Poll: COVID in Clubland

Written by Motts on March 17 2022

We’re hearing reports in the media that Hawthorn, Sydney and Collingwood have all had COVID scares. In Hawthorn and Sydney’s case, they’re not telling us which players are affected (although in Hawthorn’s case, the players are ‘understood’ to be McEvoy and Breust).

Does this make you a little nervous about picking players from those teams?

  1. Removed Sicily to Hewett in (rumoured) news that he may be out with Covid Protocols yesterday.

Like my setup too much to change it now lol.

Definitely keeping an eye out for any updates from CT however…

      1. Yeah, initially those rumours spooked me. Worded my comment poorly.

Looking like just Big Boy and Breust confirmed.

  3. No effect at this stage but, with so many of the teams involved who’s players being popular or must have picks, it definitely will ( for me at least ) if it keeps going !

  4. We all may be expecting some covid contact players dropped next week, as well as the standard rookie job security turmoil.

Question is does this make it be worth running 30 active players?

If one of my chosen players drops out as a close covid this week I’ll keep them onboard as a loophole. If they don’t it might make selections a bit tougher.

    1. How long are protocols? 7 or 10 days?

Just wondering, because if it’s for 10 days then potentially 2 games missed.
