Only making one trade this round, and that’s Impey going out sadly. If I had more trades, I would’ve been happy to downgrade a rookie early to get someone better. But I only have 5 left, and I want to save trades as much as I can before I can bring in Dunkley for my final upgrade.
Only have $450k to replace him when I take Impey out, and I think these two are the only ones I can choose from to replace him.

Franklin has more upside but tex has that same sort of Ceiling and I would say based off his performance so fare this season he is probably the better pick, but Buddy is one of the best forwards all-time for a reason, but Jake stringer could be an option if you think he can keep up this sort of form, and he has been in the guts a lot lately

Yeah with that sort of a team you can probably afford to trade Bolton to danger, and nic nat to grundy. I’m just concerned about keeping daniher on the field.
I would say that you get grundy in before danger, as he is still cheap
Maybe something like
Nic Nat -> Grundy
Impey -> Stringer or Pendlebury depending on how much cash you have,
and you can probably trade Bolton out later and then bring in clarry, but if you’re keeping Highmore, where will you get the cash?
Bowes has been really disappointing and I’m honestly considering moving him on to try and fast track getting Danger and Grundy.
Highmore on the other hand looks like he’s really found his place in the Saints backline. This leads me to the following question….

Bianco is probably the one you want to get off first as CCJ has been playing really well, and has more upside. I mean, he got 67 in a game when his team got 2 goals, playing as a forward

Is Weightman on the bench? If so he is probably one to trade in a week or two when Bianco makes some more money

Yeah in a week or two him and Bianco are probably your best bet. you will probably have to end up with CCJ staying on field, which given his form might not be bad
What to do with bowes (have highmore who i looped on field thus week and benched bowes)

Don’t think trading the 3rd best back in Lloyd is the smartest idea, he had one bad game other then that his the most consistent bloke. Definitely second option

Just had a heinous last quarter. An out on the full, a F50m penalty and a couple clangers – all of which were scaled harshly in a close match. Had 24 touches, but only the 1 mark owing to the tight contest and wet weather.
Still a Top 6 DEF and this is his first score below 95 this season.
Find another way to get Bont. Don’t cut off your nose to spite your face.
Yeah thanks for that guys, I really just want Bont and looking at my side now Lloyd is the easiest way to get there. Still a long time left in the season and I’m playing for league. So will complete the team with danger this week and go from there.

2 trades left with no cash in the bank can be a problem. If a Premo goes down you may have to go 1 up 1 down just to replace them with someone decent. If waiting a week will leave you a bit more cash I would wait.

I think you would ideally want $25K+ in the bank to leave that wiggle room if / when a Premo goes down.

With more time to think I now have two scenarios, need to know which one is less dopey…Cripps and Weightman go out for:
TU Neale and Bramble/Sharp ($40K – $70K in the bank)
TD Move Laird to mids, bring in Ridley ($145 – $175K in the bank)
Both moves leave me with CCJ at F6, but with the second scenario I might be able to upgrade him in a couple of weeks with one trade only, instead of the two trades I will need in the Neale scenario. The downside to that is that I get Ridley instead of Neale – worth it?
Neale might be playing hurt until the end of the season after that shoulder jolt in the first quarter. I was going to bring him in but now have second thoughts.

Hi everyone.
I have only 4 trades left and 3 upgrades left. I am torn between two options.
T/U I could get rid of Thilthorpe and Weightman this week and go to Callum Mills and a rookie and then in a couple of weeks go Coleman-Jones and Highmore to a premo and a rookie and have Matt Flynn left on my field with 0 trades left but otherwise full premo.
T/D I could trade out Thilthorpe, Flynn, CCJ and Highmore across two weeks and have about 1.5M in the bank to try and get three premos and a rookie. The problem with this option is that I would have to get cheaper premos and with the other option can get really good premos.
May want to keep a couple trades for injuries / resting, which will definitely happen.

Anyone else having a close look at Bailey Smith?
I have studied his CBAs the last 6 rounds and it’s fascinating reading and what is also interesting is how much the doggies change up there CBAs week to week!
In a nutshell, in rounds 9,10 and 15 – Smith had a high CBA attendance and scored 95, 97 and 126.
In rounds 12 and 14 (either side of the bye) he had no CBAs and scored 46 and 51.
In round 11 he had mid-range (7 ) CBAs and scored 84.
Last week he seemed to replace Macrae at CBAs and both had their best score for a number of weeks.
Not gonna ask standard question on whether I should bring him in but one for the purists and doggie fans.
Will Bailey Smith have a lot of CBAs for the remainder of the season.

Analysis is spot on, Dee. Been tracking his CBAs each week thanks to CT. His form’s been improving, so should keep getting a decent CBA load. No issue there.
Only problem is his position. Will be uncompetitive to have him at M8, with most having Brayshaw, Boak, Petracca, etc., who will comfortably cover him in points by season’s end.
If he was listed as a FWD, absolutely. But as a MID, I’d only bring him in if you desperately need to conserve trades and cash.

I agree with what you’ve said – get to full prem and then upgrade those who need it(Shutters at Cripples).
Hoping Newcome and Brambles can kick on in the next fortnight and earn some nice cash because having Bont is becoming very very necessary.
Edit: Otherwise I can always hold my trades a week and let both rookies go upf further and get another look at Danger.

Yep, get Danger in.
Instead of Weightman and Treacy (two playing rookies) the ideal way to do it would be to cash in on Jones (injured), swing Bianco to DEF as cover for the rest of the season and use that cash to go Weightman -> Danger. Gives you cover on every line and lets you hold on to Treacy.
You said you had 62k ITB. I ran the numbers and as long as you have 62.5k ITB, you can afford to do that. That extra five hundred dollars, not just 62k flat, gets you there.
So if you can go Jones -> Durham (via Bianco DPP) and Weightman -> Danger, do that. If you’re a couple hundred bucks short, then yeah you’ll have to use Weightman and Treacy instead.

Thanks mate, great observation. That was the first thing I did however i only have 62.1 k ITB which is shattering – so $400 short. I guess atleast by keeping Jones ive got loophole options in each line, so i can basically get a free look at CCJ and if he goes under 80 i can field Daniher who also is coming off a 112 last week and has fairly low b/e of 67. And by bringing in Chugg who is a D/F and i can switch him with briggs depending on who is playing. But yeah i’m a big cats fan and hoping danger is match fit and ready to explode. GL to everyone bringing him in.

I like Naughton over Smith. He has a higher ceiling with his contested marking and goals. Smith is more a fantasy player as he is an outside player and wont get much contested ball.
I can’t see either averaging much over 85 for the rest of the year.
If you have CCJ as cover, you could consider waiting a week and getting Dale or Hawkins. Both are capable of going 95+

Or is it prudent to hold off a week, maybe (?) make a little more cash (Treacy plays Carlton) and see what 7 days bring. Leaning towards doing the trade. But is it worth doing two trades for this – will give extra $130k to go towards final forward upgrade (probably CCJ). Have Reeves at R3 so can’t switch r/f there yet

6 trades left and going to trade Docherty and CCJ out this week and get Danger and another defender. Who to trade Docherty to? Leaning towards Haynes only because of how much cash I save:
T/up – Haynes (leaves me with $77k)
T/down – Cumming (leaves me with $11k)
OR
T/up – Salem (leaves me with $20k)
T/down – Short (leaves me with $5k)
CCJ has got plenty of money to make yet, could kick a bag tonight and outscore Danger.
Just go Docherty to Haynes this week mate, wait for CCJ price to rise a bit more. He has a breakeven of 18. Danger has a brekaeven of 100. So CCj will 100% be going up more in price than danger this week. And it allows you to have another free look at dangers form.

Pulled the trigger on Impey -> Danger this week, and leaves me with 3 trades for the rest of the year.
I’m one short of a full premo team, with CCJ/Weightman taking my F6 spot for now.
My dilemna:
TU – Downgrade Weightman to Bramble via dpp (leaves me with $317k in the bank but only 2 trades left for the rest of the year) – Does mean that I can then upgrade CCJ in coming weeks to an uber FWD premo (but only have 1 trade left after that)
TD – Hold trades this week and save those 3 trades for the inevitable injuries to premos (can upgrade CCJ or Weightman to a mid-priced FWD Premo in a few weeks and have 2 trades left for the year to sideways any injured premos)
These constant injuries are killing me….

Got 5 trades left and 160k in the bank. I’m 2 fwds away from premo.
Going Poulter/Weightman to Dangerfield/Bramble. I’ve got Madden, Briggs who aren’t making any money this week and CCJ who scored 5.
Can I just get some feedback on whether this is the move to make this week or if there is something I’m not seeing here. Should I be trading Madden and hoping that Poulter and Weightman make their BEs?
