Whether you do or you don’t it’s one of the many punts you need to take with supercoach. I had him in but changed my mind, surely he’ll drop in price (oh crap I’ve said it now!)

At first I constructed a team without him – and a pretty good team at that. But the sleepless nights that ensued (yes, I too take this way too seriously) were enough to start all over and make him my first pick. The sigh of relief to see his name there could have dried a wet towel. This game can be stressful enough as it is, don’t care if I lose $100,000 for it – the cash-cows on offer this year can make that up in a quarter of footy.

A question for those who are not going with Ablett.
If you are not choosing GAJ because you think his value will come down (which I agree with), how much do you think it will come down? 50k, 100k, 150k?
Then follows the next question. Who will you trade to bring him in? I’d imagine you wouldn’t have Swan or Montagna either (as their prices could, and probably will drop also), so might be waiting for Cooney or like to increase in value and dump at their peak.
This all sounds risky to me, if you are planning to eventually bring GAJ into your team, just to save 50-150k.

his price is based on him averaging around 160.
If he can’t do that in the 1st 3 weeks & “only” gets 130, he will drop around 40k

150 not 160. If he gets 130 over the first three rounds he drops $25k that week and another 20k the next week if he scores another 130. In this scenario he bottoms out at about 660 in week 8.
