With a looong round of Footy, here’s a quick go-to for some of the questions floating around on SCT this week.
Dev Smith has been crap but a couple of weeks he got 5 clangers which turn his 60-70 into 90s which is good he just needs to hit a target and stop giving away free kicks.
I’m torn on which def rookie to bring in between Ling and Watson
Based on his ceiling, which is higher than Bewley’s (or a rookie) he’s probably a Hold. He also got a junk-time goal a couple of weeks ago, that turned a 40 into a 60. He just looks out of form, which can turn quickly.
It’s probably worth looking at your planned trades. He’s got a high BE, so if you’re only holding him to then trade him next week, you may as well go early rather than have him drop another 15-20K.
Traded him to Adams
Trading him to Duncan
Worth noting that Walters plays in the last game, so you can easily loop him with Georgiades/King/Close/Cameron.
When looking at trading Devon, it is hard to find someone that can replace him. Unless you have a lot of cash, there isn’t many to bring in.
Petracca and Greenwood look like the main 2 targets as Walters is now out for 2 rounds and Brayshaw is dealing with Fyfe returning. Otherwise you’re dealing with key forwards.
Simpkin is not a bad choice but waiting a week or 2 as his last 2 rounds were 57, 35
Wanting to trade, but options are slim pickings
Not saying you should, but for 4K you could turn Dev into Josh Kennedy who has a 131 in his price cycle, and playing at home, could make a quick 80-100K with another decent score.
Yeah but 2 scores of 40 in his last 4 rounds turns me away. That is why I avoid key position players. They may score big, but when they are quiet a real low score is incoming
What’s the justification for McKay and Ling over McPherson? I’m going to hold Doedee and given that MC Pherson played pretty much the same role when Doedee came off I would think he would score similar this week (and pick off some poor forward entries for North). Ling is cheaper, but I will have to field him at D6 to cover Doedee potentially. What sort of work is McKay doing, points friendly? Seems like a consistent 50-60 bloke I guess with alrightish JS
He is playing key back but plenty of ball down there & he’s been on the list for over a year maybe 2 so knows what he’s doing. I like him a pick think he gets 60+ most games
For me it’s just the 80-90K difference, I wish I’d brought McPherson in last week but I didn’t so have to move on, Ling played as basically a back pocket which i really wasn’t expecting he looks more suited to a HB/Wing role.
Does that indicate Gould is not ready to play yet???
Tu Hmmmm, maybe;
Td Hmmmm, maybe not.
Doedee unlikely to be named as he failed to train at the Crows Captain’s run this morning via Tom Rehn on Twitter.
Just confirmed by Matthew Nick’s at his presser that Doedee will miss tomorrow night’s game with Brodie Smith to Captain.
