  1. In a bit of a conundrum… 5 trades left and need to upgrade Worpel.

TU: two trades and get Neale, 3 trades for injuries with poor bench cover

TD: straight swap to Mills, save a trade with 4 for injuries and have good bench cover

    5

    39
  2. 1 upgrade, 6 trades left:

TU: 2 trades to bring in Mills
TD: 3 trades to bring in Libba/Trac

    10

    27
  3. 2 trades left, team is complete but with Fyfe down i have no decent fwd and mid cover if one of my on field players go down.

So use a trade to do either Sharp > Fogarty / Cunningham or Fyfe > Sheldrick

Tu: yes, need some bench cover
Td: save the trade for when something happens to your on field players.

    1. Hustled to 31 touches in the end.

Depends on how many trades you have left and who you can get him to.

If you’ve got 5+, then yeah ball out him someone who will comfortably cover him OA.

  4. 4 trades left! Playing for league!

    Do I…..

    T/U – Wardlaw & Johnson > Mills & 102k Rookie (127k itb)

    T/D – No trades

    12

    1. TD. IMO, playing for league theres still 4 rounds + finals to go, 8 rounds. Assuming you’re in top 4 of your league or close to it, you’ll need those trades, injuries will happen

      1. Yeah currently rolling with Weddle D6 (Sicily on bench) and looping M8 between Johnson, Wardlaw & Windhager. Currently top 2 in both cash leagues. Think i’ll hold, only because for my team to be peaking for finals would rather not have Mills M8 even at a discounted price.

        1. Case in point, do you have Dunkley Max? reckon they’ll be resting him vs the Eagles @ the Gabba.

Injuries will happen. I was hoping for no trades this week, but with Fyfe also injured, will have to do something

  5. hey lads,

with 1 trade left; don’t know if i hold on it and wait for someone to make money or upgrade with 318000 in the bank.

    TU: melican > houston
    TD: hold and wait

    thanks

  6. Need to trade one out for last upgrade. Other remains M9
    Trade out:
    TU: Matt Johnson
    TD: George Wardlaw

  7. T/U – Mitchell to Mills.
Leaves Day & Himmelberg as D6/D7 loop
    4 trades remaining

T/D – Fyfe to Rookie, Day to Merrett.
Mitchell as my F7, but can swing to D6 with Berg
    3 trades remaining

    7

    13
  8. I got Fyfe starting. Ford/Maric bench.
I got Kennedy and Steele starting in mids with Johnson/Wardlaw cover.
8 trades no cash left what’s the strategy from here?
T/U:2 trades for Fyfe to butters?
T/D:Take value in mills and downgrade for another upgrade next week?

  9. Ranked in the top 100 so want to keep being aggressive
6 trades left and a “full premo” side (few under performers)
    Thinking of going
    Fyfe > Cunningham
    Wines > Clarry/Libba
    Day > Doch/Ryan

Would leave me with 3 trades in the bank for the run home with sheezel and Steele my worst premos
    TU or TD

    1. I’d almost move Steele before Day tbh. Day’s shown more recently than Steele.

Up to you though, Finn. Great rank, best of luck!

      9

      1
  10. What are we thinking if Clarry gets picked this week is he worth picking up or is it too risky that he’s not 100%

    2

    23
    1. Probably. Corkie on Thursday, Lions play Saturday, was a pre-emptive sub and he reportedly didn’t want to come off lol.

      5

      1
    1. McCluggage also a really nice shout.

Like him over Mills and Walsh – has more of an incentive to pop off.

  11. Can anyone see a way I can trade Sheezel to mills with 1 trade only??

Def. Daicos, Stewart, Dawson, Saad, Sinclair, Mitchell, Sheezel, constable

Mid. Oliver, bont, Laird, brayshaw, Neale, green, Sheldrick, windhager, Johnson, Fletcher, sharp

    Rk. Marshall, witts, Moyle

Fwd. Dunkley, Taranto, rozee, cogs, macrae, Cameron, Roberts, maric.

    Thanks in advance!

      1. $170k.
I could trade Johnson to mills straight up, just trying to squeeze a few more dollars outta Johnson while his breakeven is only 12.

        1. 5 trades left, I’d just be holding Sheezel as valuable cover that can be on field for you just fine

          4

          0
        2. Mills will go up in price quicker than Johnson over the next few weeks. Get him now if you can. Plus, the extra points don’t hurt.

  12. Team is ‘complete’ with Day D6, Steele M8, and Cameron F6 / Ruck Cover.

Currently have 5 trades, playing mainly for rank at 795 currently.

Is Steele down to Mills worth it? Pocket a lil bit of cash and probably end up 10 points per game better off on the run home.

TU – Yes, Mills is a solid M8 keep Johnson and Sheldrick as cover.
TD – No wait a couple of weeks and trade Johnson and Sheldrick to a better premo keep Steele as M9.

    13

    7
  13. 5 trades to go.

Fyfe > Mills to complete the team.

I also want to upgrade one of my “not so premos” to bonafide premos.

I call it Operation Get Laird.

    10

    0
    1. Who would you rather trade out to Get Laird out of these options:

      TU: Steele
      TD: D Cameron
      Comment: Cogs

      25

      0
  14. 9 trades left, 2 more premos needed (fwd & def), $276k itb, Fyfe & S.Mitchell on field

TU: Trade Fyfe to Rozee/Gulden/Macrae. Also trade a mid who has scored poorly and is therefore at the top of their price cycle and will lose cash (for the next while) to Mills and bank the extra cash for the last upgrade. Brayshaw will net $180k, Laird will net $240k.

TD: Trade Fyfe to Rozee/Gulden/Macrae, spend all the extra cash and have none left, and roll with S.Mitchell in Def for the foreseeable future. Have no current cows on the bench ready to cull soon.

    1

    5
  15. TU – Libba
    TD – Butters

Pretty torn between the two – Libba’s run home is unreal, butters DPP could be handy late in year.

    12

    3
  16. Is it worth trading fyfe to Cunningham or Fogarty for mid and forward cover will only have 2 trades left for the year but if I keep fyfe i will have 3 but no bench cover except for Maric
    Tu cunningham or fog
    TD keep fyfe

    12

    2
        1. Cuningham and Fogarty are both Carlton M/F rookies on the bubble this week. Not to be confused with Cunningham from Harry from Sydney or Ben Cunnington from Nth.

          5

          0
  17. T/U – Trade S. Mitchell, Ashcroft and Dev Rob for Mills, Sicily and 102k rookie (just enough cash to pull it off).

This completes my team and gives me one backup on each line (Pelican, Wardlaw and Maric) with 4 trades in the bank.

T/D – Ride Ashcroft and Seamus for another week while they are making money.

Comment – come up with a better mid+Def combo then sicily+mills

    7

  18. Humphrey & Sheezel my last 2 non premo’s. Was going to keep Sheezel as F6 until later, but now considering :

    OUT : Humphrey & Sheezel
IN : Merrett & Mills (via DPP).

Full premo with 4 trades remaining. Bench cover of Wilmot for D/M, Johnson for MID, Sheldrick for M/F, Maric for FWD and then some non playing cheapos.

    TU : Good plan
TD : 1 trade only to replace Humphrey and keep Sheezel until later.

    12

    2
    1. Should clarify I have 6 trades before any done this week. So it’s either to be 5 or 4 remaining depending if I offload Sheezel to Mills. Is that worth a trade?
TU – yes 2nd trade of Sheezel to Mills, 4 left
TD – don’t bother, keep Sheezel for now , 5 left

  20. I can sit and do nothing but season is on the line. Have Ginbey at M8 still and S Mitchell F6. Three trades and one boost left.

T/U Fye/Ginbey – Maric/Keays (Maric could also be Jack Williams)
T/D Fyfe to Gresham which creates loop options…..leaves two trades.

Comment….do nothing and hold 3 trades.

    1

    4
  21. Teams done, with 3 trades left but with Sheezel and Steele.
Is it worth doing Steele and Cincotta to Houston and Mullin banking 78k or just save the trades and hope Steele performs?

    1

    7
  22. does anyone know, or care to guess the chances of Gawn and Mills getting DPP next week?

Gawn was on 34.9% forward last DPP’s, has he increased that?

Has Mills played enough games to qualify?

  23. Who has better JS?

I’m hoping either can be a reliable M-F bench cover swing for the run home..

    TU: Cunningham

    1. Philipou & Ford to Mills & a rookie. You could afford Maric or Cuningham but this late in the season, you don’t necessarily need rookies to be playing so I’d be tempted to get a $102k non playing rookie just so you have some cash left in the bank for future moves

      0

      0
  30. Out: Keays and Atkins

  33. 13 trades left 154k ITB.

Playing for league and in top 4 but 5th only a game behind with 4 to play.
    Team
D Daicos Daniel Dawson Sheezel Sinclair Mitchell (Constable Chesser)
M Bont Merret Laird Oliver* McCrae Libba Coniglio Fyfe (Baker Fletcher Drury)
    R English Marschall (Madden)
F Dunkley Cameron Taranto Rozee Gulden Sheldrick (Davey Roberts)

So Mills is value but I need to get full premo and switch at least a couple of the mid/forwards like McCrae to the forward line. Also want Neale and maybe Serong. Want to time full premo for league finals in case players I bring in get injured.

So Thumbs Up Fyfe/Baker for Mills/Cunningham
    Thumbs Down Fyfe/Baker for Serong/Cunnigham

    1

    2
  34. Fyfe is not Life

Dunkley being out also ruins the chance to wait for some rookies to grow in cash for a week or two before cashing him out

TU: Fyfe & Steele-> Petracca & Cunningham (Johnson & Cunningham as cover)

TD: Fyfe & Johnson -> Butters & A Warm Body under 130K (puts Steele as my 23rd)

Takes me down to 3 trades

Comment: just ride Maric on field and save the trade

  35. help me out here crew

    Roberts -> Mills
    OR
    Drury -> Thomas

Prefer Mills to Thomas, but Roberts is more likely than Drury to play again this year. Can’t afford Drury to Mills unfortunately….

  38. Best m7/f9 replacement for Fyfe under $325k

    Tu: sheldrick
    Td: windhager

    Comment: any others i missed.

Not fussed about cash gen. Just focused on a player that has good role / js and not injury prone so they can be good cover for rest of the year

    10

    4
  39. 7 trades with 1 boost, 72K itb.
1 rookie + fyfe to upgrade
Briggs (R3), Fyfe & Johnson out to
    TU: Libba, Mills, Cuningham/Fogarty
    TD: Merrett, Mills, 102K rookie
10K short of doing Merrett, Mills & Cuningham

Still got Melican, Cincotta, Fletcher & Maric providing cover for Dunks.

    4

    0
  40. I have a finished team (with 4 trades, 30k ITB) but have both Clarry and Dunkley with two of Melican, Johnson and Maric as cover. Playing for league and have two games that could be won without making trades but still kinda want mills before price increase.

T/U Trade Melican and Johnson to Fogarty (via DPP) and Mills. 2 Trades + Better Cover
T/D Hold (4 Trades with the above being cover and miss Mills price rise)

    4

    1
  41. Dunkley Weddle Ashcroft > Libba Mills Doch
Would leave me with 5 trades $206k after the above. Next week would do Day to Sicily.
Following Cincotta to rookie and Sheezel to Dunkley. Would leave me with 2 trades and Mills at M8

TU: Good thinking as have enough trades and Dunkley could be out for 2-3
TD: Dont do it (just hold Dunkley)

    6

    1
  42. TU: Libba (have to cover dunkley with maric or chesser)
TD: Butters (can cover dunkley with johnson)

    4

    6
  43. Thoughts, still have Clarry, and now the Dunkley dilemma. 5 trades and have a completed team.

TU – Trade Sharp to Cunningham/Forgarty, this covers for Dunkley & Windhager will be covering for Clarry. Just the 1 trade.

TD – Trade Oliver to Walsh & trade Windhager to Mills. Mills becomes M9 and cover for Mids/Forwards. 2 trades.

    3

    1
  44. Earlier I’d proposed going Ashcroft/Seamus/DevRob into Sicily/Mills/102k rookie and people had loved it but nobody reminded me Sicily was out another week!

    Now I’m thinking

    T/U – Trade DevRob/Wardlaw/Seamus for Docherty/Mills/102k rookie
T/D – Just do Ashcroft > Mills and wait a week for Sicily

Torn on these two options. Obviously Sicily is better then Doch but option one lets me have Ashcroft as M9 (or even M8 if I want to bench J Cameron in forward line) who is far better then Wardlaw.

    1

    5
  45. What option should I do?

Option 1: Day to Petracca (leaves me with 3 trades and 40k ITB) (thumbs up)

Option 2: Day and Sheezel to Serong and Ryan
(Leaves me 2 trades with 44k ITB) (thumbs down)

  46. Hi All !

I’m still running the Witts, Marshall & Briggs combo.

  49. For my fellow nerds out there.
    Bank: 139k
    Windhager: 260k, BE 36
    Johnson: 319k, BE 12
11k short of Libba (main target) after downgrading windhager to 102k rookie.
    Libba : $627k with a BE of 120
If I were to hold these two, next week do you think I’ll have enough for Libba?
    TU: yes
    TD: No

    7

    0
  50. 5 trades remaining, do I pull the pin now on Sheezel?

TU = Keep Sheezel as F6
    TD: Trade Sheezel to Mills

    15

    0
    1. I think it will be 10-15 points difference weekly between them by years end. Keep the 5 trades for long term injuries.

      2

      1. Hi Abs – it’s complicated. I want to trade out Humphrey for my final mid upgrade. If that’s the only trade I do, I can’t afford Merrett or Libba which I’m spewing about as Humphrey lost more dollars than I’d hoped. So would be looking at Butters, or Parish instead. That leaves Sheezel as F6. No other suitable rookies to trade out instead of Sheezel as I need a forward. If I trade Sheezel for Mills, I can then afford Merrett or Libba. So it comes down to holding Sheezel (for at least this week and passing on Mills) and trading in Butters or Parish for Humphrey OR trading out both Humphrey and Sheezel for Merret/Libba and Mills as F6.

  51. Trying to work out what my best move is this week. I’m one player away from having a completed team (although I’m including D. Cameron and Sheezel in that), but I have only 7 trades left and $24k in the bank. This is my current team:

DEF: Daicos, Stewart, Dawson, Sinclair, Ryan, Sheezel (Cincotta, Mullin)
MID: Bontempelli, Oliver, Petracca, Laird, Neale, Liberatore, Anderson, Green (Fyfe, Fletcher, Drury)
    RUCK: English, Briggs (Madden)
FWD: Dunkley, Taranto, Gulden, Rozee, D.Cameron, S.Mitchell (Ford, Maric)

I’m a bit worried about bench cover, since I can’t see Fyfe, Drury or Mullin playing any more games this season. Maric, Ford and Cincotta’s job security is also shaky.

    What’s the best choice:

TU: Trade Fyfe and S. Mitchell for a Butters and a $102k rookie. This would give me another uber-premo to finish my team but would make my bench cover even worse and I would have only $6.7k in the bank with 5 trades remaining. I would only be making sideways trades after that in case of injuries.

TD: Trade Fyfe and S. Mitchell for Mills and Cuningham. This would leave me with $144k in the bank with 5 trades remaining, and significantly better bench cover. Mills isn’t an uber-premo like Butters though.

    6

    3
    1. What about Fyfe and Cincotta (swapping Mitchell to Def.) to Mills and Cuningham less in the bank but better bench cover.

      2

      0
    2. Do you have any boosts left?
      Oliver to Mills
      Dunkley to MaCrae (low ownership)
      384k in bank
      Next week
      Ford to Butters
      or
Fyfe to Merret or Parish (Low Ownership)

lots of options as 7 trades is way more than most people have.

  52. I officially have no trades left. So shouldn’t be posting here but still like to catch up.
Shocking season. Have had every injured or suspended player and dead rookies. Have had to go hard on trades as was in a cash league..
At least I can register my fantasy EPL team now it’s open.
Been a tough season, probably the worst in my 10 years playing.
Good luck to everyone for the upcoming round and beyond.

  59. SuperCoach experts…

Am I correct in saying that if I have Dunkley and Fogarty both on the bench as emergencies – Fogarty’s score will count as Dunkley isn’t playing?

If both were playing the player with the lowest score would count?

    Cheers
