Hi Everyone,
Welcome to a new post that I will posting each week over the season and updating every day!
Yes, every day and many times during the day.
“Latest Updates” will be replacing “The Coaches Box”
Which I kind of took over as my own platform to supply all the latest information.
I hope everyone found some useful information amongst all the posts that filled “The Coaches Box”
Now all the posts will be in one post pinned to the top of the first page.
All the very best for the new season.
I can not wait.
Cheers
CT.

Fremantle: Sean Darcy is expected to be sidelined for up to four weeks.
“The plan is to have Sean back up and out there playing in 3-4 weeks,” High Performance Manager Phil Merriman said.
Darcy underwent an arthroscope on his left knee last week after pulling up sore from Fremantle’s two pre-season hit outs against West Coast and Port Adelaide.
No chance he’s back in “3-4” !
hey BB, CT, feels like i remember reading last week that Darcy would be out for 8-weeks… now it’s 3-4 weeks… any gut feel on exactly what we’re dealing with?? a knee scope on a big guy who’s doesn’t have a great track record; could we be looking at 2-months, more, less?
Hi Magic.
The 8 weeks was speculation. It wasn’t from the club.
I am only reporting the official medical report from Fremantle.
They are aiming to have him ready in the 3-4 weeks time frame whether he will be depends on his recovery and fitness.
The answer is a piece of string.
I can not be more helpful but will update his progression.
North Melbourne: Colby McKercher and Zane Duursma will make their AFL debuts on Saturday
St Kilda: Darcy Wilson will debut this Saturday against Geelong
Western Bulldogs:
Nick Coffield locked in for AFL return against Melbourne on Sunday. First AFL game in 938 days.
Lachlan Bramble will also play in round one, five months after being delisted by Hawthorn.
James Harmes to play his old side.
Richmond Training news:
Dustin Martin, Tom Lynch and Toby Nankervis all getting through main training unscathed ahead of Thursday’s clash with Carlton.
Sydney:
“Isaac Heeney will adapt to playing forward or midfield & wherever the team needs him”, John Longmire.
John Longmire says Isaac Heeney will play the majority of time in the midfield over the next few weeks but reiterated that they’ll use him forward if required (via SEN).
The Coaches Box was a very helpful tool, but at times information would be missed when too much went in at once. This will definitely be better to catch up on information.
Thanks CT for deciding to create this and take on the role of continuously updating the page. I’m happy to help contribute information for you as well.
Best of luck for your season CT!
Thank you Natopotato.
You are always welcome to contribute.
Have a great season also Natopotato.
WCE: Oscar Allen had to leave today’s West Coast Eagles launch – feeling slightly unwell (not Covid).
Not ruled out of Sunday’s opener at this stage.
Incredible the time and effort you put into keeping us all informed on everything supercoach. Thank you for your fantastic contributions.
Thank you Binnaway.
Just doing my bit to help all the coaches to be informed.
Good luck with your team
Collingwood:
Jeremy Howe trained fully this morning and is expected to return against Sydney. Fin Macrae in the frame to play on Friday night
TY Natopotato!
If Fin Macrae is named do we trust his JS? Or, better options elsewhere?
Adelaide: Matthew Nicks has confirmed that Taylor Walker will not play round 1 against Gold Coast – (SEN SA)
As a Crows fan; sad-face.
Thank you Natopotato for the updates.
Appreciated
S.Naismith omitted
Bye bye Mr Naismith
Livingstone?
Surely one of the WCE ruck rookies gets named.
Correct me if I’m wrong…round zero scores will count for calculating the player’s rolling average and price adjustments
TU Correct
TD Nope got it wrong
Thank you for all the updates CT, Natopotato, and the rest of the fantastic comments by the entire SCT community
TU: Short (with Daicos in midfield)
TD: Steele (with Daicos in defence)
This is not the place for these questions
CT
You do a wonderful job on this site and thank you for your efforts
Is Lastest updates replacing the feed that’s usually on the right hand side?
The one that you post with injuries, selections debuts etc………….
Again thanks
Hi thebopper,
Thank you for your kind words. Happy Supercoach Day to you and have a great season.
Yes, this post replaces “The Coaches Box”, which unfortunately due to technical difficulties is no more.
All the important information that I used to post there will be here.
In future weeks, the most important and relevant news will be at the top of the post.
Still working through the format,
Any suggestions welcomed.
Cheers
CT
Not quite the right thread. But can’t see a late min question thread. Who to take? Option one slightly better for byes.. but not sold on Fyfe at F2
T/U – LDU + Fyfe
T/D – Newcombe + Fisher
Happy Supercoach Day.
North Melbourne: Toby Pink will make his debut against GWS
Was surprised he wasn’t announced with Mcker and Duurs. Makes me think he was a last min selection. Was hoping to hear something about Nyuon but suspect he hasn’t made it (although he did play one game of another club).
WCE : Oscar Allen fit to play this week.
St Kilda:
Riley Bonner making his St Kilda debut confirmed.
Jack Sinclair will not play this weekend but round 2 return likely.
Adelaide: Chris Burgess to make his club debut
Does Burgess go out when Tex comes back in?
Probably more of a Thilthorpe replacement as he can play forward and chop out ruck role.
GWS: Finn Callaghan and Harry Perryman to play Saturday.
Not sure if this is the right thread but not sure where else to put it and have been late to SC this year so not caught up with the new bye structure. Pretty much on the weeks where only 2 teams have byes (Rounds 2,3,5,6, and 12 I believe), will these weeks scores be best 18 or best 22? If so, with so many people having Grundy and the likes of Naismith and Sweet not looking likely to play, does this mean many will be copping a donut if they don’t have appropriate cover or a Luke Jackson to swing through?
Best 18 for all of the byes.
Bulldogs: Ryley Sanders and Harvey Gallagher (123.9k FWD) will both make their debut this weekend against Melbourne
Not a fan of the disappearance of the coaches box. Was much easier to see any updates/injuries from the coaches box. Open sct and within seconds you’d see the updates from the coaches box.
I for one always scroll to recent comments and click from there to see any posts. Let’s say 15 people all comment on ‘rate my team’ then there’ll be no ‘latest updates’ in the recent comments section.
Bring back the coaches box or a ticker with the latest info. Fantasy EPL has a ticker with all the injuries etc. as opposed to having to search a pinned post.
I do agree it was easier to see information but CT did post earlier it was being replaced “due to technical difficulties”.
This page will at least be pinned to the top of the site and you can keep track on the number of responses on the page.
More detailed posts can be made too
Hawthorn:
No. 5 draft pick Nick Watson will debut this week against Essendon
Hustwaite has signed a 2 year contract extension and is signed until the end of 2026

WAtoday are reporting a doubt about Neale playing Sunday against Fremantle.

Lachie Neale is officially out against Fremantle with hamstring tightness. Gets the week off with the round 2 bye then should be back against Collingwood
Saints: Lance Collard (117k FWD) and Darcy Wilson (130.8k MID/FWD) will both make their AFL debut this weekend
St Kilda : Lance Collard ($117k FWD) to debut
Fremantle: contract extension for Justin Longmuir until at least the end of the 2025 season.
Richmond: Scans have confirmed Josh Gibcus suffered a ruptured ACL in last night’s match against Carlton
Congrats to the five coaches who didn’t have him lined up in their team!
Ummmmm……..guilty.
Fremantle: Jaeger O’Meara won’t play against on Sunday due to a sore knee.
Jeremy Sharp is into the starting 18 and Cooper Simpson added to squad as a potential debutant

North Melbourne: Josh Goater. Confirmed ruptured Achilles injury.
Essendon: Zach Reid. Hamstring.
Brad Scott saying Zac Reid only has a minor hamstring. A few weeks.
To be updated.
Brad Scott: “It’s a tight hamstring, but is it a torn hamstring? No. There may be some very minor damage…
Geelong: Jhye Clark, Zach Guthrie and Oisin Mullin re-sign.
Clark has re-signed until the end of 2026 while defensive duo Guthrie and Mullin have signed one-year extensions.
