Eleven coaches scored 2200 or more this round, but not league leader Techiewannabes. Everyone in the top six caught up between 35 and 176 points to eat away at the lead, and keep the interest alive for the group at this stage of the season.
Ol’ Mate Liam and 2Ezy makes a welcome return to the podium spots with a top score of 2375 (which by the the way beat my normal team by over 200 points). If anyone answers the poll below with zero boosts it’ll be Amir who has used trades seriously to climb into third spot in the group. His SG Tech Ninjas smashed out 2369, followed by fellow admin Alza and his Assassins on 2320, and fast moving Father Dougal’s All Nuns with 2317 all above 2300.
Ninius, Romo Tech and Bog Eyes Ralph filled the runners up positions with highish 2200s, with Grace ending 76 points closer in second spot. The aforementioned Ninjas in third followed Jacko’s PhantomHood Tech in fourth and Barrie’s Bog Eyes Raplph rounding out the top five.

My team has been hopeless this year making up for the name of ‘Tech Difficulties’. Happy to see I finally had a good round scoring 2200.
I’ve held onto English which has had Hayes scoring, but he should hopefully return, which might be the start of more consistent good scores
Bevo said on Friday night he won’t be back as he’s been too sick. I held him also
I’ve used every single trade possible every week – 14 left and the team isn’t nearly done but I’m top 3 so something is going right. Having Laird as a POD and bringing Sicily in this week proved a success and with 200k+ in the bank, I’ll be targeting English this week if he’s back whilst making sure I can field 18/week come the byes.
Am really enjoying my first year of Tech League, and will definitely sign up going forward! Would recommend this to any/all regular SCers too.
I have 16 trades and 2 boosts left.
Only rookie on field is Nic Martin but I have some ‘premos’ to upgrade. Ryan, Titch, Danger, Cogs and Butters. I’ll probably end up keeping some of them
haven’t enjoyed a clean slate of successful trades. Some have been moderately successful but now being 1000 points in arrears, moderate just don’t cut it.
Traded in English (Ouch), Butters (oooch), Cogs (meh). Rowell (meh meh), Xerri (waste), Sinclair (just in time for his run of 80s).
Only real good trade was Witts in Round 2 and Dunkley and Heeney have been OK.
Have a chopping block of seven (Cogs, Rowell, Danger, McInerney, Ryan, and Rooks MacDonald and Dixon) to try and sort out some respectability moving forward. Should have taken the same advice as I gave my son (Jacko) as he’s doing OK.
Same here SG, first time player and really loving the challenge!
Got the same trades Alza, had a down week this week and questioning all the moves I have made!
Still got 4 rookies on field, wondering do I go big this week and clear out a couple or hold fast and wait till the byes?
I’ve got 17 trades left with 3 boosts. Might be using one of those this week to do a one up, one down and then upgrading Coniglio but no idea how I’ll cope with byes. Should just be 2 rookies left on field after that
Hey all!
Yes, it would appear that I (and by I, I mean the missus – it’s “her team” after all!!) have indeed made a boo-boo and stuffed up …somewhat … though Ninja’s has been making some inspired trades and making it hard to track!!
Firstly, I stuffed up as I had originally traded in Hamilton, not Rioli. My gut said everything about Hamilton was far batter and more “stable” than Rioli … and he was not a small forward! I then got a bit jittery 10 mins before the bounce thinking that more than 50,000 had traded in Rioli and I must be missing something … so I asked for thoughts and thumbs on the thread … and swapped to Rioli at last second … duh … cost me dollars and cash gen now … and too late for Hamilton I think … oh – and stupidly in the rush Rioli ended up on field instead of with the E!! Ouch …
As for my side … Gawn let me down badly … I thought I was well positioned with him … but he’s getting rested and not playing hard it seems against the “lesser” sides … not good … and having Witts would be far better it seems (he’s in my OA side and not Gawn) … that cost me dollars when I made that call.
I had to make a tough call between Sicily or Tracc as my trade in … and went Tracc as playing against the woeful Eagles … they scored about the same … but Sicily scored too well it seems and hard to get him now … hmmmm
OK … from here … I’m not sure what my next moves will be … too many good sides and coaches are chasing me hard it seems … and can’t cover all the permutations!! As with this entire SC caper … it will all come down to luck! PLayers going well or bad … Gawn getting spells … injuries … COVID …. more and more, after playing this for more than 10 years and on this site … it’s all about luck!
Good luck all!!
