Pfft… thought someone had a crystal ball. Was going to get in early with all the juice and gossip and get ahead of the pack.
PLEASE Supercoach Gods – no more “managing” of our premiums…..
Tom Hutchesson GWS M/F $117,300 to debut.
Phil Davis OUT
Apparently he goes ok
Not sure about his JS
Another Glenelg junior product
you’ve done very well to find that CT! Nothing up on the teams site on AFL site???
Wicks being named after the bye is positive. Strong chance he makes his way into my team tomorrow for someone like Pickett
Hey, where’d my comment go???
I don’t know. Someone must have cleaned up the thread and removed in and outs and as your comment was attached it went too?
Thanks for comment Macca.
tell me legend, where did you find the teams – still not showing on the official site??? … I’m dead set sure you have a back door access now somehow!!
Brilliant!!
Hey Macca, that was me. We just clean up the comments section of any official team announcements so the comments thread is cleaner. Ad your comment was attached, it gets removed too.
Cheers mate – I figured it was that!
Max Gawn will have a fitness test tomorrow after sitting most of today’s session in the stand.
Fwd line bound
Not gna get his 230 BE from there
Port Adelaide Changes – Mayes , Motlop In with Sutcliffe and Lienert out via Ken Hinkley..
Doedee out for the rest of the season
Adelaide – Tom Lynch 3 weeks
Port Adelaide : Ryan Burton quad 1 – 2 weeks
Adelaide : Rory Sloane cleared by specialist to play rd 12
West Coast :
Jeremy McGovern to play rd 12
Nicholas Reid fwd $102,400 to debut rd 12. Mature age.
Fremantle :
Liam Henry MF $171,300 strongly suggested to debut.
Michael Walters to play rd 12
Connor Blakely cleared on injury and is now available rd 12
Melbourne – With Max Gawn under a cloud, Luke Jackson injured. Braydon Preuss may play first game since rd 23 last year.
Nooo…. Reid is my c loop.
Anyone hear about Bailey Smith sent in for Scans?
Seems to have come from Ten News, from what I can gather. It doesn’t look like anyone knows much more about it, but it’s safe to say that it happened.
Oh crap will have a doughnut if he isn’t a confirmed out by tomorrow as i got Close in my midfield
Yeah I saw the footage of him leaving after scans with Dogs remaining tight-lipped except for they remain hopeful that Smith will get up. The good news is he was not in a moonboot and did not have a sling on.
I hope he plays, if not I will also be facing a donut.
In that scenario I plan to trade Smith to Petracca instead of my original plan to upgrade Pickett to T. Mitchell.
Mark Stevens has just confirmed Bailey Smith will play.
THE AFL’s second wave for 2020 season will see matches played on 17 of 18 days, beginning Thursday, August 27.
Ten teams will have byes in the rounds 14 to 17 block.
There will be a two-day break between the completion of round 13 and the start of round 14.
Round 18 will also be released on Friday, but it will be deemed a “floating fixture”, with times of games not to be determined until a later date in order to maximise intrigue leading into the finals.
Fascinating to see when they schedule dons/dees after their rd 14 match. Surely if they play in two separate rounds, their scores will count in both rounds. Only fair as they didn’t count in r3.
Byes for SC finals. Absolute nightmare.
Is there a case now to not bother trying to go full Premo, but just get a strong core of ~20 premos, with as many of those having already had their bye as you can manage?
Ie. Do I upgrade Aarts next week for my 22nd Premo, or do I leave him and upgrade Bont to Oliver and Smith to Gaff given I only need 18 scorers in the finals.
The teams for Geelong Cats v Port Adelaide will be announced on Thursday evening.
The teams for North Melbourne v Brisbane Lions, Melbourne v Collingwood and Fremantle v Carlton will be announced on Friday evening.
The teams for Western Bulldogs v Adelaide Crows, St Kilda v Essendon and West Coast Eagles v Hawthorn will be announced on Saturday evening.
The teams for Richmond v Gold Coast Suns will be announced on Sunday evening.
Fascinating to see when they schedule dons/dees after their rd 14 match. Looks like the disaster of r3 can’t be recovered at all in any way.
Out of curiosity how has everyone been handling the teams being announced each night?
Tu – I use all my trades before the first bounce and hope for minimal carnage.
Td – I set up my team before the first bounce, but make my trades throughout the week when certain teams are released.
I think this week is a different story though as a lot of trades will centre around tonight’s game…
Wicks
Haynes
Lloyd
Williams
Potentially all players that coaches may be looking at after their bye.
This round has the smell of carnage to it, that’s for sure.
Gut feel says I will wear a donut or 2 this round
This is crucial, try and wait for as long as possible with a tentative plan before making trades.
Perfect example would be waiting till the last second to see if Cameron was named, decided not to trade and he pumped out a ton (and made about $50k).
Bad example would be trading in Hosie for Pickett and he ended up getting dropped!
My excuse is that the most viable trades have consisted of both early and late games.
So it was either do it or don’t.
#viable ~ both sensible and ideal = MYTH
I have been handling it poorly. Very poorly. 😉
Is there absolutely any recent news regarding Gawn?
I haven’t heard anything. Anybody else?
Yeah dont want to raise any alarm bells, just need to know if hes playing this week or not. might have to pull the trigger early on trades
BEN Cunnington out for season
Gas there ever been a more anticipated teams announcement than tonight ?
Confirmed Max Gawn is out.
Is he a must trade then right?
Very tricky if you’re already waiting a week, I traded Gawn last week as much because of cash gen issues than anything else, it might come down to the 100-200K you’ll make in a downgrade of Max & what you do with it as to whether its worth it or not.
now im hoping Draper is in

Round 15
Geelong, Gold Coast, North Melbourne, Port Adelaide, St Kilda and Western Bulldogs
Round 16
Richmond and Collingwood
Holy hell…remaining fixture has dropped, and the byes are going to RUIN some teams in SC finals.
R14 – Adelaide, Brisbane
R15 – Geelong, GC, NM, PA, StK, WB
R16 – Collingwood, Richmond
First week of finals is gonna be chaos
Round 15 is absolute carnage, hold onto your trades people
Odds of extra trades being doled out?
Hearing because the precedent has been set with 3 trades in other bye Rounds that the same will happen with 3 trades on offer in the 3 remaining bye Rounds.
Dont talk extra trades to a holder of many dons/dees players !!
Will hold off on Macrae till r16 !!
So do we know what rounds are SC Finals?
Is it from r14 or from r15?
you would think 15 to 18 …. 18 as the GF in leagues with no byes …
Josh Honey $124,900 Mid/Fwd to debut for the Blues.
Surely if you haven’t upgraded to any premiums last night (or hopefully those that have had byes) then the ploy now is to only downgrade to rookies on the bubble (or hopeful with JS) and hopefully those that may have had byes already??
With uncertain any additional trades, they key has to now be holding trades until you can guarantee a premo is in and with no more byes (particularly if chasing OA) – as points are key …
Interesting … as if it wasn’t already ‘interesting’ enough as it is …
Yeah mate…..I wanna go Mahoney to Merrett, but Mahoney plays b4 dons team is announced….hate merrett to be rested.

Devon Smith is managed dammit but hope he comes back with the scores of 100 now
With Dev Smith being managed (and also shizen this year), I’m tempted to trade him to Jack Riewoldt. Jack plays every game, and has a tendency to go huge later in seasons.
TU: big brain move, go for it
TD: grasping at straws, hold Dev
Thought B Smith was doubtful and traded him .
Hope Aarts plays now and scores best score for season
Not a very good time for Cavarra to get his second game.
He was going to be my loophole to take Neale’s score.
The C will now remain on Maccrae so hope he goes extra big
Elijah Taylor (Sydney) will be suspended for the rest of the season due to breach covid 19 protocols.
Richmond : Bachar Houli will not return rd 12.

“What was a corky – and we managed him in the back half of that scrimmage – is now a serious issue, which we’re hoping he’s OK. He might be out for most of the season.”
Jack Redden (adductor) will be assessed this week but Liam Duggan (hamstring) and Mark Hutchings (toe) could return for Round 13.
As a reminder there will be no teams announced tonight.
We resume a normal week of football this week!!!
Games from Friday to Monday. Teams back to traditional Thursday night release.
I don’t know about you but I am going to love this respite.
Don’t get me wrong, I have been loving all the footy especially being in lock down…but it causes havoc with supercoach. Making hasty decisions on the fly without knowing who is playing the rest of the round.
A big shout to all the guys. You have been incredible with the short turnarounds. Much appreciated. Well done.
