  2. Ranked strongly but in a horrendous position with cash gen.. might have to hold up on the upgrade cadence and let a couple of good rookies fatten up really get every last cent out of them. I Had plans to move on ginbey, jvr and ashcroft but all have had strong outings this week so should keep the cash ticking. Got dead rookies like roberts, Johnson madden and Constable doing nothing. Davey is dead to me as well.

What a f***ed year of supercoach.

  3. Hopper and Chandler out, Me thinks, none of the guns* I don’t have set the world a light ( Steele, Brayshaw, green) I have ok bench cover in mids. None on any other lines. Is it worth waiting a week to see if gawn and Sam Walsh get the forward status?

  4. I’ll be grabbing Matt Kennedy (CARL). Had some continuity issues early, was best on as the sub and then had a full MID game this week. Role and impact were good.

Not ideal but with only 2x live bench rookies in Drury and Mitchell going Hopper -> Kennedy will net 100k.

Did 96.7 last year. It’s a bit of a punt and not kidding myself about what he can do, but it’ll work for my rabble of a side.

    1. As a blues fan, i really rate him , don’t know why he was dropped earlier in season but not sure he worth the gamble, if voss drops some one he normally drops them again( for honey don’t get me started ), I don’t have the balls to back him in, but will be a massive pod and I wish you success .

      1. The fact he was dropped, played off HB and Ed Curnow of all people was favoured over him, is something I still can’t wrap my head around.

    2. 7 TDs only making me want to do it more lol!

Look, it’s not a guarantee but don’t have the scratch to take Hopper UP – hence the thinking around Kennedy.

      1. I’m thinking of going Hooper to Redman in one trade.

Bombers with a great run coming up. High ceiling but very low floor. Hoping he can iron out some of those lower games and get on a roll.

Basically nets me another “Keeper” without having to do a dodgy downgrade.

Rookies on field then would be Ashcroft / S Ryan and one of Cincotta or Hollands.

        1. I’ve had a re think.

I need Oliver. The plan was always to turn Hooper into Clarry.

The time is now. Welcome Satan.

    3. I actually just come here to suggest matt Kennedy myself but you’ve beaten me to it GD. I watched the blues dogs game Saturday night and he really caught my attention so looked at his scores and price and got me thinking! It’s definitely an option for me this week. I need to start making some big moves to push further into the top 1k and my cash gen is cooked.

      5

        1. He’s my real value balls out sort of play. My other option is JDG again could just as easily derail your season but provides value for what he can produce.. nice run of games at the MCG to.

Got a few big decisions ahead this week and some digging for value.

            1. A few ideas to consider, although they are risks.
Sheed WCE – lowest 87 and will have the role if fit.
Rivers MEL – lowest of 69 and has played every game consistently scoring
Very crazy, but might come off.

            2. $ 229,600 in the bank 17 trades
              DE: Dawson,diacos,Stewart,Sinclair,Day,Wilmot (waddle, cowen)

MID: Bondi, Oliver, green, gulden, conigilo, hopper, ashcroft, baker
              (Constable,cincciota,mat jhonson)

              Ruck: English, Marshall (madden)

FO: Taronto , dunkley, rozee, shezel, chandler,S mitchell
              ( M.Roberts, Davey)

Hopper injuried and chandlers break even is high any suggestions how can I improve my team?

              1. Guy you could do this.
                Hopper and Chandler out.
                Shift Gulden to the FWD.
                Merrett & Sharp in.
Can also go Baker to Drury if you want to take a punt on him to generate cash. Swap Drury to the bench & Cincotta onfield.

    4. I’m onboard GD he’s a 90-95 average midfielder as a Carlton supporter he’s back in the guts and looking great after his injury management.

I have no cash on the bench Chandler to him is a no brainer.

      1

      0
      1. Chandler to Kennedy via DPP is exactly the move I am looking at.

I just hope Voss and the selectors give him a decent go and play him in the guts. He is good enough to be a 90-95 average M8/M9.

  5. 22 trades $45k in bank 3 trade boosts
    DEF – Dawson Daicos Stewart
    Ziebell Wilmot cincotta
    (Atkins, cowan)

MID – Bont, Trac, Oliver, Laird
    Green Hopper Ashcroft Baker
    (Johnson, constable , Chesser)

    RUCK – English Marshall (Madeen)

    FOR – Dunkley Taranto Rozee
    Gulden Sheezel Mitchell
    ( roberts , Davey)

Little lost what to do, happy with amount of trades left but no much cover. Trac was good on debut. Any thoughts or suggestions?

    1

    2
    1. I’m in a similar situation with regard to Hopper having to be traded out but no decent rookies to trade in.
Im looking at Kennedy from Carlton but still undecided.
I would be trading Cowan, Wilmot, Baker and getting either Docherty or Sicily, Kennedy and a rookie.

    1. The MIDs are legit so shitty.

Bont, Dawson and Satan the obvious top tier.

In the next bracket I’d have Libba, Racca, Serong, Merrett and even Anderson.

Of those, Zerrett the cheapest and has the best fixture. Libba fantastic but you’ve said you can’t do last bye. Anderson a bit of a points chaser pick but has a fantastic bye and also solid. Really any of them, Olie.

Green also a great buy if you don’t already have him.

Just DON’T go Neale, Cripps, Brayshaw, Mills, Steele or Baird.

  6. Any love for Bailey Humphrey & Harry sharp this week as downgrade options?

Humphrey has JS I would think & starting to look confident at the level.

Any Brisbane supporters got a feel for sharps JS, playing a wing is a risky selection as can have quite games but he work hard up & back

    11

    0
    1. I like the Humphrey call, Hynsi.

JS, makes 50k with another 50 and plays through byes.

Sharp and Berry on the bubble but have dicey JS. Lot of like types and returning 22 players who can chop them out.

You’ve got me onto Humphrey, I think.

      8

  7. Cincotta, Mckenna > Sheather, D Cameron.

Dependent on whether Cincotta is dropped and Cameron is selected. I only have $123,100 to play with for the rookie and there are no decent options under this price that are actually getting a game.

  8. Who’s best bubble boy this week? Have a feeling Drury might get dropped after a 17.

    T/U – Harry Sharp

    T/D – Tom Berry

  9. Do I need to trade Hopper and LDU this week?
Can anyone tell me extent of injuries? I have Laird and Steele too……

    2

    0
    1. CT will update but the latest word and whispers are:

      Hopper: will miss weeks
LDU: no certainty to play next week
Baird & Steele: precautionary, will play next week

      9

      0
      1. I agree with your assessment GD, except LDU might be more in the doubtful category.

After all their scans I will update ASAP in Coaches box.

  10. Beveridge why dont you just put Macrae in the CB.
    What to do with Macrae

    TU: Trade him
    TD: Hold

    5

    26
  11. TU Merret +51k
    TU serong +7.9k

Starting to have little cash gen rookies coming through at the moment, am leaning towards merret as my midfield contains – Bont, Trac, Oliver, Walsh & laird

    21

    7
    1. Can someone explain the love for Merrett to me?

Averages 11 less, with as many scores under 100 as above, also only gone 120+ once.

Whereas Serong only sub 100 first game, with 4 scores 120+

      3

      0
      1. It’s a bit multi-faceted:
        – Upcoming schedule – Richmond, West Coast and North in the next 3 weeks; plays West Coast and North twice and during Supercoach finals
        – Parish out for at least 1-2 more weeks means one less prolific mid to take away scoring
        – Strong finish to last season, especially post-bye
        – Definitely on the low end of his price cycle although still sitting at a 120BE so he isn’t essential this week

        – Check your bye structure too – for me, Serong works better bye-wise but I’m increasingly talking myself into getting both this week although I’ll be saying goodbye to Hollands and Baker to do so

        3

        0
  12. McKenna, Buckley > Humphrey, Stewart

Leaves me only $900 but with Day at D6 backline is done

    TU: Yes do it
    TD: Not worth it

    18

    0
    1. Rounding to nearest 5 and taking out Stewart’s 18:

      Buckley (85) -> Stewart (120) = +35

Are there any other trades you can do that will net more points? Eg. an M8 doing 60 to a 115 MID is obviously preferable.

If not, then roll with Buckley to Stew np.

      8

      0
      1. Thanks GD solid advice!

Can’t really get a 115avg mid unless i use my last boost to boot Davey > Sharp. Then i have $639.6k if i want to upgrade Ashcroft.

Do want Davey out but not sure going to Shape is worth the trade / boost

        4

        0
  13. TU: B Smith
    TD: Doch

want pods, last year smith started slow and got going 2nd half
however my rd 15 bye is an issue that can be sorted later

    6

    9
    1. Nah, Bill. That ain’t it. “Want pods” is no way to select premos. Unless they’re actually competing with like priced options then they’re ownership differential and you’re just punishing yourself.

The following all ahead of Smith & Doch:

Daicos, Dawson, Ryan, Ziebell, Sicily, Stewart, Sinclair and Saad. Even a case for Redman at his price.

If you really rate Doch & Smith at Top 6 competitive picks, then go for it but the POD aspect is irrelevant – especially if a more basic, popular pick that everyone but you owns starts putting them on blast.

To Doch and Smith, Doch really needs to settle into a role before being considered. All over the place and really taking a lot for him to ton rn. Smith, for mine, a no. Still averaging 83 even after the weekend’s large one – sorta past it for SC.

      Best of luck.

      6

      3
        1. Sorry, thought you were talking about Brodie Smith and defenders.

Bailey Smith, with FWD status, is a good pick. Yeah.

          5

    1. Changing of the guard. Butters and Rozee have his role which is a large reason why Port are going better IMO. Faster ball movement is what its all about nowadays.

      2

      0
    2. If he can average 90-100 he could be a viable m8 for those cash strapped among us like me who have LDU, Hopper etc

  14. Current team with 200k for upgrades
Def: Dawson, Stuart, Ziebell, Daicos, Day, Sheezel (T young, Weddle)

    Feeling good
Mids: Bont, Clarry, Anderson, Holmes, wood, Ashcroft, Wilmont, Cincotta, (Johnson, chesser, Dury)

    Not great

    Ruck : RoMo, English, madden

Forwards: toranto, Dunkley, Gulden, Rozee, Cogs, Chandler: ( Smitchell, Davey)

    Pretty good.

Was hoping to boost and double upgrade this week but that’s not looking likely.

Chandler to Darcy Cameron is trade 1.

Was thinking about trading Ashcroft but thinking against it right now given his occasional big score, and not enough cash to get someone good.

    Anyone got any thoughts?

Ideally looking for a player on the round 14 bye as 2nd upgrade

    1

  15. TU: michalanney > sharp to get hopper>ryan into my backline finishing it, making my Defence = Dawson, Ziebell, daicos, Sinclair, day, RYAN (Atkins, weddle)

TD: michalanney> sharp, hopper> serong. Making my midfield = Oliver, Anderson, setterfield, serong, laird, Ashcroft, mcvee, cincotta (baker, roberts, constable)

My midfield is extremely weak but my defence and fwd line have one rookie on each line. Is it worth bolstering my midfield instead of finishing my defence?

    2

    9
  16. Is there any world where we can hold Hopper if it’s just the one week? Alot of people were talking about him finishing M8 or our very last upgrade before his injury or is this the time to grab an Oliver or petracca?

    Tu- hold
    Tu- trade

    6

    25
    1. If it’s one week, I’m holding. Affordable mid options for me aren’t great and trades are getting more and more precious. Would prefer to upgrade a rookie if possible

      5

      0
      1. I think I agree Joe.
Has the R15 bye so would be happy to flip him at his bye.
But don’t want to hold and the 1 week calf all of a sudden turn into 2-3.

        1

        1
        1. The problem with holding Hopper is that 43 means he will most likely bleed money. We got him as a stepping stone, so better to trade him while the cashes still there. He could be back at $350k by his bye if you keep him.

          8

          0
          1. The AFL website are reporting Hopper will miss “weeks” with a medium calf strain.

It’s a dead set trade for me.

            6

            0
  17. Any word on Macrae getting fwd status? What is the update on his mid/fwd %? Thinking trade this week unless he’s on track.

    1

    1. Very very close just 0.1% in it as of round 9, depends on next rounds?

      Too close to call.

      1

    1. How long is mills out for?
      How’s your buy structure?
Is the extra 20k for the stable scoring of Titch worth it?

      0

      0
  18. Other then $h¡t scores from a lot of Premo’s and CD shenanigans I managed to avoid the injuries this weekend other then Hopper so pretty simple for me this week.

Hopper & McKenna to Stewart and Sharp leaves me over $100k to assist with another upgrade next week and completes my backline with Haynes at D6 for the time being.

    9

    0
    1. Wait a week. Low BE but want to see how they use/ease him back into the team with Cox and coming back from his injury

      12

      1
  19. Current structure of my team with premos
    6 in defence
    4 in midfield
    2 in ruck
    6 in forward
Is it still worth it to trade hopper to Dcam knowing after the byes one of the forwards will have to take up a midfield spot
TU: yes DCam can be that ruck/fwd swing
TD: No work on filling the midfield instead

    5

    11
    1. It’s a calf issue, which would normally be 2-3 weeks.

Will need to wait for the injury update to be sure.

      5

  20. First trade done davey to sharp
Next is one of the below to Oliver and I Don’t mind holding Hopper for his 1 week if hes the better long term player at M8.

    Trade
    TU . Hopper
    TD . Ashcroft

    19

  21. Can someone remind me – do we still get the ability to use 3 trades by default during the bye rounds, or is it all based around trade boosts only now??

    6

    0
  22. Hopper > M Kennedy
    Baker > Sharp
Davey > D Cameron via Sheezel DPP

I think the GD Kennedy move is a risk worth taking. It’s either that or I rely on my bench to carry in Hopper’s absence.

    5

    3
  23. Any love for Fyfe yet?
Cant see him being the sub for much longer.
Seems to be attending plenty of stoppages.
    F6 anyone.

    6

    0
    1. Given his big BE, I think we can see how he goes next 2 weeks. He then has the bye R12, so we can bring him in R13. We have 3 weeks of best 18, so having him onfield for those 3 weeks feels like a risk free gamble. If we can upgrade around him, then keep him as F7/M9. If we need his cash, we can downgrade him to a rookie and put the money towards a premo. Feels like he will be a bit of a free swing.

      12

      0
  24. Uut – Hopper, Chandler and one of Ashcroft/caminiti

    TU – Gulden, Walsh, H.Sharp

    TD – Gulden, D.Cameron, Dochety

second option can only be done with Ashcroft out.
also not sold on Doc, and D.Cam, with his first game back and how well cox did. could D.Cam play more forward.

    9

    6
  25. Been running S.Ryan at R2 with Marshall, is English still a genuine must have or can Darcy / Witts – thinking Darcy though match him for the rest of the season?

TU – English a must have – wait for him to bottom out

TD – Darcy can match him for remainder of season

    Cheers guys

    5

    18
  26. Cannot split, unfortunately can’t afford Trac Or Clarry and I have a plethora of R15 players. TBH not really a fan of either :s

    TU Neale
TD Serong (Need to use last boost on Rowston to Sharp)

    4

    17
    1. I’d use Serong, surprisedly hasn’t let me down yet. With some tall timber coming back to the Pies, JDG has now got to be a consideration and a tick over 500k shows great value. Always a great big time player, with the Blues and the Demons coming up in the next month throw the Roos and the WCE and I reckon we’re up for some big scores.

      6

      0
  27. Two options this week both im happy with, keen to hear thoughts.

    TU: C.Jones + N.Long > Lloyd & Berry
    TD: C.Jones + N.Long > Neale & Drury ($ the issue)

    7

    1
  28. Holding LDU at this stage to save a trade and hope he is only out for a week or two.
Out goes Hopper, Baker & Chandler
In comes Sharp, Merrett & Darcy Cameron (Assuming he plays.)
Gives me 4/6/2/6 keepers with 16 trades left.

If LDU is going to be longer and Cameron is not picked its back to the drawing board.

    4

  29. Hopper -> De Goey
    Davey -> Sharp
    OR
    McKenna -> Humphrey
    (By swinging Sheezel to DEF)

    TU: Davey -> Sharp
    TD: McKenna -> Humphrey

    2

    3
  30. Thoughts on Matt Kennedy? If he gets CBAs he has a ceiling, and could roll to the byes at his price?

    3

    2
  31. Chandler > Sharp
    Hopper > Merrett
    Mills > Serong

    Leaves me with 75k ITB
If D.Cameron goes well this week plan is to bring him in next week.

Is 600k+ too much for serong? The bye suits and he seems the real deal. Thoughts appreciated!

    Tu or Td

    12

    1
  32. Out McKenna, English, hopper + 306k
    In Merrett, DCam, Walsh

Pros. Getting 3 premos, English a failed pick, since I got him has averaged only 100 over 3 games

Cons DCam may not play this round

    TU or Td

    1

    19
  33. T/U: Walsh – Pretty bad for my bye structure but should be top 8 mid and if he gets fwd status will be guaranteed F1-3.

T/D: Serong – Much better for my bye structure and I believe will be very close to top 8 mids.

    4

    17
  34. 22 Trades ; 2 Boosts

Do I use my boost, go down to 19 trades and do the following…

McKenna -> Humphrey (Sheezel to DEF)
    Hopper -> De Goey
    Davey -> Sharp

    TU: Yes
    TD: No

    12

  35. Not havng Gulden is making me nervous. Is he a must have or am i chasing last weeks points. Back to BAck 150+ and North this week.

    TD Bailey Smith – Sicily

What do you think about the best fwds moving forward?

  37. Two options im thinking.

Tu: McKenna, Buckley, Davey > Humphrey, Stewart, Sharp

Td: McKenna, Buckley, Ashcroft > Sinclair, Rowell / T Kelly, Sharp

First option nets me uber premium, $71k and Humphrey for cash but would have Atkins / Cincotta, Ashcroft, Ginbey and S Mitchell on field.

Second option removes a rookie on field but i have no cash coming through (Cincotta, Weddly, Davey, Rowston, Drury, Roberts, Madden my other emergencies).

I could go Redman instead of Sinclair which allows me to get Humphrey

    8

    1
  38. Bailey Humphries worth a look? Expensive I know but with trades drying up I need someone whose JS looks good and good bye structure.
    TU good move
TD just go a Sharp and pocket cash

    10

    10
  39. desperate times, finding sc not as enjoyable this season..cant afford the premiums so which would you prefer.
    TU – Matthew Kennedy
    TD – Redman

  40. Mills & Hopper need to go. Hello D. Cameron!

    Undecided on the next move:
TU Bailey Smith (M/F) +$12K ITB
TD Liam Baker (D/F)+ $50K ITB

    Thanks SuperCoaches!

    15

  41. McKenna, Baker, Ashcroft > Sharp, Berry, D. Cameron+ 230K for future upgrades.

    T/U – Rate it
    T/D – Nope

    Cheers guys!

  42. Is anyone else worried about the potential tags Oliver may cop the next 2-3 weeks? SPP kept him to 60ish last season….

    Tu: get him
Td : grab libba or tracc instead

    13

  43. TU – Stewart
TD – merret plus 51k ITB

Do like the merret pick but don’t have Dawson or Stewart in my defence and feel like I’m missing out each week

  46. Chandler and Hopper out
    Humphrey in
and have 640K to spend on a mid/fwd.
    TU: Serong
    TD: De Goey
Comment: Anderson, Rowell, Walsh or anyone else.. 🙂

    1. How’s your bye structure? In either case, Serong has been the more consistent scorer thus far but De Goey can put up those big scores in big games. At 501k it’s hard to ignore him, but also consider where you will end up putting the extra money towards too. If you don’t have an obvious target Serong could be well worth the extra $$ as he’s definitely around the Top 8-10 mark

      1. Bye structure is pretty solid but De Goeys 501k is tempting.
Guess the question is go safe for hopefully consistency or ride the roller coaster of risk

  47. Whos the more must have in your side (given current price and upcoming bye structure.

    Tu: Stewart +additional 50k inb
    Td: Dawson (who offers dpp)

  48. What to do with Cripps? Traded him in two weeks ago, terrible scores and a 189BE with next 3 games against COL, SYD and MEL looking likely to drop to low $500s.

TU: Trade to Walsh or Serong
    TD: Hold

  49. I’ve already been hit hard with injuries in my midfield this season to LDU, Touk, Parish and now Mills. I am quickly running out of trades and am wondering should I just park Mills on the bench for the next month or so.

    TU: Yes, save the trades
TD: No, too much money sitting on the bench

  50. thinking trades this week….
    -18 left, $1900 and 1 boost
-trade out hopper and ginbey, bring in gulden and weddle
-put zeibell in def and put s.mitchell in forward, than put weddle in defense (could substitute weddle for cincotta)
-or…could use last trade boost, trade out hopper, ginbey and ratugolea (ratugolea is in ruck sub) bring in either t.mitchell or gulden to put in mid, than horne-francis in mid or fwd and n.madden in ruck. having to keep in mind I wont have any additional boosts for bye rounds and ill be left with 15 trades and for some bye rounds ill only have one ruck as madden isnt playing.

    Current team:
    Def:
    Dawson, Daicos, Sicily
    Ginbey, Wilmont, S.mitchell
    (Cincotta, Wagner)

    Mid:
    Bont, Oliver,
    Laird, Green, Butters,
    Hopper, O.Baker, Atkins.
    (Davey, Uwland, Drury

    Ruck:
    English, Marshell (Ratugolea)

    Fwd:
    Taranto, Dunkley, Zeibell,
    Rozee, Conigilo, Sheezel
    (Van Rooyen, Phillipou)

    1. Great looking team zara!

Save the boost, never know when it’ll come in handy. Having Esava as R3 cover for the next while is a smart move so I wouldn’t be looking to trade just yet.

Gulden is in hot form and Weddle is still decent enough price-wise with JS so not the worst option to bring in. Shame it’ll be tricky to loop D6 given Wagner’s team plays early. All the best

  52. Pretty happy with this trade, does leave me pretty cash poor for next round tho.

    Hopper, Caminiti > Merrett, Sharp

    T/U – Good Trade
    T/D – Not enough value

    Or comment
Swing Sheezel to D5 and bring in Cogs.

  55. Which trade?
TU Hopper + Davey to A Brayshaw +H Sharp
TD Hopper + Simpson to Laird + H Sharp

  56. Have done hopper and baker to Merrett and humphries. Is it worth it to boost and do Davey to sharp? Will have 19 trades and 2 boosts left. It’s for a bench spot.
    TU yes get Davey out
    TD waste of a trade

  57. For those who kept Will Setterfield, me included, some bad news- he will miss weeks due to a foot fracture sustained in last weeks game.

  58. Seeing a lot of coaches bring in Sharp, Berry and Humphries but I don’t really see the attraction.

Sharp – will be 1st one out probably when Rich returns.

Berry and Humphries – with Holman and Ainsworth likely to return and maybe Flanders as well I see Berry getting dropped and Humphries having much less opportunity to score. Sure they have the most favorable bye but only works if they are playing.

The bloke I am really looking at is Francis of Sydney – but only if he plays back. Great job security and round 12 bye not so bad.

If Steele is a late out (I am definitely feeling an impending FURL moment coming) then would Bytel get a full game as he could be a good option. Seems to be next ‘cab off the rank’.

    What are the coaches thoughts?

  59. Great comments Shaggy.

Drury should hold with the North injuries and could come good, He doesn’t help my Round 15 bye though so I’m going to pass.

Totally agree about the Suns boys. Sharp is a harder one. Rich may still be a few weeks away and they wont risk him at his age. Sharp is a fantastic runner, and a pure winger, he also allows Wilmont to play down back in his natural position. Ah Chee and Roberston have been very good in the twos and are also pushing for spot. Saying all that Brisbane like to back in their boys especially when they are winning. Fagan has come out and said he doesn’t like to change the team if he doesn’t have too. Sharp is probably still my preferred downgrade this week.

Bytel is on my radar, $116K is so cheap for what he is capable of if given a full game. A BE of 42 and many injuries already this year, mean I’m happy to wait a week. I will watch him closely and even if he goes ~60 he will still be Rookie priced and will reset his BE.

  60. McKenna, Hopper & Chandler OUT
    INS can be either –
TU : Stewart, Merrett & Sharp with $88,700 ITB, or
TD : Stewart, DeGoey & Humphrey with $62,300 ITB

Still thinking strongly about Walsh but his R15 bye hurts.

    8

    7
    1. Merret i reckon – Plays Richmond, West Coast and North Melbourne who are all incredibly easy to score against. Demons have a tougher few games.

      2

  61. T/U – Baker out, Zerret in
    T/D – Cowan out, D Cameron in

Comment – Downgrade to Sharp, Baker to Oliver next week

  62. Trying not to blow all my cash but need ruck cover and still have 3 rookies + Ashcroft and Sheezel on field (19 trades, $108 itb)

TU: Hopper and McKenna -> D Cameron & M Kennedy

TD: Van Rooyen, Hopper and McKenna -> DeGoey, D Cameron & Drury

Comment: Hopper and McKenna -> Merrett and T Berry

So many options, none of them great

  63. Two forced changes this week – Hopper & Setterfield and I have 191k ITB.

Going to use my final boost to do the following trades:

Chandler to Drury (subject to selection, Sharp the other option)
    Hopper to Walsh
Setterfield to Tom Stewart via DPP

Helps with my bye structure and I plan to move Walsh forward if he gets Forward status.

Leaves me with 73k ITB for next week.

    T/U Good trades

    T/D Nope, have another look

    Comments welcome.

  64. Is using last boost for Davey to Sharp worth it?

Tu: yes, the 71k will be valuable as it looks like no decent rookie options on bubble next week

Td: best to save it in case any injuries occur this week

    6

    8
  65. With a lot of M Kennedy talk (that I’m 50/50 onboard with) I’m wondering if Hobbs is a better option. At $332.9k he is $15k cheaper than season opening price after starting as sub in first game back (nasty 28 points).
With Parish out last week, he took on mid field accountability and jumped to 83. With Settlefield now also out, he’s a lock for genuine midfield minutes. None of the role / B22 uncertainty of Kennedy.
    TU – stick to Kennedy @ $347.3k
TD – Hobbs @ $332.9k is better option
Comment on mid price madness …

    5
  66. Have to trade out Hopper and LDU

TU: Merrett & Humphrey (Bank 180k and good for bye coverage)
TD: DCameron & any midfielder under $465k (Maybe Zorko, Dusty, or Matt Kennedy)

    9

    2
  67. Don’t rly want to get rid of baker but only way to get top 8 mid or could just boost to save baker
TU: Hopper, Baker > Serong, Sharp
TD: Hopper, Johnson, Davey> Serong, Sharp, Drury

    2

    4
  68. Hopper + LDU > D Cameron + Redman

Means missing cash gen options this round, but leaves me with only rookies on field Atkins D6, Ashcroft M8, S Mitchell / JVR loopholing at F6

    TU – yes to above
TD – bring in cash gen rook this week instead of Redman and play wilmot on field.

    4

    9
  69. Bit of of complicated one – 1 boost left and trying not to use it if I can, but I’d love to get my rookie options off-field where possible as I have 6 on-field currently. I’m not sold on any bubble boys this week and Humphrey feels like Rory Atkins 2.0 who I already have. Some combination of Ridley, A. Davey, Holland or Roberts needs to be traded this week. Deciding if I should boost to bring in two big mid guns or play around with some cheaper options..

Tu: 2 trades -> Young, De Goey, 5 rookies on field

Td: Use the boost -> Merrett, Serong, 5 rookies on field but I’d have to bring in Sharp, Drury etc. on my bench

    1

    4
    1. Baker good JS and not likely to lose much value. Decent cover for any one week injuries if you need to save a trade. Probably one of the last rookies to go for a lot of teams imo

  70. Out: Hopper, Chandler & Hollands/Baker.

    TU: Butters & Libba

      1. Sharp probably survives till the bye and then out for Rich. He’ll need injuries to stay in. A dead rookie through the byes is not good. Oliver a must have. Humphrey good js. I didn’t vote by the way but that’s probably the thinking. Ashcroft will also be handy for R14/15.

        6

  73. Having thoughts about doing English > Gawn as a cash generating trade.

Would allow me to boost and double upgrade this week while avoiding some of the rookie carnage

    In Gawn, Merrett, Warner

    TU/TD

  74. Hey team !

Would appreciate thoughts on a couple of options:

TU: Chandler, Hopper, Baker –> Drury, Zerrett, DCameron

    TD: Chandler, Hopper –>Humphrey, Walsh

    4

    4
  75. TU – Stewart & Sharp
    TD – Cameron & humpfrey

Cameron’s bye really doesn’t suit me but I feel like sharp will be dropped

My cash gen is also a bit cooked at the moment

    1

    2
    1. Brisbane: Harry Sharp. “Over the last 2-3 years his body has got a bit bigger and stronger so he’s going better in those contested situations. He just needs games in a row now to make him feel like he really belongs at the level.” Chris Fagan

  76. Now that Drury wasn’t dropped, and Humphrey kept his place also –
TU – trade in Drury – cheaper but with dreaded R15 bye
TD – trade in Humphrey – $110K more expensive but better bye

Drury had the stinker score of 17 last week so more worried about his JS than Humphreys – but the extra money in the bank would be mighty helpful.
Not considering Sharp as I want a DPP player.

  77. 18 trades 1 boost left. Thinking I better get
Clayton Oliver in . I Could have gone for a value option and kept Ashcroft .

McKenna, Ashcroft, Baker > Oliver, Humphrey, Drury.

  78. 1 boost left
TU: Hopper, Baker > Merrett, Sharp
TD: Hopper, Roberts, Johnson/Davey jnr> Merrett, Sharp, Drury

Using a boost gets more cash gen and saves baker from being traded but it’s obviously using an extra trade and the last boost

    3

  79. TU: Chandler, Wilmotand Hopper to Gulden, Cameron and Sharp (using last boost)
TD: Chandler and Hopper to Walsh and Sharp

  80. Matt Rowell $542,000
    Scores: 119, 94, 77, 51, 109, 124, 108, 85, 165
    Breakeven: 55
    Bye: sexy round 13

Want to take 2 of Rowell, de goey & merrett…
Probably like merretts role the least of the 3 and he’s the priciest.

  81. Need both of these two in my team for structure just not sure which to get this week. Should probably wait a week on both but need one now.
    TU: Z Merrett

  83. Already done McKenna to Humphrey. What to do with my remaining two trades?
T/U: Madden, Hopper to Sharp, Docherty
T/D: Davey, Hopper to Sharp, Ziebell

    0

    4
  84. TU: Serong (has the delicious Round 12 bye and fits my bye structure)
TD: Walsh (currently doesn’t fit my bye structure, but I still have 3 boosts remaining and can worry about that later)

    4

    3
    1. LDUs expected extended break forced my hand and looks like I am going
LDU, Hopper & Chandler to Ziebell, Sharp & Merrett & $131k ITB
      aiming to go
Baker & Ashcroft out to Stewart & Fleeton & $100k ish ITB next week.

  86. Is it worth a boost for a double downgrade? Have 2 left

    T/U – JVR to Sharp
    T/D – JVR to Humphrey

Other trades are Hopper and Davey to a premo mid and Drury

    2

    2
  87. 19 trades left, no boosts.

TU – Out Hopper/Cowan to Humphrey/Sharp. Then following week Wilmot to Daicos with banked $$$$.

    TD – Out Hopper/Wilmot to Sharp/Daicos. 2 trades only.

Just comes down to is Humphrey a must get for mooing?

  88. I’ve made two trades this week.

Considering boosting to trade van Rooyen to Drury to allow an upgrade next week.
