Motts Movers R13 – The Forwards

by Motts on July 1, 2010

B Harvey ($468,300 $+49,800 ($-31,000), 96.00) – Boomer’s back, baby!

D Giansiracusa ($434,400  $+21,100 ($-15,700), 90.80) – Last 2 rounds: 131, 132.

M Jaensch ($207,000 $+64,400 ($+123,600), 72.75) – Last 2 rounds: 104 & 95.

P Davis ($266,200   $+10,700 ($+166,000),  61.56) – Still pretty cheap and has played every round since R4. Has busted out a couple of high 80s. D/F DPP.

And from the What The Hell Has Happened To? File

Matthew Pavlich ($503,800   $-25,200 ($-25,100), 107.54) – getting steadily worse over the last 4 rounds (99, 97, 95, 81) after only missing the ton once between Rounds 1 & 9. Look for him to go bananas against Port at home this week.

Leon Davis ($319,700 $-15,000 ($-272,000), 67.83) – Scored a ton a month ago when Bobcat bet me $5 he would (thanks for that, Neon). Other than that he’s pretty much gone unsighted.

Jared Brennan ($330,900   $-19,800 ($-143,900), 75.44) – 125, 97, 122 to start the season and then nothing over 67 since. WTF?

Anyone got anything to add?

I was wondering what everyone’s thoughts on Pav were, looking at him as a replacement for J Brown… he’ll bounce back right?

Wait one more week Stevo, because Pav will plummett in price this week, unless he scores 160+. And yes, he will bounce back, but his numbers aren’t that bad at the moment…

I disagree. As I said, I reckon he’ll go berserk this week so yes, you may pay a little more for him (“plummett” was probably too strong a word to use, Cam. Its not out of the realms of reality that he’ll hit his 140 BE this week) but chances are he’s going to deliver you a good 100+ score.

So it comes down to: do you need him in your forwardliine to win your match-up this week?

Hmm point taken, its just a matter of if Stevo needs him this week, as you say, and if he doesnt have cover. If Stevo doesn’t have cover, then he should do it, and not worry about his value, more so his points scoring ability. If he does have cover, then I think he COULD wait one more week and pick him up super cheap, unless he does have a massiv game this weekend.

You have a problem if you need to bench Didak or ROK. Is this is your midfield? Change one to your f/l and play them all. Players like ROK and Didak should only be on your bench if injured/suspended.

I’ll take the wrap for Pav. Brought him the week he scored 99 and hasn’t performed since. Sorry to all that have him.
