    1. Baldwin could still be a good rookie if he continues to play. Essendon just had no delivery forward. Martin’s score will be in the cash development for one week. Personally, I had Baldwin if named. Keep the trade.

          1. I’m guessing wait till his bubble.

The issue was going early because of potentialy needing to do 4 trades in rd 2 but now you can go late

  1. J. McInerney to G. Hewett…possibly…McInerney’s role just seemed vastly different from pre-season – he copped some kind of minor leg knock after half-time, maybe had an impact on his score.
    What do you legends think?

    T/U – get Hewett in
T/D – keep McInerney another week

    1. I’m in the same boat. another possible option is blakey from the swans. looks like the swans have him playing that dawson role down back, only 335K.

      1. yeah…the Lizard, not thought of him…hmmm…who misses a spot when Lloyd is back in? Likely neither of Blakey or McInerney…not sure

        1. Blakey won’t miss. And in the practice game two weeks back, he had 3 kick ins. So, I think Blakey is better value than mccinerney.

  2. Good poll, Jim.

Missed both Hayes and Martin, so will likely bring both of them in when they’re on the bubble.

Otherwise, no plans as of yet.

  3. If Ward is out (soreness / managed) then I may trade him to Durdin which would allow me to field all 3 of Hayes, N. Martin and Rachele.

Otherwise, will look to use Ward as a loop with Mead/MacDonald/Stephens.

  4. For me doing 2 trades

    Whitfield to Hewett and
    Owes to Rachelle.

Rachelle is a must have rookie and owes is a dud. trading Whitfield for Hewett gives me the funds to make it happen. Plus rage trade catharsis.

Doing both a week early because the only other holes on my team are Def Premo’s and I’d like to be able to fix the issue next week without using a boost. If possible.

      1. I need to find the money for Rachelle from somewhere.

        So there’s 3 options
1 downgrade a premo and turn Owes into Rachelle
        2. Sideswap Ward
        3. Downgrade Brodie/Cogs/Gov/Xerri

All of whom looked like decent cash cows

  5. I only started Crisp because Hall had that hammie layoff going into R1, and Ryan because Lloyd wasn’t named in Thursday teams.

I’ve never owned either of them, they weren’t my first preference, and after how they played, I can’t cop the sight of them in my team. I know trading R1 is the wrong thing to do, but I won’t be keeping these guys – no matter what they score this week or next.

My only problem is finding the right week to move them out…targets are Doc, Lloyd, and Hall.

      1. As a Ryan owner I’m a bit concerned too, the pace of the game meant the sideways kicks weren’t really happening.

That being said, Adelaide’s smalls in Rowe and Rachele were killing it and he was having to be quite accountable. I expect he’ll be able to play a less accountable more intercept based role most weeks

  6. Many need to remember that round 1 only affects the pricing for 1 round.
I remember a couple of years ago there was one rookie that got the tonne round 1 but then didn’t break 30-40 for many rounds. I just can’t remember his name

    1. 100% agree. Round 1 scores are only in the price change cycle for one week, which must be considered.
In 2019, Matthew Parker went 87 and 89 in round 1 and 2 then followed it up with 47, 32 and 51, never going near those heights again in that season. Just because someone scores well for one week, does not mean they will score like that every week.

    1. I would say yes only if this somehow improves the team structure and/or opens up a loophole. Else wait a week.

  7. I might have to replace Darcy if he doesn’t come up, thinking Witt’s at this stage which will release a stack of cash, might need it if the backs fail again. Although the chatter in trade talk has calmed my nerves.

  8. With Hayes, coaches must keep note that Ryder is making his way back to the team through the VFL. This would likely mean he could return for round 3 and that could have a large effect of how Hayes scores.

Bringing him in this week could be negative results as for all we know he may be dropped for Ryder before generating any cash.

    1. I have left Martin for exactly that scenario but ? Martin’s JS as well. Whats it likely to be ?
Crisp + Zuthrie for Houston + Hewitt Leave any cheapies for next week

      1. Kyle Langford (hamstring) Scans have confirmed a hamstring strain. 8-10 weeks.
        Will Snelling (calf) two weeks.
Harry Jones (ankle)– Torn ligaments occurred at training. expected to miss 3 weeks.
        Jake Stringer (groin) Available

Those are players on the Essendon injury list. With Langford out for a long period that helps Martin’s JS

Why trade out Crisp when you chose to have him all year? He didn’t start hot last year but end up one of the best. Also had 17 CBA which could be massive next week as he didn’t take advantage of it week 1

        1. Ahh that’s the thing . I had Lloyd and went to Crisp .
As a Bears supporter if i take any of the “want away five” i’d take Doc any day but who knew that score was coming
Yes it still hurts even though it turned out ok for the club

  9. Missed Martin and Hayes.
Going to use the one trade at the moment and move Owens to Martin via Rachele DPP. was going to do Baldwin to Hayes but going to wait on Hayes as its come out he was playing on painkillers and with Ryders inclusion soon (Hoping this week so we get some sort of info)

  10. Was going Martin and opening some dpp up but with covid Protocol I’ll be waiting another week. Maybe 2, since he won’t be on the bubble yet.

More data is always good, but you don’t miss a corrective trade like that.

In any normal year I’d be forced into a trade this week on a single data point to keep my 2 corrections on the bubble. With trade boost I think I’m good to run with 3 trades for round 3 instead, and maybe Martin in before round 4.

Honestly my team is pretty solid except for the premo defender carnage.

  11. Good healthy score of 2400 but not happy with Crisp and J Berry
Was thinking to go Crisp down to Houston and J Berry upgrade to Patty Lippa

T/U Crisp to Houston, J Berry to Lipinski
T/D Keep em for another week
