  1. I have 324K in the bank.

    Thinking one these two options.
    Thumbs up
    Out McKenna and Roberts
    In Stewart and Wagner
    Thumbs down
    Out Mckenna, Roberts and Phillips
    In Day, Wagner and Hopper

    1. Just trying to understand why Wilmot over McKenna, given Wilmot’s projected to rise more in price than McKenna, over the coming weeks.

      1. IMO if you have Wilmot on field or on bench there could/would be different stratergies.

Could also depend on whether you are playing for points or a premiership…..

  3. Probably overthinking this but gulden surely a hold even after the performance on the weekend? Swans were battered so expecting a response…

    Tu; Hold
    Td; Move on

  4. TU: Wilmot, Jones, Ashcroft > Day, Mitchell, Stewart

TD: Wilmot, Jones, Grundy > Day, Mitchell, English (170k itb)

I like the first option because their is no sideways trading, however, Grundy looked terrible the other night with the Gawn ruck situation and not having English is killing me.

  5. A little worried on LDU. Is he just out of form or has the role changed? BE 160 plays melb this week
    TU trade
    TD hold

    1. Hasn’t been the same since he missed a week with calf tightness. Looks slow and hesitant.

Unless you’ve got a team full of spud rookies that need moving, I reckon he’s a trade.

  6. DEF – Dawson, Daicos, Stewart, McKenna, Ginbey, Wilmot (Cowan, Constable)
MID – Oliver, Macrae, Merrett, Green, Hopper, Ashcroft, Phillips, Phillipou (Rowston, Baker, Johnson)
    RUC – English, Marshall (Madden)
FWD – Dunkley, Taranto, Coniglio, Ziebell, Sheezel, Greene (Davey, Roberts)

$248k remaining, 25 trades left (3 boosts left)

Not sure who to trade out, because most of my rookies’ BEs are reachable. But I feel I need to make an upgrade, so two have to go. The one’s I’m tossing over are out of Wilmot, Cowan, Phillipou, Rowston and Baker.

And I’ll be looking at getting in a mid premo like Bont, Walsh or even someone like Libba or Serong.

But my over-thinking mind can’t decide who goes in and who goes out

  7. OUT: Three out of (McKenna, Wilmot, Cowan, Mackenzie, Baker)

IN: Day, Seamus Mitchell and either Wagner or Sturt

    1. Would not go Sturt and Wagner dropped. If I had to trade I will bring in Cincotta early. He looked ok.

  8. Early thoughts:

    Miller, McKenna, Setterfield out
    Daicos, S Mitchell, Taranto in

TU: Use extra boost go Setters to Taranto (2 boosts left after)
TD: Just get Daicos and S Mitchell for now

  9. Touk must go, but I’m looking for value.

I’m saving cash for when Oliver hopefully drops under $650K

    This week..

Out -Touk / McKenna / Wilmont

In Cogs / Day / Seamus or Wagner ?

    T/U $117K M/D mature age Wagner

    T/D $123K D/F rookie Seamus Mitchell.

    4

    27
      1. I feel like Day has a better ceiling given the mid role. Still not understanding the impact of Hall at north, could impact either of Sheezel or Ziebell any given week???

        6

        1
  10. TU: Michaelanney to Mitchell, Roberts to Wagner, Mackenzie to Day

TD: Mackenzie to Mitchell, Wilmot to Wagner, Michaelanney to Sinclair

  11. Trading Grundy (594k) to…….

    T/U – English (684k)

    T/D – Darcy (603k)

Prices taken into account. Cheers everyone.

      1. I feel Grundy may impact him too, can always sideways Marshall if he stinks it up. Still have 30 trades not including this weeks.

      2. I’m tossing up between an undervalued Gawn, or a peeking English as well, Baz.

Let me know what u decide. Haha.

        1
        1. Very tough one boys, I feel like something bound is bad to happen to English. Maybe we are chasing points going for him. Gawny could be the go next week

    1. Cogs and bring in Teakle for a 300k rookie.

Make 100k on Grundy to Cogs. And another 100k on downgrading to Teakle.

  12. 29 trades, 4 boosts left

    Trade out: Ridley, Setterfield, Roberts
    Trade in: Mitchell, Wagner, Cogs

Leaves me with $520K itb for bye prep

TU: Go ahead & do it,
    TD: Save boost for later.

    3

    16
    1. That’s a giant waste.

You’re basically sideswapping Ridley and playing 2 premos short for no reason.

If you want to move setterfield it’s better to move him up to a premo mid then down. Should be able to get your pick of anyone you don’t have

      5

      0
  13. Likely only able to swing one premo into my side with lack of cash in the bank.

    T/U – Cogs
    T/D – Sincs

    Cheers

  14. TU: McKenna, Cowan, Caminiti – S. Mitchell, Cincotta, Cogs (via DPP)

TD: Wilmot, Cowan, Caminiti – S. Mitchell, Cincotta, Day

  15. What X O’Halloran’s JS and role like?
    T/U bring him in
    T/D bring C Wagner in
    (Already bringing S Mitchell in)

    2

    6
  16. Better trade option?

    T/U:
    OUT – Grundy, Setterfield, Ashcroft
IN – English, Stewart, S. Mitchell

    T/D:
OUT – McKenna, O. Baker, Wilmot
IN – Stewart, S. Mitchell, Wagner

    Cheers!

    5

    14
  17. Do I dare bring in Matty Rowell as Miller will be out a while?

He’s burnt us all in the past but has been solid and could step up as the number 1 mid.

    TU: do it
    TD: too risky

    9

    11
  18. Trade options? I have to trade Grundy this week, did not pass the eye test Monday night

    TU out Grundy, michaelanny, ginbey
    In Darcy, Coniglio, Cincotta

    TD out Grundy, gulden, Mackenzie
    In English, Coniglio, SMitchell

Which is the better set of trades?
Ps will be trading Marshall to Gawn in a couple of weeks

  19. 26 trades, 3 boosts left

    Trade out: Cowan, McKenna, Wilmot
Trade in: Mitchell, Wagner, Day / Ziebell

    Comment; Day vs Ziebell

  21. Tough one for me, not enough for a premo so need value.

    Out: Cowan & JHF

    TU: Day & Mitchell
    TD: Rowell & Mitchell
Comment: Cogs & Mitchell (already have green & Jelly)

Already have Satan, Laird, Bont, Green, LDU…
So, who to select as Touk replacement :

    T/U Walsh
    T/D Serong

  23. Which rookie should I trade out for Day?
    Wilmot, Jones, Baker or Ginbey
I have Constable in the mids so dont mind holding Wilmot for that D/M loop

    1

    1
    1. I’m a fan of holding Wilmot this week: doable BE and I have bigger problems. Baker is a safe slow burn. Tough choice between the other two. They both play, but also have similar [but small] out concerns.

      Who to drop?
      TU Ginbey
      TD Jones

      1. Cheers Memesota.
Yeah I agree but there was a post above with Jones and Wilmot, and the majoirty had voted to trade out Wilmot over Jones. So now not sure!

        1. People generally want to rage trade someone who stunk it up on field the day or two after.

I’d keep Gibney once that sun score goes out of his average he still has money to make and West Coast is too injured to not play him.

Think it’s between Wilmont and Jones. Think both are good trade candidates.

          2

  24. Wilmot, Phillipou, Comben > Mitchell, Wagner, Cogs. 22 Trades 2 boosts remaining.

    TD: Do it
    TD: Two downgrades only

    3

    5
  25. Just a thought. Is it silly to trade Worpel for day? I know Worpel be is down now but I’m worried he goes back to scoring 40-60 with day back in. Watching Worpel closely is very frustrating to me seems uninterested.
TU – trade in for day
    TD – silly, keep him

    7

    8
    1. The way I see the bounty of fun midprice gambles we got this year, is they score a bit better than a rookie whilst they fatten, until an easy swap for a proper premo. Or best case they become a legit keeper like Ziebell 😀

If you reckon Day is a permanent fixture for your backline, then go for it imo. Especially if you’ve been a little disciplined with trades so far and could afford a further upgrade into a super premo if the worst were to happen and Day drops off. Day’s BE is low as well so I’m not sure if Worpels money making potential would be any different

      2

      0
  26. TU – Grundy, Wilmot – English, Mitchell
TD – Setterfield, Wilmot – Day, Mitchell

Also considering Cogs over Day for Setterfield trade

    9

    1
  27. TU: Wilmot and ROB -> Wagner and Darcy

TD: Hold trades, Wilmot still low BE, give ROB one more week vs Collingwood with no real ruck

    2

    5
  28. OUT – Wilmot, McKenna, Ginbey
    IN – Day, Ryan, Wagner

This is made possible my cash I had left over from downgrades last week. Already have Mitchell

    7

    3
  29. First, and likely unwise, instinct is:
Miller & Setterfield for Walsh and Day.
Will leave me with negligible cash in the kitty but I’m hoping to be able to cull the standard rookies who still have viable CG at the appropriate time, one up/one down, and be in a position to pick up future fallen premos.
I already have Seamus but would be forgoing Wagner with this plan.

    TU
    TD

    4

  30. Cowan – Wagner
    Wilmont – Mitchell
    Mckenna – Cogs

Banking 44k for next week, will look into getting in Sicily.

  31. DEF: Dawson, Daicos, Stewart, McKenna, Ginbey, Wilmot (Cowan, Constable)
MID: Bont, Laird, Merrett, Green, Hopper, Ashcroft, Phillips, Phillipou (Baker, McLean, A.Davey)
    RUC: Grundy, Marshall (Madden)
FWD: Dunkley, Taranto, Rozee, Ziebell, Sheezel, Chandler (Greene, van Rooyen)
$152, 000 ITB, 29 trades and four boosts

TU – Mckenna, Baker, McLean > Seamus Mitchell, Sinclair (via DPP), C.Wagner ($104,100 ITB)
TD – Mckenna, Baker > Seamus Mitchell and Cogs ($90k ITB + save trade boost)

    Open to suggestions!!

    2

    3
    1. For starters swap one of your DPP forwards into another line so you can get your good forward rookies on field

      0

      0
  32. Not looking for a stepping stone, this trade will be for a potential final D6 keeper for rest of year (barring injury and or long suspension)

    TU – Ziebell
    TD – Day

    12

    4
  33. I have Blicavs at R2 (avg 89) I have +$500K ITD. Should i trade boost to flick Blicavs? I have Grundy at R1 and Ratu at R3.

    cheers

    8

    1
  34. 2 intriguing players I am considering. They have both been tracking very similarly and are around the same price, total points and average..

Sinclair – I think he is having a great year but he isn’t scoring that well and I am not sure why. Have the Champion Data guys got it in for him?
Mills – Longmire is making it tough for this guy to do what he does best but despite this he has been going ok. Can start at fullback and still just about manage a ton so imagine upside if/when the reigns come off..

    TU – Sinclair
    TD – Mills

    1

    6
  35. Will be trading out Wilmot & McKenna for Mitchell & Wagner.
If I want to trade in a premium, I will need to use my 3rd boost and options are –

TU : Trade out L Jones for T Stewart with $62,500 in the bank
TD : Trade out Cowan for S Coniglio with $72,000 in the bank

    12

    4
  36. TU – Florent (Day replacement pfft) Wilmot Long >> Bonts Day Mitchell
TD – Yeah, nah. Rethink it.

    6

    0
  37. TU – Bruce, Cole, Ashcroft > Mitchell, Cincotta, Walsh

TD – Wilmot, Cole, Ashcroft > Mitchell, Cincotta, Laird

Leaning towards the first as it moves on Bruce who won’t be back for 6-8 weeks, but means I miss out on Laird.

    6

    1
  38. Out – Grundy,Mckenna,Philipou
    In – Darcy, Merrit, Wagner

    TU -Do It
    TD – English, Wagner, S.Mitchel + Cash

    0

    3
  39. Michalanney + McKenna out
    In
    TU: S Mitchell + Stewart
TD: S Mitchell + Day – saves cash for more upgrades

    10

    1
  40. B: Stewart, Lloyd, Sicily, Redman, McKenna, S.Mitchell (Chesser, Gilbee)
M: Bont, Laird, Neale, Green, Hopper, Ashcroft, Wilmot, Wagner (Roberts, Constable, Cincotta)
    R: Grundy, Marshall (Madden)
F: Dunkley, Taranto, Rozee, Gulden, Ziebell, Sheezel, (Greene, JVR)

6.4k in the bank, 24 trade and two boosts available…. some assistance would be great!!

Would love to go Wilmot –> to someone then Grundy –> English

    1

    0
  41. TU: Roberts > Wagner ( non scoring rookie to start cash gen)

TD: Phillipou > Wagner (More cash, offload roberts when another rookie pops up)

    3

    2
    1. My only other option is to bring in Day instead of Cogs. It would alleviate my primary headache of having no scoring rookies on the bench in my defence.

TU: Cogs (DEF Bench – Constable/Chesser, MID Bench: Hollands/Baker/Davey)
TD: Day (DEF Bench – Wagner/Constable, MID Bench: Chesser/Baker/Davey, Hollands on field)

      0

      5
    1. I’d be picking Cripps. Walsh has had back surgery and could be rested for soreness, so is a risk. If you want him I’d be waiting and picking him up later in the season.

      1

      0
  42. With no Wagner, is Sturt a decent option to make some cash for the failed Roberts? Need that job security but hard to have faith

    TU: Give Sturt a shot
TD: Wait a week or two and see what other options pop up

    7

    8
  43. Cowan > Mitchell
    Rowston > Cincotta
    Phillips > Walsh

I was considering outing other players like Wilmot and McKenna, but with the rookie mentioned above being omitted, I need to keep the ones that are still playing.

I could’ve gone Bont instead of Walsh, but I want some good cash left over so I can upgrade McKenna to someone decent next week.

    5

    0
  44. TU – Wilmot, Cowan & Phillipou -> Mitchell, Cincotta & Coniglio

TD – Cowan -> Mitchell. Give Wilmot and Phillipou one more chance. And get another look at Cincotta before bringing him in.

    0

    6
  45. Trading Mackenzie, Touk and Cowan

Would leave me with 3 boosts and 27 trades. Started with Laird, Dawson, English, Oliver, Daicos – so not many fish to chase, however cash generation is becoming an issue with non playing rooks

TU: Bont, Wagner, Mitchell and $300k ITB
TD: Bont, Mitchell and Day – no cash

    0

    11
  46. Mid-price clearance or just get the Bont?

TU: Pickett, Hunter, H Clark > Mills, Sinclair, Mitchell
TD: Pickett, Phillipou, Wilmot > Bont, Mitchell, Sturt

    4

    10
  47. Touk replacement, laird was obvious, already own bont and oliver. But with this potential late out got me thinking.
Say laird avereges 125-127, and somone like walsh/zerret averages 115-117. Thats 8-10 extra pts pee rd for the next 15 rounds or so. So about 120 to 150 pts that laird nets. However if he is a late out, that means i get a roughly 60pt player on field. So that cuts the laird advantage to 60-90 pts, however that still puts laird ahead despite missing 1 week. Given his current price as well, its more likely he rises beyomg 630k rather than drops, so potentially copping a 60pt rookie might be worth it .

Tu:laird and risk the late out
    Td: zerret/walsh

    4

    9
  48. TU: Go early on Ollie Hollands/Ashcroft so I can trade in Cogs (would also involve going Wilmot/McKenna down)
TD: Hold and wait for them to maximise CG

Unfortunately I’m 10k off going McKEnna and Wilmot to Mitchell and Coniglio

    0

    3
  49. T/U – Touk, Phillipou & Wilmot to Cogs, Day & Mitchell

T/D – Touk, Setterfield & Wilmot to Cogs, Walsh & Mitchell

    4

    3
  50. TU: Stewart
Also completes defence or forward with Ziebell /Sheezel Swing
    TD: Merrett
Leaves one rookie at def and fwd

    6

    1
  51. These 2 are set
    Touk > walsh
    Cowan > Mitchell

    Use boost and go
    Setterfield to cogs
    T/U yes
    T/D not worth it

    9

    1
  52. TU – trade out Settlefield & Cowan for Macrae & S Mitchell
TD – trade out Settlefield & Gibney for Laird & S Mitchell

Would prefer Laird over Macrae but
    – Worried Laird was sore from last week may be late out
    – Better to get rid of Cowan (dropped this week) over Gibney (should still make money)

    6

    0
  53. Miller > Degoey
    Byrnes > Ziegull
    Davey > S. Mitchell
Would have exchanged Miller for Laird but calf is a worry so won’t go there for now. Neale is uninspiring to me atm so believe going for value is better right now and keeping some coin to grab Big Maxy in the coming weeks.
Currently have Oliver ,Bont & green .
    So Tu yes
or Td and get a more fancied mid.

    2

    1
  54. I’m cutting my losses with LDU, he’s missing again this week and has never looked good physically since he was a late out (I brought him in with Steele).

    LDU > Cogs
    Roberts > Day
    Long > Mitchell

    7

  55. Original plan was:
    Michalanney & McKenna -> Mitchell & Stewart

    Or….
Michalanney, McKenna & Ashcroft -> Mitchell, Day, Coniglio

    TU: Original plan
    TD: New plan

    Thanks team!

TD: And at the same time do Sheezel to S Walsh and use my first boost.

  57. Bought in sinclair this week via a boost before LDU news.

TU: reverse trades and replace LDU this week.

TD: hold a week and if its long term then replace him with a premo next week.

This week i can cover him by moving one of taranto / dunkley / rozee / gulden to mid

  58. McKenna to Mitchell
    Grundy to English
    Ldu to Oliver = TU

  59. TU: Sicily

  60. TU:
    Grundy > Stewart
    Roberts > Mitchell
    * Play S.Ryan ruck and get max next week

    T/D:

    Setterfield > Stewart
    L. Jones > Mitchell

    Cheers guys

  61. With Laird in doubt and LDU with his injury worries do I go LDU to

    TU: A premium like Walsh
TD: Will Day because to gain another $ 100000 as I have only $ 80000 available to spend

    4

    1
  62. Tu- In de goey, day, Rowell out LDU, touk, McKenna

Td- in S.Mitchell, day, Merrett out touk, Phillipou, McKenna
(Bench LDU for the week have to field alwyn Davey)

    2

  63. Out: McKenna, Ashcroft, Setters
    In: S. Mitchell, Cogs, Walsh

The outs were effectively self-selected by the $$ I needed to generate for ins.
