SCTTL Review & Trade Talk

Written by JimmyDee on June 14 2021

Barrie’s Team, Phil Gilbert Allstars, starred this round and was the only coach to top 2000 points in the Tech Leagues, moving him up to second overall in the group.
His 2019 score came from 21 players with him dropping the scores of Heeney, Murphy and Bianco, but picking up huge scores from Jelly, Hall and Titch and gambling on Max over the Steele VC for a three point loss. Not bad considering the gamble.

However, another fifteen coaches managed to score over 1900 points in a sure sign they are getting towards their final sides. Top of this lot was Terangatangs (1994), Chips Ahoy (1991) and Ninius (1983), ensuring Grace hangs onto top spot in the group. Good job Lisa.

A check of the teams showed that there were not too many issues in playing a best eighteen this week, but what about next week? How many can raise eighteen warm bodies next round, and do you have the trades to achieve that goal. Write a comment on your situation and share the story.

  1. 8 trades left – 4 premos short – going to be tight

16 warm bodies this week – wondering whether to just suck it up – after getting 1700 points from a predicted 1978 in Rd 13, i’m wondering what the f i’m doing anymore

  2. Looking likely to have only thirteen next round, but with only eight trades available, and only Rowe, Heeney and Poulter as options to trade out, it’s looking a bit sad.!!

Although got a creditable 1942 this round, my team still looks like Shize so I’m with you Red5 except I’m six premos short.

  4. Phil Gilbert Allstars R13 score from a beefed up squad will bite him in R14 with only a dozen warm bodies available at best.
Resigned to keeping Heeney & Phillips.
6 trades remaining to upgrade Jordan, Poulter & CCJ. Not bad rookies to be stuck with but not much left on the bench.
Thinking the good run is about to end.
