  2. 2435 / Pendles (chose not to use GAJ’s 116 VC score)
Goldstein, Swan, Selwood for the 150+ scores
12 raised the bat for their ton.
    7 in 90’s.

5 from 5 league wins so happy, but still need a win next week in most leagues. My / SCT cash league is going to come down to the wire for me ref getting into the top 8 or 9-12 for top 4 of nuffy GF. It has been a very tough league, but I look forward to a rerun next season if people are keen. In with a chance for top 4 & double chance in LoEC1, however got a tough game next week to seal the deal.

  3. Who’s sick of all the media attention on the Essendon saga? Get the f&*% over it. Wait till it’s done and then focus on it!

very happy, had to play Rowe and T.Lee so expected a slightly lower than average score. Also had to cop Nicholls injury-hit score of 36.

  5. 2/5. Not great result, but given the carnage to my team over the last two weeks, that’s a miracle.

5/5 league wins & overall pretty happy with the AFL week-end!

I’m annoyed with myself for stuffing up the loophole with GAJ/SWAN (as per my comments in the Captain’s poll on Friday) I forgot to change it Saturday morning due to being busy with work, oh well live & learn & moving on! Pendles, Cox, Goddard & sorry Staker sub-standard this round….. Ibbotson come on son, at home WTF? Maric….you might even be replaced with Goldstein.

    Go Hawks!

Bet of the year by 6 points. Hard to complain but there were some let downs today with JPK, JJK and Staker.

Hope to improve on 82 ranking.

Very happy with my score considering I had Bartel, Danger,Hanley,Nic Nat on my bench……
Very disappointed with JPK…Have a week off next week…Rest the body in time for sc finals…..( please dont t/d im messi ng around )

Bad day at the office. N Roo getting that injury on debut for me did me no favours, hopefully he can pull up next week. Pendles did me no favours as captain, Nicholls, Tom Lee, JJK, JPK and Staker not providing for me this week. Oh well, onwards.

Few under performers but can’t complain much. I think it’s my highest score in my two year supercoach career so that’s always a good thing 🙂 hopefully I can move up from my rank of 1106 and back into the top 1000.

Such an average weekend. Only six players cracked the ton. So many players stuck in that 70-90 bracket, too many players short of their best. They won’t disappoint two weeks in a row. Expecting big score next week and will sneak into finals in main league…….

  12. 2165/Pendlebury 1/5 League Wins.

If Only Scenario: 2271/Swan 4/5 League Wins. (Swan Captain instead of Pendlebury, Deledio off for Tom Mitchell, Staker into the Forward line instead of Lamb to bring Webster’s E score into play via X Richards.)

My only trade this week was Goodes – McKenzie, which turned out well enough. My mistakes and poor scores from Nicholls, Deledio and Maric nailled my coffin closed.

Had Hanley, Bartel and Nic Nat on the bench. Used Lamb up forward, Staker down back and Nicholls in the ruck.

Severely regretting my decision to ditch Leuenberger and bring Nic Nat in, as well as my decision to go Maric over Kreuzer. Those two – and Paul Duffield, look like they’re the trinity of terrible mid-season signings.

The usual suspects gave my score something: Swan, Selwood, Martin. Franklin was good on return too.

  13. 2281 / Pendles (not taking GAJ VC and stupidly moving the C from Swan!)

Pendles choice cost me my main league … so not happy at all. For that, he moves to “fails me miserably”, along with Staker.

FAIL – Nicholls (can’t be helped), Goddard, Gibbs, Kennedy, Cox, Priddis … the Weagles are a big worry … they’ve given up and lack heart.
PASS – Ablett, Buddy, Shaw, Dusty, Cotchin
GRADUATE with Honours – Harvey, Wilson (great effort by the rookie!), Mitchell, Fyfe.
OUTSTANDING – Swan, Joelwood, Gaaaawwwwnnn (filling in for NicNat!)

    Onto next week!! Cheers all!!

Like many others, I struggled with the captains choice after GAJ’s score. In hindsight, Swan would have been a great choice.

  15. Why is percentage the tiebreaker in the leagues? I can’t influence how many points my opponents score, so why should the fact that I beat the worst team in the league when they had their best week of the season matter?

There are five of us going for one playoff spot, and I’ve outscored the others by 100, 600, 900 and 1100 points this season (points for). But I’m 11th on percentage, because my points against is 900 points higher than the rest of them.

That’s just pure luck of the draw (I ran into three teams during the byes that weren’t taking a loss that week, the bottom of the ladder team had a ridiculously good week when they played me, etc).

If I’ve proven I can win as many games as them and I’ve proven I can score more points over the season than them, why does points against (which I’m entirely unable to influence; it’s pure luck) get taken into account (in the form of percentage, the tiebreaker)?

  16. 2219 brings a victory against Eagling in LoEC, as well as a Top 8 finish. Last ditch effort for a top 4 awaits, but it might just be out of my grasp…By the way, what the hells going on with Ibbo, failed to crack 60 in the last 2 weeks!!!

Terrible week, switched the VC to Pendles last minute when i had it on StevieJ, had A Black on the bench and didnt use the loophole with Dwyer. then Black score about 40 points in the last 5 minutes of the game.
Copped Swallows injury and last 4 weeks of cr@p scores when could have taken Swan when he was cheaper.
And to top it all off, lost to Motts in SCT1 league 🙁

I switched from Swan to Pendles last minute. It still stings but managed wins all around which was a suprise. Riding some injuries giving me a donut down back. I held Birchill, have Thurlow, then Goodes and Hanley go down. Hoping for one of Hanley or Birchill to be back in the 2 of the 2-4 weeks that there injury timeline suggests. Both would be great. Neither means a trade come first week of finals.
