  1. I’ll get in first.
    What’s with Brodie’s TOG???
    (Wait, this isn’t that place…)

    Trades… left… in the last round…
    hahahahaha

Best of luck to anyone in GFs and anyone with trades left 🙂

  2. So, after an up and down season I’ve made it through to the grand finals in one of my leagues. A couple of under performers in my team, but think Keays is most problematic as my M8.
Thoughts on a replacement? Budget of $558,900. Only needs to be a one-trick pony. Anyone on here have a good feeling about a thrifty-priced midfielder that’s likely to go bang in Round 23???
    Would appreciate any intel!

    1. A few options:

      – A. Brayshaw: been playing OB, solid for 110+ there

      – N. Anderson: developing midfielder, has the occasional large one and closes the season out v North

      – Walsh: poor last fortnight but the Pies leak midfield points and could totally be the kind of game Walsh just puts the burners on; L3 v Pies: 123, 193, 105

      – LDU: sensational form, North’s engine room looked the best it’s looked in a while the other day, expect them to try and close the season out with dignity

      – Wines: strong last few weeks, including a 140 today, Showdown always brings put the best in both SA teams

      – Parish & Shiel: also options but they’ll get killed by Richmond, whose OB brigade has all of a sudden become deadly

  3. Hey team,

Managed to make my two cash league gf’s – using my last trade to finally send Hewett on his way. Will have McDonald as D7 loophole too. who scores higher?

    TU – Doch
    TD – Stewart

All the best to those who made it to the gf

    1. With top spot locked in, you’d think the Cats might take their foot off the gas. Blues must win and Doc looked good playing through the guts.

      1. Not a bad shout at all Chips. I have a feeling Stewart will towel the Weagles up from the backline but also like the idea of Doch in the mid! Decisions decisions.

  4. The Grand Final beckons – have Papley in my forward line and will use my last trade to move him on. Have a budget of $520,600 so it will be a calculated risk as the better targets are out of my reach. Who is likely to fire in the last home and away game. Who can join Marshall, Coniglio, Parker, Dunkley, Brodie as my F6? Obviously could be Hawkins v WCE at home or Cameron, can Lynch have a day out against Essendon. Who is the safest option? All help appreciated.

    1. Reckon Tomahawk’s the way to go. Has the chance to go huge but just has a much higher floor than the others so is less likely to end up costing you a granny if he doesn’t completely fire. Also feels very good to use that last trade and have basically no cash left.

    2. Cameron most likely not playing! I think Lynch goes well against my Dons. Have you considered Rozee? I reckon he could be a smoky for a big one at AO against the crom.

  5. Into my GF 1 trade left. Thinking to trade Taranto, swinging Zorko to my mid bench opening up D/M swing.
Not much of a budget. Best Def $482,700 or under to outscore Zorko?

    1. Actually a bunch of decent options:

      Perryman, Rich, May, Houston, Blicavs.

I’d probably go Rich to spice it up.

  6. In the granny this week, no trades left so really hoping Taranto plays otherwise I’ll have to field M. Rioli. What’s the likelihood he plays?

  7. This might sound insane but if I a) had Laird and b) had trades, I’d almost consider trading him out for this last round.

Drew just put the screws to Zerrett with great effect, probably a good chance he goes to Laird. Similar frame/type of MID.

      1. Haven’t seen Drew tag off a half forward start before and Dawson is much bigger than Laird (+14 cm, +8 kg).

    1. Not insane at all – thinking of trading Sinclair or Andy Brayshaw for the same reason.

With tags suddenly all the rage (Saints, Swans, Port, Hawks & GWS), we might need to factor the draw into our starting squads next year.

  8. One trade left. Want to get rid of Goldstein from my forward line. Will have $476k to spend and can use DPP to move the magnets around.

    TU: Bazlenka
    TD: Steven May

Comment any other FWD or DEF alternatives around that price that may be better options.

  9. In cash league final with 1 trade remaining. Don’t wish to trade early in case of any late outs. So in defence with $511800 to spend considering either Crisp to Dale or if English is sharing the ruck duties with Martin again with $ 560700 to spend considering Marshall, Libba or Heeney in this order. Anyone else ? Thoughts appreciated, Thanks

    1. I reckon you’ve got the right plan there. English to Libba or Marshall if Martin is named again but Crisp to Dale as the backup plan is perfect

  10. Redmans been a mare in the last 2 finals, was thinking of trading him but looking at the Hawks/Tigers game Sicily had a day out, do we think Redman is worth holding considering the Tigers should romp it in?
    TU yes keep Redman
TD No trade to Carlton’s newest midfielder Doch.

  11. Last trade and no pressing issues going into our cash league Grand Final, apart from whatever curveball comes when teams announced…

Currently have Darcy bench loopholed R3 (with Teakle at R2 and English able to swing from the forwards) along with Brodie bench looped at F7 (with English/Treloar to be subbed out for J.Clarke) if he fires.

Mulling over one of two other options:

TU: I’m looking to field Brodie to bring in and bench loop Hawkins at F7, with him up against an underwhelming Eagles.

TD: Bring in a replacement for Cripps/Treloar with a higher ceiling (Libba/Parish/Steele)

Keen to hear your thoughts or suggestions on any other moves to consider. Full lineup as follows:

DEF: Sinclair, Dawson, Sicily, Stewart, Docherty, Short (D’Ambrosio, Dean)
MID: Laird, Miller, Oliver, Petracca, Neale, Cripps, Brayshaw, Macrae (Owens, Clarke, Worner)
    Ruck: Gawn, Teakle*(Darcy)
FWD: Bont, Coniglio, Parker, Dunkley, English, Treloar (Brodie, Rosas)
    $83k ITB

  12. 1 trade left. Who to trade out?

    TU: English (vs Hawks)
    TD: Short (vs Essendon)

Thinking to bring in Doc either way (via DPP). Do we think he holds his mid role next week?

    1. Who do you guys think is the best option for Tex? Looking at Bailey Smith, J.Cameron, D.Cameron, Curnow and Franklin

  13. How will Barrass fair against the Geelong onslaught? More chance for intercepts, or Cats too accurate with their forward 50 entries

  14. Couple of GF’s this week – Cash League is the focus though.

1 Trade left and next to nothing in the kitty (11k)

Doesn’t leave much room to upgrade the likes of Crisp, Ridley, English etc.

Anyone see anything obvious I’m missing here?

Def – Sinclair, Dawson, Stewart, Doch, Ridley, Crips [Bazzo, D’Ambrosio]
Mid – Laird, Touk, Oliver, Neale, Mills, Cripps, Macrae, Walsh [Carmichel, Uwland, J.Clarke]
    Ruck – Witts, Darcy [Teakle]
Fwd – Bont, Cogs, Parker, Dunkley, English, Brodie [Rioli, Culley]

Actually leaning towards nothing no late outs or carnage. Just feels weird to finish with a trade

  15. How will Blicavs score without Stanley at GMHBA Stadium verses WCE? Looking for a replacement for Jackson via DPP. Or safer to go Hawkins?

    TU : Blicavs
    TD: Hawkins

  16. SC Granny time!

Thinking the big Toma Hawk could be in for a big one against Eagles without his partner in crime..

Last trade, is it worth going:
    Brodie -> Hawkins

  17. Limited budget if Goldstein is out. Tiges have made finals and can’t get home final so not much to play for, but they’re playing Messendon. Still maybe worth rolling the dice on Tom Lynch for POD?

    TU: Why not?
    TD: Play it safer

  19. I’m in the GF and opponent and I only have 3 PODs. I have Daicos, Libba and Steele and he has Gawn, Cripps and Crisp. I

I have two trades left with $76.9k in the bank.. My team is:
Def: Sinclair, Dawson, Sicily, Stewart, Daicos, Short (Burgoyne, Sinn)
