Picked up Colhesy last week. Was thinking about doubling down for Comben this week but worried about the high price and injury history. Painting the fence instead and trading out Windsor & McKercher and picking up Graham & Flanders.

Hi GB – in what regards? Use a boost to go with the TU option? I traded in Clohesy last week, will be trading in Graham this week. Could use a boost to get Comben but it actually costs me money as other trade out options of Sexton & Clark, are worth less. Open to suggestions??
Roberts, Reid and Sharp against WC
Use Wilson as your emergency as he plays on Thursday, as you can always use his points (given that you have someone on their bye) if he scores well
Going Dawson to touk, then have mckercher to someone 590k and under. So Martin, walsh are kinda only looks. I’m a blues supporter so biased towards Walsh and also playing for league which I’ve had a rough start so I wanna get the premos in fast so I make finals
Absolutely. Comben not a must get at his elevated price. Get Nuyon or McAuliffe even if you don’t need an extra score this week. Better ways to make 150k imo than paying up for elevated rookies during upgrade season..
I know it is hard without see the rest of the team but does this seem a reasonable use of a boost?
Out: B. Howes, C. McKercher and C. Windsor
In: H.Young, W. Graham and B. Nyuon
Doing McKercher -> Graham leaves me with $477k in the bank , which ideally I should be using this week for an upgrade trade
The main problem in my team is I don’t have Gawn. Currently have English and Jackson in the rucks. I’m thinking Jackson still might be fine as a season keeper in the FWD line but if he has a poor game this week again it makes an easy enough swap to Gawn next week. Otherwise if I keep Jackson I would have to get to Gawn from rookies, easily done if I don’t upgrade this week, but could be very tricky if I do, then risking his price continuing to increase on me and falling further behind
TU: Upgrade Coffield or J Clark this week to a premium Mid/Def, risking no Gawn next week
TD: Wait till next week to upgrade to ensure I can get Gawn in
Is it crazy given we have more trades this year to grab Comben for 2 weeks and hopefully make 100K even though it’s an extra trade to do this? I would only be doing this as a stop-gap to make more cash given the other rookies are either still going up or haven’t made enough to fund anything decent.
TU : 3 trades – Dawson, McKerchen & Clark to Steele, Graham & Comben
TD: 2 trades – Dawson & McKerchen to Steele & Graham
Unsure if I want to pay $100k extra for Comben. Traded in Clohesy last week and nobody else on the bubble this week. Leaning towards the 2 trades only, and waiting on Biggie, McAuliffe or Garcia next week. But the DPP of Comben becoming FWD/DEF could be worth it? Have only used the one boost so far.
Just out of curiously, I haven’t been playing SuperCoach from its original year but have we ever seen a rookie with a -174 break even like Sam Clohesy? That’s just freaking insane!
He has had one bad game and all of a sudden some coaches are driven into a panic? Literally had the same amount of ruck time (majority) as he has done so in the past. Darcy seems to be playing as the second ruck once English rests forward or goes for a spell, which every side has. I am still confident English and Gawn are clear r1 and r2, just not sure on what order..
It wasn’t just a bad game. It looked like he didn’t even try. Either totally disinterested or low on confidence, not sure yet. Concerning if the former
Hi Yazz, Crouch has done his job. He has provided points and cash. And you know he won’t be top 8 or DPP. The Croms are also talking about injecting pace in the guts to turn their form around, meaning Rankine and Soligo will get some CBs.
Dawson, where to start?? But at least you know that if he turns his form around he could be top 8-10. Let’s see what the community thinks
Clohesy has to come in this week obviously
Howes has a slightly worse break even but seems to have more potential to score than Draper but on the other hand Draper has more to make will just be a slow burn unless he has 1 good score,
Who goes first?
Will have 22 this week regardless.
Mckercher – Graham
Clark – Yeo?
At 530k and with a BE of 14 I essentially see him at his starting price (if that makes sense).
If he gets injured within the next two rounds, I’d live with that; extra trades and Walsh will be an easy swap.
If he gets injured after two rounds, that’s just about a straight swap to say an English or a Trac. If he remains healthy I see him as a top 6 DEF. Not fussed on burning a trade if something does happen to him due to the extra trades.
Do you not have more important issues elsewhere ??? Has the reason for starting Jackson gone ? Do you have any other ruck cover ??
I asked myself all this and am keeping him. Still can be top 6 forward after Flanders/Heeney. I’m aiming for Heeney for the run home after his early r12 bye.
I considered trading Jackson until I scoured the forwards list. Apart from Heeney and Flanders there’s not much to choose from so despite a high b/e and more fwd time he still might be a keeper
Leaning towards McKercher, J. Clark, and Dawson to Graham, Steele, and Comben (via DDP) + $157,100 ITB for next week. But I do still have Z.Reid/Coffield on my def bench which I think is a problem though
Any feedback or advice is much appreciated!
is comben worth spending the extra 100k for
instead i could bank the 100k and use it next week to straight swap sanders to either walsh or stewart
and i could even get someone like merret by trading carrol next week.
tu-get comben
td-get nyuon
I too struggled over this but ended up paying the extra $ for Comben.
The way I see it is that the extra $100k is buying you JS, injury risk aside. Plus if Comben does continue to ave 80’ish he could run as F6 for as long as needed.
100% a waste. English is still at minimum going to be a top 3 ruck. Don’t get sucked in by last weeks score. It’s still Tim English at the end of the day.
Even Gary Ablett had poor games. Look at the 4 scores and before last week and that says it all..
If you held through the bye then you hold him now. Eventually will need to get him to one of the top ruck men but that can wait for now if you held him through last week.
I have used one boost so far. Tossing up this week between the following :
TU – 2 trades : McKerchan & Cadman OUT for T Miller & W Graham IN
TD – 3 trades (so I can afford Steele) : McKerchan, Cadman and one of Sexton or Clark OUT, for Steele, W Graham and one of Garcia/Nyuon IN
Have gone McKercher to Graham and have $225k in the bank. Thinking of getting rid of Crouch as he won’t be in top mids and TOG is low to either Young or Houston via DPP. Young would leave me with another to hopefully upgrade Williams to Stewart next week.
TU – Crouch to Young leaves 210k ITB
TD – Crouch to Houston leave $180k ITB
Side note – do I get Ryan even though he’s top dollar.
T/U: Carrol to Comden $240K ITB 2 Boosts Remaining
T/D: Hold off save trade for next week, Carroll & Sanders out for rookie downgrade & Premo $224K ITB 3 Boosts (31 Trades) Remaining
Worth trading Massimo to Sheezel this week? Thinking the Hawks might hammer Sheez this week, while Massimo’s still got some money to make and might go alright v Norf.
TU – Do it
TD – Wait a week
TU: Mckercher, Clarke > Graham, Comben
TD: Mckercher, Clarke > Graham, Nyuon

Last boost used!!! YOLO
McKerch, Fisher, Jordon
for
Graham, Comben, Dunkley
My Team as of this round looks pretty sweet
Sheez, NWM, Young, ZWill, Ambro, Clothes / Howes, Reid
Rowell, Dunkley, Martin, Hewett, Bonner, Roberts, Reid, Graham / Sharp, Sanders, Libba
Gawn, Grundy / Livingstone
Heeney, Flanders, McKay, Rankine, Powell, Comben / Lohman, Darcy
9 upgrades left, 25 trades left, 145k ITB
Next week – Possibly
Howes, Zwill > Rook , Gulden type mid – Should be bottomed out at around 575k.
TU – Not bad Idea but risky as need rooks to come through
TD – You’re more cooked now than before 😛

Running some great leagues but those trades and that team is a no.
You need proper MID premos. Dunkley has only gone 101, 113, 96, 122, 122. Doesnt matter that he’ll eat Geelong this week, won’t be Top 8.
Rankine and McKay are a gross misallocation of funds and ‘keepers’ but I suppose you keep them for now.
Two downgrades and proper Top 8 MID this week and I’d actually forgo Comben for you. Build a big bank.
Targets: Daicos, Serong, Racca, Green, Bont.
Thanks for the advice mate. Thinking Butters

Hi everyone – anyones guess but looking for opinions on what two rookies to field this week from Roberts, Reid, Sharp, Wilson and Graham?
Roberts and Reid
Roberts, Reid and Sharp against WC
Use Wilson as your emergency as he plays on Thursday, as you can always use his points (given that you have someone on their bye) if he scores well
Who To Field will be able Thursday but Roberts and Reid.
TU: Serong

Serong, just because he gets West Coast and Richmond in the next month.
My thoughts too GD
Hey guys!

Thanks!

Went early on Clohesy
This Week:
Colby > Grahm
Carroll > Nyuon
Cadman > Flanders
Next Week:
Massimo > McAuliffe (Swing N.Martin back)
Sanders > Premo mid (either Bont or Walsh)
TU – Martin
TD – Walsh
Very different players, Martin will most likely get moved to def. But if you could only pick one to trade in who would it be?
Controversial but neither?
Walsh absolutely on I’d wait on just due to the nature of his injury – see Abs’ FP this morning.
And then Martin I do rate but just think there are surely some heavier hitters you can bring in?
Looks like you’re in the market for a MID. So can you stretch to say Rowell? Do you already have Steele?
Completely agree, Martin ‘might’ come into my team as a D7/8 once premo’s are sorted and rookies have matured…
Going Dawson to touk, then have mckercher to someone 590k and under. So Martin, walsh are kinda only looks. I’m a blues supporter so biased towards Walsh and also playing for league which I’ve had a rough start so I wanna get the premos in fast so I make finals
TU – H.Young
TD – N.Daicos
Young BE 80
Daicos BE 108
You’ll want both, do Young this week. Also has Eagles.
Id be going Daicos. Going to be a top 2-3 defender. Still not convinced young is going to be in the top 6-8. Diacos you know what you’re getting.
Worth going early on Nguyon over Comben this week if it allows me to get Merrett next week with 2 trades (1 up 1 down).
If i went Comben id be looking for an upgrade next week in 580k range like Stewart unless i boosted (have 3 left)
Nyuon
I’m going a similar route this week (comment below).
Happy to smash the boost to mitigate leaking cash, despite a disappointing lack of options.
*Second Boost*
McKercher > Steele
Clark > McAuliffe (not big on this but already have Graham)
Lazarro > Nyoun
*Next week*
Deal with Sanders, Campbell, Draper
Assuming crouch is suspended,
not wanting to hold him with Adelaide midfield mix changing impacting him output I am looking to trade him
TU – H.Young
TD – E. Yeo
Comment – tell me I am dreaming or suggest someone else in the similar price bracket I haven’t considered.
Crows accepted Crouch suspension Monday
Which is the priority?
TU: Jackson > Marshall
TD: Clark > Comben
Still torn on what to do with Dawson.. bringing in Heeney regardless.
TU: Dawson, Mckercher, Clark -> Heeney, Graham, Comben
Or I Keep Dawson
TD: McKercher, Sanders, Uwland -> Heeney, Graham, Nyoun
Any love for Zorko in his new role?
$528K BE 88. M/F Could he finish Top 6 FWD?
Wouldn’t even consider him if he was still playing mid.
McKenna is back this week and interested to see how this affects Zorks role. Otherwise definitely see him as a Top 6 FWD.
TD: Crazy idea!

TU: McKercher, Cadman, Sanders to W. Graham, Nyuon, Houston
TD: McKercher to W. Graham
Have 31 trades left prior to making any trades this round with my team looking like;
Sheezel, Stewart, Daicos, Massimo, Tom Brown, Clohesy (Pink, Z. Reid)
Bont, Butters, Tom Greene, Steele, Petracca, Touk, M. Roberts, J. Sharp (McKercher, Sanders, Clark)
Gawn, Grundy (Livingstone)
Heeney, Flanders, Fyfe, H. Reid, Cadman, S. Darcy (S. Campbell, D. Wilson)
(Unfortunately 2k off bringing in Serong in the first trade)
First trade leaves me with about 16k
Second trade leaves me with $172k
T/U- Drury
T/D- Nyuon
Just out of curiously, I haven’t been playing SuperCoach from its original year but have we ever seen a rookie with a -174 break even like Sam Clohesy? That’s just freaking insane!
Michael Barlow would be the closest.
Could this week be the single biggest price rise ever for a player?
TU: Nyuon
TD: Garcia
Garcia is likely to be a sub. Saints have only made one change to the team
Dawson will miss at least 2 weeks, maybe 3, so that does give Nyuon a few weeks
TU- Sanders, McKercher & J.Clark for Nyuon, W.Graham & Sam Walsh
TD- McKercher/J.Clark & Sexton for W.Graham & Comben
Havent used any boosts yet.
Rory Laird. Is he about to do a Dawson on us?
McKercher > Graham is locked.

Hugo Garcia worth an early trade in look? 43 points in a bit over a quarter last week as the sub. Named on interchange.

T:D: Nope, hang in there.
Thanks everyone!
Thanks Wighty,
Good points you raised there- no other issues elsewhere as such, just chasing points really.
Probably the only lingering concern would be what happens when Darcy comes back.
Jackson also has WC this week, and he may as well hit that BE 😉
I considered trading Jackson until I scoured the forwards list. Apart from Heeney and Flanders there’s not much to choose from so despite a high b/e and more fwd time he still might be a keeper
Is it worth using a second trade this week to bring in Flanders for Jackson?
T/U – YES
T/D – NO
Trades last week were (Jordon & Howes > Clohesy & Flanders)
Current team
DEF: Sheezel, Houston, Daicos, NWM, D’Ambrossio, Clohesy (Reid, Coffield)

RUC: Gawn, Grundy (Livingstone)
FWDS; Flanders, T.Powell, Reid, Dempsey, S.Darcy, Windsor (Wilson, T.Berry)
$142,700 ITB, 32 trades left, 4 boosts.
Leaning towards McKercher, J. Clark, and Dawson to Graham, Steele, and Comben (via DDP) + $157,100 ITB for next week. But I do still have Z.Reid/Coffield on my def bench which I think is a problem though

Could also consider Hugo Garcia.
Is trading T.English for I.Heeney this week a dumb move?
T/U Yes
T/D Waste of a trade
100% a waste. English is still at minimum going to be a top 3 ruck. Don’t get sucked in by last weeks score. It’s still Tim English at the end of the day.
Even Gary Ablett had poor games. Look at the 4 scores and before last week and that says it all..
is grundy a hold
If you held through the bye then you hold him now. Eventually will need to get him to one of the top ruck men but that can wait for now if you held him through last week.
