soooo peed off – brought in Lamicchane last round to have the numberf available for this round double game – now he is out ‘rested’ or injured maybe … struggling to get 11 on field now as well … as are many it seems??
Lamischhane is nursing a wrist injury and is expected back for the Derby in a couple of days.
In better news from the pictures I have seen of the sky taken at the ground there is no smoke haze so the game should go the full 40 overs.
yeah mate, saw that on the news last night … but looking at Stars website today, it says he’s ‘rested’ … i should have burnt the extra $11K last match for Steyn instead … oh well, just cant make any reliable plans in this format it seems …
it is a very frustrating format I’m finding … very fickle with hit or miss scores on players, very limited reserves makes it hard with the way the byes / double games are loaded … I can see why I have never bothered before!! … still, will try to stick it out for the season and manage the team as best I can!
I’m with you macca, this is my second go after a 3 year spell. Can’t buy a captain score abd tonight have vc on hanscomb who may not get a hit. Big deal that he has 2 games this round when one is a 0.
So you were stiff macca , did the right thing bringing in lamischane and it didnt work. So was i stiff , bought in hanscomb, in aus squad , quality player that plays whole game for 2 points. At least in afl sc if one of your stars has a shit game they still score some points.
It is a game that grows on you Macca as your 1st year you have teething problems. I finished 131 overall last year and I am currently 172 overall after finishing 800 odd in my first year making plenty of mistakes.
Hearing Cartwright has been withdrawn from the Stars squad so don’t bring him in.

Haris Rauf was huge and a good trade in for some with a 3fa and 108pts. Rauf already had a BE of -127 so will make around 70k and still have a negative BE.
Rauf scored more in todays game than the player I traded out for him did in 5 games – Stanlake. Rauf a great POD too with only 13 Per Cent ownership.
Who else is good trade in targets for this round lads?
i wanted to take him, but was not assured he would get a second game in the next match … if he does I will be spitting … took Steyn instead, which is yet another massive flop ….
Not having the ability to have gold, or easily work out what a player can make, is very limiting in this format as well … in AFL you would take that negative BE any day ,… the cash changes here though are not as clear cut or able to be determined … so it may bite me yet again …
So here we go again vc on hanscomb , probably wonr score a point the way things are going , flogging a dead horse but have stuffed up every captains pick this year.
So vc stuffed , putting c on finch ,he is in line for a golden duck the way I’m going.
