C Newman ($516,800 $+30,400 ($-8,000), 96.86) – The Tigers are back and its no surprise that their captain is performing like the SC machine he’s been in year’s past. Last 3 round average: 124.33.
J Kelly ($517,200 $+30,200 ($+43,400), 97.54) – Made the front cover of The Record last week he’s playing so well right now. Last 3 round average: 124.33.
P Duffield ($438,400 $+2,600 ($-79,100), 93.93) – Good average for that price and can score large. Shouldering more of the load down back at the Dockers with blokes like Tarrant, Grover, Broughton and McPharlin out and appears to be on his way back but will probably drop a 60 this week just to make me look like a moron.

More a bit of fun than anything:
Lewis Roberts-Thompson ($367,900 $+31,900 ($-3,400), 74.71) – Consecutive tons to this perennial Sydney favourite have caught even his ardent followers by surprise. With Grundy now taking the opposition’s main forward and Malceski copping a forward tag, LRT has been given licence to roam, glide and stumble where he pleases. He even drifted forward last week to kick a behind. Is there room this year for another Kepler?

Pissing myself. Actually did have a look at LRT for this week’s edition but thought I’d let him score one more ton before annointing him.

Brain ‘Brake’ Lake, ($541,300, $+26,600 ($+48,800), 109.73) Has gone nuts in his last two games with 156 and 162, is one of the best backmen in the business and can also play in the forward line if needed. The only downside is his price if you have some spare cash and are to at upgrading of your defenders, Lake is the man and the doggies have a fairly easy run home.

Looking to trade someone out of my midfield for money but I don’t know who. Do you think martin has reached his peak? My Midfield is GAJ, Selwood, Cooney, ROK, Mitchell, Judd (Martin, Jetta) thinking of these trades
Martin/ROK > Blair
Then maybe Hall> Chapman
What does everyone else think?? I have 7 trades left and about 120k bank

I’m in a similar situation but so far have avoided trading out Martin, as he is scoring decent numbers and just could be the difference in winning a final should there be a late Midfield out. I’m keeping him.

Yeah I wanna keep him but its a lot of money to put on the bench.

Is now a good time to upgrade Beau Waters and or Kennelly? I have 2 easy beats coming up and am sitting pretty on top of the ladder at 10-1 with 8 trades left. Not desperate to trade, just thought it’s a good time to get Lake (BE=13) and I’m thinking Waters has peaked.

Yep, I like the ironic Waters -> Lake trade. Would do it myself if I had the trades to burn.

Just heard Lake didn’t train yesterday due to an upset stomach. Unsure whether he’ll play given the heat in Darwin. Damn it!

Please tell me you didn’t trade before knowing the teams….

No I didn’t – I put him in today! I figure he’s worth the punt and his price will rise even further if he does play, and I have good cover with Sheppard if he doesn’t so it’s all good either way.

Want to get Lake in this week to add to my 4 premium defenders (goddard, hodge, enright, malceski). Thinking of trading out 1 of waters, hunt, webberly or farmer …. most probably Josh Hunt

ROK, Higgins, Goodes…… Goodes has been killing me since I got him for the “bargin” price of 500k (last week was my first decent score)…. perhaps even take Higgins first if he is really over his ankle… starting to come good by the looks.

1. Higgins if he fit will score 100 a week
2 ROK will score higher and lower
3. Goodes has been very up and down, but if he can regularly get back to his best would be #1

ROK
Higgins
Goodes
But none can be trusted!
Im one of the lucky ones who has had Goodes since day 1 for a bargain basement price of just a little over $600,000. Not exactly money well spent

Yeah, me too Professor
Hopefully roosey will leave him in the midfield for the rest of the season after last weeks effort and it will pay off for us when it counts!

RTTP, you poor bastard, but that’s the reason I thought I was getting a bargin at 500k. I would have been better off with a rookie, I could have had J Pod. I just hope he maintains last weeks form and wins some respect back.

Some poor decisions were made at the beginning of my season. My must haves for the season were Goddard, Gablett, Reiwoldt, and Goodes. At least Goddard has done his job consistently!

TDL came with some pretty big wraps on him pre-season. I just wonder if he’ll keep his spot once Bradshaw comes back in.
