Getting a premium defender this week to finish off my defence. Currently have Lloyd, Sicily, Docherty, Crisp and Short. Should I bring in a fallen premium like Stewart? Or get an uber premium like Ridley or Haynes? Money isnt an issue. Please leave some suggestions
Think money should be an issue. We’re half-way through the season and most still have 4/5 premo spots to fill with an increasingly frustrating and stagnant crop of cash cows. Try and save coin where you can.
That aside, still think Stewart is a great pick. Reads the ball superbly and looked sharp v a strong Eagles FWD line. Ridley also an excellent pick given he’s had his bye.
I’d be working on your DEF line first. Ling’s a low scorer and neither McAsey or Rivers are currently playing. Hurn and Stewart look to be great value at the moment, so bring one of them in this week perhaps. After that, your F4-6 is pretty volatile; Greenwood, Martin and Simpkin are all nicely/soon to be discounted now.
Your MID line is very strong with some excellent PODs and solid rookies, so you can afford to prioritize your DEF/FWD lines and look for fallen premos.
If we’re trying to maximize cash is it time to trade Rankine or has he still got some more growth to go?
T/U: Trade him. He wont grow more another few weeks.
T/D: Keep him. Can still put out a good score every now and again. Good F7 loophole option.
Reckon this depends on your team and which other rookies you’ve still got in. Will take a few weeks for rankine to grow a lot more but he looks to have the ability to throw in a big one.
If you’ve still got any of budarick, taylor, k pickett or non players i’d be moving them on first.
Question
Can’t remember bye round rules
As only 18 of your top 22 count
If 1 of your starting 22 doesn’t play does emergency on that line still count .
In other words can you still loop hole
Question for the community. Am I able to trade out any bye round player (in my case, Williamson for Carlton) at any stage during the round, right up to the last game?
Thanks for the help.
Really hard to know with the Lions. We’ve got too many defenders to be able to fit in. He probably played the Rich role, but what happens after Rich is available again?
Your onfield side is pretty good, but you’ve got a ton of deadwood on your bench, which is killing you cash gen.
I’d look to turn Weller into Stewart, who are moving in opposite directions. Then take your pick of Gould/Conroy/Bedord/Cavarra out, into Draper/Skinner/Bell.
Bennel should hopefully be back this week, and would expect Goodwin to wield the axe, so Rivers might get a run for Jones/Hibberd/Pickett/Sparrow/Lockhart, who are all doing SFA.
Tu:
Budarick > Bell
Benell > Skinner
Day > Stewart
Td:
Benell > Skinner/Bell
Conroy > Draper
(Save cash for next week)
Second option enables me to get Draper, however I won’t be able to afford an upgrade for Stewart down back. Currently ranked top 1%
Do I prioritise Stewart or Draper this week?
(Keeping in mind it may be early to chop day?)
Taylor + Starcevich -> Stewart + Draper (DPPs) are my first two trades. Would like some advice for my third. Options to trade out are Hamill, Hill and Rankine. Options in are either Neale or Duncan. Do I go for Duncan at his basement price or do I just have to get Neale in? (I’d need to trade either Hill or Rankine to afford Neale)
I’ve been thinking about cutting Doc as well. Will probably hold, but with Lloyd, Sic, Haynes, Daniel, Ridley and Maynard as a clear Top 6 currently, plus everyone getting Stewart, he’s probably not as essential as we may have thought.
If good JS, whats the comparisson to ballenden JS and scoring output?
TU : Ballenden
TD : Skinner
I read skinner replaced martin meaning he will be rucking?
But I also read Ballenden replacing Archie smith but will help maccinerny in the ruck.. Whats the truth ?
Fagan said “Ballenden had been working hard on his ruck craft, as well as his forward craft, over the past six months and would play Archie Smith’s role”.
Skinner is playing McStay’s forward roll whilst he is suspended. He has had 3 ACL’S so doubtful he will be risked in the ruck.
Simpkin is gonna dive in price this week (163 BE) and figure I can get him back in if he decides to pick it back up again. Wanna cash in before the Geelong boys rise in price. Every other option nets me 1 premo but the below trade gets me 2.
Thoughts on this trade?
Simpkin, Dev Smith, Williamson > Stewart, Duncan, Draper
Was looking to do similar. Simpkin already lost big dollars but set to lose more and it seems his wheels have fallen off. I love fallen premiums but there needs to be an acceptable excuse for the fall – playing poorly – is not one of those.
Stewart & Duncan both coming in for me and will likely flick D. Smith & Simpkin to fund it. Even though DSmith will avoid a bye and might be a nice F7/M9.
I like it, secretly hoping Simpkin works in out in the next couple of weeks, will be a great addition in time for finals at around $400k.
As for Dev Smith (I’m a Bombers fan) and he’s just lost the ability to hit targets (42% DE last week). Still one of the best pressure mid/fwds in the game, but we know how much SC loves effective disposals and losing that part of his game has resulted in him pumping out low 70s (instead of 90s to 100s).
Is it worth trading out a gun whose out for the bye and trading in a gun whose playing, then bringing the original gun back in once the byes over? 23 trades left.
Tu waste of a trade
Td good idea to keep your score up
Having just heard about Gawn’s issue, I’m tempted to use his value to afford Stewart & Duncan whilst avoiding his high-BE induced price fall. Then get him back later at a better price. BTW I only just got Gawn in for his 2020 lowest score – sorry about that Gawn owners.
Tim English – Draper
Starc – Stewart
Taylor – Duncan
Know that leaves me short in the Ruck department but English has a BE of 232 this week so will drop cash (potentially a lot), and Goldy and Grundy may still lose some cash this next week so I can pick them up cheaper
Hey SCT brain trust. Sorry in advance for the long post. Trying to brainstorm an alternative trade scenario here.
Is anyone else skittish about the JS/cash generation potential of this weeks rookie downgrades like I am, and byes down the road for this weeks hot upgrades? I’m probably going to answer my own question as I type this but here goes.
I have the current rookies on field King, Simpson, Aarts, Rankine, and Pickett. On the bench I have Taylor, Sturt, Bennell, Rivers, Close, McKay, Conroy and $44k in salary.
To bring in Duncan or Dusty (my defense is set) I have to let go of Taylor (fine) and two of King, Simpson or Rankine. Including Bennell or Sturt just works but leaves me with no money. I’m feeling a bit reluctant to pull the trigger because King, and Simpson should put some points on the board, make more money, have job security, and Rankine has a really high ceiling even though he’s likely losing money this week. Even though I’m upgrading one to a premium, the other two I’m going down to rookies who have shaky JS (Ballenden, Skinner) and/or may not generate much cash (Bell) and could end up with more dead money preventing me from future moves. Would likely end up between $80-90k in the bank.
The alternative, I think, is downgrading two of say Taylor, Rivers or Sturt to the above rookies. Leaving $200k in the bank and saving a trade to get funky with premiums coming off the bye next week who’ll ideally play every game for the rest of the season (Cripps, Mitchell, Fyfe, Eagles players).
I should also add that I have pretty good coverage for both bye weeks.
This is with hindsight now with Taylor injured but I say go for it. Trading Rankine, Taylor and Sturt/Bennell for Duncan, Skinner/Draper and Bell you are getting an extra premo and points and swapping non playing rookies for playing rookies. Their JS may be shaky but its the same as the ones currently on your bench
Currently have only 14 trades remaining and $188K in the kitty.
Really wanted to trade up to Duncan this week, but my midpricer in Cutler who I’ve held against all common sense, all season, makes it back but puts up a poor score (well poorer than forecast anyway) and Duncan went higher than I had hoped, which means I’ve got a shortfall now and would need to spend 2 trades to get there.
What worries me is the lack of downgrade targets and the lack of clarity around teams. Plus, some of my cows are still making money (Noble, Pickett, Simpson, Georgie, Close), while others have levelled off, but are reliable best 22 players in their team each week (Starce, Taylor, Budarick).
Tradable players are Rankine and Rivers. Rankine could also as easily meet his BE and hold value as not. Rivers I’ve been holding out due to his DPP status and having other areas of need.
TU: Hold your trades until the end of the compressed moron. There will always be another fallen premo.
TD: Duncan’s potential price rise and reliability is worth spending a couple of trades.
Anyone with fancy spreadsheet-type deals know hoe much Duncan would go up in he pumps out a 120?
I’m in the same boat (see above). I think it might depend on where the holes in your team are. I have depth with midfield rookies but am on thin ice in my forward line. Duncan is definitely good value at the price but hasn’t had a bye yet. I’m also looking at next weeks premiums coming off the byes to top up my midfield.
Duncan will go up to approx. $564k with a score of 125. FWIW if you have decent bench cover, I’d be flicking Starch or Taylor to get in a premo. Hope that helps!
I’ve just brought Viney in due to the bye and his upcoming draw. Barring the match on the weekend, where his score was brought down by 50% disposal efficiency, he had an average of 120 in his past 3.
If he’s your biggest problem, by all means fix it, but otherwise address your glaring frustrations and move him on later in the season. His BE are still achievable and he should grow a bit in value in that time
Currently ranked 700.
In order to get both Stewart and Duncan this week I have to trade either Pickett or Serong. Should I do it?
Starc – Stewart
Rankine – Rookie (Draper, Skinner)
Serong/Pickett – Duncan
TU – Serong
TD – Pickett
Comment – Wait a week on Stewart and hold Pickett/Serong
Just seeking some advice for trades, I can’t figure out what to do (Do i upgrade or downgrade?) I know I probably need to move Taylor on.
DEF: Sicily, Haynes, Daniel, Ridley, Doc, McPherson (Egg, Mckay)
Hey guys super frustrated with Toby Greene’s injuries, given he has the buy next round and is it worth jumping up to Dusty or Petracca while he’s only down 11K or is it still a sideways trade?
reports that Max Gawn is in doubt for Wednesday night’s clash against the Crows. He is undergoing scans today. Melbourne are hopeful that he will still take his place in the side.
I know Stewart is a prime trade in option but is he up there with the other defender’s
I’m currently 4 deep in DEF with Lloyd, Ridley, Laird and Docherty. If I do bring in Stewart I will have one spot left for a premo
That means in that one spot I can take one of Sicily, C.Daniel, Maynard, Haynes or L.Ryan who are all uber premos likely to put up a 100 each week. That’s a lot of points
I know Doc has been dodgy as of late and Laird is only good for around a 90 per week. But should I still be filling up a sport with Stewart?
I know he is a great option for the price and I have no doubts he will continue to score consistently well.
But I just worry that come the end of the year whether everyone will begin to regret having stewart in their teams and dont have room to bring in a more prolific score like Daniel, Haynes, Sicily, Maynard ETC.
Very valid concern, I just think there is such a big difference b/w the Top 8-10 defenders and the rest of the comp that everyone is likely to have 6-7 of them anyway, I think the core contingent of Mids and your top three forwards are what will break the difference between teams.
Daniel (*99.1)and Sicily (**105.1) are the only ones that have averaged near or over 100 for a whole season.
Ryan loves playing at home and is going through a purple patch but….. His best year was a 95.8.
He can put up some stinkers, trust me I’ve owned him.
Haynes(87.4*) and Maynard (79.9*)have only really become SC relevant this year. Hayes showed a bit at the end of last year.Maynard seems to have taken Howe’s role for the Pies. Ridley is the one that has come from nowhere. He seem to have what it takes in his current role. I would back him to hold his form (3R ave 98 )
Basically you have Lloyd and Sicily as Defensive Uber Premo’s and then a few guys that could pip the 100
Daniel, Hayes,Stewart and Doc ( 114.7***)
Then there’s these guys that should average 90 / 100
Ryan,Ridler,Maynard,Crisp, Saad, Mills,Short, Houston
Doedee ?
Stewart averaged 98.2 last year and finished in the top 6 for defenders. R1 he was.. $533K so you get a $90K discount on his starting price.
I think he is the very definition of a “Fallen Premium”
Everyone going for Duncan this week might give me an edge with Dunkley, however that only leaves me with $30k in the bank and I feel like I’m gonna need more, thoughts?
Given most of us (let’s be honest) aren’t likely to win the overall prize, I feel we really need to be focusing on winning that important cash league.
Now the SC finals are to be played from rounds 14-17 (according to the website), which means it’s very likely they’ll be happening while many teams are having their byes, resulting in best 18 scoring.
I really think we need to be prioritising players which are not going to have a bye during the SC finals. So while Duncan and Stewart (among others) are extremely good value right now, I’m concerned they could end up costing me a final (and a few hundred bucks!).
It would be nice to know who (if anyone) will have a bye during Rd 13 (prior to finals), but without that information, I’m really leaning towards players which we know will have had their bye before finals.
Do we know when the next group of fixturing will be released?
Hey guys, apologies in advance if this is too long of a post! I’ll try to keep it as short as I can, however I’m trying to plan in advance to make sure I’m doing the correct trades this week.
This is my team after this weeks trades (Duncan and Stewart coming in):
My next plan was to bring Fyfe and 2 rookies in for Simpson, Budarick and McPherson next week… However, I don’t have Neale haha.
If I trade Fyfe in, I would plan to use my last 3 trades to bring in Walters as he would already have had his bye (leaves me with 5 luxury/injury trades)
TU – Go with Fyfe (3 trades)!
TD – Try what you can to bring Neale in despite his bye (4 trades, takes an extra round to get)
Wow, Bubz. You’re excellently positioned, good work!
Yeah, I’d go with Fyfe. Seeing how quickly you’re moving these rookies on, you should look to bring in a heavy hitter or two to offset not having Neale.
Cheers! Currently sitting in the top 2k with my plan being to stay ahead of everyone since I don’t have Neale! Hopefully I have the cash generation to bring Walters in around round 12-13.
Stewart, Skinner and Draper in this week, carry a $270k bank into next week to bring Tim Kelly and Luke Ryan into the side.
Will leave me with 9 trades and only one rookie on field (Cameron/Aarts/Skinner) – one of whom will be upgraded to a mid via DPP.
Still have a few “issues” – Dev Smith, Simpkin, Pittonet – luxury trades in the last few rounds if need be.
Been a crazy season, but I’m feeling like I’ve navigated it reasonably well. Playing for leagues, so the overall ranking has taken a hit but I should come home reasonably strong.
Good Question, I would like to know too – I have Williamson from Carlton, who I’d like to trade into a rookie. May have to pull the trigger earlier if the BYE players do get locked at the start of the round.
Hi all, already posted eariler about trade advice. I’m thinking of doing Egg and Taylor to Stewart and Skinner.
DEF: Sicily, Haynes, Daniel, Ridley, Doc, McPherson (Egg, Mckay)
I wouldn’t normally trade him but this year is tough for cash gen and Simpkin is going backwards. Been watching the last few North games and while he attends a lot of CBAs, he hasn’t been attacking the ball like previously and looks hampered by that ankle injury.
More than happy to be proven wrong and bring him back in later, but with a 163 BE and two fallen premos ripe for the picking with low BEs (Stewart and Duncan), feels like the right call to trade him now.
Just my perspective, may be completely wrong but that’s the beauty of SC this year!
Some reports Gawn is in doubt and may miss some weeks (little bit of speculation). If that happens, best downgrade target to provide some value until Gawn is back?
I would n’t trade him during the bye rounds as its best 18 anyway.
If he is going to miss longer ( I doubt it ) Then Goldie is the “like for like” assuming you own Grundy?
If you want to take a big punt??
Nic Nat looks like he is slowly upping his time on ground. He also seems to relish the home crowd. It’s pretty risky but it does free up quite a bit of cash.
I would stick with Gawn.
He could outscore most other Rucks on one leg!
I’m really not sure about these trades this week for many TU and TD will be appreciated.
Budarick to Stewart, C Taylor to Woodcock, Sturt to Skinner, around $230k for next week
Hey SCT,
Does anyone know how draft leagues will score?
Assuming no best 18 and just normal scoring? (No averages?)
Will bye players be locked out or can you still use them as a loop hole/ trade them later in the round
Cheers!
have parfitt
was looking at s Mays from port with 2 big scores.
is he work a look.
i wont want to replace to make money i just want to have a player score
Is it worth losing the Conroy loophole to get Draper for ruck coverage & cash gen?
Currently thinking to do:
Williamson -> Stewart
Rankine -> Skinner
and maybe Conroy -> Draper
This will only leave me with 77K for next week.
The other option is to sit tight as I’m likely to have 20/21 players both weeks of the byes.
This season’s SC is too hard 🙂
@azza…tough tough call. I reckon a lot of coaches, including myself, are mulling over the same choice.
I’ve kept both, for the time being. Only because I wanted to finish off my backline.
Otherwise, I feel it’s a coin toss. Smith has no bye, bonus. Simpkin is just rolling along…..minor injury? A few bad games and form slump?
Again, real hard pick. If I was to choose, I’d likely trade Smith….only because Simpkin is worth more in the short term. Both have ‘not agreeable BE’s’.
Filled my back line this week with Stewart and a forgotten premium in Zac Williams. I will now just need to upgrade either Doc, Laird or Houston to Lloyd and I’m set. Final seven before Lloyd are: Sicily, Ridley, Laird, Houston (currently floating in the midfield), Doc, Stewart and Williams.
OUT
Simpkin (via Cameron)/D Smith/Rankine
IN
Draper/Duncan/Stewart
My thoughts are that Stewart and Duncan will provide a much better return over the rookies they replace than Simpkin and Smith who are basically outputting Rookie to Mid scores.
Why is everyone bringing in Skinner (unless you will get a 0) as surely he will be out next week when McStay returns plus they are playing Richmond tonight? What am I missing?
Like many, I have used maximum number of trades every week until now. Even with the extra 4 trades, I’m concerned about not having enough left to cover SC finals, especially with 10 teams still to have byes after Rd12.
So, how confident are we that extra trades will be added again when additional bye rounds are announced?
TU Don’t worry. Extra trades are definitely coming
TD Don’t count on getting more trades
What is everyone doing with Pittonet?
TU – Hold and trade to Goldy/ Gawn after they drop in price
TD – Trade this week to Draper (and trade out Taylor and Smith for Duncan and Stewart)
Why would either of you be trading out Docherty?!?
In the last month he’s been tagged twice, played one shocker and then looked okay last week. Going to be very useful coming off his bye, especially with that high ceiling. Worst case scenario he’s D6, but I wouldn’t go trading him.
I’m doing this purely for the points this week as I’m in a cash league where highest point scorer pre finals gets paid. I’ll have 22 warm bodies plus bench next week, subject to the SC Gods, then will be downgrading to get Lloyd to complete defs…..hope he has his bye soon. Extra trades this year allows me to do this and head into finals with 6-8 trades.
Shame Stewart posted his lowest score of the tear with hindsight.
5 tackles and very tidy DE, should keep him in the side.
We are seriously down to our last tallish Defender.
Cox is a forward / ruck now playing down back.
He should get a decent run as that 3rd Tall defender.
TU: Duncan this week (already got stewart and draper) – pretty much $0 in the bank
TD: Cripps and Ridley next week + downgrade
Unsure when the geelong bye will be and dont want to accumulate too many players that haven’t had a bye, especially if it coincides with sc finals, whereas cripps and ridley have already had their byes. Just conflicted as Duncans average and price are too good to give up if it wont cost me donughts later down the track
Bell and Ling from Syd look like they have solid JS, though with the bye next week.
There’s some excitement around Schoenberg and Sholl debuting for Crows, however they have eight changes, so are clearly rotating their 22 through the byes.
With news that Walters will miss another game after his bye – which could become two with the condensed fixture – I’m thinking of trading him instead of Viney (for Stewart & Duncan). Freo have their bye plus two games in the next 10 days, and have been very sketchy on injuries this year. So that could be three extra rounds out of Viney, instead of holding Walters on the pine.
I’m currently in the Top 50 and going for overall. Viney will push my 18th player off the field (such as Buda, who would otherwise be covering for Walters), so that could gain me 50-70 points per week. It’ll also allow me to hold King instead of Rankine.
TU: Trade Walters and bank the extra points over the next 2-3 rounds.
TD: Trade Viney, save a trade, hope to make up the points later.
Firstly, sadly no. Emergencies only count on their line.
Secondly, the top score would contribute to your 18. For example, if you have Sicily (def), Mitchell (Mid) and Wingard (Fwd), all with playing emergencies, they would be included in your Top 18 from highest-to-lowest, with the lowest scores dropping out first.
*Lastly, the higher scorer. This is in contrast to a normal round, where you would get the lower of the two.
*EDIT: This last point is incorrect. It is ALWAYS the lowest of the two.
I’m not sure that last point is correct. The rules seem to indicate that Emergencies follow the usual rules (see quote from Herald Sun page below). I would assume this means you get the lower score of your two emergencies (as per normal), but that lower score only counts if it is in your best 18. I haven’t seen anything to indicate otherwise.
“If you have further available players in any position during these multi-bye rounds, you may set Emergencies for those positions as usual. Emergencies will continue to replace non-starting players in your Starting 22 with the usual rules, in the same position (including any ‘bye’ player that you may have left in your Starting 22) and their score will only count if it is in your Best 18.”
Can anyone confirm for sure? This absolutely matters if you have more than one E option on any given line.
In my mids I have 7 playing onfield and two playing on the bench.
In my fwd line, I have 5 playing onfield and two playing on the bench.
So only 1 of the two bench scores from each line will count.
Do I need to loophole my bench players to try get the higher of the scores as usual. Or can I just put the E on all 4 and trust that SC will use the HIGHER of the E scores on each line.
The rules seem fairly definitive to me. The “best 18” rules state that emergencies follow the usual rules. The usual “emergency” rules state:
“EMERGENCY PLAYER SCORING
Where there’s more than one emergency available in a certain position and only one is required, the lowest scoring emergency will be used.”
I would suggest you loophole your bench players as normal. Happy for you to do a trial with both though, and tell us all for sure on Saturday 🙂
Thanks Chonkers, that was what I thought but Matt seemed pretty confident SC would use the HIGHER of two E scores to fill one onfield possy. . I hope that might be correct but not very keen on experimenting. Unless there is “official” confirmation then I will be loopholing as usual.
Also a call out to my almost namesake RIYMP for raising this really good question in the first place. Cheers.
Apologies if I’ve given anyone the wrong info here; it’d be great to get some definitive clarity. The rule Chonkers posts below does seem clear, but would also seem to contradict:
“Best 18 players (top 18 scores) selected in your Starting 22 only, from any position (including any Emergencies required)”.
To me, this indicates that the Top 18 scores will automatically be selected, including emergencies. So if you have both Close (31) and Bennell (42) as an emergency for Titch, you would get Bennell.
All good Matt. It does seem a bit open to interpretation. I was wanting you to be right but yes seems clear enough that it is the usual rule for emergencies. Cheers.
That’s awesome Matt. I wasn’t aware of that last point. Very good to know as don’t have to worry about trying to loophole bench scores. Just put E on them all!
So with no byes in Rd 13, and supercoach finals starting in Rd 14 with 10 teams that will be yet to have a bye, carnage awaits! Could be very beneficial to be focusing on trading in players that won’t have a bye through finals.
Who are you getting this week?
TU Stewart
TD Duncan
If you’re getting both, don’t talk to me.
Feel like Duncan is the most likely to throw up another 130+, while Stewart is the most likely to go sub 100… sooo Duncan?
Both for mine
Will depend on BEs. Just need SC to close-off the round so I can start move my magnets.
BEs are basically the same, in the low 30s
Paid 600k for duncan 3 weeks ago.
Thinking
Brander (via B. Williams WCE) to Draper
Willo to Stewart
Getting a premium defender this week to finish off my defence. Currently have Lloyd, Sicily, Docherty, Crisp and Short. Should I bring in a fallen premium like Stewart? Or get an uber premium like Ridley or Haynes? Money isnt an issue. Please leave some suggestions
Haynes or Daniel or Stewart all three great options
Hey, Hazza.
Best of luck.
Cheers GD! Ill put it to the community. For my final defense upgrade
T/U: Stewart +60k
T/D: Ridley
If you can hold off till his bye, I’d take Haynes in a few weeks.
But Stewart is far from a bad option.
I guess it could depend on how you are travelling overall or in leagues as well.
If you need a big jump, Stewart now would make sense, if you are sitting pretty you could wait on Haynes.
How does it work with getting the average this week? So if I have a playing bench cover will they sub for a bye player if I have the E on them?
Shoot forgot to say please and thank you. 🙂
Hi SCT, need some tips on my team planning to fix my defence and forward but whole field is a mess, what should i do first?
Bank: 65K

Evening, Samuel.
Good luck.
Currently ranked 821. Thinking of Going…
OUT: McEvoy, N. Anderson and S.Hill
IN: Duncan, Stewart and Draper
Leaves me with 60k in the bank and just got to wait for Gawn to become gettable in a few weeks?
What do you mean by McEvoy? Can’t be Ben if you’re ranked that high.
Went from Naismith, to Ceglar via DPP then across to big boy for a few weeks. Just been waiting for Gawny to have an off week
Stewart is the vibe this week, with Starc making way.
As for my cash generation, who to trade out…
TU: Rankine
TD: Simpson
Rankine’s BE has met his average, while Simpson is looking like he might be given a break soon.
Not many options to chop this week. Rankine?
Tu; Hold
Td; Trade
Is drapers JS worth trading him in?
Tu; Draper IN
Td; Pass
If we’re trying to maximize cash is it time to trade Rankine or has he still got some more growth to go?
T/U: Trade him. He wont grow more another few weeks.
T/D: Keep him. Can still put out a good score every now and again. Good F7 loophole option.
keep for this week, up against a st kilda team due for a stinker
Reckon this depends on your team and which other rookies you’ve still got in. Will take a few weeks for rankine to grow a lot more but he looks to have the ability to throw in a big one.
If you’ve still got any of budarick, taylor, k pickett or non players i’d be moving them on first.
thinking of a rash move – Simpkin to Woodcock – gives me heaps of cash to upgrade defence and maybe a premo forward
Question
Can’t remember bye round rules
As only 18 of your top 22 count
If 1 of your starting 22 doesn’t play does emergency on that line still count .
In other words can you still loop hole

Traded out Doedee & Day for Stewart & McKay
You should trade out McInerney instead of Day. Day has still got a bit of cash to make and is in the Hawks Best 22. Mcinerney is a dead rookie
I can only afford to trade in one along with Stewart. Who do i get out of Duncan and Dusty?
TU: Duncan
TD: Dusty
Weaving a bit of DPP magic:
Budarick > Bell
Rankine > Keane
Townsend > Stewart
This completes my defenders and leaves me with 4 upgrades to go.
Question for the community. Am I able to trade out any bye round player (in my case, Williamson for Carlton) at any stage during the round, right up to the last game?
Thanks for the help.
Sure can
Best downgrade options besides Draper? Need to make some cash but it’s looking slim..
Skinner
Close, Bell, Watson, Ling
Thoughts on Witherden?
Bit of a risky one, but could be a steal at that price. Perfect upgrade for Starc.
Really hard to know with the Lions. We’ve got too many defenders to be able to fit in. He probably played the Rich role, but what happens after Rich is available again?
Hi guys just seeing if I can have some advice for trades, I can’t figure out what to do
Def- Haynes, Maynard, Ridley, Daniel, Docherty, Weller (Bzt, Gould)
Mid- Treloar, Mitchell, Viney, kelly, Neale, B Smith, Pickett, Simpson (Bennel, Rivers, Close)
Ruck- Gawn, Grundy (Conroy)
Fwd- Brayshaw, Martin, Whitfield, D Smith, Rankine, Georgiadus (bedford, cavarra)
Any advice would be appreciated
Your onfield side is pretty good, but you’ve got a ton of deadwood on your bench, which is killing you cash gen.
I’d look to turn Weller into Stewart, who are moving in opposite directions. Then take your pick of Gould/Conroy/Bedord/Cavarra out, into Draper/Skinner/Bell.
Bennel should hopefully be back this week, and would expect Goodwin to wield the axe, so Rivers might get a run for Jones/Hibberd/Pickett/Sparrow/Lockhart, who are all doing SFA.
TU – Skinner
TD – Woodcock
Cheers.
Who to trade for Stewart:
TU – Byrne-Jones
TD – Hurn
TU Neale
TD Duncan
Please comments any thoughts on the above 🙂
Who goes?
T/U Rankine 76 BE
T/D Aarts 6 BE
Comment: Bennell
J.Noble,S.Hill > T.Stewart,M.Keane
Hold Noble. Don’t bring in Keane.
Rankine, English, Dev Smith OUT
Stewart, Draper (via Xerri DPP) and Gawn IN
YES = TU
NO = TD
Wait on Gawn for at least a week, if not 2. His break even is well over 200 so he’ll drop heaps in price
Why is everyone so sure on draper?
Will Mckernan come back and force him out of the side? Langford is also due back from suspension.
Thoughts please!!
Do you know maki to the Bush
Stewart may make way for Draper, or they may go for Draper as single ruckman and leave Bellchambers out. Very hard to know what Essendon is planning.
TU:
Rankine and Starc -> Petrecca and Witherden
TD:
D.Smith and Starc -> Petrecca and Stewart
Hey guys, need your advice. 16 trades left. $21,800 Salary.
Def- Lloyd, Sicily, Ridley, Maynard, Docherty, Noble (Day, B Williams)
Mid- Neale, Oliver, Mitchell, Coniglio, Viney, Cripps, Pickett, Simpson (Hayden, Bennell, Rivers)
Ruck- Gawn, Grundy (Cameron)
Fwd- Petracca, Whitfield, D Martin, Bewley, D Smith, Rankine (Georgiadus, Close)
I’m thinking of taking a big risk. Ending up with a weaker fwd line but stronger mids and defence.
Trade out: Bewley, D Smith and Pickett.
Trade in: Stewart, Duncan and Skinner.
This allows me to complete my backline and 18 premos/22 overall.
What do you think ?
Trade out
TU rankine – BE 76
TD Sturt – 32 *Not playing this week
Sturt could come back in after the bye and make some extra $…
Ranking coulb get some handy points for me this week OR NOT.
So originally my trade plan was going to be Starc, Noble and Sturt for Stewart, Draper and Keane but now I’m reconsidering.
I don’t have Neale yet and don’t know whether I need to get him in over Stewart this week.
T/U – stay with Starc, Rankine, Sturt —> Stewart, Draper, Keane
T/D – Rankine, Noble, Simpson —> Neale, Draper, Keane
T/U on Comment – Starc, McGrath, Sturt —> Neale, Draper, Keane
Final option
Peter Ladhams job security???
TU good – there to stay
TD bad – out when Lycett is back (or relegated to back up role?
Call me crazy but…
S Hill —> Draper
Rankine —> Duncan
Docherty —> Stewart
T/U: Crazy good
T/D: Crazy bad
I’ve been thinking about cutting Doc as well. Will probably hold, but with Lloyd, Sic, Haynes, Daniel, Ridley and Maynard as a clear Top 6 currently, plus everyone getting Stewart, he’s probably not as essential as we may have thought.
I know I have 15 TDs but I’m set on it.
Allows me to get Stewart and Duncan this week, then next week I can go:
Noble —> T Watson
Pickett —> T Mitchell
what is skinner JS??
does any one know how long stef martin will be out for ??
TU Love it
TD Hate it
Was looking to do similar.
B.Bewley,T.Rivers > T.Stewart , S.Skinner
Hey guys have 15 trades left & 6 upgrades to get done. Thoughts on
Starcevich —> Stewart
C. Taylor —> Draper Via Comben
Rankine —> Martin
Leaves me with 50k, 12 trades & 4 upgrades
Thanks
Is it worth trading out a gun whose out for the bye and trading in a gun whose playing, then bringing the original gun back in once the byes over? 23 trades left.
Tu waste of a trade
Td good idea to keep your score up
Having just heard about Gawn’s issue, I’m tempted to use his value to afford Stewart & Duncan whilst avoiding his high-BE induced price fall. Then get him back later at a better price. BTW I only just got Gawn in for his 2020 lowest score – sorry about that Gawn owners.
Risky as things will likely go wrong and you’ll be stuck without Gawn and needing extra trades/weeks to get him back
B.Bewley,S.Hill,D.Butler >S.Skinner,T.Stewart,D.Martin
Leaves me about 9k
McInerney out, Bell in
Sturt out, Skinner in
Starcevich out, Stewart in
TU – get it done
TD – maybe not
Will leave me with 16 trades left
Are there any downgrades for Rankine this week?
Can be mid or fwd.
Looking like slim pickings
Skinner potentially from Brisbane. Unsure of security as I don’t know if he is covering for McStay
Draper via dpp R3?
This might be insane but sounds fun to me.
Thoughts?
Thoughts? Cheers!
Hey mate, looks like this is what you need.
https://twitter.com/bricemitchell/status/1289728078436921344?s=21
Duncan will go up to approx. $564k with a score of 125. FWIW if you have decent bench cover, I’d be flicking Starch or Taylor to get in a premo. Hope that helps!
Bringing in Stewart and Draper already.
For my 3rd trade I have two options
Tu – D Smith to Duncan
Td – C Taylor to Boak
Can’t afford Duncan by shedding rookies but at this stage Smith isn’t much better.
Need a solid downgrade for Rankine. Considering Weightman, but I think S. Skinner might get a few runs in a row. Thoughts on his JS?
TU: S. Skinner
TD: Weightman
Thinking Viney to macrae.
T/u – go for it, he’s a SuperCoach star.
T/d – nah, there’s better value. Mitchell, Duncan for example.
Or do I just hold Viney. he’s doing ok, but I don’t see him as a keeper.
Cheers
Hold for now and fix towards finals once you are at full premo
I’ve just brought Viney in due to the bye and his upcoming draw. Barring the match on the weekend, where his score was brought down by 50% disposal efficiency, he had an average of 120 in his past 3.
If he’s your biggest problem, by all means fix it, but otherwise address your glaring frustrations and move him on later in the season. His BE are still achievable and he should grow a bit in value in that time
Probably sound advice. He is quite frustrating though – there were a few 60s in there 4 or 5 weeks ago.
Enjoy the ride! 🙂
Thanks – I’m terrified!
Who goes

In order to get both Stewart and Duncan this week I have to trade either Pickett or Serong. Should I do it?
Starc – Stewart

TD – Pickett
Comment – Wait a week on Stewart and hold Pickett/Serong

What are the best downgrade options this week?
Skinner (Fwd) 111k
Draper (Ruc) 123.9k
Seem to be the two most popular.
Rankine going on the chopping block to fund some upgrades. Who’s the better Fwd downgrade option? (already have Close)
T/U: Bell (Syd, $159 900, Mid/Fwd)
T/D: Skinner (BL, $111 400)
Hi all,
Just seeking some advice for trades, I can’t figure out what to do (Do i upgrade or downgrade?) I know I probably need to move Taylor on.
DEF: Sicily, Haynes, Daniel, Ridley, Doc, McPherson (Egg, Mckay)
MID: Neale, Oliver, A.Brayshaw (Freo), Bont, Cripps, Bailey Smith, Pickett, S.Simpson (Budarick, Rivers, Robertson (Lions))
RUC: Gawn, Grundy (D.Cameron)
FWD: Petracca, Whitfield, Dusty, Rankine, Taylor, Close (Mahony, Aarts)
18 trades left, $60,900 in the bank
Help would be greatly appreciated
Cheers

Oops. T/D Duncan
Already two premo CATS in regards to byes.
Rankine>Draper

or should I be looking at a Duncan, Witherdon, Mayes type instead of Neale?
Bit of a conundrum. Do we go for $$ or points. Who is better in the long term.
TU: Mitch Duncan
TD: Ollie Wines
Cheers gents
Worth going Conroy to Draper? Or just downgrade elsewhere?
Have no DPP link to being him in any other way
If you can only get one in this week, who is priority?

Hey guys super frustrated with Toby Greene’s injuries, given he has the buy next round and is it worth jumping up to Dusty or Petracca while he’s only down 11K or is it still a sideways trade?
TU Dusty/Petracca
TD sideways not worth it
Thanks as always legends
Only 14 trades left and 6 upgrades to go and might mean not getting to full premo but am fed up with Simpkin and Yeo..

Was tracking well before injury so absolutely. Short, crisp saad are the only others i would consider
I know he is a great option for the price and I have no doubts he will continue to score consistently well.
But I just worry that come the end of the year whether everyone will begin to regret having stewart in their teams and dont have room to bring in a more prolific score like Daniel, Haynes, Sicily, Maynard ETC.
Its probably me just overthinking it.
Very valid concern, I just think there is such a big difference b/w the Top 8-10 defenders and the rest of the comp that everyone is likely to have 6-7 of them anyway, I think the core contingent of Mids and your top three forwards are what will break the difference between teams.
MnM
You may be over thinking it.
Of the five”uber premo’s’ you refer to..
* 2019 ave.
** 2018 ave
***2017 ave
Jump on !
So well said, FT.
Dead-on.
Just have enough for
Williamson to stewart
Bewley to Draper (dpp)
Simpkin to Duncan (ddp)
Are Melbourne tanking cause they know they will win this weekend and resting Gawn or does Gawn have a fucken injury this season such a write of

TU – Neale, Draper & Skinner in ($111k bank)
TD – Stewart, Duncan & Draper in ($60k bank)
It feels like now or never to grab Neale
Hey legends,
To get to Duncan I need to:
T/U: Trade S Simpson
OR
T/D: Trade M Pickett
TU :Should i trade out “B.Bewley,S.Hill,D.Butler >S.Skinner,T.Stewart,D.Martin” leaves me about 9K
OR wait until net week and have more cash and do this trade instead
TD: T.Rivers, Bewely > S.Skinner,T.Stewart 44k bank
Hey Frankie.
Tom Stewart B/E is 31, He is projected to make $28K.
If he scores only 94.
If he goes 147 again, you can expect he will make nearly double that.
His R11 price should be around $460-470K
This is based on him scoring 100-120.
I would just get him in now.
So should i get Dustin too?
Yep 😉
His price is heading north too.
Who has better JS
TU Skinner
TD Ballended
??
who’s the better upgrade for this week?
TU – Dunkley
TD – Duncan
Everyone going for Duncan this week might give me an edge with Dunkley, however that only leaves me with $30k in the bank and I feel like I’m gonna need more, thoughts?
Trying to get creative with trades this week…
Tu: Brodie Smith, Simpkin, Brander -> Neale, Stewart, Draper (clears underperformers)
Td: EGG, Devon Smith, Rankine -> Duncan, Stewart, Draper (clears awk EGG and underperformers)
Hey guys what you think of this?
Taylor-Skinner, Egg-T.Stewart
Yes
Or
No
Cheers
Who to get rid of first now that I no longer have injuries to replace?
TU: Townsend
TD: Rankine
Comment: Taylor
And who to bring in?
TU: Papley
TD: Wingard?
Hey guys, apologies in advance if this is too long of a post! I’ll try to keep it as short as I can, however I’m trying to plan in advance to make sure I’m doing the correct trades this week.
This is my team after this weeks trades (Duncan and Stewart coming in):
DEF: Haynes, Daniel, Ridley, Docherty, Stewart, Doedee (McPherson, Ling)
MID: Macrae, Danger, Duncan, Cogs, Viney, Bont, Cripps, Simpson (Bennell, Rivers, Budarick)
FWD: Whitfield, Tracca, Dusty, Baz, Simpkin, Close (Sturt, Comben)
Thank you for your advice!
Duncan is of immense value no doubt – but, still has a bye to come.
T/U: Duncan
T/D: Petracca
Thanks guys -appreciate your thoughts.
Gonna hold Simpkin and Dev (hope they come good)
Yeo / Rankine / Conroy
Into
Duncan / Skinner / Draper (cover for Gawndy)
And then bring in Neale next week for Pickett or Dev (if he spuds up)
Quick question…when are players on the BYE locked out this week?
Is it the start of the round or just before the final game of the round?
Cheers
Good Question, I would like to know too – I have Williamson from Carlton, who I’d like to trade into a rookie. May have to pull the trigger earlier if the BYE players do get locked at the start of the round.
Bye players only locked out for the end of the round.
You can use them for captains loop or trade them mid round.
not locked until last game of round
Hi all, already posted eariler about trade advice. I’m thinking of doing Egg and Taylor to Stewart and Skinner.
DEF: Sicily, Haynes, Daniel, Ridley, Doc, McPherson (Egg, Mckay)
MID: Neale, Oliver, A.Brayshaw (Freo), Bont, Cripps, Bailey Smith, Pickett, S.Simpson (Budarick, Rivers, Robertson (Lions))
RUC: Gawn, Grundy (D.Cameron)
FWD: Petracca, Whitfield, Dusty, Rankine, Taylor, Close (Mahony, Aarts)
18 trades left, $60,900 in the bank
Cheers

petracca,greenwood,whitfield,brayshaw,rankine,georgiades (aarts,skinner)
$285K in bank for next week to upgrade forwards first??
T/U – Duncan
T/D – Dusty
Stuck between picking up some absolute red hot deals this week, and saving trades for the rest of the season.
TU: Simpkin, Byrne-Jones, Comben –> T.Stewart, Duncan, Draper (leaves me with 12 trades)
TD: only make one of those trades to keep some trades AND cash in the bank (leaves me with 14 trades and a bit more cash)
Why is everyone trading Simpkin ?
I’m thinking of trading him in. (next week)
Surely his early season form is enough to suggest he has got what it takes. He was averaging 120+ up until 3 weeks ago.
Unless someone can confirm he is injured ? I think it’s only a matter of time before he returns to form.
HOLD!
You make some great points Varusman.
Any other year, we probably wouldn’t have the luxury.
With a few extra trades, we can afford to speculate a little more.
Best of luck.
Completely agree, in a regular SC year, conserving trades usually requires meticulous planning for the bye rounds.
The extra 4 trades means there’s a little more liberty. (Also secretly hoping they add more trades for the future bye rounds).
Best of luck to you too mate!
Also IL
look at getting in S Draper Ruck $123K ESS
He scored 73 first up and could be great Ruck cover at R3
Rankine to Draper
Bennell to Bell
English to Goldy
200k banked with Brander, Williamson, Buddarick to go next week
Can’t afford Stewart this week i tried =[
Nateo
What about
Williamson to T Watson.
Rankine to Draper.
Brander to Stewart.
Gotta get rid of English 233 be
Which is more pressing?
TU Bont (high BE) to Neale (BE 93 )or
TD Rankine to Draper
Already brought in Stewart and Duncan
I’m really not sure about these trades this week for many TU and TD will be appreciated.
Budarick to Stewart, C Taylor to Woodcock, Sturt to Skinner, around $230k for next week
Currently 343k in the bank
Thoughts on:
OUT: D. Smith, Simpkin & Pittonet
IN: T. Stewart, D. Martin & B. Smith
68k left over in the bank
Note:
I already have Draper/D. Cameron that can provide ruck coverage during the bye rounds before upgrading to Gawn in a few weeks
TU: Go for it
TD: Go for alternative trades I.e. Duncan instead of Martin)
Thanks team,
Hey SCT,
Does anyone know how draft leagues will score?
Assuming no best 18 and just normal scoring? (No averages?)
Will bye players be locked out or can you still use them as a loop hole/ trade them later in the round
Cheers!
Is Doedee to Stewart a worthwhile trade?
have parfitt
was looking at s Mays from port with 2 big scores.
is he work a look.
i wont want to replace to make money i just want to have a player score
tu
or tell me another option/ td
g
His ( Mayes ) other score was a 39 ??
I’m afraid your trading trouble for more trouble.
Whats your budget ?
Dusty at $510K is a bargain.
You could straight swap to B Smith from the Dogs if you don’t have him. he is still great value at that price.
Good luck 🙂
Is it worth losing the Conroy loophole to get Draper for ruck coverage & cash gen?
Currently thinking to do:
Williamson -> Stewart
Rankine -> Skinner
and maybe Conroy -> Draper
This will only leave me with 77K for next week.
The other option is to sit tight as I’m likely to have 20/21 players both weeks of the byes.
This season’s SC is too hard 🙂
Bit of a re-working, not too keen on Keane and forgot that Tobe had a bye lol:
Townsend > Skinner
Budarick > Bell
Rankine > Stewart
HELP!
TU: King, Rankine, Pickett to Rookie, Rookie, Neale
TD: King, Rankine, Brander to D.Martin
Thanks!
TU – skinner
TD – ballenden
Need to trade out one of these, to afford my trades this week
TU – trade out J Simpkin Av 96.2 BE 163 Last 3 Av 49.3
TD – trade out D Smith Av 76.4 BE 89 Last 3 Av 64.3
@azza…tough tough call. I reckon a lot of coaches, including myself, are mulling over the same choice.
I’ve kept both, for the time being. Only because I wanted to finish off my backline.
Otherwise, I feel it’s a coin toss. Smith has no bye, bonus. Simpkin is just rolling along…..minor injury? A few bad games and form slump?
Again, real hard pick. If I was to choose, I’d likely trade Smith….only because Simpkin is worth more in the short term. Both have ‘not agreeable BE’s’.
Torn between which fattened rookie needs to go this week
TU: Rankine
TD: C Taylor
If you had to trade one..
TU: Simpkin
TD: Yeo
I know you never trade out a premium, as Cripps showed as all last week.
But with Dunkley coming back now, is it time I move on from Bont and trade him for Macrae? (or another premium)
TU – Yes
TD – No
TU: Steele
TD: Danger or Josh Kelly
Thoughts on this?
Williamson > Draper (via Williams dpp)
Vandermeer > Skinner (Bench and field Georgiades)
Rankine > Greenwood
Cheers
If you can wait on Greenwood by a week, you should – he’s got a high BE and is set to lose about 25k this week (and another 15-20k the week after).
Worth trading three eagles this week?..Hurn, Yeo Kelly
TU: Skinner
TD: Close
TU Doedee>Tom Stewart
TD Rankine>Zac Bailey (via DPP)
How is Doedee’s hammy?
D.Smith > Skinner
Conroy > Draper
Day > Stewart
Tu or Td?
T/U Skinner
T/D bell
T/U – Will Day > Hunter Clark
T/D – Tom Doedee > Tom Stewart
Thanks
Doedee -> Stewart
D Smith -> Dusty
Rankine -> Draper (via Cameron DPP)
TU: do it
TD: maybe hold D Smith for now and think of something else?
Trading outs are easy but trading in ???
T/U Stewart/Merrett
T/D Stewart/Duncan
Reckon Merrett having had the bye swings it.
Current Team
DEF – Docherty, Laird, Doedee, Hurn, Starcevich, Williamson (Ling, Rivers)
MID – Macrae, Treloar, Kelly, Whitfield, Bontempelli, Cripps, Pickett, Simpson (Budarick, Brown, Close)
RUC – Grundy, Goldstein (Conroy)
FWD – Petracca, Martin, Simpkin, D Smith, Taylor, Rankine (Aarts, Cameron)
The first two trades I’ll be making is
Taylor > Skinner/Ballenden
Conroy > Draper
Which of these should I make for my final trade?
TU: Williamson > Stewart
TD: Hurn > Ridley
(Two more options below)
TU: D. Smith > Lyons (via. Whitfield) – Good POD possibility
TD: Brown > Stewart (via. Rivers)
Rankine > Skinner
Cameron > Draper
Starcevich > Stewart
TU – execute
TD – hold
Why does everyone think skinner is a good pick? Doubt he stays in next week, Mcstay will be back
OUT
Simpkin (via Cameron)/D Smith/Rankine
IN
Draper/Duncan/Stewart
My thoughts are that Stewart and Duncan will provide a much better return over the rookies they replace than Simpkin and Smith who are basically outputting Rookie to Mid scores.
TU: Yep. Time to go Simpkin and Smith
TD: Hold
Why is everyone bringing in Skinner (unless you will get a 0) as surely he will be out next week when McStay returns plus they are playing Richmond tonight? What am I missing?
I questioned this a couple days back but still there are over 13000 people bringing in skinner?
I thought Ballenden the better option as coach said he is taking second ruck archie smith position..
Hope i am not missing something either ?
Providing both are named who to trade to Bell?
Tu Bennell
TD Buddarick
Like many, I have used maximum number of trades every week until now. Even with the extra 4 trades, I’m concerned about not having enough left to cover SC finals, especially with 10 teams still to have byes after Rd12.
So, how confident are we that extra trades will be added again when additional bye rounds are announced?
TU Don’t worry. Extra trades are definitely coming
TD Don’t count on getting more trades
Does anyone know when Sturt will be back?
Ideally would leave him in my side if he was back soon.
T/U Sturt to Draper
T/D Budarick To Draper
Sturt will be our for a little while it seems.
Flog him off for Draper.
What is everyone doing with Pittonet?
TU – Hold and trade to Goldy/ Gawn after they drop in price
TD – Trade this week to Draper (and trade out Taylor and Smith for Duncan and Stewart)
Btw could still get duncan and stewart by trading parfitt or simpkin instead of pitt
TU for this option!
I’m going Pittonet to Goldy. Would love Gawn!
But that extra 170K upgrades another rookie for me.
Trying to get to full premo before finals.
Why is Sparrow not getting talked about much? I know only 184k is downside but 11 CBA (same as Viney) and Adelaide this week. Am I missing something?
Y is there no blue dot on Freo players in SC??
I saw that too but figured it was because my Freo players (Sturt and Hill) weren’t named last week.
TU – Pittonet to draper
TD – Devon Smith to Skinner/Ballenden
hello all, do i bring in
TU – Dusty and Stewart
or
TD – Petracca and Witherden
Who to trade out for Stewart?
TU – Docherty
TD – Doedee
I’m thinking Doherty to Stewart also
Why would either of you be trading out Docherty?!?
In the last month he’s been tagged twice, played one shocker and then looked okay last week. Going to be very useful coming off his bye, especially with that high ceiling. Worst case scenario he’s D6, but I wouldn’t go trading him.
Doedee has also looked good. Consistent but less upside then docherty
Shh Gunboat, let them make basic mistakes, might move me up the rankings!
Neither.
Need a rookie in defence: Sholl (early), Watson (bye this week), or Payne (bris tonight)?
If you won’t have a donut I’d go Tobe Watson.
Looked the goods against the Pies
Abs
5 tackles and very tidy DE, should keep him in the side.
We are seriously down to our last tallish Defender.
Cox is a forward / ruck now playing down back.
He should get a decent run as that 3rd Tall defender.
I’m Jumping on next week.
Best rookies still available that are yet to play this week. Have missed the brisbane rookies
Sam Draper from Bombers
Tobe Watson (has the bye)
Could go early on Sholl from Crows
Bell and Ling from Syd look like they have solid JS, though with the bye next week.
There’s some excitement around Schoenberg and Sholl debuting for Crows, however they have eight changes, so are clearly rotating their 22 through the byes.
Who do trade out
TU: S Hill
TD: J Brander
Hey lads, I have a few bye related questions and wasnt sure where to put them!
Firstly, say you had 16 on field, all forwards playing to 2 on the bench playing, could you get those scores? Or only the maximum of 6 forwards?
Secondly say you have 17 play and one forward and one mid emergencied, what score would it prioritize?
Lastly, say you have 17 play, 2 mids with the E, what score would it prioritize?
Thanks in advance super coach gods.
Hey RIYMP,
Firstly, sadly no.
Anyone have a definitive answer please?
Cheers.
Rance.
Go to your team page.
Above the defenders there’s a message regarding Byes.
At the end click “more info”
Then click the points scoring bar. It shows all the rules in detail. No mention of higher or lower scores ?
I would probably loop as normal to be safe.
Exactly. Got a bit excited at the suggestion it was otherwise.
OK – so definitive from Tim Michell @ SCHQ via Twitter.
“It’s ALWAYS lowest of two.”
Yep .
Bench everyone with a blue dot. ( Bye players )
Then put the E on anyone else benched that might play.
Oh and trade in Stewart, everyone else is doin’ it.
Aarts on my bench with E – cant loophole. Need to downgrade to bring in duncan
TU: Trade rankine for a donut
TD: Trade rankine to Draper
Is Simpkin still, a must have? He will be a 100-150k upgrade from Rankine after this week.
TU: YES! YES! YES!
TD: Nahhh dawg, with a bye to come there will be a better F6 have a look around

So with no byes in Rd 13, and supercoach finals starting in Rd 14 with 10 teams that will be yet to have a bye, carnage awaits! Could be very beneficial to be focusing on trading in players that won’t have a bye through finals.
Eight debutants already this week, and four teams still to be named.
Its like a duck shooting alley at Luna Park !!
