Another round is gone and the challenging bye weeks are here. There were some great performances from the rookies this week which was more than handy. There are a few decent options to bring in this week who have had their bye in Sheldrick, Melican and Mullin to name a few, if they can all remain in their respective sides. We also have some non-rookies that are now rookie priced with Robertson from Brisbane a potential target if he is named in the 22.
It’s the perfect time to trade the rookies on their bye such as Michalanney and Chandler. They have been excellent rookies for us but it is now time to trade them in for a premium that has had their bye.
Players on the bubble are marked with an asterisk.

Harry SHEEZEL (FWD) | NTH | $455,100 (-$9.1k) | 98 (97) | 94 |
The Good: Sheezel bounced back with a good game playing down back as well as some stints through the middle. He ended up with 24 touches, 7 marks, 4 intercepts and just under 500 metres gained. Ginbey was one of not many shining lights in the Eagles big loss. He had 19 touches at 84% with 7 tackles, 4 one percenters and 3 clearances as he split his time on ball and in defence. Wilmot had one of his best games with 18 touches, 3 marks, 4 tackles and 5 intercepts and should be good cover during the byes for the few that haven’t cashed him in yet.
The Bad: Young played 78% game time for his 1 kick, mark and tackle game. Bergman and O’Donnell were both subbed out with around 50% TOG after having quiet games.
Time To Trade: Michalanney, Ginbey, McVee

Will ASHCROFT | BRL | $425,400 (+$5k) | 79 (80) | 116 |
The Good: Johnson in just 62% TOG had 25 touches with 12 contested, 6 tackles and 7 clearances in a great game getting some valuable midfield time with O’Meara out, hopefully he can still see some time in there next week when he returns. Wardlaw had the best game of his young career showing what he can do with 22 touches at 77% with 10 contested, 2 marks, 9 tackles, 6 clearances and a goal. 6 clangers let his score down a little as well unfortunately but he had a great game still and hopefully this score was not stuck on your bench.
The Bad: Rowston was the sub for his 2 kicks, 1 mark and a goal from just 15% TOG. Baker was also the sub to have 4 touches and 2 marks in 34% game time.
Time To Trade: Baker

So we’re all waiting on Thursday teams to see if Mullin is named then? A handy downgrade for Young.
I’d still be hesitant to bring him in as I need him more for R15 than R14. The troops are coming back for Geelong soon, Danger already confirmed for this week.
I’m hoping to leave Mitchell at D7 and hope my D8 won’t be needed, so long-term his job security shouldn’t matter (fingers crossed!). If he gets named and plays well he should be fine for Rd15 as well, they seem to like him so we’ll see.
Well looks like he’s out for sure with an adductor injury, at least we know early I guess
Bye planning with cats rookies is a dangerous game, Rats and Mullin both in my plans and both fell when needed.
Thoughts on josh Fahey..?
He’s a decent scorer when given the chance but they have a few players returning after their bye apparently which worries me.
If he had already had his bye I’d be very interested and take the risk but at this stage I’m probably going to give him a miss
I’m looking at as well as a D8! Wouldn’t want to have to rely on him, if you have other D/Ms the flexibility could be useful too.
Angus Sheldrick worth picking up? Any JS?
He should stay in the team but his role will change with Parker coming back this week. He seems like a decent pick still as he can score well and he’s had his bye
Team any chance we could get a poll on how much trades people have left?
And what to do with Sicily now that he’s out for 3 weeks. I get why the tribunal is cracking down on dangerous tackles but geez it’s making playing supercoach so much more difficult. We almost need additional trades to compensate for the increase in players missing games through suspensions.
Good idea Lisa, except none of my players are missing through suspension. I’m just bad at picking rookies and midpricers:)
Can players still appeal tribunal verdicts? Pretty sure if he did it would be reduced or may even get off like what happened to Cripps last year
Lisa, I’d be trading Sicily as he will miss 4 weeks including his bye now plus he is very expensive so gives you plenty of cash for your next upgrade. Best options in defence are Stewart, Sinclair, Lloyd, Ryan or if you like a bit riskier picks you could go Wilkie, Weller or Young
Archie, I believe they can challenge the decision still. I think van Rooyen did earlier this year and was free to play.
Hi Alza, had already decided that Sicily has to go. The leftover money on a replacement will be handy for sure. Would be happier if there wasn’t a need to replace premiums – first Oliver and now Sicily. 3 weeks plus a bye round is just too much to carry for me.
Best prospective 102k player that may play by years end??
Any ideas?
Bomber
Buller (Swans) – 5 goals on debut in the magoos
Maric(WCE) – he gets a game solely as they don’t have anyone to pick from
Trezise (Richmond) and Montgomerie (Essendon) both require injuries
Good luck
Anyone have any thoughts/insights on Harvey Harrison?
Obviously would only bring him in post bye
He has played fairly well in his 2 games but there are a couple of players to come back in after the bye. Elliott and McStay will be back and then Sidebottom also a chance.
If he can hold after his bye then his JS might be decent enough to pick but I am not sure he will hold.
