  1. Easy ones this week I think..
    Cadman > Biggie/Garcia
    Williams > Walsh

Only question is, what happened to Massimo? Tactical sub off?

    Cheers community !

        1. Depending on prices I have been planning these trades all week.

          Out – Jackson, Fisher and McKercher/ Sanders/Williams
In – The Bont, Serong/Butters and H Garcia

No more Fisher feel really good.

        2. Don’t even think it matters, Baz.

Just take any live upgrades. Can’t be picky. Saints rate run and tackle, so if he gets named for his 3rd then we go.

Few others. McAuliffe, Biggie, Drury, Tunstill, Hamill, other Garcia.

    1. Wowza. The week I prematurely sacked Mass and Zwill to get to Rowell the basically both tonned. Next week, they’re both subbed.

      Funny game.

      1. That was the week I beat you in our match up, mainly due to those two tonning up.
Now they are on the chopping block.

You are right, it is a funny game.

  2. I am completely lost as to what to do with Laird! Game time down, scores significantly down and mid minutes seem to be gone. He scored decently for the first 4 games but this was also with reduced minutes. Only averaging around 75%-78% game time across all 6 games.

I know that Adelaide are trying to play the young guys through the middle which seems to be effecting his mid minutes. My concern is that since he is the oldest out of him and Dawson and crouch that he will be the one to suffer.

I think there will be games that they throw him in the middle more and he scores well but I think this is the week to jump ship onto someone like Walsh for a similar price?

I hate sideways trading but I just can’t see an upside for laird at this point.

    T/U keep laird
T/D trade to a walsh type

A discussion around this would be greatly appreciated. Is Dawson worth considering now?

    1. Wait for teams before going with biggie. He was horrible and basically a witches hat first half. Maybe was still impacted by his knock. Second half was much better when comben went forward but still looked really lost in the aerial contest at times. North will surely make a statement in selection so he could be at risk of loosing his spot.

  3. The question for me/us now is whether I start entertaining the following players or just play it straight and go proper premos hoping CG comes through.

    1) Dale

Ripped a massive score after having gone 90, 100, 90, subbed and dropped sub. I had him the year he popped off but have since steered clear after a loss of HB economy. Bevo super erratic and starting to understand that role defenders, no matter how green, need to play (eg. Buku, O’Donnell). Gonna be 430k for maybe 90~ season long and that risk profile.

    2) Macrae

Certainly not going to go there yet but looks like we can’t just put him out of our minds. Coasted in a big win and suppose in the 22 we eventually grab him but I hate the non-descript role and the fact he hasn’t been regarded as essential personnel. Fine numbers season long if he gets some continuity.

    3) Zorko

Might need a little more urgency for Zorko however. Mostly HB but having contributions at stoppage and on the scoreboard. Technically now has a triple digits average and scoring range. Don’t want overpay and waste cash on FWDs so think it’s move now if we want him. Will be 550k. Brings in a whole other question of when to go for a FWD now.

    4) Dawson

Don’t think I’ll go there and will instead opt to play the MIDs pure but it was crazy to see his 170 with intercept, scoreboard and midfield economy the other night. Had a few errors that honestly would have seen him go 200 otherwise. There’s still his whole start to this point and the prospect of Crouch returning (shudder). Mad value though.

Yeah, so these kind of players I see as season defining rn. Obvious immense savings and aid in the quests to FP and finding FWDs but they can easily end up major headf*cks.

    1. I think we are going to need to find value somewhere. Since so many rookies have blown their load early there aren’t many good downgrade targets coming. After the Garcia bros it’s pretty grim. Think we are going to have to accept a slut at M8 or look to hold a Fisher type at F6 till the byes. Satan at sub 500k just has so much upside. Averages 100 just with his OB economy with the potential to go massive. Dale obviously inflated against St Kilda but can do 90-100. Point is we need to look at a budget pick somewhere and Clarry, Macrae and Dale have the most upside.

      12

      2
    2. Good summary GD. I’m still not sure Zorko really counts as value at his price now and even at his best he was never consistent. Am definitely considering the other 3 though and know that the people who get the one(s) that work will be in really good positions but so will the ones who fade them all if they don’t pay off

      2

      1
      1. Hey Johnno! I think maybe the difference from before with Zorks is that Rich and Hodge and Birchall and Coleman etc.. were the preferred distributors in the backline and Zorko played wing mid/ forward mid. Even with the Irishman returning,In my view that role is his for the whole year. Still hard choices all round though!!

        8

        0
    3. Macrae got a bump in midfield time with Libba out. Will it continue is the question.

I was keen on him pre-season and at $480k seems a fair price

      4

      9
    4. I’m backing in Zorko! I mentioned him a couple of weeks ago and was hoping McKenna would play this week to see if the role would change. I don’t have many premos in the round 12 bye and I am losing trust in my forward rookies.

      3

      1. Got him three weeks ago…very happy. Hb role will be easy on his hammies too. Now, please don’t belt someone !!!

    5. I have penciled in both Macrae and Dawson this week after a double down last week.

Dawson was all about disposal efficiency, hopefully that game is the turning point. I started him, traded him after one price drop and have watchlist him since with the hope of bringing him in around $500k, so this is the week that probably has to happen.

Macrae is a bit more of a gamble, but if he works out wont be this cheap again.

Oliver will come in the moment he shows something and Petracca and English are a few games from bottom. I hope some more rookies come through as will need to keep up the upgrade cycle.

Hopefully with more trades you can run a loophole between M7,8 & 9 to pay matchups each week and have good coverage on all lines.

      4

      1
        1. I understand everyone’s issue with Crouch coming back, but I’m getting Dawson this week (pending team selection disasters). In terms of getting the footy he’s only had one bad game, which was against Carlton where Cripps absolutely killed him. Apart from that game he’s just struggled with disposal efficiency, and I reckon he’s too good for that trend to continue. Textbook fallen premium.

By the way, Cripps is not getting enough love this season. He has already annihilated some good players in head-to-head matchups and is still cheaper than Walsh.

  4. My initial thoughts are
    Out: Williams, Jackson and Cadman
    In: Martin, Gawn and Nyuon

My issue is that’ll leave me with 2 boosts left. My thoughts on Williams is that his cash gen is done, and isn’t gonna be doing enough to justify keeping his spot in our sides. Jackson is a bit trickier – I can trade Grundy instead (but think he will make a bit more after a big score on the weekend), and with Darcy back his scoring will dry up a little bit – but Darcy could miss later on in the season, making Jackson a forward target. And Cadman is to help fund the other two trades – but do think his cash gen is done.

TU – sounds reasonable, and should pull the trigger
TD – reset and try again

    16

    11
    1. With neither Cadman or Darcy getting DPP, Jackson is a hold just for his ruck coverage over the best 22 weeks alone

      27

      1
    1. With Walsh right there at the exact same price, yeah. He is.

Baird will go on and appear bounce back v North but it doesn’t matter. Not Top 8, only gone at 105, not a good pick this year.

      Walsh covers.

      11

      12
  5. Everything is pointing towards Sheezel being swung forward next week. If he starts to play as a full time mid/forward I suspect he will average around 90. Thoughts on using him as a cash cow after next week to facilitate English in? Can be picked up again after his early bye for closer to 500k.

    1

    1. Welcome back to another episode of Terrible Suggestions. This week pre-emptively trade out a player doing 127.3 at 53% ownership and BE 99 for no reason in the middle of upgrade season.

      32

      5
      1. Hence the “after this week” GD. Look at the role and if it’s poor he can be moved on to a defender who will average 10 PPG more while allowing you to bank 150k. The game has changed from when it was 30 trades no boosts. Traditional supercoach thinking only applies the majority of the time these days.

Same applies to Gawn -> RoMo and potentially Heeney to a big boy mid.

        6

        20
        1. Sorry Roo, are u saying that you’re looking at trading Gawn to RoMo and Heeney to a Mid? Surely, can’t be right.

          2

          1
          1. Yeah I want to find an inflated premo downgrade somewhere. 650k and 2 x 300k rookies is a triple upgrade with a small bank of 100-150k. Effectively cutting 4 fat rookies for 3 upgrades and one downgrade. It worked really well with Clarry to Zerrett last year.

            1

            10
  6. This week I can go

Zilliams and Sanders to; Garcia and Naicos/Walsh

    Which one should I get?

    TU: Naicos
    TD: Walsh

    41

    9
    1. Daicos break even 95 and is sure to be tagged hard by the bombers so another low score is likely after that he has his nemesis Carlton who he has a 4 game ave of just 80.5 against and a high score of just 100. He is very unlikely to change in price or be a must have in next 2 weeks
Walsh breakeven is 33 and he has Cats at MCG this week last 2 times v cats @mcg he scored 126 and 158 if he only ave 115 in next 2 games he’ll increase by about 50k .

Yes Walsh has a history of injuries but they have been mostly off season injuries where he missed a few games before returning strongly. He’s not a tissue paper player like Williams, Yeo, Jones, King etc

      1

      1
  7. Why did Dawson go so massive this week when he’s been underperforming all season? Is this an outlier, or has something changed structurally etc that could mean he’s turned a corner?

Trying to decide whether to risk upgrading to him at a discount vs someone like serong as a safer option.

    0

    1
    1. Because he’s the greatest player to ever play the game. Idk I’m an owner and a Draper crunching tackle must’ve loosened or tightened something in his brain and it clicked midway through the second quarter.

      3

      8
    2. My guess is it’s because he played a larger role with Crouch out of the side? This season it seems Crouch has had the bulk midfield role, explaining Dawson and Laird’s fall from grace…. Just my own opinion though I could be way off.

      12

      1
      1. It has been Dawson, Crouch and Laird as the main 3. It wasn’t working so last week Rankin and Soligo got a lot of midfield and Dawson went forward. This week no Crouch, so we don’t know what the new mix will be, but Dawson was awesome around the ground, some of his overhead marks very very important. The problem is Crouch can’t play anywhere else.

        6

  8. Ranked around 400 OR, and faded Harley Reid (don’t ask)

    Eyeing up:
    Cadman -> Reid
Carroll -> Mcaullife (already have Hugo)

Only problematic rookie on-field becomes Sam Darcy or Hugo Garcia.
Banking on Reid being a F6 keeper or at least the last upgraded to a Bolton / Jackson type. Tough fade when 96% of the top 1% have him…

Short-term potential targets become Jordan Dawson, Jack Macrae, Tom Green and Christian Petracca

    9

    11
    1. I’m hesistant to give advice to anyone with that ranking – but yep, do it.

Try to forget the fact that he’s a rookie….a forward priced at less than $400K and averaging 115 in his last three is hen’s teeth this season.

Might be a keeper, might not, doesn’t matter.

      3

      1
      1. Cheers Chillo, I think in any other circumstance it’s a ridiculous move.

But it allows me to chop Carroll (instead of Williams), run just one sketchy rookie OF, save a boost, and at worst he makes me 60-70k, best case he’s my F6.

Macrae is the other I could go if I sack Williams, but I think Macrae is just as sketchy…

        2

  9. Thinking Sharp and Cadman to Dawson and Garcia but do I:

TU: use second last boost for Z Williams to Dale
TD: save the boost and cash for a proper upgrade next week

    2

    15
  10. Who out for Zac Williams
TU- Luke Ryan (16k in bank)
TD- Elliot Yeo (84k in bank)
Comment – Lachie Whitfield (117k in bank and upgrade to another premo next week)

    24

    9
  11. All the hype this week will be on Walsh. Will he be a top 8 mid this year? Does his body hold up and he outscores pertacca, serong, green from here?

I like trac over him but he may be cheaper in a few weeks. I don’t have any of the above and can’t afford butters or Rowell. So thinking serong.

    TU: Serong
    TD: Walsh

    27

    9
    1. Top 8 average I can believe. But will he play enough? I feel like there are other options who will score similar amounts with less injury risk. If you have a ton of trades the risk might be worth.

      4

  12. Need to trade one of either Sharp, Cadman or Darcy?

All have good JS, just need the cash for an upgrade.

    1

    3
  13. 34 trades left so wondering whether to
    TU: Trade out Stewart
TD: Ride out the week or 2, take his next price drop and risk losing a league game or 2

    8

    26
    1. To be competitive, you need to be aggressive with your trading. If you are in the top 1000 teams and you’ve only used 6 trades, that would be amazing. Aggressive players will be looking to trade Stewart in during the next few weeks.

      0

  14. Tu: sanders and Williams to Dawson and H.Garcia/mcaluiffe (via dpp)

Td: sanders Williams and cadman to walsh, H.Garcia/mcaluiffe (via dpp) and R.Garcia

Using my boost here would be using my last boost left

    1. Bont is the one player in my midfield who has gone down in price and I would love to have him at that price. You are lucky to be in that position.

      4

      0
  15. Back- Ryan, daicos, yeo, nas, dambrosio, williams, clohesy(d7)
mid- serong, rozee, green, gulden, N. Martin, bonner, Roberts, sanders
(obvious trade out being sanders to garcia)
leaves 332k itb… able to get any premium when trading out Williams but unsure who to get due to so many options
    tu- sheezel
td- premo mid (butters, Rowell, Bont, Steele, etc.)
    appreciate any suggestions

    2

    6
    1. Sheezel is expensive but he has been consistent in a team that surely cant get worse. For me he is a luxury but a safe bet.

      6

      0
  16. Williams and Sharp out
    Garcia and Zorko in

I’ve been eyeing off Zorko for a couple of weeks and I’m taking a shot on him as I can’t trust my forward rookies. He has a BE of 66 and I don’t want to throw anything more on him.

    5

    2
    1. I figure if you are eyeing Zorko this is probably last chance any higher and im not sure he is great value. Dont see McKenna coming back in quickly or taking the role as Zorks is one of the few who has been decent.

      2

      0
  17. Sitting at 62 OR and have been trying to be reasonably patient, still have all my boosts. I think this will be one of the crucial weeks for me as im holding a number of players id like to move on and i think if i dont finish them off now I may lose pace. My current assessment is:
Priority changes this week: Williams, Sanders, lazzaro
    Can wait: Jackson, Mannagh, Pink
    Probably to soon: Cadman, D’Ambrosio

I have a little cash in the bank which informs my approach of looking at who to dump first rather than a specific target. Thumbs up if you think this is reasonably sensible – happy to debate in the comments otherwise.

    18

    1
    1. Looks good to me. Cadman and D’Ambrosio look ripe for next week or the week after, perfect timing for a Merrett or a Green who look to bottom out in the next couple of weeks

      2

      1
      1. 5 OF – Clohesy, Sharp, Graham, Ried, Comben. Im sliding a little last couple of weeks because im trying to be patient and milk the current rookies who have value since there are less options coming in.

The rank is a poisoned chalice though. Ive been living overseas but thought id play for fun and give in when my risky picks didnt work out but they all have and now im low key obsessive. I may never get here again.

        7

        0
    1. A thought on both here, I have houston and had him since the start because I think he is a long term reliable, he wont get this score every week. Are you picking him because he is hot or because you think he will last the season? Same with Walsh, he is hot but can you manage if he gets injured.

I think the key here is both of these trades should be thinking about the long term plan even though both are hot right now.

  18. Touk Miller is doing my head in! Up and down in scores and no consistent good scores. Reluctant to do a sideways trade but….

    What do you think?

TU – sideways trade to Rowell
TD – keep him, he’ll come good

    4

    29
    1. It’s a luxury trade – but if you are happy to make that move then go for it. I’m holding on to him as I want to cover off other lines first, then wait and see how ol Touk goes. Wouldn’t be surprised if he picks up soon

      7

      0
  19. This week looking at DAmbo, Sanders and Jackson to Walsh, Serong and H Garcia leaves me with mids of Butters, Bont, Serong, Green, Gulden, Walsh, Laird, and Reid. Im worried about Jackson dropping significantly with less mid time but I then do have Laird that suffers similar issue. Do you think it better to keep Jackson as ruck cover and sideways Laird.
    TU trade Jackson
    TD trade Laird

    2

    17
    1. Tough one.
Depends if both Loob & Ugal-Hagan will play this week. Then I’d say Darcy
Greene & Hogan are suspended this week, Cadman with a BE of 36 may do well and make a bit more cash.

      7

      0
  20. tempted to use the boost this week
tu- Z. williams, sanders, powell to zorko, garcia, and Dawson
td- keep boost, sanders and williams out for garcia and sheezel

    1

    18
  21. LET ME KNOW YOUR THOUGHTS!

    Should I do:

    Out: Jackson, Sharp, Sanders
    In: Walsh, Rowell, Garcia
    55K itb

I am tempted on Nic Martin, but since I can afford Rowell thought I may as well splash a bit.

    14

    3
  22. $1,225,000 for two premos. Need to regain some rank after a rough fortnight
    TU: Walsh and Petracca
    TD: Merrett and Green

Happy to take suggestions on other lines too. Current Premos/keepers
    Stewart, Sheezel, Daicos
    Heeney, Flanders, Powell

    11

    19
  23. I have Carroll and Clark on the bench, losing money each week. Have had other issues and haven’t been able to move them on.
This could all go south if McAuliffe isn’t named – but could go early on Garcia from the dogs if he’s named.

I’m thinking I have to boost this week to make an upgrade.
Clark, Carroll and Bonner to Garcia, McAuliffe and Dawson – I’m 25k short of Walsh.

Or I hold a Clark or Carroll and move on someone like Darcy, Williams or Mass (Probably Darcy at this stage) a bit earlier than necessary to afford a Walsh.

    Thoughts? Leave a comment!
TU: Get rid of the dying rookies and just go with Dawson.
TD: Go early and use the funds on Walsh.

    12

    2
  24. Had to hold Sanders and Kerch last week. Both are leaking.
TU: Keep holding and hope for some bounce back.
TD: Get the trades done asap.

    Comment: if one goes, who?

    3

    13
    1. Both are forecast to lose some cash over the next 2 weeks, then make it back in the following 2 weeks. SO I figure they are not urgent to dump if you have other problems to fix- unless they re the sub- in which case I’ll be booting them out

      4

      0
  25. Can’t split these two this week. What do you guys think?

    TU – Zach Merrett
    TD – Zac Butters

Petracca can wait for a couple more weeks.
Not sure about Sam Walsh this year with his history of back issues. Had Walsh last year and regretted that move.

    Thanks

    19

    15
    1. Have you checked byes? I know round 14 is looking pretty tough for most teams while Butters has the round 13 which is only shared with Freo so could decide that way

      2

  26. ZWill > H Garcia is a no brainer

Next trade is tricky. Anyone will be enough cash for a premo

    Who do I trade….

Sharp, Darcy Dogs, Lohman or Comben?

Can trade out Bonner, who has a +70BE or Ambro +40BE

Worth holding and only doing ZWILL trade?
    TU – 1 Trade
TD – Upgrade to a Diacos/Serengeti type this week
Could do a double upgrade next week

    Cheers everyone

  27. Early doors but if all things go well, gonna be culling some of the bigger cash cows (Sharp, Williams and fisher?) and bringing in 2 guns. With no funds to worry about who are the 2 must haves considering price, break even and upcoming fixtures

Out of the likes of Heeney, Ryan, Sheezel, Serong, Butters, Rowell, Walsh ETC.

    1. For mine Heeney has gotten too expensive, we still havent seen how his role will change with players returning. If I had to pick it would be Sheezel and Rowell. Sheezel looks to be a solid contribute and things cant get worse for the Roos.

Rowell might be my favorite pick this year he is going to get consistent solid scores with the fact that he gets such a high amount of contested balls/tackles. He might not need to hit high possessions every week. Less chance of a really high score though.

      2

      2
  28. 1st trade Z. Williams for H.Garcia

Need to improve forward line – have got Heeney and flanders.

    Macrae, Jackson or Zorko?

    0

    2
    1. My thoughts are:

Maccrae – Bevo factor must be considered and not enough evidence to suggest he is back
Jackson – I have traded him out as he will lose money with Darcy back. Pick him up $100k cheaper just before the byes.
Zorko – started with him and been very happy. Has the HB seagull role that works well for supercoach

      2

      2
    2. You have the only 2 worth having at this point. Zorko… will he remain magnificent? Dubious. Macrae… Will Bevo let him crush it? Dubious. L Jackson… Will Darcy stuff him? He’s kind of stuffed regardless. May have some big scores, but no thanks. Then it’s take your pick on rollercoaster key forwards. Disappointing no one of interest was made fwd via DPP. I’m concentrating on Defenders and Mids as they’re an easier read/more plentiful at this stage.

  29. Coffield – Garcia
    Carroll – McAuliffe
    Williams – Walsh

Eyeing Trac and Stewart i the next two weeks.

    7

    1
  30. Probably been asked but just curious, is anyone holding Sanders and hoping he can string a few non sub games together?

    TU Yep keeping the faith
TD Nope Bevo has it in for him

    10

    19
    1. Its not a simple question since he has scored well when on field but we cant risk bevo and would need to get low scores out of the system. Its a real shame.

      1

      0
    2. I am keeping him, more for F8 on field points, when he plays a full game I trust his scoring more than Cadman, etc, & against the right opposition. He will spike again at some point but not so much keeping for the $$ in my case. I think he will pump out a really good score or two before he is done

      1. Yep! That’s my big fear I’ve been burnt before.

Just think GC’s run is too good to ignore and Cerra still to come back in for Carlton

  31. OUT: Sanders, Williams, Powell
    IN: H Garcia, Houston, Miller/Walsh/Dawson
6-55k ITB Depending, if Dawson, can straight swap Crouch for Green next week

    TU: Yes
    TD: Don’t trade Powell

    4

    14
    1. Powell looks like he can be a useful stop gap until we get a chance to upgrade. He may be one of the last to move. Not as much priority as a cash cow, others can help with that.

  32. Out:
    Williams, stewart, sanders
    in:
walsh/martin(or any def or mid premo), h garcia, biggie

    could also pass on biggie

    TU or TD?

    10
    1. I reckon pass on biggie to save a boost (if it was a Chlosey or something diff story) and go for the Walsh and Garcia

      8

  33. Will Blakey finish top 8 in Def?

Trading Williams this week and don’t have the money for Rowell or Houston which would be my preference.

TU: Bring in Dawson or Blakey
TD: Generate $$ and bring in Rowell or Houston next week?

    4

  34. Anyone else think going Sam Walsh is way too much of a risk?

Unbelievable player and has already shown his scoring potential but he’s got an ongoing back injury which he’ll have to manage throughout the season and could flare up at any time.

I could definitely see scenarios where he is managed or even becomes a candidate to be subbed out – especially in the latter part of the season if Carlton can lock in a top 4 spot.

    TU: Agree

    TD: Disagree

    26

    4
    1. Also two huge games have come without Cerra who is due back soon.

Think I’m happy to wait until later in the season – he’s always been prone to the odd 80 score to keep his price manageable.

      3

      1
    2. I’m taking the punt last 5 game average he’s played he’s averaged 132 if a back injury occurs I’ll deal with it later, pretty good value to ignore for the moment.

  35. Who will be the better trade in Walsh or N. Martin. Walsh can be a problem child but scoring better at the moment and should generate some cash, Martin doing OK at the moment. T/U. Walsh. T/ D. Martin

    11
  36. Similar price which can maintain the scores and has the Job Security?
    TU: Dale BE 54
    TD: Bowes BE 6

    1. If he was coached by anyone else I would consider Dale given his history. After this season I may never trust Bevo coached players again.

  37. to get walsh or not to get walsh.
his downside is the injury risk and the use of 2 trades to possibly get him in and out.
but the upside is a man who could average u 125 for the rest of the season and when(not if)he gets injured will be traded out at above the 650k mark for a straight swap to a merret or petracca type. im ranked 2000 OR so not sure whether to play the risky or safe approach
    Tu-get walsh
    Td-play it safe get houston

  38. I will be trading one of either Cadman or Sharp this week if I am to do an upgrade (feel like I need to do one as will have Stewart benched). Who goes first?

    TU: Cadman
    TD: Sharp

    13

    12
    1. Good question. Sharp has a BE of 72 v Cadman’s BE of only 36, which might seem to be an easy call but Sharp has capacity to score more than Cadman given his average is 10 pts greater. Think it really comes down to team balance and whether you think Sharp can get another 100+ score.

      5

      0
      1. Tend to agree, Sharp is scoring well enough that im not upset if he stays or goes down marginally while i get rid of other rookies.

        1

  39. Williams > Mac Andrew –
101 v Giants, 92 v Hawks, 103 V Swans, West Coast, Lions, North to come. He’s only 360k and if he ave 80 in his next 3 will increase by about 75k

    5

    10
    1. While I understand the logic on the player its a sideways move. I can see a world where he scores reasonably but do you have enough trades to upgrade again to a premium later? I would say try instead to wait and pick one of the top 6-8 defenders.

Its tough when you see an option which makes sense and feels like a good gamble based on the logic, and we have all had times where we were right and didnt go with it and it burns. But I think keeping it simple is better.

  42. Hi everyone – advice please

T/U Williams and NWM for Garcia and Walsh (leaves 200k for upgrade next week)

T/D Williams and Ambrossio/Sharp for Garcia and Dawson/Zorko (pass on Walsh)

    0

    17
  43. And who to trade in?

    T/U Dawson
    T/D Zorko

Any extra info/comments for the 3 queries above would be greatly appreciated

    16

    5
  44. Walsh or Miller?
TU – Walsh’s back is iffy but scoring well.
TD – Miller has a good run coming but competes with other mids.

Was $500 short on Serong, who comes in next round now.

    12

    1. I’ve got Meek, not exactly setting the world on fire. Think 2 weeks ago was the time to bring him in, before the +$80k price rise.

  45. Must admit- really confused on who to trade in with Dawson, Zorko, Walsh the standouts- but then you have guys like Gulden doing nothing wrong and should improve, and just a little dearer!
Next couple of weeks clearer with Bont, Oliver, Petracca, Stewart, English & Green super cheap.
    Keep stepping up rookies!

  46. TU – Pink + Williams -> Garcia + Walsh (36k itb, gets rid of a non-playing rookie)

TD – Sharp + Williams -> Garcia + L Ryan (163k itb, sets me up for an easy upgrade next week)

    Dempsey – Hugo Garcia
    Sharp – Dawson
    Williams – Houston

  48. Already done Sanders to Garcia. Got 2 boosts left
T/U: Utilise the boost and do Williams and Lazzaro to McAuliffe and Houston (or any premo for that matter)
    T/D: Just Sharp to Zorko

    1

    6
    1. Yep. Feel like he’s hitting his form from when he won the Brownlow.

Also less injury risk compared to Walsh.

  49. Current team:
DEF: Sheezel, Houston, Stewart, Williams, Massimo, Clohesy (Brown, Reid)
MID: Butters, Serong, Green, Martin, Daicos, Miller, Roberts, Sharp (Sanders, Thomas, Graham)
    RUCK: Gawn, Grundy (Livingstone)
FWD: Flanders, Powell, Fyfe, Reid, Comben, Darcy (Dempsey, Wilson)

    What should i do?
TU: Massimo, Williams, Sanders > Walsh, Zorko, H.Garcia
TB: Massimo, Williams, Sharp > Merrett, Dawson, H.Garcia

  50. Have 170k left over after these trades below so any suggestions on other premos to bring in instead of Walsh and Houston would be appreciated. Premos can be any position or price, looking for value and at minimum top 10 in their position by end of season.

8 trades and 2 boosts used before trades this week
Thinking of using a third boost to go

    Out: Sanders, LDU, Zac Williams
In: Sam Walsh, Dan Houston, and a rookie yet to decide who
    TU/TD:

    5

    1
  51. Trade up Sanders to Grundy via DPP Jackson
Trade down wait till English comes down in price and trade for another

    1

    6
    1. He might, but I think only if the blues play one ruck. That way he gets to run around in the middle, which is what I think got him his form back.

The blues are paying pretty big money for their two rucks (not as much as Freo!), so you would assume it would take a couple of losses for them to re-think that.

Carlton’s opposition this week, Geelong, will either have Stanley or Conway, with Blicavs of DK the fill in. DK will probably need to play full back the whole game on the bluebaggers in form forwards.

  52. TU: Jai Newcombe
    TD: Clay Oliver

Newcombe passed the eye test for me, even if they were just playing North. He was in constant motion, so I thinks he’s found his mojo.
Oliver had his hand operation, should be ready to post big scores again. Oliver could possibly wait till next week with his BE.

    0

    10
    1. SO I did a further deep dive into Oliver’s number and thought I would share with the group, in case anyone else is thinking of bringing him in.

The only time Oliver scored over 100 (109), he had to have 35 touches! The two scores in the 90’s he had mid-20 possessions, then his last 2 games, he had less that 20 possessions and scored 60’s.

While he’s always been a work horse and is capable of 30+ every week, his pre-season from hell is coming back to haunt him.

  53. Ah crap with McAuliffe out do we just have no choice but to trade in biggie if named?

I get the feeling north rate his potential do he may get a few games in a row which tbh is better than any other option.

The $150k downgrade allows me to have $200k for an upgrade next week

    1. Brisbane‘s Tunstill could be a good shout too. On the bubble but his first game was as sub so his average looks worse than it should. Reckon I’d still prefer Nyuon but that’s just another option

  54. Currently ranked 1.5k

Obviously Walsh and Dawson are massive talking points this week. I’m honestly getting very tempted by Dayne Zorko. Apparently his body is as good as it was in 2019, his role seems almost cemented with no kiddy and rich obviously retiring. I think the main thing is that he is a lock for top 6 forwards where as the others are potentially top 10-12. Am I crazy or have a point. Cheers legends

    6

    1
    1. I’m ranked 221 and going for Zorko. He has a BE of 66 so I’d say this is the last chance to buy him with value. Been playing half-back which helps reduce injury risk.
Reid being managed makes me have to play 3 forward rookies this week if I don’t bring him in.
No trust in Macrae because of Bevo

      3

      0
      1. Yeah great call mate, not going near Macrae or Dale yet. Both have been sub at some stage this year. Plus Libba to come back in, which will then push Richards back and who the he’ll knows what Macrae’s role will be. Similar to Dawson, he had gone 10 games without topping 120 whilst crouch in as in the side. So more so agree that Zorko is a decent option.

  56. Call any Crows supporters.

What is Will Hammill’s JS like?

Has been around for a few years, didn’t play at all in 2023. Is he ‘filling in’ for anyone who is injured?

2 games played, on the bubble. $148k DEF

    TU: JS is good

    TD: JS is poor

    1. Not a Crows man, and see if you can get Jim’s take, but they seem to like games into him despite him being very green. Nicks been effusive.

Injuries to Butts, Murray and Milera have forced them to play a makeshift defence.

If he gets that 3rd idm it, the Suns boys and even Howes are stable OF. This season we’re taking any live upgrades but he has next to no scoring power and I wouldn’t want him anywhere near OF.

Coming out of B18 going to be rude awakening for many.

  57. Liam Baker.

486k, DEF/FWD and what looks like a locked in midfield role at the tigers with their injuries and a last push to keep him at tigerland in 2025 and beyond… scores of 140, 97 & 93 since moving into the midfield. Only issue is the low CBA% it is a slight concern but his Heat map is very nice so he must push into the middle after CBs. he’s certainly not screaming out value but I’m very surprised he’s not being talked about more by anyone and he csnt get BEVOd week to week like macrae.. At the end of the day if he’s my F6 come seasons end I’m not going to be to disappointed.

    Am I crazy?

    1

    1
    1. I had him last year. Didn’t set world on fire at end of season. To many under 80 scores.

Bolton much better pick if you have the cash or Cadwell is playing well too

      1

      0
      1. Appreciate the reply simon and definitely understand your concern, just feel that
This year baker has a midfield role and getting some CBAs yze has said he wants baker in the middle i think they are trying to hold on to him so ge doesnt fly home to WA next season.. last year he was just used to plug holes and used as predominantly a forward looking at his best maps with 0 CBAs so I can understand his subpar scores.

Shai we should be able to pick Bolton off alot cheaper than 560k if we want at some point. But definitely has the x factor and high ceiling.

  58. Howdy everyone 🙂
What do you think of my team?
This week I am going Diacos, Garcia STK < McKercher, Williams…
Think this is a good move, leaves my team looking like this….

DEF – Sheezle, Diacos, Martin, Young, NWM, Bonner / Howes,Reid
Mids – Butters, Rowell, Libba, Flanders, Hewett, Roberts, Sharp, Clohesy / Ambro, Graham, Garcia
Rucks – Gawn, Grundy / Livingstone
FWD – Heeney, McKay, Rankine, Powell, Reid, Darcy / Lohman, Comben

    Looping Howes in Defense
Looping Lohman in Forwards – if bad score moving Reid into Mids for Flanders and Looping Garcia

16k ITB – 23 Trades left – Zero Boosts left – 6 upgrades to fullish premiums – then I can upgrade my fallen premiums

next week the plan is 1up 1down to get one of my most wanted top guns!
    Ambro(360k) and Bonner(395k) most likely

Round 9 Trades looking like 2 of either Howes(300k)/Sharp(340k)/Comben(300k)/Darcy(300k),Lohman(300k)

Round 10 and 11 the rest go

    Targets –
    Def – Houston
    Mids – Serong/Gulden/Petracca
    FWD – Bolton/Macrae or Cadwell

    Bye structure through bye rounds
    12 – 6 non playing/23 playing
    13 – 3/26
    14 – 8/21
    15 – 6/23

Ok guys and gals, what you think about my plan?
TU – Thought out Ok but will need a few more rooks to come through, Not bad!

  60. Hi everyone – advice please

T/U Williams, Sharp and Cadman to Garcia Nuuyon and Walsh ( leaves 130k for upgrade via 2 trades with other Garcia next week)
T/D Williams and Sharp to Garcia and Dawson/Zorko (save a boost but with no money for next week – would need to use boost next week to get cash but can only see other Garcia as only rookie downgrade ?

Thinking that Nuuyon won’t last long so T/D the way to go – any other thoughts please
