      1. It’s a pain….so much cash to be had if he plays a game or two. Can’t use him as a loop if he plays early.
        Now for kosi.

        10

        0
        1. Pretty sure Kosi will be back in given the Lewis suspension, one more week, a small price rise, and then to L Jones given he is named for a 3rd match.

          25

          1
      2. Hmmm…probably seals the Daniel trade for me. Can’t wait on Kosi to be named as Dogs will play before the Hawks team is confirmed.
        FUBR.

  3. Ok,……Hunter is named in case Marshall is dodgy,..IMO…Why isn’t Highmore named in case Carlisle is/becomes/gets dodgy?……Isn’t that what emergencies are named for?……1 for each role of importance…..Who’s going to be the “all rounder” sub?? Why don’t we get someone in the know to ask why no Highmore anywhere anymore….he did play well didn’t he?…….Could there be other issues…….????

    6

    1
    1. I reckon Ratten and Cameron have teams in SC so their screwing with everyone who has Highmore and Flynn!

      9

      0
  4. Decided to pass on Waterman, I have a feeling he’s due for a bad one. Have to wait for Bulldogs team selection as I’m wary either one of McNeil or Scott will be getting managed, will be trading one of them out, no use doing before I know who’s in or out. Ahhh I long for the days when you could set and forget after Thursday teams selections!!

    19

  5. Tu; Daniel > Steele (via dpp)
(Top 6 mid locker and loaded, defiantly want to pick him up at some point!)

    Tu; Daniel > Bowes
(Slight risk, however this option saves me 150k to upgrade further next week)

    Can’t decide, please thoughts appreciated!!

    1. Olie,

SCT is about Winning the finals.IMO don’t risk big buys til after the byes, so TD.
If it was SCTTL, where it’s all about points, I would suggest TU.

ie. in my SCTTL ATM I went May > Ridley, in SCT, Daniel > Chapman

      Hope that helps Cheers

  6. Any word on Flynn?

Somebody mentioned GWS might run Mummy again since he played so well last weekend.

    6

    3
    1. Matthew Flynn – “Mummy is not the player he was. We really want to develop Flynn & Briggs. We’ll see how (Mumford) pulls up. He can’t go back-to-back-to-back. Flynny has had a rest. We’ll make that decision tomorrow.” Leon Cameron

    1. Hi Kick It To Rory,
I will be monitoring the Coaches Box and any comment that is inaccurate, inappropriate or just inane will be promptly deleted.

btw. Any information I post is from a verifiable source ( club, coach, club official etc.) as I do not deal in rumours.
I hope everyone finds it helpful.
All the best and good luck with your teams.

        1. Totally agree KITR

Chaos does an amazing job, and is a huge reason I visit this site. Alway accurate and so fast, I still think he works at the AFL HQ 😉

          Thanks you so much CT

Just 20 minutes until teams drop .

    1. I was hearing there could be a big out for Saints!!
      We will have to see?
Haha. That is why I don’t post rumours!

      6

      1. Rowan Marshall is out for the Saints!!. There you go, some rumours are true but not often enough to be relied upon.

        4

    1. Actually when I come to think of it, Cox tore West Coast a new one in the final last year, Interesting that he’d be dropped for it.

      2

  8. So…..(tongue in cheek), if Highmore had been named an emergency, would Carlisle have been a late out too???…..

  9. Just read that Lloyd Meek will be playing for Peel this weekend. For those of you relying on a Flynn/Meek combo at R2/R3 (including me!), it’s time to jump off

    9

  10. Lachie Young for the Roos. Dropped to the medical sub last week but came on early and seemed to play alright. With McDonald out injured does he come back into the 22 this week?

  11. Port Adelaide: Round 5 team changes,
IN Miles Bergman, Boyd Woodcock & Todd Marshall.
OUT Xavier Duursma, Zak Butters & Peter Ladhams

    1. Probably – but why on earth would you make that trade now given you could just wait til the teams are named tonight?

      12

      0
    2. Red5, Port Adelaide changes for this round was posted just above your question.

As BlueBalls stated it is recommended that you trade after team announcement are made as trades can not be reversed once the round has started. In the future you may find yourself in a precarious position.

      More importantly :
What is the source of Parks hamstring injury??

          1. Buntine was the other emergency, that was left off team sheet. I have corrected it in the teams.

My wild guess would be Tanner Bruhn but it is GWS? So who would know.

  13. Is it worth trading out Fullerton for Waterman for a gain of $62,400 ITB, or is Treacy a better option next week?

    10

  14. If L.Young (North) doesn’t play I cop a donut

So Dow to Jones (Currently on 25 trades)

    T/U Yes get cover

  15. Proper ruck carnage.

I am running with Flynn at R2, Meek at R3 and Fullarton in the forwards bench and all 3 don’t play this week!

Lesson to all of us who didn’t set and forget Grawndy I guess.

Don’t have a whole heap of spare cash either, any suggestions to avoid a donut?

      1. Def: Ridley, Laird, Docherty, Jiath, Chapman, L Jones (C Daniel, Highmore)

Mid: Neale, Macrae, Oliver, Merrett, Walsh, Gulden, Powell, Jordon (Brockman, Scott, Lazzaro)

Fwd: Dunkley, Martin, Ziebell, Warner, Daniher, Campbell (Rowe, Fullarton)

Made 1 trade already this week, traded out Sharp for L Jones to plug a donut in defence.

Donuts everywhere, I feel like Homer Simpson this week!

    1. Hickey is coming in for mine. Luckily I had Butters who was looking good for 200 who is now a must trade, right?

    1. If Lobb plays, as he ticked all the boxes at training it looks highly likely, then Meek would make way for him.
The coach has stated that Lobb is a very important player for them as he has the versatility of playing ruck/forward. Meek doesn’t has that capability at this stage of his career.
The only way Meek would play again would be an injury to either Lobb or Darcy.
Treacy also puts pressure on Meek with his goal kicking ability but he is a raw talent and needs experience.

      1. Gday chaos theory is ziebell a must have or get bergs or waters thx for ur time and effort as ur info is great.

        1. Hi Essay mate, and thank you.
I was lucky enough to start with Ziebell ave 111.8. At his price now you would be getting him as a keeper. The new role he has been supercoach friendly and could very well be that cheapish keeper. I am starting to believe that is possible.
Bergman is talented but is in a very strong team to get a game. He should generate cash but every week would nervously watching selections. I started with him but if I didnt own him I would not being picking him up now.
Now Waterman, this what I wrote last week.
          Alec Waterman ( $102k FWD)
Ben Rutten: “Waterman kicked a couple of goals. He’s really important for us in front of goal.”
          Rd 3 81, Rd 4 56, BE -77.
          Projected Score 60 ( Approximate)
          Rd5: $102k->$163k( $60k)
          Rd6: $163k->$198k( $35k)
          Rd7: $198k->$226k( $28k)
          Rd8: $226k->$246k( $20k).
You have to decide if you want to generate cash or go with points that Ziebell has consistently provided. Ziebell is expected have a significant rise again ( -28)this so it would virtually your last chance to get him.
Good luck with whatever you decide.

  16. I read earlier in the week finlayson was injured, right? He’s been named. Hoping he pulls out and Flynn goes in.

    1. Not how that’ll work.

Clearly they think Mumford can do two in a row, allowing Flynn to nurse that ankle for another week and come back fully fit.

  17. So here’s how a trade works in 2021. Personal experience this week.

Sunday suss out breakevens and who you want to trade. Probably in deep shit and looking like I’m facing 9 donuts, even if I play 20 ppg rookies.

    Wait for MRO.

MRO offers come out. Wait for clubs to accept.
If clubs dispute. Wait for Tribunal.

    Outcomes delayed if tribunal..

Now we’re waiting for Wed teams. Anyone we’re trading out for Thursday night games? Nope. Lucky you, because your trade in target probably plays Sunday.

Work out captaincy/loophole availability. Lucky we have LOTS of loopholes, right?

Ok, Thursday more interested in Friday teams than match. Ooh possible future rookies I spent all that time researching for them to play VFL.

Late changes? Goddamn your black soul/WTF is wrong with Coach XXX? Still no Highmore?

Mmmm. Friday. Must trade out players in FWD and DEF. Might not have rucks on Saturday.

    Surely they won’t?

    Yep, more donuts.

Ok. Absolute certainty of donuts here. Must trade this guy out for a guy who might play on Sunday.

Hang on if I move Dunkley via DPP with Campbell then I can…. no wait, we still won’t know Sunday teams on Saturday before that game starts. Then I can’t bring Waterman into forwards.

Alright. I won’t trade Fullarton yet I will bench him via dpp FWD by selling Butters, then bring in Hickey because neither Fullarton or Flynn is named. Definite donut without trade, so must be done.

But I might still have a donut forward or back . Only at best 6 players in either spot, if every remaining rookie I have is named. Ha!

If Kosi doesn’t play, I can move Clark in to get Waterman, Essendon don’t start to play until after Sunday teams named.

Maybe I should just trade Daniel he’s not looking top 8. But I’m already down so many trades. Gonna have to wear him and hope.

But Kosi is getting near donut scores anyway.

Ok, If I move Dunks back to mid, and swap Campbell with Brockman, run Campbell as E I can take his score if it is good, via Sharp, and if it is bad I can take Jordan.

If Kosi gets dropped I can still move Brockman back to midfield and Clark to defence to replace Kosi with Waterman because they’re all Sunday. Can’t do that with Campbell or Dunkley in Forwards.

And if Rowe or Brockman get dropped I can still trade out Fullarton to Waterman, because late game Saturday night.

My god, we need a PhD in Supercoach.

    1. Maybe the AFL and it’s (gambling?) associates, don’t want/like it when we show intelligence and research capabilities, – might be worried how it’ll effect its income assets.

Just want to maintain luck as its primary weapon ……..IMPO of course.

    1. Dow is likely to be medical sub as the other emergencies ( Setterfield , Owies, Cunningham) are all listed to play VFL on Saturday?

  19. GWS : Flynn, Shipley and Bruhn are all playing VFL.
Buntine is not playing VFL but is emergency for Rd 5 so looks the medical sub.

Thanks to Chillo for pointing out error in previous post. I deleted it to prevent any confusion. Sorry guys.

  21. NO CLARKE!!! Not what my defence needed this week, with Daniel & Highmore on the bench.

TU = see ya later Clarke. Can’t carry you also.
TD = give up on this week, take the zero and hope he makes it back next week.

  22. effing coach Scott … plays a rebounding greyhound halfback in the forward line last week, then blames him and drops him this week

    #noidea.

Clark seriously needs to look for another club where he will be rewarded and allowed to play to his strengths …

  23. Bloody lucky I saved all my trades until Sunday teams were named.

Have traded Clark for Jones and Meek for Treacy – avoids the dreaded donut and gives me a tonne of cash for the future.

My plans during the week DID NOT include trading either Clark or Meek! What a crazy couple of weeks and it’s only round 5 ffs

    1. Literally just came here to write the same thing! Of course you’re all over it. Could be a potential late out if there’s two players not playing VFL.
