Tech Leagues Trade Talk

Written by JimmyDee on June 15 2020

Well folks, a bit of a come down from last week for most of us.
Gotta say my five trades netted 132 points which is a good thing they did as
I still only managed a paltry 1917. I took the longer term approach for a list build to create cash for future upgrades. I can only hope that dream might still come true in the future.

Those who went for the big upgrades managed to grab an extra few hundred points to give them a large(ish) break after only two rounds. LostLands@SCT sits at the top after round 2 with last year’s winner, Tech Difficulties in striking distance just inside the top twenty.

Tell us your plans, are you going cash generation for later or grabbing points while they are available?

  1. Can say I had a poor week, setting me back slightly. The coaches who brought in Rowell made a great decision and something that i am regretting not doing as he is going to act like Sam Walsh from last year.
Doedee hurt me, after bringing him in expecting a lot more. Hoping it is just a 1 off and not having to trade him back out.
I have 380k itb so i wonder whether to back in Gawn over Jacobs or upgrade a rookie like Gould to a 500k Premo.
A non scoring rookie will make way this week for another rookie, giving team selections

  2. ATM thinking (?) of Tuohy and Daniel for SPS and Ridley and will have 335k itb.
ATM thinking (??) never ever, have Viney as Capt. again!!!!, ever!!!!….. and that means never ever, ever, again, ever!!!!….. just to be sure about it.

    1. I brought Viney in for the cash grab but never ever expected him to be captaincy material. That said, Grundy and Fyfe are the only real options for that role at this stage. Going to need to change that soon I reckon.

  3. Seemingly have a dilemma having to choose between Sturt (if selected), for the cash grab, or Darcy Cameron with half the breakeven but valuable DPP ruck coverage, and still with price rises. What do you reckon guys?
    TU : Cameron
    TD : Sturt
