My Top Five Rookie’s (<$200k) of the week:
1) D Zorko (Mid/Fwd 113k) Last week I had Zorko as a speculative number 5 having scored a very modest 15 with the vest…. And then BAM! He belts out a lazy even-ton. Zorko smashed out 18 possessions 7 marks, 6 tackles and a goal in a very impressive performance….. If you missed the boat with Horsely or Adams, then don’t miss the Zorko express.
2) J Jenkins (Ruck 113k) A former NBL baskerballer who looked promising in the NAB Cup and was picked up by the Crows off the Essendon rookie list. Jenkins had 7 disposals took 4 marks and kicked a goal in his first up run and ended up with 80 points.. and has now backed it up with a 96, having had 13 disposals, 8 marks, 4 tackles and 2 goals and some serious praise from Wayne Carey on the radio who was very impressed. I’m am concerned the Crows can’t fit Sauce, Tippet, Walker and Jenkins in the one team when Walker is back… but gee’s he’s looking good.
3) T Walsh (Fwd $113k) The Irishman who defected to Syd from the Saints was the talk of the town in the pre-season, only to be undone by some very average performances in the NABy. It took till round 8 for Tommy to get his first run, and in part due to Goodesy being out, but the key position forward looked good with 14 disposals, 6 marks, 4 tackles and a couple of goals to snare the big fella 84 points. It’s hard for young big-men to be consistent, but let’s see how he rolls next week.
4) S Darley (Def 113k) Darley was in my team during the pre-season, only not to get named requiring a reshuffle in my team. Well he’s had his first run with 19 Disposals delivering 82 points. He made the U18 All Australian team in 2010, but just like Tommy Walsh, lets see how he goes next week.
5) A Sexton (Mid/Fwd 106k) Another speculation by the BS. He looked great in the pre season, but had the green vest this week (like Zorko last week) and only scored 13, so we should keep a keen eye on him.

Zorko this week & Darley next week will be very tempting.
Sexton will no doubt pump out a 80+ score this weekend to put his name up in lights. However if he does not make his 3rd game until Round 12 he will be an extremely popular downgrade. Just need him to miss one of Rnd 9 or 10.

I just realised that Sexton is GC (week 13 bye), not GWS (week 11 bye).
Therefore, Sexton could be a decent downgrade for a GWS rookie or Hall (GWS). Do any Gold Coast fans have any inside knowledge on his JS?
