Trade Talk Rd13

Written by Schwarzwalder on June 10 2018

Still the one game to go in Rd12 but I’m sure a few of you are already looking ahead to Rd13. How many players can you field next week? Who’s coming in? Who’s making way?

  1. One still for Monday’s game i’ve been tossing up.

TU – Spargo to McDonald (He will be a top 8 fwd)
TD – No trade and look to bring in another def or fwd next week who will score better

  2. Is it over yet? Scared to open my SuperCoach app…

TU all good, have a look.
TD return back to the bottle.

  3. Only interested in post bye players. Narrows it down to 6 clubs.

Obviously it depends who you’ve already got but for me i’m definitely thinking of throwing my money at Macrae.

Hurn’s also on my radar. He’s a relative POD at only 3.9% ownership, averaging 100 and under 500K.

    1. Macrae going to drop a ton don’t think it’s the right time for him I’d rather gaff as a post bye player right now

      7

      1
  4. Guelfi to wce ainsworth which will hopefully allow nank to Grundy r14. Both bye friendly, then just need hurn to complete team. Spargo is the other trade option but I want his dpp.

    1. Spargo goes big today makes that decision easier for you. Here’s hoping, then I can get rid of Flogarty. Time’s up. Promising future proposition, maybe 2019/20, but not now.

  5. Locked in
    Out: C Spargo, M Guelfi
In: R Gray, J Kennedy (WC)

Leaves me with a forward line post byes of: I Heeney, T McLean, R Gray, M Walters, D Smith, J Kennedy, (J Billings, B Fritsch) with one of Billings/Fritsch to be downgraded to allow M9 and D7 upgrades.

    12

    2
    1. Guelfi stays in my team. One he’s doing ok, 2 he is cover for the last bye, 3 he’s still got cashola to make.

Spargo would need a big output not to be flicked for Ahern, post byes though.

Sadly, the players I had eyes on like Robinson, Lobb etc are all in the injury ward. On the upside means I dodged a few bullets.

      1

      1
      1. Fritsch has looked better as a f7 keeper. 2 90’s and a 110 in last 3. No way Guelfi will go near that.

    1. Depends on whether you are going for overall or league. Options also limited to pies and dees now. If you are going to win your league, wait till next week and options are from 6 clubs.

  6. Thinking of trading TSmith today to get 18 on the park and win a grudge match in my main league.

    Options are:

TU – JSmith 153K, should get games as Lever replacement
TD – Mihocek 102K, more cash made but job security questionable re: Reid
    Comment – Daicos 190K

Of course perhaps the best option could be to take the hit and save the trade???

    1. If the league is your priority, trade. I’m not gonna Davies who tho’ cos whoever I pick will score 30s at the most!!

      1

  7. Jack Billings had 53 and kicked 3 in the magoos, looks a great trade in target next week.
***Note: I don’t condone this, and Billings should never feature in anyones SuperCoach team ever again***

    1. I got rid of him last week..but now im tempted to trade him in ….just so i can trade the bastard back out yet again because it felt that goddam good to do it the first time

  8. Gonna use all three trades on Hibberd, just to make sure that piece of crap is well and truly out of my side.

    35

    0
  9. Doedee, Fritsch and Petracca to Simpson, Westhoff and Buddy? This will mean that I will have 9 trades and 18k left over to upgrade one rookie (Austin/Murphy).

    TU- Do it
    TD- Hold trades / reassess

    15

    4
  10. Out: Ridley / Fritsch / Keefe

In: Hurn / Walters / Redman (needed for cash)

Doedee and L. Austin last 2 upgrades. 9 trades left

    1

    9
  11. Thoughts on Wingard? Looked damn good on Friday and after that performance can see him staying in the midfield or at least finding his All Australian form as a FWD

    3

    8
    1. i have decided to steer well clear of Port and Geelong players for the rest of the year. part of their winning strategy seems to be to alter their set-up each quarter to confuse the oppo on match-ups. For this reason, I reckon that there is just too much uncertainty from week to week, to be confident of getting a consistent score out of any of them.
PORT: think Gray, Rockliff, Boak, Westhoff and Wingard (will score 550 between them but who gets the points?)
GEEL: think Danger, Selwood, Ablett, Menegola, Duncan (will score 600+ between them but who gets the points?)

too hard basket = unnecessary stress = better options = 🙂

      10

      4
      1. Very valid point. However with Walters out this week I need a FWD to field 18 and ideally one who will play out the bye rounds. My thinking is that hopefully Wingard goes up 100k playing a bit more mid then if, as you suggest, his role changes I can sideways trade him.

        1

        0
        1. Walters will only miss the one week (and then of course his bye, but he’d miss that anyway). You’re only therefore missing one score from someone you obviously consider a premo. Do you not have a rookie you can trade out instead to make up 18?
Wingard would be a sideways trade at best.
Flyin Ryan in for a premo is a no-no in my head, given he can’t be considered more than an F7 surely?!?
You must have better options to make up the numbers mate.
Maybe reassess. If I had Walters I certainly wouldn’t be trading him out unless he was sidelined with an LTI (long-term injury).
That said, your team, your call.
Good luck with whatever it is you decide.

          1. Sorry wasn’t clear. Walters is going nowhere haha would be trading out fritsch to get 18 on the park this round. Can afford say a gray or westhoff but I like the idea of something left of field so just chucked the idea of wingard out there to hear people’s thoughts. Much appreciated

  12. Higgins, Doedee and Guelfi Out

Gray, McLean and Giro in (T/U)

    Higgins, Murphy/Duman and Guelfi Out

    JJK, Gray and Giro in

Next week McLean after he drops 20k

    8

    6
  13. Looking to bring in JJK or Ainsworth (GC) now he’s getting more midfield time.

JJK has 5 round average of 81.2, versus Ainsworth’s 89.6.

    Thoughts?

    TU Ainsworth
    TD JJK

    4

    17
    1. Why would you trade Gawn out? The whole point is to get the best players in each position on the field.

      13

      2
      1. The idea is that theoretically Gawn’s statistical output is unsustainable, and trading him to Kruezer will gain cash, points and opportunity to reinvest elsewhere.

        0

        5
  14. Spargo – Bont
    Fritsch – JJK (WC)
Hibberd – Miocheck – really no other downgrade targets in the backline.
    Thoughts?

    3

    8
  15. Simmo and Giro in this week. I know Giro’s not great, but he’ll be manning the mid bench with Ahern and Phillips, so no concerns there.

    Planning ahead though…

    Hurley.
    Hurn
    Andrews.

Only one spot left down back, and I’m really having trouble splitting this mob. Anyone have some insight?

    0

    0
    1. If it’s now I’d go Hurn. I have. If you can wait a little longer I’d be bringing Hurley into the equation. Andrews continues to surprise. A risk and certainly a major POD, I personally wouldn’t, but if you like risk …
      Good luck whatever you decide.

      1

  16. IN: R.Gray + T.McDonald
    OUT: Z.Giles-Langdon + B.Fritsch

Don’t have any other upgrade targets that are playing this week other than Macrae (has high BE so will wait) and Lloyd (can’t upgrade from Austin yet).

    7

    0
  17. Just as they’re hitting good consistent form – it’s time to go Fritsch and Guelfi.

    Out: Fritsch, Guelfi, Spargo
    In: R Gray, Westhoff, Brodie

11 trades left, 21 premos (22 players available this week, 20 next)

    TU: Good trades
TD: Leave the cows in the paddock to fatten up a bit longer

    7

    14
    1. I’d wait on them if you can, though Spargo can safely go

Must be better targets than Westhoff. I own him but his DE% is appalliiiiing! Bit too risky for mine.

      2

  18. I have all 6 playing this week in defence so D7

    Murphy to redman
Has the bye but gives me cover for next week.
    Also gives me 431k ITB

    Hibberd to Sicily
Finally getting rid of this dud
    Leaves me with 313k
This also gives me 18 on the field for this week.
At the moment next week I have 17 on the field so…… I’m thinking

    Doedee to Simpson
Leaves me with 223k and 9 trades

    T/U good trades
T/D come up with something different

    14

  19. Trading out Langdon and Petracca for 2 premo forwards. Already have Gray, Heeney and McLean.
    $1.01 mil for 2 forwards.
    Who should I get?

    0

    0
      1. McDonald is a bit overpriced at the moment, the Hoff appears good value and a big score just around the corner, Walters looks like being suspended so he is out if you need him for this round, Sicily should be in your backline already.

        1

        2
    1. Macdonald and Sicily. If you’ve already got them, swing them forward and get DEFs. Much better options available.

      1

      1
  20. At this early stage of the week it all depends if flying Ryan who is apparently flying at Training and a huge chance to get up this week gets named.

So Tentatively locking in Guelfi, Fritsch, Hibberd out with Gray or Westhoff in, Flyin Liam Ryan and Hurn In.

  21. Thoughts??
Got 9 trades left and 179k in the bank are going to use 2 trades this week.
Im planning to trade out Holman(Swing Spargo into Midfield to get Holman’s cash in foward line) and Fritsch for Gray and Franklin.
Are there any better options? Have 963k to spend from Holman and Fritsch + 179k

    1

    0
        1. McDonald and/or Sicily. If you have either swing them FWD and bring in DEFs. I reckon there are better options down back. You can sort it out later so that you have one back and one forward to maximise their DPP value. Wouldn’t worry about it right now.
Hurn this week and Hurley next are good cheaper options I reckon.
Gray FWD next week will be close to bottomed out. Buddy is cheap now, but has his bye next week.
It’s hard to make precise recommendations without knowing who you have/haven’t got.
          Good luck with it.

          1

          0
  22. Gray and Buddy in?

    Or Gray and McLean in?

I can wait a week on McLean cause of his high BE and Buuddies low BE

    3

    14
      1. On recent form he’s had 3 80’s a 90 and a 110.

Other than Heeney, McLean, Sicily and McDonald, no better forwards out there. And most of us have or plan to get those.

        Maybe Buddy if you squint.

  23. Is this a viable team to have after the byes?

Laird, Lloyd, Simpson, Yeo, Sicily, Webster (Rookie, Rookie)

Bont, Cripps, Titch, Dusty, Danger, Fyfe, Cogs, Parker (Kelly, Rookie Rookie)

    Nic Nat and Gawn (Olango)

Heeney, McLean, Gray, Hoff, Walters, TMAC/Buddy (Fritter, Rookie)

    8 trades left…

Maybe Nic Nat up to grundy and Cogs/Dusty up to MacRae

    10

  24. Will have 19 on the park this round (provided dusty and laird get up) so more preparing for next round with these trades to double upgrade backline. 1st trade will be Spargo or ZLG (BE low but will allow 19 this week if all goes to plan) to ahearn. For the 2nd murphy will be going (got 6 backs already this round but who has better job security going forward after 1 game. Not under the illusion that either will score like they did on the weekend going forward.

    T/U: J.Smith
    T/D: Redman

Currently leaning towards Smith as Levers replacement plus the DPP may or may not come in handy come finals

    22

  25. This follows on from above for the double upgrade the following week. Which 2 defenders should I get. Currently have Laird, Webster, Savage, Shaw.

    T/U: Hurley & Yeo
    T/D: Yeo & Simpson

    Comments: Hurley & Simpson

  26. Out – Brayshaw (FRE), Spargo, O’Meara.
    In – Franklin, Ablett, Ahern.

Got $27.9K in the bank. Decided to go early on Ahern even though he has the bye this weekend. Swapped for Brayshaw who is on the bench.

  27. Can any Carlton supporters tell me if Ed Curnow has been doing any tagging this year or has he been allowed to run around freely in the midfield. His scoring has been very good. Thanks in advance.

    0

    0
    1. He has been asked to line up on some good players over the course of the season but I think Bolton asks Curnow to “play off his man” more so than a hard tag. Im considering bringing him in as well.

  30. 2 up & 1 down this week.

OUT: Z Langdon, J Henry & N Holman (for cash)

    IN: I Heeney, R Gray & B Mihochek (cheap & worst case 102k loophole)

    Thoughts??

    11

      1. Would be great….

Only way I can do that, trade Holman instead of Brayshaw this round……but that gives me one less warm body in R14 on the ground Adam!

        2

        0
    1. If only one option…guelfi to hurn. I have Guelfi but will have to trade him. If it wasnt SC…he stays !! I now understand team balance.

      0

      0
  31. Looking at ditching Guelfi to bring Sicily forward, replace him with Hurn. That brings an extra forward into play.

Second trade will be also a forward, Ryan if named, unsure who if he is not. Maybe Josh Battle but that sets up major carnage next week.

Bloody hell Walters, what did you do that for? Destroyed all my dpp plans in one fell swoop.

    6

    0
    1. As a saints supporter I loved Battle’s game on Saturday but JS is real iffy with Bruce likely back in either this week or post bye. Also I don’t think Paddy is going anywhere barring injury as the club seems to be giving him every chance to prove himself.

      2

      0
  32. Thoughts on Dusty? Likely to miss another week and then has his bye in round 14. Is now the time to jump off ship?

    4

    3
    1. Looks like Dusty might be back this week. I’d only trade if you don’t have Oliver or J Kelly (if so trade next week) and really want to get rid of him as well as needing r14 cover. He could fire in the latter half of the year.

      1

      0
  33. Two trades for me:

    Guelfi – Hoff
    Doedee – Hurn

I’m full premium now with 7 injury/luxury trades left, good for both byes and the goal of eventually turning Mundy into F7/M9 swing (if needed and only if okay with injury trades). My frustration with Fogarty might see him traded to a rookie next week for added cover.

    10

    0
  34. I’m in denial….I dont think i need to trade this week unless the SC Gods say otherwise. Anybody else ? Got ahern and the other possible downgrades dont look inspiring.

    1

    0
  35. TU: Buddy now (460k odd)
TD: M. Robinson next week (503k)

Have 4ish forward promos and eyeing of Tom McDonald for my final spot. Thoughts?

    16

    1
  36. T/U – Petracca, Doedee and Spargo -> McLean, Hurn and Giro

T/D – Petracca, Holman and Spargo -> McLean, Giro and Ryan (if named) + 250k, get Hurn next week

    3

    10
    1. Think ive answered my own question. Bank the 250k for a double Hurn/Oliver upgrade next week. Dont mind me!

      4

      0
  37. Murphy -> taylor (6 defenders this week if laird plays)
Spargo -> ahern (same byes, so no effect)

    +

    T/u. Fritsch -> gray
    T/d. Fritsch -> curnow
    Comment . Anyone, any position

    1

    0
  38. TU: Guelfi, ZGL, Fritsch > JJK, Simpson, Giro gives me 19 this week plus loophole Giro/Coffield and 16 next week before trades. 15.4k spare
TD: Guelfi, Spargo, Fritsch > Simpson, Ahern, Battle. Also would give me 19 with 16 next week but 233k spare for either a double upgrade or getting in Macrae.

  39. I have swapped and changed my Trades all week.

Now thinking of offloading Walters to Heeney the No1 scorer in the Fwds helps me justify Trading Walters and keeping Fritsch and Guelfi.

    Holman to Giro.

Then undecided on my Final Trade
    Spargo to

    T – U Gray

    T – D Hurn Via Sicily

  40. 195K – 15 Trades – Would love to know what your best trade advice this week.
DEF: Laird, Simpson, Shaw, Austin, Doedee, Yeo, (Cole, L Murphy)
MID: Rockliff, Danger, Fyfe, Dusty, Titch, E Phillips, Petracca, Brayshaw, (Spargo, Holman, Cogs)
    RUC: Gawn, NicNat (Olango)
FWD: Heeney, Maclean, Sicily, Buddy, D Smith, Billings, Fritsch (Guelfi, Fritsch)

    1. Fritsch is outscoring both of those guys right now. Unless you’re really desperate to get 18 on the field this week, you may as well hold.

      2

      1
      1. Managed to get 18 on the park by bringing Sicily into the forward line and moving sonny into the midfield allowing me to bench him for Giro. Thanks Chillo.

  41. Hibberd to Simpson and Spargo to JJK giving me 18 on field providing Laird and Dusty get up.
    TU: Do it!
    TD: Look for better options..

  42. Sort of struggling with a trade plan for this week given that my opponent will at maximum have 9 players on field (assuming they use 3 trades).

    My current side looks like:
Def: Laird, Yeo, Webster, Siciliy, Simpson, Doedee (Austin & Keeffe)
Mid: Fyfe, Mitchell, Dangerfield, Cripps, Coniglio, Martin, Walters, Holman (Spargo, Phillips & Barry)
    Ruck: Gawn, Martin (Cameron)
Fwd: Heeney, McLean, Gray, Smith, Christensen, Henry (Fritsch & Smith)

    Trades: 16
    Bank: 42.1k

I am thinking if L Ryan plays to get him back in for Henry (not sure if this is actually a good idea or not though) and then using the cash from that to make an upgrade somewhere but not sure what line or who. Any suggestions?

    1

    1. Frostbite.

I wouldn’t be to worried if your opponent is only going to field 9 ?
      this week. Maybe thats 19?

      As to your trade plans?

I would avoid Giro as your midfield is stacked with R14 Bye players.

Personally I would downgrade Henry to Ahern early. He has the Bye but he should keep his spot He is also DPP and cheaper than Ryan.

Then I would then trade Christensen to JJK or to Hurn (swinging Sicily forward) both have had there bye.

You could also take a punt on one of the Port boys.

Gray would be a” Must Have “if they would only play him in the Midfield!

Wingard is very cheap but can score well with Midfield time also.
Boak and Westhoff have been Ok. but have dropped off with Ryder and Gray back.

Personally I would get Hurn. West Coast look a Top 4 side for sure.

Best of luck whatever you decide.

      Wish I had 16 trades 🙂

        1. Out: Henry and Christensen
          In: Hurn and Ryan

  43. Hi all

Am sitting 1127th overall, have 12 trades left and $39.6k ITB. I have NEVER even reached the top 30,000 before this year!! This is thanks only to the wonderful SCT community. So thanks to everyone on here, especially the contributors for such an extraordinary breadth and depth of content. Truly awesome effort. I’m 1181 points off the TOP spot and have a pretty good team currently (especially for the two remaining byes – bar imminent carnage), but feel I have nothing to lose by going all out from here to try and make up the 107pts/week to catch up. Could drop significantly, but who really cares?! I don’t! I might as well finish 3000th as 11th so taking a few considered gambles (PODs) that if they come off could make up the ground feels like a decent plan.?

    Current team:

DEF: McDonald(FWD), Laird, Yeo, Simpson, Savage, Doedee (Murphy, Mihocek)

MID: Macrae, Fyfe, Mitchell, Cripps, Oliver, Heeney(FWD), Coniglio, Martin (Holman, Spargo(FWD), Fogarty(FWD))

    RUC: Gawn, Nankervis (Olango)

    FWD: McLean(MID), Sicily(DEF), Westhoff(MID), Mundy(MID), Fritsch, Guelfi (Ronke, C Moore)

So rather than going for the safe, ie:
    Hurn or Hurley down back
    Nank to Grundy RUC
    Danger MID (swinging Heeney FWD)

am thinking of getting (over the next couple of weeks):
NicNat, J Kelly (swing Heeney FWD) and Billings/De Goey (swing Sicily DEF) to get to full premo for one less trade, allowing me to get Rockliff/Wingard this week too!
With JSmith, Giro and Ahern looking like semi-decent calves to cover these trades, I should then be in a position to trade under-performing premos or LTIs on an ongoing basis to improve the team with the 5/6 trades left for the run home.

Not really bothered about League wins, but seem to be doing well in 8 out of 9 (am more interested in the performance of the leagues themselves in the overall).

    So, whaddayathink?!

    TU: go for it
    TD: you’re a bleedin’ eejit

    thanks all

    1. Congrats on the rank – I am in a similar situation and also having my best year, largely in part to the great advice I’ve found on this site. You definitely can’t make up ground by picking up the ‘usual suspects,’ so I agree that some unorthodox thinking is required.

      Specifically to your picks:
NicNat – doing well since he had a round off for laying a tackle (3-round of 118), and should do well with more rest – only concern is that they will want him cherry-ripe for September, so could rest him towards the end of the season. Good value compared to Grundy but Grundy has been consistent throughout the year (130k versus maybe an extra 100-110 points? I’m leaning towards value there).

J Kelly – I’m definitely looking at him as well, whether it’s for that M8 spot, or a semi-upgrade from Crouch or Coniglio (not 100% sure on either being top-8).

Billings/De Goey – of the two, most will say go De Goey because Billings burned them to start the year. I am one of those people. I’m not clear though – are you thinking either of these will be F6?

Also, with Rockliff/Wingard, is the intent to use for loophole / bench cover?

      1. thanks mate.

Am thinking NicNat is only going to get better and SHOULD be given more TOG in the back half of the year to build him up for finals = more points. That, and thanks to Nank’s 53 last week I need to offload him NOW since he will lose 20k this week even if he scores 90+! Up against the Cats I wouldn’t be surprised if he scores large, but NicNat with his BE (and having had his bye) provides the best/safest option … and if things do go ok, can be upgraded to Grundy later who is due to drop after his Gawn battle (c.$20k over the next few weeks).
Kelly? I reckon he might just be the highest scoring SC player across all positions from here to season’s end (if his groin doesn’t come back to haunt him). No risk, no reward. I also think Cogs benefits from J Kelly in the side. Apart from Treloar (and maybe Curnow) feel I have 8 of the 10 best MIDs to season’s end (including Danger).
Either Wingard or Rockliff would be quality loophole/bench options but might not necessarily take either and save that trade. More a thought bubble.
De Goey is clearly a talent (mental, but) and Billings is a proven from last year. Couple of mates went and watched him last week in the VFL and Joey Montagna reckons this is just the kick up the arse/confidence boost he needed. Yeah, us Saints are nowhere near where we were last year, but see if he’s the given midfield time this week

as SO many reasonably thought (and selected him) at the beginning of the year, there’s no reason he can’t be a top 6 FWD from here to season’s end (maybe even top4) and what a POD he will be now!

I have no grand illusions that I might make it to the top, but it’ll be a lot more fun having a go, rather than following the herd to full premo and scoring 2400/wk to try and finish top 1000.

Have made so many mistakes this year (while ‘learning on the job’) and am already looking forward to next year.

I say go for it and good luck mate!

Thanks again for such detailed feedback. That just reaffirms my point about the value of this community. Cheers

        1. Fellow saints fan here! Billings burned me earlier in the season but god I would love to ride a return to form from him up the rankings! Such temptation. Very intrigued to see where you go with this as I too am closely considering Billings, Wingard etc… Personally I think for a hail mary attempt it looks mighty good

    2. All my planning has been Nank to Grundy next week but now I’m thinking Nank to NicNat this week instead. Given Nank’s high BE and will likely drop another $20k this round, that’s $180k to get to Grundy that could be spent on other upgrades. It also frees up a slot to trade next week if required.

          1. NicNat is definite value but SIX of his last seven opponents are: Grundy, Goldy, Sandi, then Ryder, Gawn and Martin for SC finals.

His tons this year have come against Sydney (Sinclair), Geelong (?), Kreuz-less Blues, Rich (Nank), Hawks (McEvoy) and St Kilda (Hickey?).

  44. Will Flyin’ Ryan go back to his pre-injury 3 game form? Would love if he could but just a bit dubious. At least he will still make instant cash.

        1. Thanks for the response.

Wasn’t a huge concern, just looking for creative ways to get more playing players on the park

    1. If you trade out a forward (say fritsch), you can slide Sicily forward, O’Connor to defence and Walters in the mids, then trade in a forward. Can only be swapped back through another similar trade in a later round though, which is a downside.

  45. downgrading fritsch to get 18 and fund 3 upgrades next week (hurley, mcdonald, one more)

TU: Liam Ryan (194k) probably better JS
TU: Jarrod Brander (148k) almost 50k cheaper and has F/D DPP

    1. Ryan has better JS and would have stayed in most teams for a while had he not been injured earlier this year.

    2. Why would you upgrade Fritsch???? That’s crazy talk!!!!

Your trading in a possible F6 if you’re skint for trades but lock for F7. Is the upgrade worth it?? His scores since his move to the wing are 90, 65, 98, 87, 87, 111. That last month of footy makes him surely worth keeping.

      1. I upgraded Fritsch for McDonald who has a low BE and if I don’t get him now he will be too expensive in another few weeks, particularly if he keeps the same rate of scoring.

  46. Mason Redman?
    Yes or No?
Know nothing about him except that he’s a 113k rookie who scored a 90 on debut.
    Thoughts?

    1. Think he actually debuted back in 2016 or there abouts. Hasn’t seen much action over the past couple of years.

      1. Dad,

Is getting rid of Doedee, Murphy and Higgins this week, while getting in Ahern, Hurn and Gray plausible?

Leaves me with 19 on field this week

        and 19 next week

Rather than 21 this week and 14 next week.

  47. LMurphy-Ahern (Sicily DPP)
    Holman-Dusty
    Banfield-Rockliff

Leaves just one FWD upgrade to go with Fritsch at F6

    TU – go for it
    TD – not worth it

    1. Hi Dash..

Your backs, Rucks & Forwards look ok ..

I’d probably look at bringing in a premo mid who’s had there bye this week possibly Petracca to a Cripps, Gaff or Bont..

If you bring a premo mid in this week I’d look at bringing McDonald into your backs next week after his bye then you can swing Sicily & McDonald if needed..

Good luck with whatever you decide

  49. Westoff? Yes or No? My forward line has four premos playing this week and by getting westoff I would get 19 on field?

    Yes or No?
    Thanks in advance

  50. who to bring in this week?

    TU: Liam Ryan (WCE)
    TD: Giro +80k

Leaning towards Ryan, but want some opinions, as I’m a bit worried about injuries. Thanks

    1. Can’t get back into the seniors due to form, a mature aged recruit though so expect he should return eventually sometime this season, currently am thinking of trading as i need the cash, however would advise holding. Probs will be back next week to bite you in the ass if you trade him.

      1. ^Agreed. Had a pretty handy game the week and then got dropped. Don’t think any rookies in defence are worthy of dropping him for at the moment.

  52. Olango has been by far my best captain most weeks, but can anyone tell me when he is likely to get a game please?

  53. Future thinking regarding Macrae now that he is injured. If he has done a hammy and is out for 3-4 weeks, then takes a couple of weeks to bottom out in price, that is a long time to leave a space open for him. I also have memories of Crouch coming back from a hammy and then needing another week off, plus his form has not been as strong as before the injury.

    Macrae:
UP – Trade in once price bottoms outs – he is worth the wait.
DN – Pass – it will take too ling for him to bottom out and re-injury/soreness is a concern

  55. BILLINGS was one of most popular choices at start of season. He is now $317k. For coaches who are low on trades and cash but wish to trade out a rookie from forward line, is Billings a realistic option at F6? In other words:

Will Billings average 85+ for remainder of season?

    3

    4
    1. i’m hoping so. am looking to perhaps bring him in after his bye. let’s see how he goes this week with a BE of 65 (just below his ave), he shouldn’t go up too much unless he gets 130+ (highly unlikely).
saints need to win and he needs a big first-team performance to give me any real confidence in the trade; his 50+ possies and 3 goals against lowly Frankston in the VFL doesn’t really cut the mustard for me.

  56. My current mids are: Fyfe, Danger, TMitch, Oliver, Cripps and Cogs. Two places left and I like durable players who will play every game. Who should I be looking to bring in over the next couple of weeks?

  57. Would Savage to Webster after the rd 14 bye be a worthwhile trade for about 60k extra. Savage at d6, have 15 trades and looking at one fwd and one mid till full premo

TU – Yes (unreliable scorer to a top 6)
    TD – No (sideways trade)
