Here at SCT we’ve run 4 different types of leagues this year:
2 x Leagues of Extraordinary Coaches (LoEC) which is made up of the those coaches with the best averages from the year before,
3 x Chick’s Leagues made up solely of women – administered by my lovely partner, Richo (yes her team is travelling better than mine),
5 x SCT Technical Leagues (SCTTL) where the site voted on a team at the beginning of the year and each participant started with that team, and
7 x SCT Leagues made up of coaches who want to coach against other coaches of a similar standard.
If you’re interested in being a part of any of these leagues in 2013, save a screen shot of your final results in 2012 and start dropping past the site again in February next year when we start organising them for the year.

Yeah good stuff Motts. I’ve crapped it in, in my private league this year. Would love to be up against some stiffer competition! Just out of curiosity.. Do you know what this years LoEC average was?

In LoEC1 it was 2,115 (ranked 56th)
In LoEC2 it was 2,093 (ranked 168th)

On your LoEC question, its hard to say until I see all the applications but to give you an indication, the top 8 in both leagues are all over 2,115.

Just to give that some further context, at the moment that top 8 in LoEC1 are averaging between 2216 and 2128

That average would currently have you sitting 3rd on the overall points ladder (LoEC1), so I’d say you would be a strong contender to at least make one of the 2 LoEC 2013 leagues

And a further addition this year was that you had to be someone who contributes to the greater SCT family by making posts, adding your thoughts, etc…

Absolutely Hawk. Whether you make the LoEC leagues will depend on the quality of applicants we get but certainly we’ll fit you into one of the SCT leagues.

Loved the idea of the LoEC’s leagues, Motts, great competition.

This is a great concept and with quite a healthy average this year, I’d be very interested in joining a SCT league in ’13.

Hey guys, I’m real interested in making the Legendary Coaches league. I averaged 2156 last year but my team capitulated in last few rounds. Still a healthy average though. This year I’m looking forward to going top 500. Will my average qualify for any of the leagues?
