Might be time to move off of Caleb Daniel, if he’s not finding the pill then he scores POORLY, plus he offers absolutely nothing if he’s not distributing out of half back for North so he may get a spell in the two’s (don’t think he will but it’s a possibility). I may have more pressing issues but with cash gen seemingly drying up my hand may be forced if I’m trying to upgrade. He was always a stepping stone/expensive rookie in my eyes and in that context he’s done his job and then some.
Bice can probably go too, he’s been a brilliant cow but if Cox is insistent on playing 40 HBF every week his scoring is going to dry up (hey, similar problem to what Caleb’s having!)
But all that being said, Clarry is being relegated to tagging roles he’s playing that poor, do I need to move off of him? Jayden Short has been awful and then when he plays against the team that gives up points to half backs for fun, he’s a late out! Do I need to move off of him? Ned Long has been a good cow but threw up a stinker, cooking his cash gen, and Tom Mitchell is knocking down the door in the VFL, do I need to move him on?
I have too many problems and only 2, potentially 3 trades to fix them. Desicions desicions…
Yeah all facing similar problems. Im personally chopping Daniel now, have 7 round 12 bye premos so this helps, plus have Warner and JHF in mids so will swing one fwd. Personally id be chopping clarry and Short before Bice. Bice still has the role and could make his BE. Clarrys role is shot if doing run with roles and Short is not a great sc pick with low contested posessions and ability to butcher it
Nope – there are 3 premo defenders who are primed right now to pick up – Clark, Sinclair, Holmes. If you don’t have any of them I’d go for them over Luke Ryan.
I agree those three are all worthy acquisitions, however for the price and what he can produce I believe Ryan is well and truly worth a shot, especially as funds become tight and downgrades slim you need to take what you can get.
All this rage over Sinclair, he’s been bailed out by some late goals recently. Have a look at his most recent Heat Map on DFS Australia. I’ll be passing another week, still has BE of 106.
Why trade Fonti whos on the bubble unless hes dropped? Yes didnt score much but i dont see him getting dropped. Only competition is stone and he looks better
Okay, got a bunch of concerning players in my team, either not being consistent of peaking BE wise. Don’t know who to prioritize to trade out at this point. Currently have $357k ITB with 24 trades
Bice
Carroll (on the bench)
Leake (on the bench)
Cerra
Oliver
Hall (on the bench)
Daniel
Hewett
Cleary (on the bench)
Kako (on the bench)
Flynn (FLEX)
I think Oliver is a must trade now, Rice is ready to be harvested but may still throw up some scores, so that’s a risk. Your other rookies are likely to hover around the same price, but I’d use your bank to upgrade Kako.
Of course didn’t want to use last boost on short upgrade to Sinclair and then shorts a late out and cop a zero as has hustweight on field. Done trade do I also trade rice to L.Ryan???
I have too many inconsistent premos. I don’t wanna pay up that much for Xerri but seems like I may have to, missing so many big scores atm. My other initial thought is Long to Rozee instead of Meek to Xerri. TU/TD?
Daniel probably less possible upside than Rowell, but Rowell loses more money in a lot of cases and both probably have to go. Rowell more likely to have a return to relevance maybe.
This is where I’m at for now, probably not burning a boost and sideways trading 3 players by the end of the week but see how we go:
OUT: Short, Clarry, Daniel
IN: El-Hawli, Clark, Libba, 130k ITB.
Leaves me with one boost left.
My rationale is that Short is not a premos and I trust Bice to score more than him, so out he goes. Clarry is in awful form and I trust Long to score more than him, so out he goes. Daniel was always a stepping stone and I have Chad in the midfield waiting to be swung forward, so out he goes. Clark to me is the best of the budget DEF this week, but I could easily see him being NWM or Sinclair by the end of the week. Libba is a proven performer now and to be able to pick up someone averaging 115 for 560k is a bargain, but he could easily be Rozee ready to be swung back or even Richards. And then El-Hawli is the only downgrade option this week really.
Take 130k in the bank and then use Bice/Long in a week or two’s time to get a fallen premo like Daicos or Merrett etc.
Let me know what you think! Am I crazy for using a boost?
I feel like I’m going pretty aggressive here just so I can bring two underpriced guys.
I’m trading out: Flynn, Bice and Daniel
In trading in: Sinclair, Dunkley and Simpson/rookie (I can’t afford el hawli)
This then sets me up for Lindsay/Hewett for Phillipou. This leaves me with 3 rookies on field.
Tough call with not many cash generating rookies around. Clark looks to be the more consistent player this year. Higher BE, might be able to pick him up at a similar price over the next few weeks. Sicily has hit form and is SC gun, low BE
If you’re looking at D5 or D6, I think Sicily might be enough, but you’ll be in trouble if he’s your D1-4. I think most are picking Clark because of the consistency you mentioned. His lowest score (58) is in his 3-round average for one more week, so if you’re not getting him this week, it’ll be next week before his price starts going back up (price rise in two weeks would be about 15-25k).
Need to do a 3-man trade to get rid of C. Daniel, SPP, and Bice as all have BEs in the 100s by now (let me know if I’m wrong in thinking here and one should stay in)
TU: Bice, Daniel, SPP -> Bews, Petracca, Rozee (in the mid to swing back once DPP)
TD: Silly trades, don’t waste the last boost, or target someone like Zorko or Sinclair instead of Rozee
The low BE is a bit of a mirage because of that 35 dropping out of his 3-round average after his next game. He will make about 75k more if he scores his average (88), so you’d be banking him on putting up at least one more crazy score to make it worthwhile. Can any Hawks fans comment on why he’s scored so well the past fortnight?
I know Tsatas is frustrating, but may be worth a hold – had 41 touches in the VFL so may be on the brink of coming back in. Has a BE of 7, so could still get to $300k + with a good run…
I took a pass last week, but I’m definitely getting Whitfield this week. Sick to death of seeing him stuff around and get 120 for it. If he takes one more useless kick-in, I will throw up!
Thanks GD. I was going to go with the crowd and get Sinclair, but that would mean having to choose between Whit, Ash and NWM for the last spot in defence, and I would rather get two of those three instead of Jack.
El-Hawli I’m less convinced about, but it’s slim pickings this week.
Petracca, Smith, Daniel, SPP, Macrae, Maria (Cleary, Kako)
Flynn
Thinking of using the last boost, swing some magnets and going
Daniel, Flynn, SPP > Sinclair, Rankine (or JHF)
Reid swung into the flex, Elhawli back, Sinclair mid and Rankie up forward, with Rozee getting DPP and Sinclair do I have to many defenders? Otherwise if I fade Sinclair I have 622k to get a midfielder which could be Bont, Brayshaw or Butters next week or the week after
I’d go with the midfield upgrade over the defender for now, seeing as you’re playing three rookies on field in the mids. Then, if you have the cash to spare and have finished upgrading the rest of your rookies, upgrade your last defender (probably Roberts over his bye).
HELP
Tu- OUT: M.Flynn and C.Daniel, IN: M.Gawn and F.Maley
Td- OUT: E.Tsatas and C.Daniel, IN: Z.Merrett and F.Maley
I have M.Hall and C.Cleary on my F bench already, will put Hall on the field so looking for a potential forward downgrade option, thinking A.Day-Wicks, but think Maley has better JS due to north’s lack of talls, comment if I am wrong 🙂
That makes a lot of sense GD, but it’s weird that his drop in scoring coincided with his suspension. Were they looking for him at the start of the year because he was such a big off-season acquisition? Then realized they didn’t need to do that to win (while he was out)?
His first three games (rounds 1, 2, and 4), he averaged 105 (132, 81, and 103).
Since then (rounds 7-9), he’s only averaged 68 (62, 79, and 64).
Get in jack steele huge pod been looking at him for a couple weeks now, great bye and seems to have picked it up in the last 3 weeks (107,117,111) and pocket 113k,
Considering bringing in a third ruck at the Flex spot to get a rookie off the field.
TU: Jackson DPP
TD: R Marshall
Jackson largely dependent on the Freo injury news, but would be nice if sole ruck.
Marshall great run of fixtures and would be a nice VC against West Coast this round. Thoughts?
Is it worth getting rid of the loss making semi premos given how the rookies coming in are not setting the world on fire?
Have Daniel, Rowell & Flynn all needing to go now/soon. Lashcroft, Cleary & Bice also ready to go, and don’t get me started on my dead rookies that are clogging up the pine!
TU: SC 101. Rookies first.
TD: Rowell &/or Daniel now.
B: NWM Zorko Clark Reid Bice Trainor(C. O’sullivan and Leake)
MID: Brayshaw Daicos Dawson Warner W. Ashcroft L. Ashcroft E. Hewitt Hustwaite (Knevitt Gross Camperole
R: Gawn Xerri

C. Daniel considered around 70% of players have him is he worth the trade and take a cash drop or keep him as his score is cancelled due to numbers. T/U your going to trade T/D. Keep and hope he gets moving again
Interesting. Is the issue getting Fonti?
I saw above the feedback to chillo doing Bice+Flynn to El Hawli+Whitfield was a resounding yes. (I can afford to do those and hold FOS until better downgrade option becomes available?)
Maybe go for someone cheaper than Whitfield and see what you can afford just with Flynn and Bice out but I’d definitely consider holdign Roberts longer term
Just looking at one upgrade this week, which one is more urgent? Both will be in the mid temporarily. Is dunks a lock? Is Holmes reliable? Which ones safer?
Would love to get Sinclair instead of Ryan and not that keen on Boxshall either, however going Boxshall over El Hawli allows me to get two upgrades in with the funds I have available.
Brock’s getting dropped at any stage and I wouldn’t be confident in Gross’ job security either. Try to find rookies that haven’t already gone up in price unless they look particularly good like El-Hawli who has only been scoring badly because he’s been sub but now looks a good chance to have a decent run. Also, trading Stone out to expensive rookies doesn’t net you nearly enough money to justify that kind of trade either
Some help would be appreciated.
Sheezel Clark Holmes Roberts Bice Reid ( Connor Carroll)
Diacos Neale Anderson Serong Rozee Petracca Hewett Hustwaite (Lindsay Moraes Camporeale)
Xerri De Koning (Boyd)
Smith Rankine JHF Macrae Daniel L.Ashcroft (Cleary Tunstill

I have $97.000 24 Trades 2 Boost.
I’m unsure what to do, gone backward the last 2 weeks. Thanks
Bice to El-Hawli will be a popular trade if E-H is named. Gets you $219.6k. Flynn’s price is likely to flatline too if WCE keep the two ruck strategy, so him to a Sinclair or another fallen premo is not a bad idea. These are trades I’m looking at.
If Boxshall is named I’d be tempted to trade one of your non-playing rookies (i.e. Camporeale). Your cash gen isn’t looking great on the bench, which you’re going to need. Either way, focus on getting ‘good’ rookies and fallen premos, try and avoid paying top dollar for anyone at this stage.
First trade of Bice to El Hawli is all but locked in. Then it is either:
TU: Henderson and Cleary —> Sinclair and C. Simpson with no cash leftover
TD: Caleb Daniel —> Sinclair, banking 135k for next week. Alternatively could use the remaining cash to boost Cerra to Whitfield to cut down on my eight current round 12 bye premos
Already got Neale, both Ashcrofts and Zorko. Dunkley looks a great buy this week, but feels like I’ve got too many Lions players. Levi won’t be a keeper, Will maybe.
Reid Lindsay Cleary > SEH Maley Dunkley
Keeps Bice D6 Lash M8 Daniel F6 and Flynn and Flex
TU: Yes great trades
TD: No dont do it, waste of a boost and trades
Can you wait a week to get another look at Phillipou? Its not as if Cleary or Paton or his price will be going anywhere. Could do one for Wicks now. Awesome that you are down to 1 rookie on field
Like the idea but Phillipou only averaged 58 last year and 51 in his first year … I’d wait to see how he goes this week and whether his role is repeated and his CBAs are maintained or increased.
Sorry have posted again to clarify! Hope this is OK
Archer Reid Lindsay Cleary > SEH Maley Dunkley
Keeps Bice D6 Lash M8 Daniel F6 and Flynn and Flex
TU: Yes great trades
TD: No dont do it, waste of a boost and trades
i can’t go any longer without Xerri. changed plan to get him two weeks ago because of to many round 12 players, but decided that TDK to Xerri is same bye and it has to happen.
TU: Bice and Oliver > Ash and Merrett
TD: Bice, Oliver and Flynn > Ash, Merrett and El Hawli (Gives me $263K ITB to upgrade one of Kako, Cleary or Hewett the following week)
He doesn’t go to well when tagged, that is when the other Lions midfielders take over. You have to plan ahead if the opponent has a know tagger he is normally crap.
PLEASE HELP
I need a fwd rookie bench option due to downgrading Daniel and upgrading a rookie in midfield, meaning I will put Max hall on my field, deciding between Archer day-wicks, Thomas Sims, Cooper Simpson and Finnbar Marley.
Leaning towards Archer day-wicks and Thomas Sims
Tu: Day-wicks
Td: Sims
He had a couple of really good practice games in preseason and he was in my preseason team. He was the ‘standout’ in a practice game against swans where he had 20 touches and 2 goals.
He didn’t get named in opening round, not sure why not. Maybe not quite ready
He played whole game in weekend and did a couple of nice things. He plays on the wing and can run all day.
Has DPP which is great and only $113k.
Ideally we watch him for another week, but if named again it shows GWS think he is ready
Worth noting a few injured players to return for GWS in the next few weeks may put pressure on him holding his spot. Kelly, Coniglio, Daniels, Jones, Bedford all to return and you would think are in the best 23. I am also a fan of his, but mindful of his job security.
It’s nice to dream though! We really are struggling for downgrade options huh.
Not looking good for those who held onto Conor Stone either, unfortunately.
Hi Derek, fan of your comments this season, hope I can help a little.
Peatling has a great ceiling but his rise comes from him being the big beneficiary of the Matt Crouch injury so far. Plenty of CBAs and time on ball (CBA% up ~50% since Crouch went down). Problem is we still seem to be figuring out the mid rotation, with Berry, Soligo and a whole other number of guys fighting for those premium mid spots. I think our depth is great for us as an AFL team but maybe not so much for consistent Supercoach selections as I don’t think you could confidently say who is getting that third on-ball spot for the rest of this season.
Daniel in your mids & already a full promo fwd line he can be moved on. Oliver can be moved on also, so if you have boosts left I would consider something like
Out: Daniel, Oliver & FOS (just not going to make money) which gives you roughly 1.15m
In: El-Hawli & 2 500k mids e.g Holmes, Rowell, Anderson, Dunkley, Serong, Tom Green
Just my opinion I’m sure others may have different thoughts.
Your defence is fine, Rozee will likely become a defender. You could consider Bice to El-Hawli to unlock cash if E-H is named. Forwards and Rucks are good too.
Your midfield needs improving. Oliver and Daniel can go (I’ve traded both in the last two weeks, though some people are still holding). Trading them with your current cash leaves you $946,200 (plus $219,600 if you trade Bice to E-H, i.e. $1,165,800 total). This would need a boost, but you can get two good Mids for this money. You’d miss Boxshall, but I don’t think that’ll hurt too much. Or if you don’t want to boost there are still good options (Oliver/Daniel to Sinclair/E-H would leave cash available too).
I have marshall as flex atm, i have been tryna keep to just getting rookies off but daniel wanna see against richmond but overall oliver and bice might be ones, just being tryna get rookies off field atm
Oliver and Daniel aren’t premos, will lose money and the rookies you have onfield still have money to make (other than Bice potentially), so I’d be fine with dumping them both (I’ve already done this and still have some rookies onfield). Definitely worth keeping cash ready for Bont & Butters once they’ve had their byes. Good luck!
Might be time to move off of Caleb Daniel, if he’s not finding the pill then he scores POORLY, plus he offers absolutely nothing if he’s not distributing out of half back for North so he may get a spell in the two’s (don’t think he will but it’s a possibility). Took the punt two weeks ago.
What if you already have Neale and Dunks. Would you bring him in
TU – Yes
TD – No
“Back in”?
I meant just to bring him in
In some ripping form but would be slightly concerned about Coleman coming back soon. NWM/Sinclair/Clark/Bowey all better options at his price IMO.
Time to bring luke Ryan in?
Nope – there are 3 premo defenders who are primed right now to pick up – Clark, Sinclair, Holmes. If you don’t have any of them I’d go for them over Luke Ryan.
Yep. Spot on, Marcus.
It’s weird though.
Holmes, Clark and Sinc all fire. Price, fixture, form. The works.
But, at least for me, I’m not getting punished OF down back. Reid become a god and Bice is stable enough. So don’t particular need DEFs at the minute.
With Hustwaite and Boxshall falling through and Daniel being horrendous, M8 and F6 are likely the pain points for most rn – not D5-6.
Major crossroads fortnight of trading coming up.
I think you have to add Ash and NWM to that list. IMO the 5 clear best defenders
Sicily a close 6th
Oh and Sheez.. forgot cause I have him as a mid atm
I agree those three are all worthy acquisitions, however for the price and what he can produce I believe Ryan is well and truly worth a shot, especially as funds become tight and downgrades slim you need to take what you can get.
This week I’m looking at Luke Jackson, depending on how long Sean Darcy is out for will decide if I will get Luke Jackson.

Not convinced at all on Boxshall. TOG was dreadful, could also be the sub or dropped.
Cooper Simpson if he stays in the side possibly?

He’s playing well but his job will change once Scrimshaw is back. That said, Impey is out this week so the role he plays is good for now.
Thoughts on using second last boost for this?
Tsatas > Boxshall
Bice > Sinclair
Daniel > Sicily (via DPP) only have 485k for def here.
TU – yes good trades
TD – Sicily not worth it
I am in a similar position, but thinking surely bigger fish to fry than offloading Daniel (and surely he won’t get dropped)?
I know Tsatas is frustrating, but may be worth a hold – had 41 touches in the VFL so may be on the brink of coming back in. Has a BE of 7, so could still get to $300k + with a good run…
Who’s coming out of that Dons side for him, Dylan?
Only case I can see is for him as the sub.
No tank, no impact.
If Tsatas is a way to get to a premo, then go for it – but I wouldn’t be wasting a trade on say a Tsatas > Boxshall.
You are right though, unless injury to that core midfield group, maybe ADW, but the sub does look most likely.
My other option to the above is slightly more risk more reward

Would leave 4 upgrades in the mids to be ‘full premo’
Reid is the #6 DEF over the past 3 weeks, Roberts is #36… just saying..
I’d still be holding Ashcroft and Hewett personally
Cerra to Dunkley for 60k?
TU: Yeah, avoids another r12 bye player too
TD: No, too sideways
Forward rookies, anything worth looking at??
I’m thinking of going early on Sims from Richmond cause it gives me the R3 I’ll need whenever I cut A Reid
TU: N.Martin
TD: Sinclair
Out
Clearly and Daniel
In
Jackson and el-hawli
T.u yes
T.d no
I took a pass last week, but I’m definitely getting Whitfield this week. Sick to death of seeing him stuff around and get 120 for it. If he takes one more useless kick-in, I will throw up!
Bice and Flynn out
Whitfield and El-Hawli in
He’s been so good this year.
Been tagged a couple of times and still gone 110~. Works very well in tandem with Ash too.
Great get, Chillo.
Thanks GD. I was going to go with the crowd and get Sinclair, but that would mean having to choose between Whit, Ash and NWM for the last spot in defence, and I would rather get two of those three instead of Jack.
El-Hawli I’m less convinced about, but it’s slim pickings this week.
Have SPP, Bice and Daniel, but of those three thinking its most worth keeping daniel for one more week against Richmond.
Then for my third out It’s either Hall or Cleary depending if I want more fallen premiums.
TU Hall out, Merrett and Clark in
TD: Cleary out, Anderson and Holmes in
Need some help, short on cash and have players where I don’t want them
100k in the bank, 20 trades and 1 boost left
Whitfield, Sheez, Clark, NWM, Holmes, Roberts (Reid, Prior)
Daicos, Serong, Rozee, Warner, Cerra, Lashcroft, Lindsay, Hustwaite (Gross, Camporeale, Boxshall)
Gawn, TDK
Who has the better job security?
T/U:El Hawli.
T/D: Bews
Must say, Bews looked really good and has a good role.
Cheers.
Wait on Bews. Stewart and Humphries. See how they re-jig.
El Hawli’s in the side surely. Live downgrade but by no means plan to rely on him OF.
Yep spot on GD – Geelong still have Henry, Stewart, Humphries and potentially Kolo who I believe if fit is probably ahead of Bews.
Bews is 31. And that was his first game of the season, returning from injury Nearly 10 years playing and has never averaged 65.
Maley very potentially will come out next week when Curtis comes back, watch for teams though
What is going on with Houston? Why has he dropped so far off?
Two reasons.
Pies don’t instruct for a single, monopolizing distributor. Trust their whole backline to use it.
They’re not a overpossesing defence like Port. Port liked to diffuse pressure at HB, Pies want to win that turnover in D50 and go go go.

Which rookie is more dead and should I get rid of:
TU – M Carroll
TD – Tsatas
Carroll is a decent shot at a recall this week. Did not play VFL and the Blues have some injuries to deal with
Get in jack steele huge pod been looking at him for a couple weeks now, great bye and seems to have picked it up in the last 3 weeks (107,117,111) and pocket 113k,
Or go for Dunkley/Tom green
T/U: Jack Steele
T/D: Dunkley
Comment: Tom Green
Considering bringing in a third ruck at the Flex spot to get a rookie off the field.
TU: Jackson DPP
TD: R Marshall
Jackson largely dependent on the Freo injury news, but would be nice if sole ruck.
Marshall great run of fixtures and would be a nice VC against West Coast this round. Thoughts?
Fixtures aren’t that good after West Coast.
Witts, Gawn, Doggies, DCam.

I already have NWM for the saints
I already have Neale and Lashcroft for the Lions
C. Daniel considered around 70% of players have him is he worth the trade and take a cash drop or keep him as his score is cancelled due to numbers. T/U your going to trade T/D. Keep and hope he gets moving again
How is your round 12 bye players. If you feel you have one too many (like me), he might be the one to go now
who to trade in for roberts

Need to be brave, bold and upgrade defence this week, have 2 boosts left

In: Sinclair, N Martin El-Hawli
FOS > Fonti
Flynn > El Hawli (Petracca to Flex)
Bice > Whitfield
Leaves enough cash next week to do Roberts > Sinclair
TU: Yes
TD: No
Nope. Bad trades.
Interesting. Is the issue getting Fonti?
I saw above the feedback to chillo doing Bice+Flynn to El Hawli+Whitfield was a resounding yes. (I can afford to do those and hold FOS until better downgrade option becomes available?)
Yeah Fonti is a bit too risky to be boosting.
Other trades look good though!
Maybe go for someone cheaper than Whitfield and see what you can afford just with Flynn and Bice out but I’d definitely consider holdign Roberts longer term

Who’s more urgent to trade out?
Tu: bice
Td: flynn
Was thinking Flynn but im assuming bice probably if Flynn doesn’t get dropped. Scored well even with double ruck against bank.
TU: Chad Warner
TD: Nic Martin
Does anyone know when the next changes in DPP occur?
Looking at moving Rozee to defence.
After round 11 and prior to round 12.
Thoughts on the following
OUT: Bice, Daniel, Hewett
IN: Holmes, Ryan, Boxshall.
Would love to get Sinclair instead of Ryan and not that keen on Boxshall either, however going Boxshall over El Hawli allows me to get two upgrades in with the funds I have available.
Options I’m considering:
TU E.Hewett to Warner
TD Daniel to JHF & Cerra to Mccluggage
A bit unsure of what to be doing this week.
Currently thinking:
FOS, Stone and Short to Gross, Brock and Sinclair
It should leave me enough to go Roberts to Clark next week in one trade
TU: Yes
TD: No
Brock’s getting dropped at any stage and I wouldn’t be confident in Gross’ job security either.
TU Holmes + Clark
TD Sinclair + sicily
Some help would be appreciated.
Sheezel Clark Holmes Roberts Bice Reid ( Connor Carroll)

Thanks for your help.
Archer Reid Lindsay Cleary > FMaley SEH Dunkley
TU: Good Trades
TD: Bad Trades
First trade of Bice to El Hawli is all but locked in. Then it is either:
TU: Henderson and Cleary —> Sinclair and C. Simpson with no cash leftover
TD: Caleb Daniel —> Sinclair, banking 135k for next week. Alternatively could use the remaining cash to boost Cerra to Whitfield to cut down on my eight current round 12 bye premos
Quite even, must both be decent enough options I guess
Bice + Lash > SEH Whitfield
TU: Great trades just do it
TD: No dont consider holding Lash or Bice
dont trade lash. He has one of the best defender averages right now
Given that L. Ashcroft is a Mid/FWD I doubt if he has one of the best DEF averages.
Lash = Levi Ashcroft, not Lachie Ash
Is Cerra > Dunkley worth a boost?
TU: Yes

I’ve been running the 3 ruck structure with Gawn, Xerri and De Koning as Flex. I wonder if it is time to change that strategy.
With no obvious rookie downgrade options to generate cash, I could go:
TU: De Koning + Bice + Trainor -> Sinclair/Zorko, Clarke/Rozzee, El Hawli with 50k left in the bank

No one tags Libba
For those that watched the Sydney game, how did Warner look?
first quarter was on 8, due to 3 clangers, would have been on 19, then finished on 93. first quarter dogged him
who to trade out?

Hi all,
Is Phillipou worth a look to get last rookie off field,
TU Cleary and Paton to Phillipou and Wicks..
TD no
Can you wait a week to get another look at Phillipou? Its not as if Cleary or Paton or his price will be going anywhere. Could do one for Wicks now. Awesome that you are down to 1 rookie on field
Phillipou unless injured will play out the rest of the season and they will give him midfield time.
Like the idea but Phillipou only averaged 58 last year and 51 in his first year … I’d wait to see how he goes this week and whether his role is repeated and his CBAs are maintained or increased.
If Phillipou averages 58 or 51 for the rest of this year come back and remind me I dont think so.
Sorry have posted again to clarify! Hope this is OK

Im sick of Neale this year. up and down. His gone when Lions have their bye
He doesn’t go to well when tagged, that is when the other Lions midfielders take over. You have to plan ahead if the opponent has a know tagger he is normally crap.

TD: Dale
Td: Sims
Or comment another option please !!!
I would rank them in this order:
Simpson – great role, should score decent, also decent job security, but wait a week if you can
Day-Wicks – medium forward, looked ok, but job security may be an issue
Sims – tall forward, young, looked good, scoring may be very up & down, played against a poor team on the weekend
Maley – bit older & more mature than Sims, great mark, questionable kicking skills, subbed out on weekend – so job security may be an issue
I am hoping that Erasmus gets another run for Fremantle this week – but he is a bit pricier FWD / MID @ around $150k
Angove from GWS is worth watching
He had a couple of really good practice games in preseason and he was in my preseason team. He was the ‘standout’ in a practice game against swans where he had 20 touches and 2 goals.
He didn’t get named in opening round, not sure why not. Maybe not quite ready
He played whole game in weekend and did a couple of nice things. He plays on the wing and can run all day.
Has DPP which is great and only $113k.
Ideally we watch him for another week, but if named again it shows GWS think he is ready
nothing more to add to this except add me to the Angove fan club, haha
Hope he is named and has a good one this week against the purple mob
Worth noting a few injured players to return for GWS in the next few weeks may put pressure on him holding his spot. Kelly, Coniglio, Daniels, Jones, Bedford all to return and you would think are in the best 23. I am also a fan of his, but mindful of his job security.
It’s nice to dream though! We really are struggling for downgrade options huh.
Not looking good for those who held onto Conor Stone either, unfortunately.

Any Crows fans can explain why he is now good?
TU: Peatling is now good
TD: Peatling is not good
Hi Derek, fan of your comments this season, hope I can help a little.
Cheers, I forgot about Crouch.
Makes sense now
TU: Sinclair
TD: Whitfield
Comment: Boost Cerra and get both
The third option completes my defence and leaves me with only six premiums on the round 12 bye
It also means I probably won’t be able to fund any upgrades next week though

I have no idea what to do at this moment and stuck and help
Daniel in your mids & already a full promo fwd line he can be moved on. Oliver can be moved on also, so if you have boosts left I would consider something like
Out: Daniel, Oliver & FOS (just not going to make money) which gives you roughly 1.15m
In: El-Hawli & 2 500k mids e.g Holmes, Rowell, Anderson, Dunkley, Serong, Tom Green
Just my opinion I’m sure others may have different thoughts.
Hi Lolopp,
Who is your flex?
Hope this helps!
I have marshall as flex atm, i have been tryna keep to just getting rookies off but daniel wanna see against richmond but overall oliver and bice might be ones, just being tryna get rookies off field atm
orginally I was gonna use daniel, clarry and possibly cerra as bye flips to hopefully get a butters or a bont but for clarry dont think I can wait
Good luck!
