Chocolates to boiled lolly boys Rowe, Phillips, Flynn, Higgins and Stephenson to name a few, would have upset a few tech leaguers but we still had five players score 2000+ in round 2.
Captains choice, double upgrades and astute looping proved the difference of 230 points between top scorers R & J Bombers and newby Glenboys with 2042 and bottom placed score of 1811.
Seems like plenty of spud sorting before round three. My Mrs pencilled in her trade of Danger to Dunk but somehow forgot to confirm it ending in a down the ladder start for Fixed Interest. Now, having carried danger for for a week, is it worth keeping that trade for two more weeks? What are your thoughts people?
As well who has to go? Injured mid pricers Ziebell and Caldwell, underperforming mid pricers, under performing premos or rookie swaps for cash generation. Give us your thoughts.

I’m currently last 🙁 only my third effort at this format and i’m obviously going a different route than most.
I’m trying to get the cash generation for upgrades, ive held Danger and will hold Neale too, hoping that ill make up ground later in the season.
currently looking at Tyson to Jordan and Higgins to Warner, leaving me a great bank to start upgrades from next week.
I’m with you Mutley – don’t worry too much about score now – people will also concentrate on trying to lead early but you want the cash generation too!
Also painfully agree with you on both of these, Tyson & Higgins will both go out and Caldwell can be a loophole on the bench until I need his cash. Fun few weeks coming up!
Last week Danger was accidentally left in the team, so Tyson was traded to Ziebell and that injury causes concern. Hopefully he plays next week.
Buckley looks to be traded out for Jordon and then Caldwell can be traded to a premo with 230k itb. Nick Hind is another potential option
The Champ took a bit of a hit this round with the coin toss of who to play on field between Campbell and Rowe coming up Rowe- ouch – and no loophole to get to Campbell … that would have pushed the missus right back up.
Trades were two premos in and Dunks paid off … with Mills a so-so … and definitely down on last week. Again, coin toss went to Mills and the other option was Ridley … I hate coin tosses!!
This week I think has to be cash generation …
The single decision of playing Rowe ahead of Campbell is the difference of me being 11th instead of 2nd. SC can be cruel. What a tight start to the comp
Firstly, I think the tech team setup was excellent. There are a ton of tough decisions to make and having a decent set of rookies without 4-6 starting donuts is making things really interesting.
I also am behind by one rookie decision, Hunter playing over Flynn R1. Owch.
Last week I added Ziebell and Warner for Witherden and Higgins. Keeping Danger, since I feel there are so many moves that need to be made I can’t spare one to sideways a premo. Plus he will be the C loophole rounds 3 & 4.
This week is going to be way tough, aside from Caldwell going out because of LTI.
………from memory(?) Mrs Macca went hard early last year on obtaining premos, while i “built the bank”.
When the time came IMO to start spending, it was too much of a gap to cover with the unforeseen “outs” occurring.
Whatever angle you choose to approach from, good luck with your decision.
Think the extra trades helped that strategy last year. Going flat out trading this year might not leave you so flush at the end, and the extra cash and trades could be the go in a longer season.
Will be using my 3rd and 4th trade this week
Caldwell > Jordan
Higgins > Warner
Will increase bank to $548,400 and still have danger on bench.
Will give Buckley 1 more week to see if there’s any cash growth in him, if not I will use the cash to upgrade him to either Macrae/Oliver/Dunkley/Dusty and then sit tight for a few weeks.
