  1. I am conceding defeat in Supercoach this year.

    This year I am cursed.

I have to replace Duncan and money’s not an issue. However, I am now going to trade on the basis of whether I like how they go about it.

I am bringing in Libba this week.

Probably next week I will trade in Draper for either Reeves/Treacy/CCJ

    1. Stuff it.

Going Draper this week and out goes Downie who I have held and held and held AND HELD SOME MORE!!

Reeves playing in the VFL and getting beaten by Phillip’s means he probably won’t get a game soon but he can be R3 for now and I have both Treacy and CCJ in the forward line.

  2. Need to take some risks to still be able to get to full premo and make the top 8 in my league. Thinking of:

    Duncan -> Pendlebury
    McCreery -> Dangerfield/Hind/Bolton

Or do I just say f**k it, get the best scorers in and risk not having the cash to get to full premo soon enough:

    Duncan -> Lyons/Steele/Parish/Walsh

TU for option 1, TD for option 2.

  3. Assuming Grundy is back, I’m gonna have to regretfully cash in Flynn early so I can upgrade Lachie Jones to Lachie Neale.

    1. I’ll say wait cause Brisbane is versing Geelong and Geelong might use O’Connor to play tagging role on Neale.

      11

  4. What chances of Luke Edward getting his third match?

    TU: high he will

TD: He will play but once he does doesn’t do well he will be omitted

  5. 9 trades left boys $272k spare. First thought is downgrading mccreery or waterman to Briggs to allow me to do jones to Lloyd. Let me know what you guys think or what trades I should do!
Def – laird, mills, Stewart, Daniel, Ridley, jones (bianco, Murphy)
Mid – bont, Oliver, macrae, Steele, Merrett, Walsh, Taranto, Cripps (brockman, Edwards, Newcombe)
    Ruck – gawndy (reeves)
Forwards – Zorko, hall, zieball, dusty, weightman, Coleman jones (waterman, mccreery)

    1. Boys………..?

This isn’t just a platform for boys Charlie. I’m a girl and i love supercoach. I rarely post in here but i read a lot of comments and love all the content. I’d really appreciate if you didn’t refer to everyone as boys thankyou.

You have a really good team, i think i would get rid of cripps and bring in neale, or maybe pendles as a bit of a pod to allow another look at neale against the cats this week.

      1. Sorry my bad Chantelle! Glad to have you and any other females on board, think Cripps will be my last luxury trade. Before that I’ll try get full premo I think

      2. 19 downvotes suggest the boys are not happy with you Chantelle. Get out of their club..!!

  6. 6 trades left 442K in the bank.

Looking at Jordan to Neale but tempted to wait a week until after he might have a tag from O’Connor.

Was planning to go Heeney to Danger this week. Danger will drop more this week but Heeney has port this week and the way he’s going there’s a chance of a negative score. I’ve already got Ziebell, Martin, Zorko, Bolton.

It’ll leave me with just Weightman and Jones on field and about 139K in the bank with the 4 trades.

    Thoughts or alternatives?

  7. Zorko still be getting big scores with Neale on the rise?
TU Yes he’s a beast, many 100+ to come
TD Neale will be taking too many of his points now stay away!

    29

    10
  8. And then bring in
    TU: Parish
    TD: Lyons
    TU Comment: Neale
    TD Comment: Stewart
    TU Comment Comment: Mills
    TD Comment Comment: Zorko
    Comment: Anybody else

  9. A much easier way now I know what trades I wanna do. 9 trades, 3 premo players left to go. Do I use one straight trade to get jones to Whitfield or use two trades and get jones to Lloyd.
    TU – Whitfield (one trade)
    TD – Lloyd (two trades)

    41

    4
  10. With one premium mid and one premium forward left to go :

    TU: Neale this week
    TD: Bolton this week

Thinking as my F6 (Weightman) is better than my M8 (Bianco) that filling that final mid spot is the way to go.

    13

    16
    1. Bolton is DP so just use him as M8 until you are ready to complete your team if you think Weighman is better then Parish

      1

      0
  11. Pendlebury…..??

Looks like he may have found a quarterback role down back.

is he worth bring in at 425k and breakeven of -29??

T/U – Yes, super value will score 90-95+ for rest of season at m8
T/D – No, role is not stable new coach may have other ideas. steer clear.

    thanks team

    1. I’m getting him in but my hand has been forced, it’s a big risk for me but it may pay off and it’s almost my only way to still get to full premo and make finals in my league. His bad scores this season have only come when he was playing up forward. When he’s playing midfield, he’s averaging 105ish. As a Pies fan, I highly doubt he goes back forward, especially with McCreery and Elliot back. I can only see him playing midfield or half back for the rest of the season, and both of them should translate to decent scoring.

I’d only do it if you absolutely need to take the risk.

      10

      0
      1. Perfectly said mate, i’m in the same boat as you and am willing to take the risk. although getting on he is in the top 5 sc scorers of the last decade. If you think hes unlikely to go back forward i think hes a very good trade.

        4

  12. A lot of people jumping on Lachie Neale.

Just to highlight the fact that he won’t play North Melbourne every week who traditionally give up big scores to the oppositions premier midfielder.
I.e. Josh Kelly the week before.

    26

    2
    1. Hey Shaggi, have to disagree with your comments. Nth didn’t allow the Bont, McCrae, Oliver and others to go big.

      2

      2
      1. Think the reason they didn’t have huge SC scores either is due to the game becoming a blowout quite early, therefore all stats carry less weight due to having lesser influence on the overall result

        1

        0
    2. Recent midfield scores v Nth (last four games):

      Neale 156
      Lyons 141
      Jelly 147
      Steele 154
      Dunstan 131
      Brouch 126
      Parish 152
      McGrath 123

      9

      0
  13. DEF – Laird, Whitfield, Short, Daniel, Lever, Jiath (Jones, Highmore)
MID – Parish, Macrae, Guthrie, Kelly, Merrett, Petracca, Taranto, Mundy (Bianco, Macrae, Newcombe)
    RUC – Gawn, Hickey (Reeves)
FWD – Zorko, Ziebell, Martin, Impey, Poulter, Madden (Ralphsmith, Briggs)

7 trades left with $131,800 remaining

I’m thinking of doing 2 trades this week and then waiting at least 3-4 weeks before making another trade.

    I was thinking:
    OUT – Jones and Poulter
IN – Luke Edwards (via. Bianco DPP) and Bolton

Which leaves me with $46,900 left.

I could wait a week to let Poulter’s price rise, but with Edwards looking to be a rookie with some security on his selection, as well as Jones hurting his hammy, I think that might be the best opportunity for me to upgrade to Bolton. Don’t want to risk waiting a week and having no real third-gamer options left.

My plan from that point is to wait, so I can let rookies like Bianco, Highmore, Madden, Edwards and Newcombe rise as much as they can in the next 4 weeks. Reason being is the ideal situation that is for Dunkley to be my last premo upgrade. He’s predicted to come back in about 4-6 weeks. Madden I hope continues to get some game time and that he can peak around that same time Dunkley returns. If that does all work out (which I won’t assume things straight up knowing how things have gone this year), I’ll have 3 trades left during the Supercoach finals to possibly fix a mid-pricer like Jiath, Lever or Impey if I need to, so I can really give myself a fighting chance.

  14. Looking for last midfield spot!!

    Current mids are
Macrae Oliver Steele Merrett Mitchell Walsh Taranto

Was thinking Bont, Lyons or Neale (Bris good run home)? Or other ? Suggestions please

    2

    0
    1. No bad option there, Fish.

Dogs and Lions both have juicy runs home.

Completely up to you. Bont if you want to shield against the 33% of teams who have him or Lyons/Neale as a POD.

      4

  15. Second question is which rookie on bubble better to get in?

T/U L. Edwards (better scoring but will he play?)

T/D Newcombe (bad last round but looks like getting another game according to Clarko)

Note – Bramble following week if still playing

    1

    14
  16. T/u – Trade LJones to 102k non playing rookie and Weightman to Danger this week, completing team.
T/d – Trade LJones to Edwards this week. Weightman to Danger next week, completing team.

    3

  18. Really tough run home and trades getting tight. Recruit Gray injury not what I needed. Can hold Gray for next week by covering with Treacy.

    T/u Gray to Sidey
T/d Cripps (finally) to Neale while I can.

    7

    22
    1. I honestly think Cripps will have a good round against the Crows and then has the Dockers the following week.

I’m holding due to 3 injury trades remaining (at the sake of my sanity) but I don’t mind their run home.

      2

      1
      1. Eh, the fact that he still couldn’t ton with Walsh tagged is troubling.

I’d sack him if you have the trades.

        24 touches at 50%. Yikes.

        1. He copped De Boar in the last quarter, got held to two handballs…..

The one player I kept saying “next week” on And has caused that much frustration I’m most likely stuck with….

          1. Im in the same boat as you buddy,

But i kept saying next week all week and got to his bye week and even said Next week then.

Iv lost faith hoping he will come back and going to Neale even tho he will get tag this week. Id rather risk a Neale getting tagged then Cripps against crows tbh.

You will probs sleep better with Cripps out, trust me and Get Him Out.

  19. Assuming Grundy is fit and is picked this week, who scores more for the rest of the year;

    T/U: NicNat
    T/D: Grundy

    11

    25
    1. Hey, Froff.

Hard to split them. Looking at their runs might help you decide:

Grundy’s run home: Dockers, Saints, Tigers, Port, Eagles, Hawks, Lions & Dons

Nic Nat’s run home: Dogs, Swans, Roos, Crows, Saints, Pies, Dees, Dockers & Lions

Grundy with the softer opp. ruck run, but Nic Nat in deadly form.

I voted Nic Nat, but I’m obviously biased lol.

      Good luck.

      4

      0
      1. Yeah think it will all come down to how Robert Harvey selects his side once Grundy comes back.

If Lynch holds his spot as number 2 ruck then I may go with NicNat.

        2

        0
    2. Nic Nat a bigger chance of getting rested for a game. Outside of that possibility, I think they’ll have similiar scores from here.

  20. M8 last spot:

    TU: Walsh
    TD: Neale

I don’t mind Sam’s run home, not like anyone else at Carlton is stepping up enough to take his points.

  21. M. Duncan -> Nick Haynes

Next week bringing back Grundy to complete my
    Team.

3 trades for injuries remaining after next week!

Was looking at CJ as well, but I think if Haynes keeps his current role he’s a weapon.

    6

    3
    1. I got him last week, very happy so far.

He plays the Hawks this week. They gave up pretty big scores to defenders Hind and Ridley. I think he tons up this week.

  23. I can feel Shaggies pain like its mine, for what its worth in my opinion and yes its – only an opinion , Clarko has to play Reeves, big boy and ceglar both north of 30, neale can not handle the tag, danger is now probably fitter than a lot of banged up midfielders, and Razor-Ray is the biggest flog to ever grace our game.

TU: Trade in Bolton and trade out Daniher to strengthen the forward

TD: Get Oliver in Mid instead

  25. Hey guys. Really need some help with trades here. Probably looking to bring in danger or maybe hold out a week.
    Team is as follows
Def: Laird, mills, Stewart, Whitfield, short, Ridley, (highmore)
Mid: bont, Lyons , zorko Walsh, zerrett, Boak, taranto, Brayshaw ( Bianco Newcombe)
    Ruck: Gawndy (reeves)
Fwd: Ziebell, Langford, hind, dusty, impey, CCJ ( madden)
    Any help appreciated

    1. How much $$$ and trades do you have in the bank?

If you’ve still got a few trades left then maybe trade impey. get a primo mid and move Zorko Fwd.

      0

      1
        1. Maybe best to sit tight. Impey, CCJ, Highmore and weighman are your best trade out candidates and all have $ to make

          0

          0
            1. You never listed that you had Cripps.

I’d go Cripps + Impey (approx 880K) to a 600K mid and a 100-120k rookie. Gives you 100-150K in the bank. Move Zorko Fwd

For Mids i’d look at Steele, Miller and Wines. They are in the lower end of that 600k club. which will give you more cash in the bank and a reduced risk of losing too much money

That leaves you with better Primo’s and one rookie on field (CCJ) at F6 and enough cash to go CCJ + Highmore to danger in a few weeks once they make more cash

              1

              0
              1. Yeah I like this but I might want to keep impey at this point, just looking to get rid of cripps mainly and CCJ, instead of impey averaging 90

  26. My older brother cycled over on Saturday…we were all to have a couple of quiet drinks to celebrate bros 80th birthday….Dad generously opened a case of 1973 French something and we settled in.
All was going well until Dad suddenly went into convulsions and sprinted out the door yelling “why me”, over and over after Robbie Gray went down…..he hasn’t been since…Dad that is.
Should I report him as a missing person ? Or just leave the cellar open and hope Dad finds his way home ??

  27. Which luxury trade is better?

    TU: Bowes > Stewart/Whitfield
    TD: Taranto > Neale

Current Backs: Laird, Lloyd, Short, May, Ridley, Bowes

Current Mids: Bont, Parish, Oliver, Macrae, Miller, Steele, Walsh, Taranto

Really starting to lose patience with Bowes after seeing him swung forward late against Port. Was hoping I could hold him to save a trade but I think he might need to go. Keen to get your opinions on this one. Cheers.

    14

    0
    1. I have Bowes too. He’s just been losing money. I’m getting off him before he becomes priced like a bad rookie. at least Taranto is holding his 500k value

  28. Mostly completed team, players I’m not too sure about are

DEF: Jiath (have L.Jones on the pine too)
    MID: Cripps
    FWD: Impey, Heeney, CCJ

    10 trades left, $109k ITB

    Thinking this week
    Cripps -> Petracca/Neale

    TU: Petracca
    TD: Neale

  29. People say they have a full premo team, where are you putting the cutoff for a premo player $350K -$450k -$600K.

    1

    0
    1. 500k unless they are a fallen premium that is currently under 500k but expected to peform like a 500k player

      4

      0
  30. 6 trades left.

1 x FWD to upgrade to get to full premo + need to sideways trade Robbie Gray soon due to injury (brought him in 5 minutes before the game on the weekend *facepalm*) – targeting DANGER next week once his price bottoms.

NEALE looks tempting, but I’m already full premo in the midfield. Thoughts on sideways trading Brayshaw to NEALE this week?

TU: YES – Neale is a superstar after all.
TD: No/not yet – Get to full premo first, then assess options in a few weeks if enough trades are left

    1

    26
  31. Will josh treacy and Coleman Jones both reach 300k? If they do I can complete my side using 2 more trades and have 2 remaining for injuries.

    10

    0
    1. I guess my punt earlier this year wasn’t so stupid in hindsight grabbing him.

He will be up and down / also a serious risk of missing games.

Think there’s better more stable options, with Shiel returning soon I think those mid minutes will be cut.

I think it’s a point chasing right now and look how that turned out for Heeney owners.

Look elsewhere IMO. Spend the extra bit and get someone stable (especially with trades dwindling for most)

  33. i have 4 trades left after this week, 2 premos left to get – one midfielder, one forward

    do i –

t/u use all trades to full premo but have nothing left for injuries

t/d play a premo short and keep 2 trades for injuries

have powell or CCJ to keep if taking second option

    2

    26
    1. Red I am in a similar scenario with trades and upgrades required.
At this stage I’m looking at saving a couple trades and keeping CCJ as F6. He could fall over or get dropped when Lynch is back so if that happens then you can make a more informed decision with more cash from his price increases later on.

      2

      0
    1. I’m torn on this decision too.
Toby always sucks me in then disappoints..may do yet again as he looks good
But then Stringer looked awesome plus midtime?

      0

      0
      1. Stringer only really makes sense as a high floor Cash Cow. if you just want to get in and hope he has 2 decent scores for a 50-80k price rise then it might be worth it.

Dylan Sheil is due back soon and he’ll get a bunch of that mid time

        2

        0
    2. As someone that jumped on stringer early in the year and watched a lot of him. You’re gonna be in for a roller coaster that can at any point get derailed.
Also feels like a point chase, he was amazing against us, he won’t do that every week.

Toby a more expensive version of the roller coaster with a much higher floor.

I still think my Super POD Tarryn Thomas is a shout. Has been amazing to watch, great role and skills to back it all up..

  34. Rookie downgrades very thin!! Looking at Bramble possibly next week but for this week is Newcombe best option as guaranteed to play compared with the likes of Edwards, Foley , Briggs with players coming back? Even if play this week more likely out next round anyway?

    T/D no

  35. Bolton or Zorko to finish off the side. Note: not doing it this week as I am already bringing in danger.

    2

    2
      1. Pendlewood have to agree joemama here. Zorko is very high in his price cycle.
Significant funds saved by going Bolton

        2

        0
          1. Hmm the only player in Walsh’s price range I’d want is Fyfe, but I’m not sure if he’s back this week. I was initially looking at Pendles, but I’m kinda leaning towards getting the best scorer I can, and worrying about other upgrades later.

            3

            0
              1. Neale is a bit more expensive, and if I’m getting someone at his price, I may as well spend the extra ~30k and get Lyons/Steele. I’m also not completely sold on Neale yet, I can’t entirely trust a score vs North Melbourne and I think he’ll cop an O’Connor tag this week.

I’m tossing up between Lyons and Walsh/Fyfe because the price difference between them means I’ll have enough cash for it to be a needle mover and actually make a difference.

                2

                0
                  1. 9 trades left, 4 rookies onfield. Duncan is my must trade this week, he’s the one I’m getting either Lyons/Walsh/Fyfe in for.

Getting Lyons in gives me the best scorer and probably the best chance to win my league games and make top 8. Getting one of the other two in gives me cash in hand for more comfortable upgrades moving forward.

It’s a dilemma, especially because this year I’ve made mistakes and my new motto is “get the best premo in, worry about cash later”, but with only a few trades left now, it becomes a harder choice.

  36. Hi All, hopefully everyone survived the week of hell (round 14)
Last week my trades were Jordon, Poulter and Byrnes > Newcombe, Greene and Langford

I don’t know whether to make trades this week or hold so any trade advice/feedback would be greatly appreciated. If I was to make any trades it would be to a MID so I can move Langford into the FWD.

    I have 10 trades left, $29,900 ITB

DEF: Laird, Lloyd , Mills, Stewart, Whitfield, Short (Kosi, L.Jones)
MID: Oliver, Macrae, Jelly, ZMerrett, Titch, Walsh, Langford, Newcombe (Bianco, Brockman, Downie)
    RUC: Gawn , Reeves (Grundy)
FWD: Ziebell, Martin , Greene, Impey , Madden, Weightman (Treacy , Waterman)
    Cheers!!

  37. If L. Edwards is named I would think of Waterman to him via Langford for some cash. Our next few weeks might be in the hands of Clarko. Newcombe and Bramble getting another game and/or Brockman and Downie ever getting a game.

  38. Trading Jones to Edwards via DPP, and i have to replace Duncan.

Money isnt and issue, but still struggling on who to choose.

Iv narrowed it down to 2 people iv regretted not starting.

TU – Walsh, save the extra cash for future upgrades.

TD – Steele, spend extra for steele, he is worth it.

  41. Hey fellas,
Would love an opinion or two on this conundrum:

Ranked roughly 500th, 8 trades left, complete team except for R2 (Gawn, Reeves, Treacy).

    Should I:
Downgrade L Jones to L Edwards and bank myself some cash to get Grundy in a few weeks when Treacy fattens up, copping his scores as R2 in the meantime … OR

Complete my team now with L Jones to 102k rookie, and upgrade F7 Daniher to the lump of a lad and future ruck staple Mr Sean Darcy.

Thanks guys, truly stumped with this. Never ask for help otherwise.

    2
    1. First off, great name lol and congrats on the rank.

I think you’ve got enough trades (8) to get Grundy in and still have some injury trades.

Only go Darcy/Daniher if you intend to sideways/luxury trade some underperforming premos, otherwise grab Grundy. Take it you’ve got other live cows besides Treacy to supply funds.

      Good luck.

    2. What about Amartey on the bubble? A bit more expensive but looked good before the bye. Might help make a quick $70-100k to go up to Grundy.

      2

      0
      1. I initially dismissed Amartey because of his cost but I have reassessed. His numbers in the other formats have been very good so if he can tidy up a few things he could be on the verge of a breakout score. Plus he has the R/F capability which goes very well with CCJ thus providing emergency ruck backup. I will swing one of them to R3 when/if Reeves fattens up a bit.

  42. Forwards are currently Zorko, Dusty, Ziebell, Hawkins, Impey plus 3 rookies so want to fill my final premium spot.

    TU: Bolton / Hall
TD: Danger – even though he has a high BE of 138 and will be cheaper next week, I won’t have a spot for him (baring injury and poor form) if I use my final forward spot on Hall or Bolton this week. Unsure if he is a must have.

I do have one mid spot to finish so could trade Danger (or Bolton) into the mids but would rather that last spot for Bont, Lyons or Neale.

    Would love some thoughts….

    6

    3
    1. Personally, I’d be tossing up between Danger and Bolton, and forgetting about Hall.
I’d be waiting a week if you can afford to. Bolton’s BE is around 90 this week I think, so if he scores 120ish his price isn’t going to rocket… and it’s worth another look at Danger before bringing him in I think, especially with Duncan now out

      5

      0
    2. Lisa, we are both looking for a fwd prem..me because of Gray. I have Hall. I’m also considering Sidebottom and Greene (Lambert Heeney and Wingard). Danger just looks too dear still….get him for Weightman soon as my final upgrade. I’ve asked for opinions myself below.

      0

      0
      1. Impey not necessarily a keeper but may need to be my F6 – will be the last one I trade if I have any left. Temptation is always there though to offload him however his 109 on the weekend keeps him in my team for now.

  43. Is it worth trading Jack Bowes (404k) > Nick Haynes (366k)? Would leave me with a bit extra in the bank and Haynes looks to have his old role back which would probably mean better scoring potential.

    TU: Yes, do it
    TD: No, not worth it

    11

    8
    1. Are we sure bowes scoring is gone? Is he getting a more permanent fwd role or was it just coz gold coast were getting smashed by port

      1

      0
      1. Stuart Dew threw the magnets around in the last quarter against Port so I don’t expect to see Bowes in the forward line this week, although he was quite effective when moved which is a little worrying. I’m concerned with his scoring potential because he’s lost his kick outs to Lukosius and Powell and seems to be playing a defensive lockdown type role. Bowes doesn’t seem to be getting the cheap kicks out of defence anymore and it has really impacted his scoring the last couple weeks. I’m personally leaning towards trading him out as I don’t think he can average 90+ for the rest of the year in his current role.

        3

        0
        1. …..for what it’s worth (ATM, probably not much….LOL), i’m doing it for the same reasons, but i’m sliding Laird back from mid….. then trying to decide who to get to replace him.!?!?!?

          2

          0
    2. I’m a lukosius holder and was terrified bowes would mean lower lukosius scores, but the opposite seems to be happening. It just depends on the roles that Dew wants, but my boy again seems to be the main distributor and kicks 10 times to each handball which makes for good scoring from modest possessions.
your idea is a bit of a luxury trade, but Haynes def looks to have turned it around so if you have spare trades..why not.

      1

      0
          1. My biggest concern about going Bowes > Haynes is that I’m basically trading him out for a player who still has a bit of a question mark as to whether they’re going to be a genuine premium.

At this rate I’ll have 3 trades left after my team is full premium, maybe it’s best to hold Bowes for now and try and get my hands on someone like Mills or Stewart later. Just not all that confident Bowes can hold his price with the role he’s been playing.

            Very torn on this one.

            2

            0
            1. Yeh tough one, Im on 6 trades with flynn and ccj my only upgrades left.
Might wait a few rds to decide whether bowes or impey is more important to trade.
My only issue is bowes losing more cash. But all it takes is one good score i guess, and look what happened to jiath so I guess ill be holding, but if i had 8 trades id consider pulling the trigger for sure.

  44. My new recruit Gray is doing my head in. The extra trade he is costing me was going to be used on that blue stain Cripps. The options I have considered are Sidey, Greene, Lambert, Wingard and a hail mary Heeney.

T/u Sidey (dpp and wont get suspended)
T/d Greene (higher upside but hold your breath)

TU Lyons (leaves 1 mid spot for Bont/Neale)
TD Dangerfield or Bolton (Leaves 2 Fwd spots for who knows)

    14

  47. 3 to go to fill my team, 2 forwards and 1 mid.
    Mids – Newcombe/Edwards at M8
    Fwds – Weightman / CCJ at F5 & F6

Initially thinking of getting Neale but not sure if that leaves me vulnerable in the forward line…… and it does all depend on what rookies are available this week!

    TU: Mid first, get Neale
TD: Fwd first, get Danger / Bolton

    1. Geelong: O’Connor
      GWS: De Boar
Hawthorn: Worpel (done a job on Andy Brayshaw)
Melbourne: Harmes (took Libba out few weeks back)
West coast: Hutchings (still getting a job?)
Carlton: Curnow (hasn’t been utilised this season)
      North: Kayne Turner
      Collingwood: Greenwood (barely played 2021)
      Sydney: Hewett
      Fremantle: Serong

  50. Hey everyone!

I’ve got 39k in the bank, 6 trades left. I am 2 fwds away from full premo. Currently I’ve got Weightman and CCJ as F5, F6.

I know that getting to full premo is the way to go, but I can’t help but want to upgrade Cripps to Lyons and roll with CCJ as my F6.

    Current MID:
Macrae, Oliver, Steele, Merrett, Mitchell, Walsh, Taranto, Cripps

Would love some advice as to whether there is any sense in moving Cripps before going full premo.

    Thanks everyone!
    Julian

    1. Tom Lynch is only 2 weeks away, as good as he’s been no guarantee CCJ plays the year out.

Maybe roll with that, but be sure to have a contingency if he does somehow lose his place in the side.

      1. Thanks for the advice. I think that may be a better route to go. I can always try and sideways trade or upgrade Cripps come finals with my last couple trades.

  51. I have one upgrade to go in defence. Was thinking L Mac from north in a 2 wks or so. Will drop 100k + and should be fully match fit by then and going at an ave of 90+?

  52. Quick question and not sure where to post it. I am not a herald sun / Supercoach subscriber. I have had access to all the data on the Supercoach app for the whole season but not the news/advice sections.
As of this week, I have now lost access to all the Supercoach subscriber data features.
I’m not complaining because I not a subscriber and feel lucky to have had it in the first place..
Has this happened to anyone else?

TU: Yes – I lost access to all the cool data this week as well.
TD: Must of been a bug in the system. How the hell did you get access to this stuff without a subscription for this long?

  53. Not trading this week.

5 trades left – I usually keep 3 for injuries but with 9 rounds to go and players going down like nine pins in a longer year with less rotations – I reckon I might need more this year. Have been averaging well over 1 injury per week and need to take that into consideration..

2 forwards away from a dubious full team with some underperformers like Cripps in it.

I have Weightman and CCJ as well as Madden and Treacy – All still have money to make so will bide my time for now and keep my twitchy trade finger away from the green button.

    6

  54. Have the 6 trades left with the one upgrade left for full premo. Considering tarranto to neale and Jones to edwards.

      1. Hey Abs.

I like your comment in the Coaches box.

It so easy to forget something after reverse trading.

If you have SC Plus the Optimise button ( to the right of reverse trades )is well worth a look.
Try it after reversing trades. , Just watch out as it changes Captains and may put injured players on the Bench.

It was a game changer during the Byes.

        Best of luck.

By the way.. I rate Haynes , got him last week 🙂

    1. If you’re already at full premo and willing to cop Neale getting taken by O’Connor this week, then yeah.

By the end of the season Neale will have put Taranto away comfortably.

But get to full premo before sideways-ing, Jake.

  55. Hi peoples my first comment this is a great forum is anybody thinking about getting Rowan Marshall in this week if picked.

    1

    0
    1. Thanks Paul.

      On Mr Marshall.

      He still has a BE of 138. ( coming off a 43.)

A projected score of 94 sees him drop $20K this week.

He has missed a lot of football, and you would expect him to spend the majority of his time forward, as he works his way back into match fitness.

I would wait a week at least, if not two.

Try and find the extra cash for Danger if you really want a forward this week. He has a high BE 136 ( maybe slightly cheaper next week.) but he loves playing Brisbane and I think he will come pretty close.

      Best of luck.

    2. Hi Paul, Rowan Marshall has a BE of 138 so you could watch how he goes this week after his injury? He will play.
If he scores about 100 he will drop approximately $19k, then the 107 drops out of his 3 game cycle but the 43 remains so he will drop again. All depends on your circumstances and if willing to risk a very good player who has had injury concerns this season.

I have an eye on him as my last forward spot with Dangerfield. Going to evaluate after this round who to take.

Good luck with whatever you decide

  56. Is Bowes a must trade this week? i’d like to bring in Bolton but that would also involve going a bit early on Madden. I have 9 trades remaining with 2 more premos to a complete side (bar having Impey and Bowes still).

TU – Straight swap Bowes to Mills
TD – Jones to Edwards + Madden to Bolton

I would like to wait and see with Bowes but the 99be is big cause for concern.

  57. Hi fellow SCs

    Cheers!!

    1. Hey JJ.

Doesn’t look like you can get to any decent mids with that bank this week.

Kosi, Weightman and Madden all have more cash to make so should be kept for this week at least.

If you want to set yourself up for next week.. I would look at trading Jones or Waterman down to a rookie. This should make it easy to 1 up 1 down next week to a decent Mid Premo or even a cheap Danger.

      Best of luck.

      2

      1. Thanks FT, I was thinking of downgrading Waterman last week but I didn’t then Jones injured his hamstring. Which one out of the two would you trade out? (I’ll most likely turn them in Bramble)

  64. Impey going down with injury has made things more difficult for me getting to full premo. I am now tossing up between the following and would like to know what the community would prioritise.

    Impey and Jones to:
TU: to 2 mid pricers (e.g. McKay and Haynes – which would have to be keepers.)

TD: a rookie and a premo (e.g. Merrett, Wines) – only downfall of this is I would likely finish the year with one rookie on the field due to limited trades (a Weightman or CCJ type)
