I have a feeling that there are going to be plenty of donuts on offer this week. Hopefully some of those rookies (Koschitzke, Bergman, Flynn, Highmore et al) come back to save us!
F**k trying to get cash cows, f**k trying to get PODs, time to get in midfield premos who are going to give me consistent 120+. Tried way too hard to go for a POD-heavy team and it’s coming back to bite me now.
Out: Adams and LDU
In: Oliver and Macrae/Steele (depending if I can afford one of them)
Hard to know what to do. There seem to be only about a half dozen premiums worth going for across the board, the rest are scoring like crud. Guys like Jiath & Impey are looking more viable now despite their price rises.
Waterman looking a strong chance to make his way into the team, it is just which rookie to offload for him. Dow, Sharp, Brockman, Jordon and probably more are viable options
These are my likely trades this week..
I had the donut from flynn at R2 this week and ended up with a low score from fullarton at R3, Hoping he comes back in but mummy looked good.
Also took a donut from kozi/highmore which should make jones a necessity for me if his JS is looking good.
If flynn doesnt come back in it might become lachie hunter > rookie and flynn > premo ruck ..
Which could still leave me with a donut down back.. cruel game we play
(155k ITB)
Team is honestly in shambles, in a money league and need some serious help!!
Def – laird,Stewart, Daniel, j clarke, Chapman, kozi (highmore, sharp)
Mids – Oliver, bont, merret, Cripps, Taranto , gulden , jordon, berry ( Powell, brockman, Scott)
Ruck- gawndy (flynn)
Forward – dunkley, dusty, zieball, Warner , Daniher, campbell ( Bergman, rowe)
$227k in the bank any advice would be amazing!!!
Team doesn’t seem that bad on paper, just appears you need some bodies in the defence, which a majority of people are having the same issue.
I’d take out Kozi and bring in Jiath which will require an additional downgrade to have the $$. Possibly Bergman > Waterman.
However, with Daniel’s 1 week suspension you could also upgrade him to Ridley/Short and then use the left over money to trade Kosi to a Jones (Port) type. You’ll still have leftover $$ for next week where you can upgrade further and have the defensive bodies to field. Goodluck either way
Unfortunately I’m unable to upgrade Daniel to Ridley without sacrificing a Flynn type, which I’m hesitant to do since Treacy didn’t offer much today and Mummy won’t be able to play week-in week-out so theres more cash to make on Flynn. As such, I’ll hold Daniel through his week suspension and hope he gets off.
Kosi > Jones
Bergman > Waterman.
There is a chance Bergman comes back into the team with Port’s injuries but if not Waterman will come in. Cheers
If anyone can make a strong argument towards downgrading Flynn to Treacy to enable a Daniel > Ridley upgrade I’d be happy to hear it. Otherwise I’ll just proceed with the above trades and stack the $$.
probably not the smartest idea, here’s why-the latest out of the best team in the league (Freo) is rory lobb is a test for sunday so even if he doesnt return this week he will next week putting Treacy on shaky ground. Good luck and remember, go Freo!
TD: Adams and LDU -> Oliver/Macrae and Duncan/Walsh, $100k itb
Just want to see if people think it’s better to go for the 2 uber premos and set and forget, or go the second option and have some cash in the bank for future upgrades.
Hands up if you held Luke McDonald thru a late out in rd1, misses the next 2 weeks after that and then scores a fabulous 3!
Head up, at least he doesn’t drop in price. (Also a Caleb owner!)
I was going to bring him in this week but had to adjust on the fly with Flynn out. He seems to have an established role that scores well and has a friendly bye round.
Pretty annoyed I didn’t get on Impey earlier in the season. Have I missed the boat or do we genuinely think he is the real deal and could hold down a spot at F6?
Have Butters and Heeney, nightmare. I’m going to bench Heeney, and go BCampbell to Waterman and Butters to a premo defender (through DPP). Can you help?
*please keep in mind the lack of defensive rookies available. Also, if I go with Bowes, it’ll leave me enough cash to bring in another premo the week after. If I pick Steele, this means I won’t have enough to upgrade to a premo next week. Thoughts appreciated!
Ideally I would like to trade Dow, Daniel, T Adams and Neale, but realistically I can’t do that. I think the priority of people I need to get rid of is as follows.
1. Adams
2. Daniel (I would cop a 0 this week with Sharp and Highmore on my bench)
3. Dow (Would quite like to trade him for Waterman though)
4. Neale
T/U – Agree
T/D – Disagree
Would love explanations why/why not in the comments
Probably worth considering Adams to a premo defender and swing Sharp into the mids so you don’t have any 0s down back and hopefully you’ve got enough rookies in the midfield to cover that 0. Then you’d be able to do Dow for Waterman to make some cash.
As a Daniel owner, I do understand wanting to get rid of him too though but as someone who traded Adams and Dow out last week, it’s a pretty good feeling to be rid of those two.
You’ve committed to the 136k price drop already. Worth sticking to him as you know he has the potential to pump out huge scores and turn his luck around quickly! Shouldn’t drop anymore than around 50k from now so not worth sideways trading IMO
Have the headaches of Daniel and Butters to deal with but I’m also already down to 24 trades and really don’t want two sideways trades. I can get 6 in my backline by swinging Clark into D5 and Chapman at D6 but one of Koschitzke, Highmore or Daniel would have to go. Still holding onto Butters until a timeline is announced and might just hold if it’s only a couple of weeks (I’m lying to myself with optimism here) but I want to hold my second trade for the week in case he needs to go.
TU: Koschitzke to Waterman to get better cash generation
TD: Daniel to a premo. I’ve got 150k so can get anyone really and through DPPs it can be any position except ruck.
Why is everyone trading Daniel?
I realize he’s copped 1 week, he only scored 19 and he’ll lose a bit more money and people have donuts to contend with, but I thought he was a keeper.
Has he perhaps had a roll change or been injured
Or something else I don’t know about.
Let me know. Thanks
Caleb kick ins for first four weeks are
1. 55% highest
2. 56% highest
3. 67% highest.
4. 33% equal highest with Bailey Dale. Alex Keith 17%( first time taking kick ins this year) also Taylor Duryea 17%( was 22% previous 2 games.)
Still only got 10 players total and three of them are non playing rookies for Rd 14 bye round need to start trading to a least try and cover some spots.
True but at Rd 5 I only have 7 players on the ground for Rd14 would be good to get a few more, I try not to trade to hard at the beginning of the season just injuries or dropped players, rage trade after the bye rounds.
Not sure whether to upgrade Daniel to Bowes/Stewart/Houston or go down the Jiath route. Definitely think he needs to go, not liking the look of his current role.
If you’re bringing them in at this point, it’s not for cash generation but because you think they’ll be a keeper. For DEF and FWD, that’d mean you would want them to average 95+ from here.
We have 3 holes to cover. Two injured forwards and Daniel.
I am tempted to go with Hickey or Grundy. But Grundy looks like he still has a bit more price slide in him, given what’s happening at the pies, and while Hickey still has some decent price growth in him, but he really is a now or never proposition.
Gawn and Grundy will still be the dominant pairing, but the gap between Grundy and the rest has shrunk and he’s no longer an absolute essential. The Pies midfield will only make that situation worse. This is exactly what people were concerned about with the whole G&G lock-in thing.
I’m also tempted to take Bowes and complete my defence but he’s near full priced already. So there really isn’t too much rush on that.
I can also take Grundy instead of Waterman, but based on Mummy slowing down in Q4 and Flynn having his break I am hoping that Mummy gets a rest this week.
Although I’m sure Mummy would love to go up against Hickey at his old club this week.
If I have Fullerton as coverage that may have to do. If Fullerton gets dropped I will bring in a ruck.
So once again it’s all a bit what if until teams come in. It’s so frustrating that you find players dropped after their replacement has already played their match.
Worth noting that Grundy wasn’t trusted with solo rucking or even rucking against Nic Nat with just Cox’s support last year. Cameron played both times.
His two matches last year were:
Elimination final 105 (yet only 67 AF and 19 hitouts 12 possesions) which smells like a massive scaleup by CD. (Grundy/Cox/Cameron)
Round 8 – 61 (62 AF) on 10 possessions and 24 hitouts with Grundy/Cameron.
2019 games, however, were a bit more like Grundy’s average.
2018 games were also suffering from huge discrepancies between AF and SC scores.
My points here being I won’t be rushing Grundy in this week, and I strongly advise against him as a captain option this week.
He has been playing forward, and I think he may get on the end of a few. This may be the week he goes big. I would Hold.
I really like Steele ( I own him ) I’m not sure paying $650K at this stage, is a good idea. I just think the way the rookies are looking if you want a chance to get to “Full Premo” you will need to get in as many Fallen Premiums ( sub $550K ) as possible. Going Steele now could mean your stuck with a rookie or two on field come the end of the year.
Best of luck anyway.
PS..I have no problem with you trading out Dow and Danniher 😉
I’m a little unsure about Waterman as a small forward who relies on goals to score SC points (already have two in McNeil and Scott). Thinking going early on Lachie Jones, for Dow, might be better.
He should top $500k the week after, ( R6) with a decent score this week.
I was looking at him as a Heeney replacement. I’m actually more worried about his body holding up rather than his scoring ability. He has a long history of soft tissue injuries. This doesn’t fill me with any confidence he can play out the season.
I’ve already lost Rowel, Young and now have Heeney to deal with/ cover.. I just can’t take the risk on him at this stage.
If you have a heap of trades (27 or more ) and want to roll the dice.
He could pay off big time.
Why Jordan?? His be is 47 and so far scored 78/82/49/24. Was most likely managed on the weekend as most rookies will be. Where as Campbell’s be is 71 and has scores of 56/118/29/51.
I am thinking one of two options – again 25 trades left
TU: Sit tight and hold trades – in a pretty good spot
TD: Using DPP, Jordon to Waterman, Campbell to Jiath (with Keeper intentions) leaving me with $25k and my team looking like this:
One person I have to get rid of is Heeney. Swans said they’re hopeful he’ll be back in 2-3 weeks, but them using the term ‘hopeful’ isn’t too promising to my ears.
Daniels has had a wonky start, and him being out this week doesn’t help but I’m hoping he comes good. If Highmore gets called back into the Saints side I’ll be much more likely to keep him in. Was hoping to downgrade Clark to Jones next week if I can help. If not, I’ll have to either upgrade Daniel and downgrade someone, upgrade Highmore to Jones and downgrade someone else.
Also I don’t know if it’s just me, but is anyone else now afraid for Flynn JS? After Mumford’s performance, you think that the Giants might continue to stick with him after that. I don’t know, but that worries me at the moments, especially when I only have Meek as a backup (thanks Draper for getting injured beforehand).
Jordon apparently may be dropped as well from what I’m hearing. And even though McNeil and Scott’s BE is still okay, there scoring is concerning as I don’t know if their JS is okay now.
I had some ideas but I’m not sure which one to go for:
1. Heeney > Impey
Daniel > DEF premo around $500-550k
2. Heeney > Impey
Highmore > Jones
3. Jordon > Waterman (through Scott DPP)
Daniel > DEF premo around $500-550k
4. Jordon > Waterman (through Scott DPP)
Highmore > Jones.
Or if Highmore gets called up:
Jordon > Waterman (through Scott DPP)
Heeney > FWD premo around $550k
Something that’s been advised to me by a couple of people as well was Heeney > Waterman, but I personally think that’s a stupid trade downgrading a premo/near-premo to a rookie. Totally takes away that strength in the FWD line.
Don’t think Highmore will come in, we will find out on Wednesday night.
If highmore doesn’t play:
Daniel to Stewart or Bowes
Heeney to Impey.
Have to wait from Leon Cameron in regards to Flynn or when team selections come out on Friday night. Mumford might be sore after aggressive game against Grundy.
If highmore plays and flynn doesn’t
Heeney to Waterman
Upgrade meek to Grundy if you have the cash, if not, Hickey with B/E of -4.
I know you think it’s silly trading premium to rookie but Waterman will generate cash and you have Grundy/Hickey strengthening the ruck stock. But Ziebell is scoring like a premium and Warner is scoring well so don’t worry about Waterman taking Heeney’s spot.
If I was to get Grundy or Hickey to avoid having any donuts, I’d have to leave Heeney, because I need to replace either Daniel or Highmore as well. Otherwise I’ll be getting a donut in the defence with only 5 players available if I sorted Heeney out instead.
Im thinking May and Scott out (via Dusty) for Ridley and Waterman
or
May and Scott (via Dusty) out for Jiath and Waterman and bank $241 300 for next premium upgrade.
or
Any suggestions that you think is better than my suggestions, thank you.
Certainly the situation where you could potentially be trading blind (due to the teams only being called a day before the match) is adding a Russian roulette feel to the game this year.
Especially when you might be forced to trade out a player from game one for another player who has yet to be confirmed.
Have a big decision to make on the trade front this week and interested to hear what you guys think. I’d like to add Macrae and Oliver to my mids over the next few weeks too if possible.
I’m thinking one of the following scenarios:
TU: Daniher, Kosi > Waterman, Bowes (265k bank) [Keep Caleb Daniel and have full premium defence]
TD: Daniher, Daniel > Waterman, Bowes (590k bank) [Primed to pickup Macrae and Oliver over the coming weeks]
Cox has a BE of -44 compared to Clark’s 37 or so and will be handy when Zeibell gets DEF/FWD status. Also leaves me with $150k in the bank currently. If Finn Macrae does well, then next week I’ll likely go:
Jordon/Campbell -> Macrae
Kos/Highmore -> L. Jones
The Following week, assuming no injuries, I’ll probably have $250k – $300k in the bank for a significant upgrade. Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
G’day all can anyone tell me if I can do a three way swap of players eg back to forward then forward to midfield then midfielder to back. Thanks for your assistance asmight save a dognut
Hi GFH !
The answer to your 3way question is Yes
If you have a Def/Fwd ,a Def/Mid & a Fwd/Mid & an empty position to start the process. eg… say you have Cox starting in Def, Campbell sitting in Fwd line & Sharp sitting in the Mids & you’ve traded out a fwd. Then you’d move Cox to fwd, Sharp to Def & Campbell to Mid. You’d have moved your players around & still retain your empty Fwd possi.
Hope that helps !
Yes, but it requires having players traded out, and utililizing the dpp after the vacancy is created.
So create the vacancy with the trade out, then you can shuffle a dpp into their spot, then a dpp into the subsequent spot, then trade in the player you want in the final location(s).
Relatively simple on the computer but a serious pain in the butt via phone app.
To early to decide a “good” keeper.
Things are a bit different this year, probably so we don’t adapt too quickly and make it unfair to non SCT people. (IMO of course)
On Campbell.
I would read Cow Talk ( out this afternoon.) before making this trade.
It was just three weeks ago (R2) he scored 118
This week that 118, has dropped from his price cycle, hence the high BE .
Campbell has an ugly 29 (R3) about to drop out of his price cycle after this week, this should bring his BE back down again.
If he scores 64 ( as predicted ) he will only lose $3k and his BE will be back to low 30’s
If he goes 90 ( unlikely but not impossible) his BE will be in the minuses again.
Doesn’t net me any cash but if Hunter isn’t named tomorrow night it’s hard to see him getting a game for the rest of the season. Also gets Rowe off the field. Just concerned as it puts me down to 25 trades remaining. Pull the trigger?
Housten may also need to move up the ground ( unless they play Mayes on a wing ) This can only be a good thing for Jones JS and scoring.
He looks ready made. He was great v Richmond, a little sloppy with the ball, but the pressure was finals like all night. He should only get better as he starts to fit in. Against lower opponents he may really shine. It might be as soon as this week v Carlton.
I am considering a downgrade Daniel to Jones. With Lobb looking to return earlier than expected I need that cash for a upgrade to Grundy. Will give me Gawdy with Flynn on the bench. Also have Neale on the Horizon listed at a price I cannot ignore.
Is it a bad move to do the downgrade this week will leave me with 400k in the bank.
Or Upgrade Daniel to Bowes or Docherty. Bring Jones in for cover on the bench. Leaves next to nothing in the bank and I’m relying on Flynn to keep playing.
Turn Daniel into Grundy and bank the cash any day of the week.
L Jones should be fine at D6.
I dropped Neale before price changes. I too will look at him R7-8 if it looks like he is fit again. I won’t touch him otherwise. There’s a heap of other Premo’s with high BE’s
That cash could come in very handy. 😉
My team’s in turmoil this week with May out and have underperforming players (Dow, etc), would appreciate some advice.
DEF: Lloyd, Laird, Stewart, May, Clark, L.Jones (Kosi, Highmore)
MID: Oliver, Neale, ZMerrett, Titch, Cripps, Gulden, Powell, Jordan (Sam Berry, A.Scott, Downie)
RUC: Gawn, Grundy (Flynn)
FWD: Dunkley, Ziebell, Warner, Campbell, Dow, Brockman (Rowe, Treacy)
Have 27 trades left and $31,200 ITB
Cheers!!
A) Looking to trade Butters to Impey and Fantasia to Jiath which leaves me with $91,000 for next week
or
B) Fantasia to Jones and Butters out, Cambell to Forward and bring in J.Macrae
which leaves me with $71,000
Rowan Marshall.
“He’s going well. He did a bit yesterday, he’s done a bit again today. He’s doing everything right so unless something pops up he’ll play.”
Brett Ratten
Ok I’m a little torn, this early in the season, I have 200k in the bank and have the following options.
Still gather rookies which would mean getting rid of some dud rookies Eg Sharp, McNeil, Scott traded out with Heeney.for
TU Waterman and Chapman with a booty of cash for premo’s next week
TD Petracca and one of Waterman or Chapman
Or keep Heeney and just go the rookie option and get Petracca next week.
T/U: Kelly > Steele, 24k ITB, 25 trades remaning
T/D: HOLD Kelly, 121,9k ITB, 26 trades remaining
First reaction is to trade as Leon Cameron is playing Haynes over Kelly on the wing and he just can’t seem to get back into the midfield from that half forward role. Steele also plays 6 of the next 8 games at Etihad. Let me know with any other thoughts in the comments
I’ve missed the boat on Neale and don’t want to on another premium.
T/U – Give Tomohawk (dropped $44.9K already) the flick for Tex
T/D – Hold the Tomohawk because the play North this week
Went early on L.Jones last week to afford Young>Ridley. Looking to bring in Chapman this week and push Jones to D7 for backline cover.
Assuming both are named, who goes first
Fantasia is playing Carlton this week with a BE of 81. Thinking of trading him in this week as an eventual premo and hope he keeps getting 100+. Bear in mind I am down to 25 trades
TU: Fantasia -> CJ
TD:Hold
Thinking Butters and Daniel to L. Sholl and Ridley.
Ridley gives me 5 Def. premiums. Sholl gives me two D/M.
one in Def (Laird) and one in Mid. Dusty goes from mids to fwd.
Can someone explain why everyone is trading out Campbell over other underperforming rookies who are playing worse. Campbells js is much better than the likes of Brockman, Scott and McNeil and he is scoring much more. Why would you trade him???
Read Father Dougal’s analysis in Cow Talk. His 29 from a fortnight ago makes his BE misleading. Unlikely to make cash this round but after that his cash generation is likely to start up again. He’s a hold.
Rookies scores go up and down like a nuns knickers, the price will even out in the next week or so, trade them then unless you want to generate quick $$$. With Heeney looking suspect Campbell’s JS is OK for the next few weeks. Have a look at TOG vs scores for a more accurate picture
Torn on what to do, feeling like not having Gawn is going to kill me in the next following weeks but then again, not having Ridley is also looking meh. Either way I’m going to have to trade a DEF and RUCK, it’s just a matter of who. But then again I’ve got some other choices I’m contemplating I’ll comment below!
TU: Daniel and Draper > Gawn and Jiath (best player I can get under 445k in any position I feel)
TD: Daniel and Draper > Ridley and O’brien (cheeky POD and looks like he may of regained a tad bit of form after back to back 100’s)
Other options I’m looking at are…
TU: Werh and Draper > Jones and O’brien (keeping faith in Daniel to have a similar year to last when he’s back)
TD: Daniel and Draper > Just go a bit off the rails with the trade and bring in DEF like Bowes or Short, and then a ruck like NicNat, Hickey or Darcy (not a fan of this one but thought I’d just chuck it out there
To avoid a donut down back this week I have a tricky decision to make. I am 60/40 on holding or trading Daniel. The alternative would be trading in L.Jones a week early for the likes of Kozi or Highmore. Would appreciate your thoughts!
T/U – Daniel -> Bowes
T/D – Kozi/Highmore -> Jones
With Highmore not being named again and not even cracking emergencies and Frawley looking at coming through the VFL this week, is it time to give up hope and move him on.
Reason why is I just realized that if Flynn and Meek don’t play, I’m pretty much f***ed either way with 3 people in my defence not playing and Heeney out too. I think there’s a decent chance of that happening honestly.
If it does, what should I do? Because I have no bloody solutions on how to solve it.
Playing for league down to 25 trades before this week
TU: One trade – Highmore to Jiath with a donut for Daniel
TD: Two trades – Jordon to Jones, (via DPP) Highmore to Jiath/Bowes
(Brockman on field in MID)
Tu- Daniel and Campbell to danger and Jones
Td- Daniel and gulden to Steele and Jones
Have to trade gulden in order to get last bit of cash to get steele
Do I trade Daniher to waterman this round or go Daniher to mccreery next round? He doesn’t seem like a bad downgrade option
TU – Waterman
TD – Mccreery
Gonna have to cop potentially Treacy at R2 or hope that Mumford is a late scratch for Flynn..
Getting FOMO not having Ridley 2.0 aka Jack Bowes and Phillips is giving me the irrates given I didn’t start Impey (and view him at worst, F6 if he can stay healthy).
Too many duds not enough trades…….
I’m thinking the following,
Kosi > Jones
Brockman > Waterman
I will be trading out Heeney, Butters, DeGoey, Dow, Daniher, Kosi, Highmore….
Brockman > Waterman
Daniel > Tu; Steele Td; Lloyd
I have a feeling that there are going to be plenty of donuts on offer this week. Hopefully some of those rookies (Koschitzke, Bergman, Flynn, Highmore et al) come back to save us!
Butters to Jiath
Jordon to Waterman?
Butters might not be out for long
Syndesmosis for Butters. That kept Dunkley out for 6 weeks last year.
Two weeks too late on Jiath. that’s why I burnt a premium last week. Sadly the wrong one.
If I think he’s going to average 95+ for the rest of the season, it’s nowhere near being “too late”.
Dow, Sharp, Brockman, Jordon and probably more are viable options
get rid of paddy dow. not worth wiping your bum with.
I have Heeney, Daniel and Butters managed 1890, with rookies failing and Powell on the bench.
Going to be a quiet week next week
had the same 2000 odd. hurt to have powell on the pine and lose two premos.
Butters > dunkley
Kozi > jones
These are my likely trades this week..
I had the donut from flynn at R2 this week and ended up with a low score from fullarton at R3, Hoping he comes back in but mummy looked good.
Also took a donut from kozi/highmore which should make jones a necessity for me if his JS is looking good.
If flynn doesnt come back in it might become lachie hunter > rookie and flynn > premo ruck ..
Which could still leave me with a donut down back.. cruel game we play
(155k ITB)
Could take a punt on Treacy getting named again and go Flynn to Treacy, Kozi/Highmore to Jones to avoid the donut
OUT: Sharp & Rowe
IN: Jones & Waterman
Caleb on the bench
Goodluck either way
That’s pretty much the same as most of our team
Daniher to Waterman
Kozi/Highmore to Jiath?
go jiath for kosi and daniel for ridley if u have the cash
I am pretty sure you already have enough moner
probably not the smartest idea, here’s why-the latest out of the best team in the league (Freo) is rory lobb is a test for sunday so even if he doesnt return this week he will next week putting Treacy on shaky ground. Good luck and remember, go Freo!
Bank: 109,400
Def
J.Llyod,R.Laird,C.Daniel,J.Short,N.Cox,H.Chapman (H.Sharp,T.Highmore)
Mid
L.Neale,M.Bont,D.Martin,P.Cripps,S.Walsh,E.Gulden,B.Campbell,T.Powell
(T.Brockman,A.Scott,C.Downie)
Ruck
M.Gawn,B Grundy (M.Flynn)
Forward
J.Dunkley,J.Ziebell,J.Daniher,C.Warner,J.Rowe,P.Dow (H.Jones,O.Henry)
so lost on what to do so many problem on my team any tips on where to start wish we had more trades.
Daniel > Ridley
Dow > Waterman
Kosi to Waterman via dpp
Campbell to steele
Thinking the same. Only concern is Steele playing Thursday and not having a trade to save any selection carnage
Could go Macrae over Steele
Plan A
Butters to Waterman
Daniels to Steele
Next week Cash + Cambell into Oliver
Plan A version B
Still Butters to Waterman
Daniels to Bowes. Bowes seem to be in a favourable SC role and should average 110ish for the year.
Then next week a rookie like Jordon/brockman/Scott into Oliver/Steele with the extra cash.
Cambell has better job security and has potential to put high scores.
TU: Adams and LDU -> Oliver and Macrae, $13k itb
TD: Adams and LDU -> Oliver/Macrae and Duncan/Walsh, $100k itb
Just want to see if people think it’s better to go for the 2 uber premos and set and forget, or go the second option and have some cash in the bank for future upgrades.
Hands up if you held Luke McDonald thru a late out in rd1, misses the next 2 weeks after that and then scores a fabulous 3!
Head up, at least he doesn’t drop in price. (Also a Caleb owner!)
Daniel&Kosi to Short&Waterman (via DPP)
Trading Caleb Daniel? (Premo keeper right?) f…g 19 not even injured Dow did better!
Has Daniel stopped taking Bulldogs kick ins?
Didn’t take many on the weekend, a couple I think?
Spent more time on the bench than usual.
stopped taking effort pills
Trade Daniel to Short
T/U. Yes do it
T/D. Hold your promos idiot
Lot of trade talk on Daniel. We’ll get a poll up on him asap.
Brayshaw to impey via DPP.
Pocket 150k for next upgrade.
Yes or no?
Thoughts on Bowes? Is he the real deal?!
Yep, I’ve seen enough.
Takes a majority of the kick ins, great KH ratio and set to accumulate and distribute plenty in what will likely be a backline under siege each week.
I was going to bring him in this week but had to adjust on the fly with Flynn out. He seems to have an established role that scores well and has a friendly bye round.
Daniel > Jiath
Daniher > Waterman
build some bank, although feel Daniher could score well against the dons at home.
Contemplating something similar. Might be Campbell instead of Daniher though
Brockman —> Waterman
Daniel —> Short
Means I don’t have to field Koz this week either.
Next week:
Koz —> L Jones
Daniel to Jiath
Brockman to Cox (ess)
Good idea?
Daniel to Docherty
Campbell to Waterman
Yes or No
Daniel > Jiath
And
Brayshaw > Macrae
Or
Any other ideas for a cheaper option for Brayshaw
TU: Lachie Ash / been in good form and more midfield time due to injuries
Or
TD: Jiath
Daniel my only problem this week (phew….) but also have barely anything in bank 🙁
Daniel > Bowes
Jordan > L. Jones via DPP
J Clark fills in M6
Neale!! Is it time to get him?? 27 touches! Score not big but or do I wait his BE is 160.
Surely you’d have to see more than 89 and 85 before you bring in a midfielder priced at 585k?!?
Thoughts on Daniher > Impey?
Pretty annoyed I didn’t get on Impey earlier in the season. Have I missed the boat or do we genuinely think he is the real deal and could hold down a spot at F6?
TU: Do it, get Impey in
TD: Not worth it
Heeney & Clarke out.
TU
Waterman & Ridley in.
TD
Waterman & Short in.
TU: Daniel > Jiath and Downie > Chapman
or
TD: Daniel > Bowes and Campbell > Chapman
Daniher to Waterman?
T/U – Brockman to Waterman + Adams to Steele
T/D – Duggan to Jiath + Adams to Petracca/Oliver
Fullerton-Waterman
Daniel-Ridley
TU – do it
TD – don’t do it
Concerned I’m still not getting closer to full premium but Ridley seems to be a must-have
Plenty of love for a Campbell-Waterman trade according to the polls below to make Daniel-Ridley happen. But Fullerton-Waterman not nearly as much.
Any reasoning? I would have thought Campbell has far better JS and higher ceiling than Fullerton, especially with McStay coming back soon.
Maybe people want a swingman ruck? A couple of bad scores to bring marshall down in price and that looks very very enticing to have a R3 f/r
Fair enough. Might look at swinging Brockman FWD then to get Waterman.
Early thoughts are Brockman to Waterman and Jordon to Jiath swinging Laird or Clark to Mids.
Have Butters and Heeney, nightmare. I’m going to bench Heeney, and go BCampbell to Waterman and Butters to a premo defender (through DPP). Can you help?
TU: Ridley
TD: JLloyd
Straight swap to Bowes for me.
bowes looks like he’s seriously a top 6 contender
TU: chugg > Bowes, Hawkins > Waterman
Gets rid of my 100% donut D and brings in a good rookie
TD: don’t be crazy, Hawkins is the best and you need Ridley.
Kosi > Ridley, Neale > McNeill/Giro
My current issue is that I wish I’d traded Neale but he is still outperforming Hawkins
Hawkins had a once in a lifetime season.
A key forward at that age? Tex is 2 years younger.
Daniel > Houstan
Houston and Bowes have to be the two best candidates to break into the top 6
Is Flynn a must trade now ? Cheers
Out: Daniel and Campbell
In: Ridley and Waterman
Even if Flynn is my R2 ?
Have you got ANY cover?
Anyone think highmore will get on the park this week?
Campbell > Stringer
Do it brother
Campbell —> waterman
Daniel —> Ridley
141k in bank
TU: Mills
TD: Short
or Jiath to bank an extra 60k
Tu: Bowes?
Quite a few defender options right now.
Depends on your bye structure. At the price you are paying for Jiath now you’re taking him as a keeper. Likewise Bowes.
TU – Short – 530k
TD – Bowes – 500k
Got 130k do I trade out Jordan for Heppell. Heppell will only get better the more games he gets in.
Daniel to
TU Lloyd
TD Jiath
Trading out Daniel this week
Should I bring in;
Tu; Bowes
Td; Steele (via dpp)
*please keep in mind the lack of defensive rookies available. Also, if I go with Bowes, it’ll leave me enough cash to bring in another premo the week after. If I pick Steele, this means I won’t have enough to upgrade to a premo next week. Thoughts appreciated!
Will need to make a trade down back to avoid a donut and think I want to bring Waterman in.
Kosi -> Jones
Bergman -> Waterman
T/U: Good move
T/D: Wasted sideways trades
If Butters is out, he’ll be going along with De Goey to Waterman.
Best trade in?
T/U – Ridley
T/D – Steele (Jack)
Comment – Dangerfield
Have Daniher as my F6 at the moment with Rowe and Scott as my bench players. Do I upgrade to Impey or downgrade to Waterman for extra cash flow?
TU: Impey
TD: Waterman
Downgrade for sure, missed the boat on Impey
Conditions didn’t help Daniher in Ballarat. He did kick 3.3 against the pies. I’m going to hold him for another week.
I do like this idea, thank you
TU: Bowes
TD: Jiath
Im contemplating the exact same trade…
Hello, i still have Neale is he still worth trading out now or is it to late if so why
You’ve committed to the 136k price drop already. Worth sticking to him as you know he has the potential to pump out huge scores and turn his luck around quickly! Shouldn’t drop anymore than around 50k from now so not worth sideways trading IMO
Trading Daniel
TU Short
TD Bowes
Comment- Lloyd or wait until his price bottoms out.
TU Campbell > Heppell
TD campbell > Waterman
Heppell won’t be a keeper and has really poor durability so likely to miss games. Better off going waterman for cash gen purposes
Has anyone paid any attention to Jack Bowes? Is he a viable replacement for Daniel?
campbell and highmore out for waterman and Jones – leaves $187,300 in bank – next week premo upgrade – possibly clark to ridley
thoughts?
Who should target in the rookies? and has better job security
TU: Treacy
TD: Waterman
T/U = Steele 70k ITB
T/D= Lyons 130K ITB
Should I trade Brayshaw? Copping a tag every week now! Cheers
TU – Houston
TD – Bowes
101k in the bank/26 trades
Lloyd, short, May, Daniels, Jiath (highmore/Chugg)
Oliver, Neale, zerrett, Walsh, Taranto, Clark, gulden, powell (Jordon/berry/McNeil)
Gawndy (Flynn)
Ziebell, impey, Warner, daniher, Rowe, Scott (brockman/Treacy)
Obvious holes in May and Daniel needs attention.
T/U for may/Daniel to petracca and l.Jones via DPP
T/D for May/Daniel to lever and crouch via DPP
Comment any suggestions, would be appreciated
T/U, Crouch is a injury trap at some stage.
TU: Heeney to Impey
TD:Heeney to Waterman
that way I can trade Daniel to Ridley
Who scores more for the remainder of the season
TU Steele
TD Petracca
Neale should be a good premo rookie should be under $480 in a few weeks.
Butters will likely need to go.
TU: Impey (looking more like a keeper each week)
TD: Toby Greene
Extra cash from the Impey trade will allow me to go Flynn – Gawn next week or the week after.
L.Parker?
Was almost on him this year. He’s a good solid 110 point player but he comes with no discount.
TU: Trade Brayshaw
Or
TD: Trade Campbell
TU: Daniel > 600k def
Or
TD: Daniel > Jiath and then Brayshaw to Macrae
Why is everyone trading Daniel?
I realize he’s copped 1 week, he only scored 19 and he’ll lose a bit more money and people have donuts to contend with, but I thought he was a keeper.
Has he perhaps had a roll change or been injured
Or something else I don’t know about.
Let me know. Thanks
He doesn’t look like a keeper. he hasn’t all season. plus 19 in the price cycle for 3 weeks and a likely donut if you keep him.
I think his role has changed. Not taking kick-ins and ran around at half forward for a bit on the weekend.
This week I’ve got a couple problems in
Daniel, Butters, Campbell, Jordan and Kosi
But thinking longer term Daniel is only 1 week and butters will be out for a few so I’m thinking
Keeping in mind Campbell B/E is 71
Butters – Steele
Campbell – L.Jones (via Laird to mid)
Gidday Hayden, both rookies have shown that they capable of scoring well.I am holding both. Jones can wait another week. Agree with Steele.
Thanks for the reply
Yes Campbell can score well but I’m after some cash as I’ve only got $40k in the bank before the butters trade
My other option since my post was to go
Butters to Zieball
And
Kosi to Jones
Campell & Brockman out
Impey and Waterman in
T/U Go for it
T/D Bad idea
Still only got 10 players total and three of them are non playing rookies for Rd 14 bye round need to start trading to a least try and cover some spots.
Gidday Hinch,
T/D, rd 14 a long way off, lot can happen b4 then with rookies, injuries & poor form.
True but at Rd 5 I only have 7 players on the ground for Rd14 would be good to get a few more, I try not to trade to hard at the beginning of the season just injuries or dropped players, rage trade after the bye rounds.
T/U – Bowes
T/D – Lloyd
Trading Daniel, not only is he suspended but has a complete role change imo – has to go.
T/U – Stewart
T/D – Bowes
Cheers everyone!
Trade Heeney out?
Yes-tu
No-td
Not sure whether to upgrade Daniel to Bowes/Stewart/Houston or go down the Jiath route. Definitely think he needs to go, not liking the look of his current role.
Starting Backs are: Lloyd, Ridley, Laird, Short, Daniel, H.Chapman
I personally think I’ve missed the Jiath boat but interested to hear peoples opinions on who they think my best option is.
TU: Bowes/Stewart/Houston
TD: Jiath
Why is everyone trading Campbell out over some other rookies that are worse kick brockman???
TU: Campbell to Waterman
TD: Brockman to Waterman
Steven May > Jiath
Chugg > Lachie Jones
Holding on Daniel. Brutal round 4… might go for a cry.
If Highmore plays (unlikely), seriously considering:
May > Jones
Clark > Ridley
If you had to trade 1 this week, which one would you trade?
TU – Jordon
Or
TD – Campbell
Please note, the one i dont trade will more than likely be on field.
Cheers.
Jordon might get dropped problem fixed LOL
Lol yeah that would make it easy. Jordon it is.
With Houli back is Short still a viable option?
T/u- Houli
T/d- Short
I have got the funds to move Neale to any premo i want, should i continue to hold him or shaft while i still can?
TU: Hold
TD: Shaft
Who to Trade Out? (I guess, it’s basically whoever is out longest)
TU Butters
TD Heeney
Thanks Coaches
Butters will be out weekslonger than Heeney. Heeney is maybe 3 weeks, which is lineball to keep.
Butters will probably be around 6-8 weeks,so most likely becomes a bye related trade.
But until they confirm, you’re best saving your trades as late as you can this week.
Trading out Butters and J.Clark
TU Greene and Jiath
TD Warner and Ridley
Tu Daniel > Bowes
Td hold Daniel
Butters > Waterman
B.Campbell > Steele
Thoughts?
Thoughts on:
Phillips > Impey
Daniel > Short
Cheers
Thinking the same, but Daniel to Bowes as an alternative
TU: Bowes
TD: Short
Cheers guys!
is it too late for jiath and impey?
T/U -Yes, ship has sailed both risen to much in price
T/D – No, although both risen in price, they are still cheap and have pts and money to make.
cheers guys
If you’re bringing them in at this point, it’s not for cash generation but because you think they’ll be a keeper. For DEF and FWD, that’d mean you would want them to average 95+ from here.
Which on three hundreds each on the trot and each with a 100 average might not be too unbelievable, even if unexpected at the start of the season.
A 90+ average at their price point as a forward or back puts them into luxury trade category later, and 95+ makes them a potential keeper.
Certainly the points seem to be there for quicker players this season.
I can’t choose between Houston or Bowes
TU-Houston
TD-Bowes
I’d go Houston – just so you can say “Houston we have a problem” when he tanks….
T/u – Campbell to Waterman, Daniel to Ridley (Have to field Jordan M8)
T/d – Jordan to Waterman, Daniel to Short (Keep Campbell M8)
My proposed actions:
Out Daniel (suspended, future cash drops) and Butters (injured medium term)
In Waterman (cash) and Greene (form, underpriced).
This covers all holes with dpp shifts. (Clark to Backline, Brockman to midfield bench).
TU – Trade Neale for Boak or Parker
TD – Hold Neale, too late ship has sailed
Who scores more for the rest of the season?
TU Parker
TD Petracca
Cheers
Hi Guys,
Who would you put in
TU Jaith
TD Sholl for DPP
Thanks
Thoughts on Stringer
No
It’s a trap!
Tu – Tex and Gulden to waterman and Steele
Td- tex and Campbell to anyone but Steele
Why are you trading out Tex after he just got 100?
Feels a little premature to trade out Jordan Clark and Daniher but feels like a good time to be aggressive.
Currently only used 3 trades. Thinking the following.
T/U – Daniher & Clark to Steele & Waterman $24K ITB
T/D – Dow & Clark to Walsh & Waterman $50k ITB
or maybe just go Dow down to Waterman and try for a double upgrade next week.
Emile
J Clark plays North at alphabet stadium ( Home)
He has been playing forward, and I think he may get on the end of a few. This may be the week he goes big. I would Hold.
I really like Steele ( I own him ) I’m not sure paying $650K at this stage, is a good idea. I just think the way the rookies are looking if you want a chance to get to “Full Premo” you will need to get in as many Fallen Premiums ( sub $550K ) as possible. Going Steele now could mean your stuck with a rookie or two on field come the end of the year.
Best of luck anyway.
PS..I have no problem with you trading out Dow and Danniher 😉
Thanks FT. Very sound advice!
I’m a little unsure about Waterman as a small forward who relies on goals to score SC points (already have two in McNeil and Scott). Thinking going early on Lachie Jones, for Dow, might be better.
Thoughts on Brad Crouch
At that price I reckon you’d want to see him back up this weekends performance before his price rise as he’s priced around his career average.
On Crouch. $448K mid.
His BE is 59 and he should rise between $15K-$25K
He should top $500k the week after, ( R6) with a decent score this week.
I was looking at him as a Heeney replacement. I’m actually more worried about his body holding up rather than his scoring ability. He has a long history of soft tissue injuries. This doesn’t fill me with any confidence he can play out the season.
I’ve already lost Rowel, Young and now have Heeney to deal with/ cover.. I just can’t take the risk on him at this stage.
If you have a heap of trades (27 or more ) and want to roll the dice.
He could pay off big time.
You have to love a guy who has 12 tackles.
Best of luck.
Very poor injury history
Definitely trading out Daniel this week. Interested to see if coaches feel Jordan and Campbell need trading this week and if so which one?
T/U – Hold trade for one more week.
T/D – Empty the clip and secure those points
T/U – Trade Jordan
T/D – Trade Campbell
Why Jordan?? His be is 47 and so far scored 78/82/49/24. Was most likely managed on the weekend as most rookies will be. Where as Campbell’s be is 71 and has scores of 56/118/29/51.
Ranked around 4,000 and have used 5 trades already. Winning all my league games. $60k in the bank
Def – Lloyd, Laird, Ridley, Stewart, J Clark, Chapman (Kozi, Highmore)
Mids – Macrae, Neale, Merrett, Taranto, Gulden, Campbell, Jordon, Berry ( Powell, Brockman, Newchurch (102k loop))
Ruck- Gawn, Grundy (Flynn)
Forward – Dunkley, Dusty, Zieball, Warner , Daniher, Fullerton (Bergman, Rowe)
I am thinking one of two options – again 25 trades left
TU: Sit tight and hold trades – in a pretty good spot
TD: Using DPP, Jordon to Waterman, Campbell to Jiath (with Keeper intentions) leaving me with $25k and my team looking like this:
Def – Lloyd, Laird, Ridley, Stewart, C Jiath, Chapman (Kozi, Highmore, )
Mids – Macrae, Dunkley, Neale, Merrett, Taranto, Gulden, J Clark , Berry ( Powell, Brockman, Newchurch (102k loop))
Ruck- Gawn, Grundy (Flynn)
Forward – Dusty, Zieball, Warner, Daniher, Rowe, Fullerton (Bergman, Waterman)
Daniel and Butters to Impey and Ridley. Hate sideways trading but donut in the backline
Who’s more likely to get a recall down the track
TU- Sharp
TD- Highmore
Answorth’s pending return will not make it easy for young sharpy to break back into the side.
Brockman to Waterman
Daniel to Bowes
So many trades that I need to do, alas not enough trades
Didn’t get much feedback on the fix my team thing, so I’ll try again here
Current team:
DEF – Laird, Short, Daniel, Jiath, Clark, Cox (Highmore, Fyfe)
MID – Macrae, Fyfe, Merrett, Petracca, Taranto, Gulden, Campbell, Powell (Jordon, Brockman, McNeil)
RUC – Gawn, Flynn (Meek)
FWD – Dunkley, Martin, Heeney, Ziebell, Phillips, Warner (Rowe, Scott)
26 trades left with $17k spare in the salary cap.
What do you guys think I should do?
Would you even swing Jordan>Jones through Fyfe dpp? and possibly Heeney to a mid premo through Campbell

Same with the guy above, no feedback on fix your team post.
Bank: $146 000
Def: Laird, Short, Stewart, May, Clark, Chapman (Briggs, Highmore)
Mid: Macre, Oliver, Merrett, Petracca, Brayshaw, Gulden, Campbell, Jordon (Brockman, McNeil, Scott)
Ruck: Gawn, Flynn (Treacy)
Fwd: Dunkley, Martin, Walker, Ziebell, Warner, Daniher (Rowe, Bergman)
May has to go unfortunately.
Im thinking May and Scott out (via Dusty) for Ridley and Waterman
or
May and Scott (via Dusty) out for Jiath and Waterman and bank $241 300 for next premium upgrade.
or
Any suggestions that you think is better than my suggestions, thank you.
Get may out Daniel rich is a safe option always polling about 90-112
Depends how much cash you have left
Sholl is also a cheaper laird can be played on mid if you want to dispose of dusty
Certainly the situation where you could potentially be trading blind (due to the teams only being called a day before the match) is adding a Russian roulette feel to the game this year.
Especially when you might be forced to trade out a player from game one for another player who has yet to be confirmed.
Yeah, that’s the most annoying part of Supercoach. Also I missed the excitement of seeing all teams coming out on Thursday night.
Plan A version C.
After reading the Caleb Daniel’s poll thoughts. I think I’ll just persevere with him.
I will be now trading Butters to Waterman
Highmore to Bowes.
If Highmore plays I’ll trade Jordon and my left over cash to get best possible available Mid which could be Zerret/Oliver
TU: OUT: Daniel and Campbell. IN: Ridley and Waterman + 10k in the bank
TD: OUT: Kozy and Campbell. IN: Jones and Waterman + 213k in the bank
T/U – Campbell and Jordon > Waterman and Parks ($300k left)
T/D – Campbell and Daniel > Waterman and Ridley ($50k left)
Or instead of either of the above:
T/U – Campbell and Jordon > Waterman and Lachlan Jones ($260k left)
T/D – Campbell and Jordon > Waterman and Chapman ($200k left)
Have a big decision to make on the trade front this week and interested to hear what you guys think. I’d like to add Macrae and Oliver to my mids over the next few weeks too if possible.
I’m thinking one of the following scenarios:
TU: Daniher, Kosi > Waterman, Bowes (265k bank) [Keep Caleb Daniel and have full premium defence]
TD: Daniher, Daniel > Waterman, Bowes (590k bank) [Primed to pickup Macrae and Oliver over the coming weeks]
T/U – Heeney and Fantasia > Ridley and Waterman
T/D – Heeney and Daniher > Macrae and Waterman (via DPP)
What do you guys think? i decided to bench Daniel only one match out so i trade out
Braeden Campbell ,Paddy Dow > Changkuoth Jiath, Alec Waterman
I can’t decide which way to go upgrading a def
TU – Ridley 118k ITB
TD – Bowes 230k ITB
Comment with any other suggestions
Hey everyone, Hope your week is going well.
Currently thinking:
Daniel -> Ridley
Clark -> Cox
Cox has a BE of -44 compared to Clark’s 37 or so and will be handy when Zeibell gets DEF/FWD status. Also leaves me with $150k in the bank currently. If Finn Macrae does well, then next week I’ll likely go:
Jordon/Campbell -> Macrae
Kos/Highmore -> L. Jones
The Following week, assuming no injuries, I’ll probably have $250k – $300k in the bank for a significant upgrade. Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
Heeney > Warner and Clarke > Cj
Or just do the heeney trade as I have blown all my trades and need to start saving some ??
Going Campbell to waterman
Second trade;
TU; Clark > Bowes (can also go titch or dusty)
TD; Daniel > Bowes
If I hold Daniel it allows me to start upgrading this week. However, I would need highmore to be named in order to do so! Thoughts appreciated!
Koschitzke to
T/u Jones from Port a week early
T/d Get Chapman in before he goes up I price even more, get Jones the week after.
Hate trading players I picked as keepers so thinking of holding May and Heeney and trading Tom Green and Campbell to Jiath and Impey
T/U Good idea
T/D Jiath and Impey are fools gold. Trade May and Heeney to other keepers.
To early to decide a “good” keeper.
Things are a bit different this year, probably so we don’t adapt too quickly and make it unfair to non SCT people. (IMO of course)
Hey supercoach players Braeden Campbell BE is 71* so i decided to trade him.
good trade?
Braeden Campbell ,Paddy Dow > Changkuoth Jiath, Alec Waterman
Yep whenever a rookie’s BE is higher than their average, it’s time to flick them.
Rick..Its not quite that simple..
I think he’s worth holding.
Don’t stress my team isn’t that good either
Defense
Houston ,Jones (Carlton)
Jiath ,sholl
Cox ,Chapman
Bench Jones (port), parks
Mid
Dunkley , boak
Petracca, cripps
Gulden , mccrae
Bench : berry, Dawkins, sharp
Ruck : nankervis, hickey
Bench : Treacy
Forward
Tex , ziebell
Atkins , impey,
Pickett , Warner
Bench : waterman, Rowe
Let’s hope I do Better this round.
I did get rid of dusty for McRae with cash earnt so got some in the bank
So im looking to get a rookie defender who do you think is the best option take and job security too.
TU: L.Jones (Port Adelaide)
TD: R.Mansell (Richmond)
Comment other option.
L Jones by the length of the Flemington straight
Been reading herald sun supercoach news are you guys planning to trade B.Campbell.
Hunter > Waterman via Treacy? $102k threesome!
Doesn’t net me any cash but if Hunter isn’t named tomorrow night it’s hard to see him getting a game for the rest of the season. Also gets Rowe off the field. Just concerned as it puts me down to 25 trades remaining. Pull the trigger?
TU Bowes
TD Docherty.
L.Jones ….JS …DEF line is thin and need cover.
L Jones JS very looks very solid.
Bonner first, then Butters and Dursma injured.
I jumped on him last week 🙂
GDAY FREO.
Best of luck this weekend.
Is Jiath worth getting in now instead of sidewaysing a “premo”? Dow is getting the boot for waterman this week. Just wondering what to do with Daniel…
TU highmore> Jiath (hold daniel)
TD Daniel > Short
Hold til tonight.
Highmore might get named.
Good call!
What about instead: Kosi > Jiath?
T/U Clark to Ridley
T/D DeGoey to Steele
Cheers!!
I’d look at Dow > Waterman, May > Short
Daniel to
TU Lloyd
TD Laird
Which rookie should we be culling first?
TU – Kosi
TD – Highmore
TU : Keep J. Clark and trade in Waterman.
TD : Keep B. Campbell and trade in L Jones
A) Looking to trade Butters to Impey and Fantasia to Jiath which leaves me with $91,000 for next week
or
B) Fantasia to Jones and Butters out, Cambell to Forward and bring in J.Macrae
which leaves me with $71,000
Is there any news on Flynn and Hunter’s prospects of playing this week?
David, Saints team named tonight, 5 day turnaround for Marshall is a big ask, hes so important for their season
Hunter in if Marshall doesn’t pass fitness test. Flynn a good chance as Mumford may find it hard backing up against Hickey.
Probably not.
They sacked Hunter even when Marshall and Ryder were unavailable and ran McKernan as a ruck.
Hunter’s done, I think.
Rowan Marshall.
“He’s going well. He did a bit yesterday, he’s done a bit again today. He’s doing everything right so unless something pops up he’ll play.”
Brett Ratten
Dow>Waterman
TU: Campbell> Jiath
TD: Campbell>Impey
Or comment to hold second trade
TU to hold
TU: 100k Waterman and Ridley (90k banked)
TD: 2ook Chapman and Dunkley (not much left in bank)
Need some extra help
TU – Ridley 110k ITB
TD – Jiath 320 ITB
T/U: Atkins
T/D: Stringer (Helps get Bowes next week)
Ok I’m a little torn, this early in the season, I have 200k in the bank and have the following options.
Still gather rookies which would mean getting rid of some dud rookies Eg Sharp, McNeil, Scott traded out with Heeney.for
TU Waterman and Chapman with a booty of cash for premo’s next week
TD Petracca and one of Waterman or Chapman
Or keep Heeney and just go the rookie option and get Petracca next week.
I have no clue what’s better. TU and TD appreciated.
TU:Daniel to Bowes
TD: Daniel to Steele (less money banked)
TU: Daniel —> Bowes
TD: Daniel —> Short
Think both will be great, but want to hear other people’s opinions.
Trading Daniel:
T/U – Atkins
T/D – Impey
What’s everyone thoughts on Luke Ryan?
Need a pitta help with this one please community!
First Trade: Daniel > Ridley
Second Trade:
He likes to beat up on weaker sides – could kick a dozen if his sights are on-target.
T/U DeGoey and Butters to Waterman & Steele
T/D DeGoey and Butters to Stringer & Ridley
Went early on L.Jones last week to afford Young>Ridley. Looking to bring in Chapman this week and push Jones to D7 for backline cover.
Assuming both are named, who goes first
TU:Jordan
TD:Brockman
Holding Daniel,
Jordan to waterman
Campbell to Bowes via dpp
Tu/td
Fantasia is playing Carlton this week with a BE of 81. Thinking of trading him in this week as an eventual premo and hope he keeps getting 100+. Bear in mind I am down to 25 trades
TU: Fantasia -> CJ
TD:Hold
Thinking Butters and Daniel to L. Sholl and Ridley.
Ridley gives me 5 Def. premiums. Sholl gives me two D/M.
one in Def (Laird) and one in Mid. Dusty goes from mids to fwd.
Ridley yes, of course, but picking up Sholl feels like points chasing.
Jordon -> Jiath
Dow -> Waterman
TU: Yes, good trades
TD: Hold on Jordon
Dow probably has to go but is Waterman in Essendons best 22 and might not be there in a couple of weeks.
Jordon just needs ONE decent score to get his price moving. He’s earnt us almost nothing so far. Hold.
Agree, but concerned he will be dropped, and it may be a hard side to crack back in to. Might wait until teams are released, appreciate the input.
Jordan / McNeil / Brockman -> Chapman
Leaves me with 26 trades, grabbing Jones next week along with a potential upgrade of Clarke -> Brayshaw next week
Can someone explain why everyone is trading out Campbell over other underperforming rookies who are playing worse. Campbells js is much better than the likes of Brockman, Scott and McNeil and he is scoring much more. Why would you trade him???
Breakeven 71. One score over 56 which is about to drop out of his scores.
Other options I’m looking at are…
TU: Werh and Draper > Jones and O’brien (keeping faith in Daniel to have a similar year to last when he’s back)
TD: Daniel and Draper > Just go a bit off the rails with the trade and bring in DEF like Bowes or Short, and then a ruck like NicNat, Hickey or Darcy (not a fan of this one but thought I’d just chuck it out there
Defence:
Ridley, Lloyd, Laird, Short, Daniel, J.Clark / Kosi, Highmore
Looking at a donut if Kosi isn’t named.
TU: Daniel > Mills
TD: Daniel > Bowes
Comment: HOLD if Kosi named, Daniel will be OK… ?
Kozi to L Jones instead?
To avoid a donut down back this week I have a tricky decision to make. I am 60/40 on holding or trading Daniel. The alternative would be trading in L.Jones a week early for the likes of Kozi or Highmore. Would appreciate your thoughts!
T/U – Daniel -> Bowes
T/D – Kozi/Highmore -> Jones
Cheers,
B321
Id hold Daniel, if I had him. And I think Kozi would be my trade out option (still praying Highmore gets called back at some point!)
With Highmore not being named again and not even cracking emergencies and Frawley looking at coming through the VFL this week, is it time to give up hope and move him on.
Tu trade
Td hold
Who do you rate as a better rookie defender prospect…
(taking into account job security, scoring potential, and cash gen)
TU: Lachie Jones
TD: Heath Chapman
I’m eyeing both. Chappy proving to be a legit player means I don’t wanna miss him hitting 300k+ and being a decent point scorer.
Have both May and Daniel… already down to 24 trades and have 206k in the bank
Thinking of going –> May/Daniel to Steele/Jiath via DPP
Any ideas on what to do?
Campbell Daniher or Bergman for waterman
TU – Campbell
TD- Daniher
Comment – Bergman
I already posted this here before, but I’ll tell you why I’m posting it again.
Current team:
DEF – Laird, Short, Daniel, Jiath, Clark, Cox (Highmore, Fyfe)
MID – Macrae, Fyfe, Merrett, Petracca, Taranto, Gulden, Campbell, Powell (Jordon, Brockman, McNeil)
RUC – Gawn, Flynn (Meek)
FWD – Dunkley, Martin, Heeney, Ziebell, Phillips, Warner (Rowe, Scott)
26 trades left with $17k spare in the salary cap.
One way to go could be
1 Heeney out (Brockman to Fwd, Fyfe to Mid) Jones in. Covers Daniel.
2 Meek out Hickey in. Fixes Ruck
Hey guys, thoughts appreciated:
TU:
Highmore > Jiath
T Phillips > Waterman
$329k in the bank
TD:
Highmore > Steele (Via ddp)
T Phillips > Waterman
$74k in the bank
Trading what do you think?
b.campbell , P.Dow > A.Waterman, C.Jiath
Brayshaw
TU: Trade
TD: Hold
He will be 450k in a few rounds. Great price for a M8. Save the trade.
Brockman For Waterman T/U
Cambell For Waterman T/D
Highmore –> N. Cox
T. Phillips –> Impey
TU: do it
TD: save the trades
Trading Fantasia and Daniel
Who to bring in….
T/U – Impey and Jiath
T/D – Impey and Waterman + 295 k
Current Team.
Def: J Short, T Stewart, C Daniel, C Jiath, J Clark, T Highmore, (Sharp, Wehr)
Mid: Macrae, Oliver, Dunkley, Taranto, Dangerfield, Gulden, Campbell, Powell (Jordon, Brockman, Mcneil)
Ruck: Gawn Grundy (Hunter)
Fwd: Martin, Daniher, Walker, Heeney, Ziebell, Warner (Rowe, Bergman)
Need thoughts on trades to make. Think i’ll keep heeney on the bench and play dangerfield in the forward line jordon in the midfield.
maybe trade daniel for sholl. and highmore for lachie jones
TU- Dow and Daniel -> CJ and Chapman
TD- Daniel and Campbell -> Ridley and Jones
What do we think about Waterman’s JS?
Hi all, please help.
TU- Helmet Head > Ridley
TD- Brayshaw > Ridley/Steele
Depends on the look of your team
Playing for league down to 25 trades before this week
TU: One trade – Highmore to Jiath with a donut for Daniel
TD: Two trades – Jordon to Jones, (via DPP) Highmore to Jiath/Bowes
(Brockman on field in MID)
Cheers
Tu- Daniel and Campbell to danger and Jones
Td- Daniel and gulden to Steele and Jones
Have to trade gulden in order to get last bit of cash to get steele
TU – Campbell > Waterman
TD – Daniel > Ridley
TU – Ridley and Warner
TD – Houston and Impey
plz help
TU: Campbell > Waterman
TD: Hold the trade, leaves me with 26
TU: Lloyd + Stringer
TD: Scholl + Zorko
Comment: Rich + Hind
Rich + Hind
29 Trades left
TU: Daniel & Bruhn -> Bowes & Waterman (via DPP) 23k left
TD: Bruhn & Sharp -> Jones & Waterman (via DPP) – gives me 1 def bench going forward -$38k left
Daniel to:
T/U – Ryan
T/D – Stewart
Do I trade Daniher to waterman this round or go Daniher to mccreery next round? He doesn’t seem like a bad downgrade option
TU – Waterman
TD – Mccreery
TU Chapman
TD Jones
TU – Campbell>Waterman
Daniel>Ridley
TD – Just go straight Daniel > Bowes
Gonna have to cop potentially Treacy at R2 or hope that Mumford is a late scratch for Flynn..
Getting FOMO not having Ridley 2.0 aka Jack Bowes and Phillips is giving me the irrates given I didn’t start Impey (and view him at worst, F6 if he can stay healthy).
Daniel -> Bowes
T Phillips -> Impey
Worth doing?
Thoughts on who to trade .
Laird, Stewart, Short
Cumming, Clark, Jones (kosi, highmore)
Oliver, Merret, Mitchell
Walsh, Tarranto, Gulden, Powell,Jordan (Bruhn, Scott, Berry)
Dunkley, Ziebell, Hind,
Warner, Campbell, Waterman ( Brockman, Rowe)
Have already traded Butters to Waterman this round and have $464000 in bank.
Thoughts appreciated.
