  1. 297/3/Not sure

I have the VC on Grundy, but all 30 of my squad played last week, need someone to get dropped so I can loophole it.

No loophole available so I decided to whack the C on Grundy. Poor second half from Neale unfortunately.

  3. 162 from 1. Got the VC on Grundy but need someone to get dropped to use it!
Maybe Bergman?? What is the deal with the medical sub. If they get picked as medical sub and don’t play do they count as a 0 or a DNP?

  4. 162/1 didn’t put vc on grundy for some silly reason don’t know, let’s hope macrae pumps out a 200 otherwise gawn it is for 150

  5. 547 / 3 / Grundy

Cracking start. Can’t believe i traded Neale to Tex but my wallet ia bulging and hopefully it sets up the rest of my season.

Great to see Grundy so dominant and my POD Lyons went large too. How’s he in only 1% of teams?!?!

    1. I should add Caldwell is my loophole for Grundy. Glad he could pitch in this week before i cast hime aside next week.

  6. I’ve started a.fyfe and Saunders for loop hole purposes. Looping rookies as much as I can, will be able to have a look at Rowe and Powell before making a decision this week.
Traded hunter and Merrett for grundy and berry. The 1 rookie 1 premo ruck gauntlet was too risky.
VC grundy so far and will obviously take it

  7. If you don’t have Gawn or Macrae (like me) then you need a big captains score from the likes of Grundy as these two have the potential to go 150 plus this week.
I have the Bont and Dunkley who also could post big scores but for me Grundy was a better choice.
    Good luck with your Captains.

  8. Probably not the correct forum to post this, however I will anyway (happy to be redirected to a more appropriate thread to repost)

Watching last night’s game, in my opinion Neale looks so underdone. I think the first half score flattered him, and the second half was more reflective of his performance.
Granted he didn’t have a ruckman doing any sort of tapwork in his favour, but he also didn’t have anyone running with him this week, no tag and still sub 100.
Am I crazy to be considering copping the 70k loss and going a straight swap to Macrae at the end of this round? Am I just jaded because this is the first season for a couple of years that I have started Neale and I am bitterly disappointed.
Would love some thoughts on the absolute migraine that is Lachie Neale at the moment.

    1. Brownlow hangover. Hard to maintain his price tag. Will still score but with a more mature group of Lions around him his influence isnt as proficient. I say trade him but it’s only my opinion.

    2. I have Neale, held him and not super thrilled. But I’m also somewhat optimistic he’s on the up from here – he battled soreness all week, which might have caught up to him as the game went on, and the Lions have a 9 day break now which can only do him good. I will be holding.

      2
    3. I’ve just read he is battling a back injury and results of a scan “don’t look good”
I was a firm hold this week, looking like a firm trade at the end of this round

  9. 284/2/Gawn but will loop for Grundy
Very happy with Grundy and also Howe pumped out a 122. Good luck to all

  10. 1026/9/Grundy

Little under par given I don’t have Ziebell and Neale, Macrae and Bont were all underwhelming. 6 premos and a strong crop of rookies to go, 2200+ would be nice.

  11. 979 / 8 /Macrae

Had the VC on Grundy but no loop so blew that. On the plus side having Highmore out and on field will give me Butts 95.

    1. Forgive me if I’m wrong but if u put C on Highmore don’t u get butts 95 points and Grundy score as captain ???
Pls thumb up or down to let me know if this is correct for my open peace of mind. Cheers.

      1. Would’ve been able to do that but had the C on Macrae and didn’t know Highmore was dropped until the Dogs already played. Should’ve put the C on Gawn after I saw Grundy’s score but flinched.

  12. 733 / 7 / Grundy x2 = 895

    Great.
    Grundy
    Ziebell
    Dunkley

    OK
    Laird
Bont ( last Qtr saved him.)
    Berry

    Poor.
    Powell

    Premo’s to play.
    Mills
    Heeney
    Cripps
    Gawn
    Steele
    Short
    Brayshaw
    Stewart

    Rookies
    H Young
    J Clark
    The 3 Swans
    Jordan
    And….
I’ve looped Rowe so he will stay benched.

    So for F6

    T/U Dow v my mob.

    T/D Brockman v Cats.

    Thanks

  13. 1160/10/Grundy
Not great and had to play Rowe since Bergman on emergency bench. Also in trouble with no cover if Koschitzke is dropped . Fingers crossed for a 2200+ score

  14. 716/6 VC Dunkley.

Considering Gawn against the Rookie Flynn.?

    Tex into the team…..ohhhh yeah.

    1. The Geelong – Hawthorn VFL game is played tomorrow before Carlton game so we should get some indication about Koschitzke and Jordan Clarke.

  15. 1001/6/Grundy Including his score

Looking OK with Fyfe also on the pine, the game changes quickly & will be facing a donut if Kosi is dropped.

  16. 1583/15/Grundy

Warner in this week was beautiful. Hoping the Brayshaw over Ridley decision works long term. Let’s go Andy!

  17. 1556/15/Tex (but actually only 14, because Highmore)

Whether that becomes 15 is up to Clarkson and Kosi.

Silly little things like reshuffling all my dpp’s to get me another 20 points (Highmore on field via Clark DPP) may cost me 65 points (Scott would likely have been my field player in the mids).

Forecast is still for 2236 which ain’t great but this looks like a bit of a disaster round for many.

      1. I haven’t seen too many sub par premium scores and rookies have all done well. Most would have VC Grundy too. Why do you both think scores will be so low this round?

        1

        0
        1. Looking in all my 10 leagues I think there are about 5 players forecast to get 2250+.

Rookies certainly haven’t “all” done well. A lot of people are risking a donut with Highmore out, and Rowe got 40. Campbell got 29. Plenty of people will be wearing all three of those.

          4

          1
      1. This is not confirmed. True, that him not playing VFL is a good sign but Mitch Lewis and Tim O’Brien also did not play. We will not know for certain until 6.25. Good luck.

    1. Kosi named on 4 player interchange and O’Brien out.

With Walsh’s score and Kosi to come in I’m now back on a chance to get 2300.

      2

  18. 1388/14/Gawn

Projected 2270 which seems to be a good score for this round.
To come: HYoung, Gawn, Oliver, Jordon, Flynn, Green, Titch and JClark.

    3

    1. Great score considering no Grundy.
Strange round with many hoping Kosi doesn’t provide them a donut. Many took MacRae captain due to no loophole until Highmore provided that albeit too late.

      1720/17/Grundy
Hoping for a Kosi showing and proj 2200
      Good luck coaches.

      3

      1. None of them are playing VFL today so it is premature to speculate that Kosi is “named”?
There are still three options for Kosi – (1) named to play, (2)named to be emergency thus a candicate for medical sub and finally (3)dropped from team.

The only thing we know for certain is he was not named to play VFL today , so the rest is pure speculation until teams are named at 6.25 today.

For those desperately hoping that he is named I wish you well.

  19. 1524/14/Grundy

    Impey, Brockman/Rowe…..either 1
    Gawn
Brayshaw, Jordan, Phillips (Fyfe DNP)…….score replaced by Phillips on Monday…if plays.
    Stewart, Jiath, Clark/Koschitzke ……just need 1 or it’s a donut

2200 appears to be max expectations……2300 and I might say something nice about SC structure……

    1. You’re looking pretty good there. Hopefully Monday’s game brings the Hathorn/Geelong rivalry back from the dead.

  20. 1392/13/vc on Grundy.
plenty of solids left to play. Let’s see what today and tomorrow brings. Hoping for 2300, realistically 2150.
Now, considering I have 6 mids still to play, who are all capable playas, anything is possible.
    Good luck coaches.

    2020/19/Gawn obviously

    Impey, Stewart and Clark tomorrow

    1. Correction

2013 and not 2020 although not sure why it was changed in SC

      Projected 2214 – thinking it’ll be closer to 2250

  22. 2162/20/Walker (VC)

Robbed myself 30 points on Gawn, but a safe 130 you take.

Kosi and Clark to go. 2300 still possible if unlikely.

  23. 2064/Grundy with just Clark and Kosi to come. I’m pretty happy considering I have Danger and Fyfe on the pine.

    1. There’s a lot of people who have some absolute disasters due to low scores, injuries etc.

That won’t affect everyone, but it certainly does make par much harder to judge.

I think we’re still looking somewhere around 2200 par.

      3

      0
      1. That’s what I’m thinking. I reckon a lot of people who’ve done well the first two weeks might be a bit down and a different group might get higher scores this week.

    2. I’m in a bunch of really good leagues, looking through all of them the projected scores are heavily in majority of 2100 – 2150

There will obviously be some exceptions of massive scores and low scores this week but anything 2200 or above will see people rise in rankings.

      7

  24. 1850 / Maximus

Titch, Stewart, Brockman and Koschitzke to come. Made a complete balls of my trading this week so hoping to scrape to 2150 and not drop too far in the rankings.

No O’Connor tag today would be nice!

  25. 2051/20/Grundy
    Impey and Kosi to come.
Ranked 3,272. Don’t think I’ll improve on that this week . Just hope I don’t drop too much.

  26. 1,945 / 20 / Grundy
Stewart & Koschitzke to play. I’ll be lucky to break 2,100 which is a bit bleak. Rank 700 overall and likely to drop after this week.

Thought it was a reasonably good score at first with the likes of Grundy, Tex, Ziebell, Steele, Lloyd etc.. But really let down by some rookies this week: Rowe (40), Campbell (29) & Young (19). I don’t think I’ll be the only one though

Still have Jiath, Stewart, Brockman, Impey and Clark to play today. Projected 2231 feels nice with Oliver stinking it up this week.
