Running some great leagues but those trades and that team is a no.
You need proper MID premos. Dunkley has only gone 101, 113, 96, 122, 122. Doesnt matter that he’ll eat Geelong this week, won’t be Top 8.
Rankine and McKay are a gross misallocation of funds and ‘keepers’ but I suppose you keep them for now.
Two downgrades and proper Top 8 MID this week and I’d actually forgo Comben for you. Build a big bank.

Going Dawson to touk, then have mckercher to someone 590k and under. So Martin, walsh are kinda only looks. I’m a blues supporter so biased towards Walsh and also playing for league which I’ve had a rough start so I wanna get the premos in fast so I make finals

Worth going early on Nguyon over Comben this week if it allows me to get Merrett next week with 2 trades (1 up 1 down).
If i went Comben id be looking for an upgrade next week in 580k range like Stewart unless i boosted (have 3 left)
Absolutely. Comben not a must get at his elevated price. Get Nuyon or McAuliffe even if you don’t need an extra score this week. Better ways to make 150k imo than paying up for elevated rookies during upgrade season..
I know it is hard without see the rest of the team but does this seem a reasonable use of a boost?

McKenna is back this week and interested to see how this affects Zorks role. Otherwise definitely see him as a Top 6 FWD.
Doing McKercher -> Graham leaves me with $477k in the bank , which ideally I should be using this week for an upgrade trade
The main problem in my team is I don’t have Gawn. Currently have English and Jackson in the rucks. I’m thinking Jackson still might be fine as a season keeper in the FWD line but if he has a poor game this week again it makes an easy enough swap to Gawn next week. Otherwise if I keep Jackson I would have to get to Gawn from rookies, easily done if I don’t upgrade this week, but could be very tricky if I do, then risking his price continuing to increase on me and falling further behind

Is it crazy given we have more trades this year to grab Comben for 2 weeks and hopefully make 100K even though it’s an extra trade to do this? I would only be doing this as a stop-gap to make more cash given the other rookies are either still going up or haven’t made enough to fund anything decent.

Why are some people panicking over English?
He has had one bad game and all of a sudden some coaches are driven into a panic? Literally had the same amount of ruck time (majority) as he has done so in the past. Darcy seems to be playing as the second ruck once English rests forward or goes for a spell, which every side has. I am still confident English and Gawn are clear r1 and r2, just not sure on what order..
It wasn’t just a bad game. It looked like he didn’t even try. Either totally disinterested or low on confidence, not sure yet. Concerning if the former

Hi Yazz, Crouch has done his job. He has provided points and cash. And you know he won’t be top 8 or DPP. The Croms are also talking about injecting pace in the guts to turn their form around, meaning Rankine and Soligo will get some CBs.
Dawson, where to start?? But at least you know that if he turns his form around he could be top 8-10. Let’s see what the community thinks

At 530k and with a BE of 14 I essentially see him at his starting price (if that makes sense).
If he gets injured within the next two rounds, I’d live with that; extra trades and Walsh will be an easy swap.
If he gets injured after two rounds, that’s just about a straight swap to say an English or a Trac. If he remains healthy I see him as a top 6 DEF. Not fussed on burning a trade if something does happen to him due to the extra trades.

Good points you raised there- no other issues elsewhere as such, just chasing points really.
Probably the only lingering concern would be what happens when Darcy comes back.
Jackson also has WC this week, and he may as well hit that BE 😉
I considered trading Jackson until I scoured the forwards list. Apart from Heeney and Flanders there’s not much to choose from so despite a high b/e and more fwd time he still might be a keeper

I too struggled over this but ended up paying the extra $ for Comben.
The way I see it is that the extra $100k is buying you JS, injury risk aside. Plus if Comben does continue to ave 80’ish he could run as F6 for as long as needed.

Even Gary Ablett had poor games. Look at the 4 scores and before last week and that says it all..
