          1. I could use it to trade out Briggs to Gawn
Or save it for my last premium upgrade in a week or two

  1. Will we be getting a fallen premiums article this week? I’ve got 500k to spend on my final DEF or FWD…

  3. 4 Trades Left
If Grundy is left out again, is it worth going Briggs to Gawn?

    TU: Yes

    1. This just got tricky…
I’m actually 8k short of a straight Briggs > Gawn trade.

Do I now use 2 trades to go Briggs Sharp > Gawn Rookie leaving me with 2 trades left for the season?

This is all under the assumption Gawn goes back to solo rucking permanently and Grundy is kept out.

      TU: Yes
      TD: No

      1. I’ll simplify it for you with one question Blackboard. What do think is the likelihood of Grundy being permanently kept out and not playing with Melbourne again this year?

  4. 3 trades left currently sitting 5th in league but only one win ahead of 9th and have one upgrade to do
T/u use on trade for sheldrick to jez cameron
T/d use 2 trades and bring in a 500-600k fwd or def

    1. If i go with option 2
T/u bring i dunkley (means melican is my backline cover)
T/d bring in sinclair (means seamus mitchell is my back line cover)

I like sinclairs opponents next 2 weeks but dunkley was mr consistent b4 injury

        1. Cheers! Hmmm despite the feedback im leaning to sinclair based on that info. If im running with one trade after this round would prefer to have mitchell on bench

          1. If you’re doing two trades, could bring in Dewar ($102k WCE def/fwd) as your downgrade to try and have Mitchell then able to cover both lines?

  5. DEF – Daicos, Stewart, Dawson, Ryan, Sinclair, Lloyd (Banks, Constable)
MID – Merrett, Petracca, Laird, Serong, Green, Macrae, Walsh, Johnson (Wagner, Roberts, Drury)
    RUC – English, Marshall (Madden)
FWD – Dunkley, Gulden, Rozee, Taranto, Coniglio, Sheezel (Maric, Buller)

    2 trades and $196k remaining

I unfortunately had to use two trades last week, otherwise I would’ve had only 19 playing. My original plans last round was to downgrade Johnson to Wagner and hold onto Sheldrick for another few week, so I could use one trade to upgrade him eventually and not waste another downgrade to do that. But that didn’t happen. Thankfully Johnson didn’t score far off his BE, so he didn’t lose much money. Other trade was Mitchell to Rozee, and that ended up being a decent trade.

So my plans to have a full “premo” is in dire straits. With Green doing a slight hammy, I’m not sure how long he’ll be gone for. The first report was possibly 3 weeks, but I’m hoping that it’s downgraded to 1-2 weeks. If that ends up being the case, then I will hold onto him. If not, I may have to do my final trades this week to make a bold idea work to have somewhat full premo side.

If Green is gone for at least 3 weeks, I’m considering outing him and Johnson for Parish and Dusty. A very bold call, but I have my reasons.
Parish has been very consistent, only scoring under 90 once (which was an adequate 82) and 8 tons to his name so far. To me he’s a reliable player to score something at least decent and won’t disappoint you, which was actually the reason why I chose Rozee over Butters last week (same story as Parish, only one score under 90).
Dusty is the bigger bold call obviously. My theory is after being moved back into the midfield more under McQualter, his scores have progressively gotten better with more freedom to his gameplay. Most recently he’s score 2 tons in the last fortnight, and those to me are hopeful signs.

But yeah this all if Green’s situation is as bad or worse as first though. If he’s under 3 weeks, I’ll just wait on Maric, Banks or Wagner to make a bit more and then downgrade to a mega cheap rookie and use the remaining cash to upgrade Johnson to a premo.

Here’s my TU/TD if Green is out for 3+ weeks

TU – Green and Johnson > Parish and Dusty
TD – Some other trade plan

If anyone has better idea for what I should be doing, please let me know

Noah Balta, Zak Jones also in price bracket

  7. Operation Get Tim English In

    Option 1:
    Mitchell > Harvey
    Wilmot > Miller

Leaves me enough cash itb to go ROB > English next week

    Option 2:
    Mitchell > Harvey
    ROB > English

Leaves me enough cash itb to go Wilmot > Touk/Parish/Serong/Cerra next week, but I have to play Wilmot on field one more week.

Both options leave me with 2 trades left.

Leaning towards option 2 because I’m worried that English will go bananas this week vs Essendon and ROB will get towelled up by Gawn, and I’m in desperate need of league wins to make finals.

    T/U – Straight trade to LDU/Touk/Jelly (1 trade left)

  10. A decision I must make this week. Do I continue with Briggs as my R2 or trade in Big Maxy. I have 3 trades left and enough coin to get Max this week – with his low BE, I won’t get this chance again.

TU – Keep Briggs as R2, the cash and the trades.
TD – Get Max, keep 2 trades for finals.

  11. Need some help with this one please! 4 trades left –
T/U – Straight swap Green for Touk
T/D – Green and Wardlaw for Libba and a playing rookie (Harvey/Peris)… leaving me with 2 trades and an extra 70k

    Thanks guys!

    1. Tippas,

Libba costs $87k more than Touk so another variation is your second option with Touk instead of Libba.
Green & Wardlaw to Touk & (Harvey/Peris) leaving you with 2 trades and an extra $157K to upgrade a weak position to a proper or better premo. That could be Clarry when he comes back in.

Considering Marshall to Gawn. As long as Grundy stays in ressies and Laird is good to go.

  13. Not sure if I should keep Green or trade him (to Miller).
    I have cover, Chesser.
Have two rookies on field though, Wardlaw and Cunningham.
    I know Wardlaw is out

    5k in the bank
8 trades left with 2 boosts

    TU: Trade Green
TD: Work on trading the two rookies out (over two weeks)

    Thoughts welcome.

    Thank you

  15. Trading in Ryan this week. Who do I trade out for him? My options are

    Sheezel
    Mitchell
    Weddle

    Thanks.

  16. Who to trade to make final upgrade? The other will stay as cover for the rest of the year. DPP is irrelevant as can swing other players between the lines.

    TU: Windhager
    TD: Fletcher

  17. 4 trades, $400.6k itb.

Def: Daicos, Stewart, Sinclair, Ridley, Lloyd, S.Mitchell (Melican, Constable)
Mid: Petracca, Bont, Zerrett, Dawson, Serong, Green, Steele, Mills (Cunningham, Roberts, Drury)
    Rucks: English, RoMo (Madden)
Fwd: Dunkley, Gulden, Rozee, Taranto, Cogs, D.Cam (Maric, Harvey)

With 4 trades left and bench cover considering holding Green. My dilemma is final Def position.

TU: If Mitchell is not managed again play him a week or 2 more then turn Melican into Sicily once he bottoms out.
TD: Swing Dawson back and through the powers of dpp turn Melican into a premo mid.

    And suggestions welcome. Thanks coaches!

  21. Cincotta > Hewett
Would mean no cover down back but have Dewar so could swing Sheezel back if needed and Maric would be cover up forward. Hewett would be cover for Laird this week. 3 trades left before this one.
    TU Yes worth a trade
TD No not worth it hold Cincotta for Mid/Def cover
