Game Chat – St Kilda vs Adelaide

Written by Huttabito on April 7 2018

WHERE AND WHEN: Etihad Stadium, Saturday, April 7, 7.25PM AEST

SUMMARY
St Kilda will be desperate to bounce back after a terrible loss to North Melbourne, when the Saints struggled to win contested football or hit targets by foot. Those two areas will be important against one of the best teams in the competition in Adelaide. The Crows typically have a very strong onball division with Rory Sloane and Matt Crouch leading the way, but Crouch won’t be available after suffering a left hamstring strain last week. They are also very slick with the football, so Alan Richardson’s side will need to bring the pressure game it can usually be relied upon to deliver. St Kilda’s midfielders, led by Jack Steven and Seb Ross, will need to be at their best, while young guns such as Jack Billings, Blake Acres and Jade Gresham need to show they can consistently contribute at a high level.

  4. I’ve just flown in to Jogjakarta in Java with the family for a cultural experience. Went for a quick walk around the corner for a look around and found myself a sports bar with the crows match on.
    Winning!
    The temples can wait.

  7. Am I wrong in thinking that Jacobs score seems low? 20 touches (13 kicks) @ 75% with 12 being contested. 4 frees for 2 against 4 marks a tackle and 1 behind. Along with a casual 37 hitouts. Now I’m probably bias because I had him but that seems a bit better than an 82 point game to me.

    1. I’m guessing it comes down to his ‘hitouts to advantage’ (only 6 of his 37 hitouts were H2A).

      This compares to 11 and 13 H2A for R1 & R2 respectively.
