    • Tom McCarthy, who nominated for the draft under an 18-month term, is widely expected to be taken by the Eagles with their first selection.

McCarthy is considered by recruiters as clear number one pick. “McCarthy then daylight”

WCE has gained a second selection with the season ending injury to Waterman.

Essendon has 4 selections with no surprise that they are targeting a ruck to assist Goldstein.

If they pull up ok tomorrow, they’ll be available for selection – at AFL or WAFL level.

Jaeger O’Meara and Michael Walters 2 weeks away.

Hayden Young listed as 8-9 weeks.

      • Especially after Liam Baker got nothing for intentionally elbowing someone in the back of the head!

I love the game but the judiciary system is a bit cooked and desperately needs an overhaul. Normal footy plays and accidental collisions are resulting in suspensions, but deliberate “non-football” acts are just waved away. It’s puzzling at best, infuriating at worst.

        • They need to refocus it on action and not outcome and accept that sometime players playing a contact sport will get concussed.

  8. Brisbane:

Oscar McInerney to miss again this week.

Keidean Coleman to miss this week after suffering swelling in his reconstructed knee.

“His knee has swelled up after his first game. That’s not unusual,” Chris Fagan said.

“Scans didn’t reveal anything, it’s just a reaction to more stress and more effort. He’s improved, but not enough to play.
“We expect him to be OK in the next week or two.”
