  1. Pending final teams … (2k ITB)

Def: Stewart, Docherty, Yeo, Jones, Ginbey, Constable (Wilmot, Cowan)
Mid: Laird, Oliver, Neale, Hopper, Callaghan, Ashcroft, Mackenzie, Baker (Phillips, Chesser, Cincotta)
    Ruck: English, Marshall (Madden)
Fwd: Dunkley, Rozee, Taranto, Gulden, Fyfe, Bruhn (Greene, Davey)

I’ve flipped between Stewart/English/Mackenzie/Fyfe for Ridley/Green/Cameron/Phillipou but feel as if the former has a higher ceiling. Any thoughts? Cheers

    1. Good team.

The forward line is pretty special, Gulden, Fyfe and Bruhn is deep.

You could look at picking one of Fyfe or Bruhn and have a look at a cheap F6, but I’m not sure where you would spend the extra cash

  2. I posted this at the bottom of the last thread so I don’t know if it got any interaction. If this is seen as spamming on this site I’ll apologise and delete it.

DEF: Docherty, Dawson, Jones, Cole, Ginbey, Constable (Wilmot, Cowan)
DD’s up top, pretty comfortable at the moment with the decision to bring in two big premiums in defence. Originally had Yeo in for Cole, and would probably still prefer him, but sacrifices had to be made.

MID: Laird, Oliver, Neale, Green, Callaghan, Ashcroft, Mackenzie, Phllips (Baker, Chesser, Davey)
Neale is the big inclusion this time, gives myself 3 massive captaincy options each week. These midfield bench rookies are giving me the shits though, just as they are everyone else. No Hopper is probably the biggest exclusion on this list, but he just doesn’t really fit my structure at the moment.

    RUC: Darcy, Marshall (Madden)
Marshall is whatever at this point, he looks good so far. Regardless, everyone has him so he’s no longer a talking point. The other ruck spot though? Boy oh boy wowee! I’ve gone through Grundy, Witts, Cameron, ROB, English, Sandilands, Cox. Maybe I started dreaming of days gone past towards the end there. Ultimately (for now) I’ve settled on Darcy. I do understand the potential of Jackson hurting his score, but Luke seems like a really nice guy, and I don’t think he’d want to steal anyone’s points. In all seriousness, my thoughts were that I thought if Gawn and Jackson can make it work, Darcy, being the superior tap ruckman between himself and his new partner, will be attending majority of the ruck contests, and thus his average should not decrease. (Also I wanted to see a bit of purple in my lineup, that’s probably the main reason).

FWD: Dunkley, Moore, Rozee, Taranto, Bruhn, Phillipou (Greene, Sturt)
A relatively strong forward line, with Moore probably my most POD pick of the team. Dunkley is a lock, and in all honesty I’m real scared of starting the season without Rozee or Taranto in the team either. Bruhn is really my only proper mid-pricer in the lineup (I see Jones and Callaghan as just really expensive rookies), and thus, my least confident pick. There’s also no forward rookies that I want to see on the field, unfortunately the structure dictates that one must be there.

    $$$: 50,100

In a preseason where mid pricers are all the rage, I’ve done my best to stick to the tried-and-true Guns and Rookies approach. By my count, I’ve got 12 premiums that I know I can depend on.
The main changes from last time include: Yeo, Hopper, Grundy, Sheezel -> Cole, Neale, Darcy, Chesser.
Ultimately, I know shit all about what makes a good team this year, which is why I’m letting you all judge mine instead

    1. For what it’s worth, I think the main changes you’ve made are a clear upgrade… 2 excellent keepers from 3 decent players.

    2. Very strong side! I really like what you’ve done here passing on yeo and Hopper doesn’t look to hurt you too bad really. That M1-4 and forward line should make up plenty of points.
Good to see it get away from the cookie cutters you see.

  3. DEF: DOCH, RIDLEY, YEO
    JONES, GINBEY, CONSTABLE (WILMOT,COWAN)

    MID: LAIRD, BONT, LDU??, GREEN
HOPPER, WORPEL, ASHCROFT, MACKENZIE (PHILIPS, BAKER, CINCOTTA)

    RUC: ENGLISH, MARSHALL (MADDEN)

    FWD: DUNKLEY, ROZEE, TARANTO,
    GULDEN, SHEEZEL, MCLEAN (GREENE, DAVEY)

LDU has swapped between Steele and Brayshaw everyday, wouldnt mind trusting my gut and going with the POD of LDU, but still in the air. Would like to make room for Fyfe in my team but do not think I am able to. Tell me your thoughts on the squad! cheers

    1. I love the LDU pick tbh, I think that both in Supercoach and AFL this year he’ll have a fantastic year. If you’re really keen on getting Fyfe in, the best way would be downgrading whichever of Worpel or Hopper you prefer less to a rookie, and upgrading one of your forward rookies to Fyfe.

      3

    2. I like the LDU pick, Charlie. Wish I had it in me to do it myself. I’m a norff supporter an absolutely love LDU has every chance to go 110+. The only reason I haven’t got him is how many big losses will we be on the end of in 2023. Goodluck with it though!

All in all a pretty solid side hopefully McLean can do what he’s shown in the past and score well for you and become a reliable F6, He has runs on the board.

      2

    3. For me LDU is in a losing side and will have some consistency issues… Might average 100 but a yoyo at that. You could go up to Macrae or Neale with guarenteed premo points (they are also relative PODs atm) or sideways to Titch/ Will Brodie. If you pick LDU you are picking as a POD premo and will probably hold for the season, and that will make or break your season too

      1. If I swap LDU out it’s out of brayshaw and Steele probably no one else don’t have the cash to go up and don’t trust the guys below. But cheers I’ll consider everything mate

  4. My latest iteration… Main change I’ve opted for was to downgrade Dawson to Jones, which allowed me to upgrade Titch to Laird and a cow to Bruhn.

DEF: Docherty, Yeo, Jones, Ginbey, Mckenna, Constable (Wilmot, Cincotta)
MID: Laird, Merrett, Green, Warner, Setterfield, Hopper, Ashcroft, Philips (Baker, Davey, Phillipou)
    RUCK: Darcy, Marshall (McAndrew)
FWD: Dunkley, Rozee, Taranto, Gulden, Ziebell, Bruhn (Sheezel, Greene)

    1. I don’t know if I’m much of a fan of the midfield, I think there’s too many risks. The first three are all relatively safe, however I think all three of Warner, Setterfield and Hopper are too much, especially when one could be downgraded to a Mackenzie in order to upgrade another to an uber premium.
Otherwise, I like the look of the rest

      5

      1. Thanks Balla. Hopper the one I see as expendable of the three you described, but I don’t see anyone obvious to spend the change on.

    3. That defence is pretty lite.

      Would probably rather have

Philapou/Sheezel on field then most of your Def rookies.

If you swapped one of Warner/Green to a 500k defender and moved Cincotta into the mids (or upgraded to chesser depending on rookies named) I think that gives you a lot more stability and upside in terms of on field rookies.

  5. I didn’t get to watch the practice game, but any intel on Mitch Hinge? Based on his score, I’m guessing a half back distributor role although Adelaide already have a couple of those types. Anyone considering or was it just an inflated score against subpar opposition (sorry GD)

  6. Locked and loaded ready for teams to drop, panic stations hit and completely shit the bed making every wrong move possible.

DEF: doch ridley yeo Jones Ginbey Constable (Wilmot cowan)

MID: Laird bont Jelly Green setterfield Hopper ashcroft Phillips (mackenzie chesser baker)

    RUCK: Marshall Cameron (madden)

FWD: dunks rozee taranto gulden Flanders sheezel (davey greene)
    BANK: $5k

Few little changes but feel good. I’ve changed my ruck line I have opted for Cameron as it allowed me to get ziebell up to Gulden. I’m not sold on this selection it’s purely a defensive move if he pops off I want to be on with 35% of the comp. Going Cameron also let’s me have a look at who can partner Marshall long term and I’ll flip Cameron FWD.. Cameron should go 95 which I’ll take

I’m getting very nervous with Jelly now I’ve looked at his fixture yeah it’s easy for GWS but he may cop a tag in rounds 4,5&6!! Hawks, dons and Brisbane. Should I be concerned?
I’m also stoked to have setterfield at 3% of teams.. he’s going to average 100+.

    1. Lost your mettle on LDU, Mav, but still an excellent side. Nicely balanced.

Tags a risk for any MID. GWS with a very nice fixture. Hawks could definitely use Maginness but think the GWS MIDs would be dancing in so much economy that he could still ton.

      1. Yeah and makes me feel sick to know i dont hsve him there, GD haha. I do have a little way to get him in. It looks something like:
        OUT: Gulden, Flanders, setterfield
        IN: LDU, Bruhn, mclean
As a package I think I prefer the ‘OUTS’

Or Jelly straight down to him! But pretty bullish on Kelly after seeing his inside role and fixture, rolls Royce of that midfield.

    2. Nice team. Not sure two GWS mids is the safest choice considering GWS projected ladder position but also both have upside so see why you’d have them.

    1. Solid side Chris.
Looks a pretty solid structure and nailed some premiums.. only player I’m not sold on is Sturt don’t know how Solid his JS is and scoring ability.. also I recommend getting will Phillips if you could behind ashcroft he’s probably the pick of the rookies this year.

    2. Yep. Mav spot on. Phillips a must have on role and Sturt bench only.

Love the rest of the side. Value-driven and structurally balanced.

      Good stuff, Chris.

    1. I’m too old to manage screen shots and stuff….but
On header of the supercoach website, you have a profile icon on right hand side next to kentucky logo (with your name)
Click that and go to ‘my profile’
There you can edit team name

  9. Hi All,

Any comments welcome – like all of you…made 1,000 moves in last 4 weeks….

DEF: Doc, Daws, Yeo, crozier, ginbey, constable (2 x rook)
Mid: Neale, Bont, kelly, Green, worpel, callaghan, ashcroft, mackenzie, (3 x rook)
    Ruc: Darcy, marshall (rook)
FWD: Dunks, Moore, Taranto, Ziebell, bruhn, sheezel (2 x rook)
    ITB: $61k

Def: still not sold on yeo, but proven performer, will play every week, get mid time not sure if keeper…crozier similar, but a stepping stone
Mid: think it was GD who said it in the prac match review…the new coach plays his best players in their correct positions…kelly has his body right…great price
Worpel instead of hopper mainly due to experience, consistency and guaranteed mid time with no titch or omeara
May use some of my cash itb for a satan/laird…waiting for rookie drop
Fwds: had moore all of last year, want him again. Ziebell – seems role is there and games certain , a stepping stone. Bruhn is going to get mid time…first game is important watch, prob only stepping stone

I’m sure I will make a couple of moves before Thursday…but risk is considered, just need the buggers to play to potential.
Please feel free to throw a comment in
    Cheers

  12. This is designed to have all other sections help out the midfield.
    I’m aiming for-
    DEF/FWD 550 pts average p/w.
    RUC 220 p/w
    Captain 130 p/w.
For a total of 1450 pts average p/w.

For 2200 p/w the mids need to get an average of 94 each.(not all get 94 average but the total points scored every week averages out at 94 each, so a couple of 110’s and a couple of 70’s all up) Helped out by the other line chipping in also. so anything above 550 FWD/DEF or 220 RUK and the C score helps the mids average up.

10 bona-fide keepers. 4 rooks on field. Very flexable for the byes.
I have Fyfe, Sheed, Yeo, Gulden, Jones as back ups through DPP’s to trade in so no one is Putting me out(i.e. Trade out worpal, put ginbey into mids then bring jones into def etc).

Without any starting mids it seems weak, but if i can get to 2200 a week it’s actually fine. I can see all the other lines breaking my point mark easily in turn. 1 week def goes 600 then the fwd’s followed by the ruck at 250.
Setterfield, Hopper, worpal and ashcroft should all get near 95 average most weeks. most could go 110 from time to time(or 50).
But if stewart, cogs, doc, rozee, dawson, sic, Dunks the rucks go 140-150 i can afford a 50 or 2.
    This team helps each other.

DEF-SIC, STEWART, DOC, DAWSON, Ginbey, Constable-Wilmot, Cincotta.
MID-Setterfield, Ash, Hopper, Worpal, nwm, Flanders, Callaghan, Ashcroft-Philips, Baker, Davey.
    RUC-GAWN, ROMO, Madden
FWD-DUNKS, COGS, ROZEE, TARANTO, jhf, Bruhn-Green, Sturt.

Just deciding weather to drop stewart(tags) to ridley and cogs to gulden then upgrade flanders and callaghan to sheed and fyfe…

    Good luck all!

    1. I dont pretend to know much about this and memory tells me you smoke me most years (every year?) in score ToF…but that is ballsy…
Understand your logic, but not sure how hard it will be to earn the required coin to get the $600k+ mids in by round 8 onwards as you start to move full premo..
      nvm not for me..
ash – could be a very good move or not -??
to get an avg of 94 across those mids…is going to be a wild ride

      1

      0
      1. Same could be said of the 600 k defenders… Also Nvm is at m5. Most people are running 3-4 premiums deep it the mids so he’s likely going up against hopper, callaghan or ashcroft so not to many points lost if he goes 80 average. As soon as these guys get to 400 k there one down/up to 700 k players or a tagged premium at 550-600k putting money in the bank for next trade. They dont have to average 90 for the season just long enough to make coin, so a rolling 90 ave for 3-4 rounds(to get in the 700k guys). Throw in ginbey, constable phillips baker and green the money will appear. I’m Bont, Laird oliver and green away from being out of danger
That’s 2 boosts for 2, another to drop in price from a tag and the last i should have cash left over for the upgrade. Then just pick and choose after that.

        1. Love it.

The biggest thing that scares me is the lack of a reliable captain. But this is a textbook “Rookies determine structure” team.

    2. Just been looking at Cogs v Taranto etc.Cogs wasn’t in my side but with retained role and injury free is now.He went 120 after the bye. Even with some regression should still be f1-3. Cogs a keeper now for me.

  13. Bit concerned about only having 11 keepers (excluding mid-pricers) but thinking of going for a point of difference by fading Gulden. At this stage I’ll have just enough cash in the bank to trade Duursma to Worpel (or go down to Callaghan) if the pick doesn’t plan out after a couple of rounds.

Any feedback is appreciated – thanks in advance

D: Stewart, Doch, Yeo, Jones, Ginbey, Constable (Wilmot, Cowan)

  14. Morning all, any feedback would be appreciated. Pending the drop of teams on the rookies.

D: Sicily, Docherty, Yeo, Jones, Ginbey, McKenna, (Wilmot, Constable).
M; Laird, Neale, Bontempelli, Hopper, Callaghan, Ashcroft, Mackenzie, Baker, (Phillips, Davey, Cincotta).
    R; Darcy, Marshall (Madden).
F: Dunkley, Coniglio, Rozee, Taranto, Bruhn, Phillipou, (McLean, Greene)

Mian concerns are that I’m a little light on Premo’s, have few too many mid -pricers, some of the rookies are quite expensive. I’d hope this side would be capable of some good cash generation. Not sold on McLean, but not really keen on the alternatives either (King, Ratugolea, Pedlar, Menzie, Sturt), his DPP at least is handy.

Other rookie options if the teams don’t drop how I’d like them are Chesser, Caminiti, Montgomerie, Young, Cowan.

  18. Hi all,
Not sure what take this is but I feel like I’ve had a hell of a lot more versions this year than any other.

DEF: Stewart, Doc, Dawson, Ginbey, Constable, Cincotta (Cowan, Wilmot).
I’ve had Sicily in most but the 20k seems to have more value elsewhere in the structure I’ve gone for. Had Yeo once but gonna bet on him under performing…
Worried about the final rookie spot but I have to gamble somewhere.

MID: Laird, Oliver, Neale, Green, Callahan, Ashcroft, Mackenzie, Phillips (Baker, Chesser, Drury)
Must say that GD’s team reveal inspired me to fade Hopper. I’ve had my doubts but didn’t have the stones to drop him until I saw that post. (Speaking of stones, I reckon you must wheel yours round in a barrow, GD, judging by your back line).
I used the $ to take Laird over Bont and strengthen my FWD line.

    RUCK: Marshall, Cameron (Madden)
Wanted Darcy (and have had him in a few versions) but you can’t have it all…

FWD: Dunkley, Coniglio, Taranto, Ziebell, Fyfe, Greene (Sturt, McAndrew).
Have built most previous versions with Rozee in but used the $ to get Green in the MID. I’ve vacillated between Fyfe and Ziebell. Could be a losing bet having both…

Would like to have Phillipou and Davey rather than Chesser and Drury but I’m happy with the balance I’ve struck, for the next couple of hours at least.

    Would love any suggestions…

  19. Interested to hear your thoughts. Very similar key players as a lot of the teams, tried for a couple POD

B: Sicily, Doct, Dawson, Jones, Gibney, Constable (rooks)

M: Oliver, Bont, tracca, Titch, Hopper, Ashcroft, Phillips (rooks)

    R: Marshall, Cameron (??)

F: Dunks, Rozee, Taranto, Fyfe, Sheezel, Philippou (Rooks)

    $122k

Not sure about Cameron, could up to Darcy. Would like to try and sneak Yeo in but fairly heavy down back already. Fyfe has burnt many coaches over the last couple of years, priced well though.

    Cheers

  20. TU: Ziebell at F5, Phillips M8, Hollands M9
TD: Trade ziebell to Sheezel who goes to F6, Hollands to Worpel who goes M5 and Phillips goes to M9

Sorry if that’s a bit confusing but basically have ziebell and not sold on him so wondering if it’s better to switch him to Sheezel then use the money to from hollands who’s on my midfield bench up to Worpel meaning Phillips gets benched

    RUC: English, Marshall, (Madden)
FWD: Dunkley, Rozee, Taranto, Fyfe, Sheezel, Ratugolea, (Phillopou, Drury)
Honestly have no idea which of the rookies are playing and what’s happening with them, but I got Magor assuming he’s a loophole.
Anyway thanks for reading please help 🙂 🙂

Is Drury a loophole option or something? If not why is there no midfield loophole this year

  26. 10 premiums, all the must have rookies and almost all the mid pricers:

D – Doch, Yeo, Bowes, Jones, Ginbey, Constable (Wilmot, Cincotta or Cowan)

M – Laird, Oliver, Bont, Hopper, Bruhn, Callaghan, Ashcroft, Mackenzie (Bytle, Phillips, Baker)

    R – Witts, Marshall (loop)

F – Dunks, Cogs, Taranto, Gulden, Ziebell, Fyfe (Greene, Davey)

Can easily trade to correct (eg Ziebel+Fyfe = Rozee+rookie , Bruhn+Bowes=Green+rookie) but the upside could be enormous – more points early, fast cash generation etc

    What can possibly go wrong?

  27. Not the team I thought I was going to have.
I am sure it looks very similar to many other teams, but I don’t go for pods.
Pods are irrelevant, points and dollars count.
Many good players who might be top picks or breakout contenders, have been in and out, and now gone by the wayside (Grundy, Daicos, Brayshaw, Cripps, Titch, Stewart, Cogs, Warner, Newcombe) . By the end of the year some will be back.
Bye structure is 8,1,10,11 but it’s a long time between now and round 15, and targets of Miller, Neale, Ridley & Petracca brought in progressively, shift those numbers significantly. Just have to build up a bit of a war chest leading in, or have the luxury of sideways trades.
I think this is my final starting team, before the sides are announced anyway, but never say never.
Feel free to highlight or comment on any dumb or smart picks.
Good luck one and all. Have at it!

    1. Not sure about starting Mckenna, Maybe cutting Phillips and menzie for cheaper rookies gets you to Jones

      1. Thank you for your comments Going,Going,Gawn & Derek. Yes these low priced selections are all dependent on being picked first round. Cincotta has already been turned into Cowan on the report that Cowan is a first up starter. $14.9k currently in the bank. Menzie may be changed into another cheaper rookie, playing earlier in the round if the cash looks like being an issue, and the Essendon list is announced too late in relation to other team selections.

  28. TU : Bruhn (F4), Flanders (F5) McLean(F6)
    TD: D Cameron (F4 – to open R/F loop), McLean (F5) Greene (F6)

TD option gives me an extra onfield rookie but ruck backup
    McLean might yet become Sheezel.

  32. This MAY be my final team going into Rd.1

DEF – Docherty, Dawson, Ridley, Jones, Ginbey, Constable (Wilmot, Cincotta)
MID – Oliver, Macrae, Merrett, Green, Hopper, Ashcroft, Mackenzie, Phillips (Baker, Chesser, Davey)
    RUC – Darcy, Marshall (Madden)
FWD – Dunkley, Coniglio, Taranto, Fyfe, Bruhn, Greene (Sturt, Drury)

    $11K remaining

Not sure if Greene at F6 is 100% ideal, but I had to do that to fit both Darcy and Fyfe in. If a few of you think that it’s vital to have Sheezel at F6, I’ll have to downgrade either one of Marshall or Fyfe. I know there’s a few of you who would probably recommend me changing Ridley to Yeo to do that, but I’m not doing it END. OF. STORY. I don’t trust his scores with no Naitanui and I don’t trust that he’ll be able to play out the whole season. Hasn’t played a full season since 2019 and hasn’t played more than 12 games in one season since then. I know you can say the same about Fyfe, but Fyfe’s played a few more games at least.
Plus I feel way safer with 3 premo options in my defence.

    1. You could upgrade Phillips to Philapou (F6)

Baker, Chesser and Wilmont all seem more reliable then Greene on field and DPP and this change would see them on field instead of him. But you could still move things around via DPP if he gets a good score

  34. Hi all!
Craziest week of the year is upon us! Lots of wrestling with this one, any feedback would be appreciated.

  35. Gone a touch lighter at the back to squeeze in the big four up forward, leaving about 23k in the bank. Love to hear any thoughts!

  36. Gotten rid of Laird, Oliver and Neale over the last few days……. wtf is happening?
Current swing to field less rookies and go for early points:

    DEF: Cumming, Ridley, Yeo
    Jones, Ginbey, Wilmot (2x rooks)

    MID: Bont, Macrae, Steele,
    Green, Hopper, Callaghan
    Ashcroft, Mackenzie (3x rooks)

    RUCK: Darcy, Marshall (Rook)

    FWD: Dunks, Rozee, Taranto
    Gulden, Fyfe, Bruhn (Rooks)

Defence is iffy, but not sold on 600k defenders and feel like both Cumming and Ridley will be right up there this year. Hoping Daicos dips and I can snag him for Yeo at some point.

Mid I freed up by getting rid of big 3 – but Macrae and Steele have been top 3 midfielders and Bont ready to fire this year.

Ruck and Forward just seems nice to me.
    Any takes??

      1. Hey mate, love this one.

Absolutely love the Whitfield POD, he’s been in my considerations for a while now.

My only change would be McLean -> Mackenzie. Besides that, 5 star team, best of luck this season!

  38. Except for a couple of positions, almost ready to go.

Sicily, Docherty, Yeo, Jones, Ginbey, McKenna (Constable, Cowan)

Wilmot could replace McKenna if he is named, but I’m more happy with McKenna on field. Should improve.

Bont, Macrae, Green, Titch, Hopper, Ashcroft, Mackenzie, Phillips (Holland, Chesser, Baker)

Bont has replaced Oliver, don’t think there is much between their scoring but saves $60k. Ditched the Whitfield plan (still think he is a chance to be a top 6 defender for $473k). Titch hasn’t left my team. Holland could become Roberts to put some cash in bank.

    Grundy, Marshall (Madden)

Just can’t go past Grundy for $500k, even though I know he is sharing ruck duties. He is a gun.

Dunkley, Cogs, Rozee, Taranto, Fyfe, McLean (Greene, Davey)

Fyfe just ahead of Bruhn, but could easy change if he is named in the guts. Wasn’t tempted by Guldens nice practice game.

$200 left over. Might look at taking some cash from Holland or McKenna

    Thanks fellas

    1. The thing to remember with the 200/300k players is that if you think they make you 150k they count as rookies.

      >350k or hoping they will be a premo is where you get into trouble.

    1. This is almost a coin toss. Fyfe just, maybe (the 2 Brownlow medals helps). Seems like he is fit. His role is clear, playing as a forward, but hopefully Fremantle can get it down there enough.

Bruhn has the appeal of playing in the guts. Gotta love a midfield in SC. Not sure how much midfield he gets, didn’t see much of Bowes in the preseason and if he will take minutes away from Bruhn (Bowes getting midfield makes him a good option for less money).

    1. Love the Whitfield selection. I can see him averaging close to top 6 defender for only $473k and should get DPP.

Only reason I went away from selecting him is his durability. Hasn’t had a good run last few years.

Who plays in place of Fyfe / Setters dependant on who you choose?

      1. Hey mate yeh im settled on my team just unsure about that 300k+ mid pricer. Already have bruhn and hopper just tossing up between the four of ziebell (North have a lot of distributors now a lot more than his 107 season), worpel (kicking efficiency and consistency an issue), fyfe (role not that good could have a few rly low scores) and setterfield (Not sure how much mid time he actually gets). Rly unsure but need to pick the one that makes 150k and atm think its between setterfield and worpel

        3

        0
        1. 100% with ya on Setters or Worp.

If you can use that 40k, grab Worp, he also doesn’t need to score as well to make good coin.

If you have 40k handy though, grab Setterfield, feel he definitely out-does Worpel this year. Even more-so if injury hits the Dons mids.

  43. Is D.Cameron a good play If we can use the 100k elsewhere? Cameron can play a role for 6-8 weeks til we know more about the R1&2 situation then if he’s averaging 95ish we can just swing him forward until he is ready to go up to a top tier player… thoughts?

    1. I don’t think anyone is looking at him as a keeper. If he isn’t a keeper how much cash will he make? Not much.

      1. Thanks for the comment Derek dont need him to finish a keeper just average 95 and do his role we have plenty of trades I think the DPP makes it more appealing as well for a little more flexibility if I had ratugolea at F6 or F7..

I just looked at Melbourne’s draw for the ruck an it looks so easy definitely opportunities to beat up on some average rucks!! Just not sure Grundy averages enough to justify selection and I’m priced out of gawn.. Grundy still in 11% of sides though just not many I see I suppose.

  44. TU- Sic(d1), Gawn(r1), Cogs(f2), Mackenzie(m8), Constable(d6).
4 rookies on field. 3 most likely top line players.

    TD- Ridley(d4),S Darcy(r1), Gulden(f4), Flanders(m6), Callaghan(m7).
3 rookies on field. 1 most likely top line player and 2 possible.(constable on bench)

Is the 1 less rookie on field worth gambling on Darcy, Gulden and Ridley over Sic, Gawn and Cogs.

    Thoughts on the side?

  46. DEF: Sicily, Ridley, Yeo, Jones, Ginbey, Constable (Wilmot, Cowan)

MID: Oliver, Bont, Green, Taranto, Hopper, Callaghan, Ashcroft, Phillips (Baker, Chesser, Davey)

    RUCK: Darcy, Marshall (Madden)

FWD: Dunkley, Coniglio, Rozee, Gulden, Ziebell, Ratugolea (F. Greene, Chandler)

I went light in defence and midfield to boost up rucks and forwards. You will see coaches putting tags on Premos (Brayshaw, Miller, Dawson, Laird etc). I went Oliver, he has proven to beat the tag.

Bont will play full time onball, Oliver will play mid and short stints as halfback, he was still racking up touches at halfback in praccy. I don’t think it will affect Oliver’s overall scoring.

Taranto was averaging 91 (playing mid/fwd role), now, will play full time onball, pushing his average to 110 i reckon. Players between top 10-14 in mids were averaging 110-111. I think he will score like a midfield premo therefore allows me to pour extra cash to have depth in forward line.

I don’t have much faith in mid pricers and rookies this year because coaches will employ tactical sub and substituting players who are having trouble impacting the game (Affecting possibly Flanders, Bruhn, Bowes and expensive rookies type players).

    What are your thoughts supercoaches?
