  1. Hopefully if all goes to plan ill be able to get:
    – Greene IN this week
    – Gawn IN next week
    – Jelwood (M9) IN the following week

  2. Regretting choosing Lynch over Greene 2 weeks ago. Regretting persevering with H Shaw – if he can’t get up for his 250th game, is he going to at all this season?

    19

    2
    1. Shaw to Lloyd this week i recon, held off last week hoping he would fire on his 250 but yeah i think he has made the decision for us. Leaves Newman for me as coverage with adams and Lloyd able to swing to the mid.

  3. I’d like to trade my whole team.
For maybe a Masters or Dick Smith voucher.
    Email me at MyTeamsCrap.com

T/U chin up, you’ll bounce back.
    T/D take the vouchers.

        1. Oh yeah. Oops. I’d make some excuse about it having been a long day or something, but in reality, I have no excuse for that one!

    1. Can’t go past Dusty. My modus operandi for midfielders this season has been if a player is in top 5 Brownlow contention throughout the whole season (or past 2-3 seasons) consider them an essential part of the side. Having said this Neale deserves to be in that conversation but doesn’t seem to get as much recognition.

  4. Considering pulling the trigger on Gawn a week early as he will go huge against Sydney and ultimately this game is about points not money.

TU: Do it it will be worth it.
TD: You’re crazy wait a week extra 35k drop is worth it.

  5. 2 trades this week leaves me with 5 after this week,
    Fisher – – – > Deluca (max cash)
2nd trade unsure on the best option
I am going to bring in Neale or Pendles but I am unsure if I chop Barrett or Beams.

I am 1 spot off full premium but Beams is now out for the season

    TU Beams is gone
    TD Barrett is gone

  6. It’s one step forward two steps back every week…

Stewart and Barrett have to go this week…. Or is it Fyfe and Nank… Tom Lynch and JJ… Can I start my team again?

    10

    2
  7. Probably gonna pull the trigger this week

Barrett > Witherden which gives me 450k for upgrades.
Obviously a week early, but the DEF/MID DPP is perfect.

Greenwood at F6 doesn’t seem like an issue at the moment and have Parsons at F7 – but low BE so will probably hold for now

What are people thoughts on Heeney at 530k?

    22

    1. I wasn’t sold by the hype and Heeney’s always been a player I never liked (hence made emotional decisions re:Supercoach), but even I must admit he looks the goods. Swans actually rely on him and feed him the ball in big moments too

      2

  8. Trying to avoid the urge to fight spot fires and rage trade. Theoretically at the moment Nank & Lynch stay for the F6/F7 loop. Given that SSelwood still has at least another week to get his BE down going to pull the trigger and upgrade him. Using Stewart for cash.

TU: Spend big, Martin, Merrett, Titch
TD: Go value, Sloane, Rock and hope. Use extra $ elsewhere

    14

    10
    1. You just know he’s going to score consecutive 160s as soon as you trade him out. Still, I too have considered cutting my losses with him.

  9. While my plans over the last few weeks have all changed a lot, this week I expect it will be hard for these to not happen, barring something really odd. (Possible of course)

Barrett out for Lloyd, who plays in the mids for now, still good value.
Stewart out for Witherden, who is the badly needed Def/Mid to allow Lloyd to cover the backline.

Would leave me with links from mids to both front and back to cover injuries. If those links lose their on field jobs they will still be useful to me.

That leaves me with eight trades and $387,400 to address the following weakest spots starting next week.
D6 = Newman, so no rush. If anyone goes down Lloyd swings back.
    M8 = Scooter/SPP – Will want to fix promptly.
R2 = Witts – Will be Gawn soon
F5 = Nankervis – Want to keep him as F7/R3.
F6 = Greenwood – Wondering how he does over the next two while I wait for his price to rise. Would be great if he needed no replacement. Should go up at least $70,000+ over the next two.
F7 = Parsons – Well, if I keep Nank I should turn him into a premium to be F5 so Nank can go to F7/R3. His upcoming price rises will help. Another good score would really help. Backs up the Rucks via Nank.

Odds are R16 is Witts to Gawn and SPP to a premium mid. Zack M. being the current favorite, but I won’t think much about that until after R15 is done.

Really hoping for a few quiet weeks as/once I make my needed upgrades. Will have a few trade for injuries and such, but would be nice to not have to use them right away. Ha ha….

    3

    1. Would you consider pulling trigger early on Witts – Gawn trade to get extra points?
Whilst Gawn has a high BE and will go down in price after this round, Witts is up against Goldy and will probably fail to get his BE and drop in value also which somewhat offsets the saving you are making on Gawn.

      2

      2
      1. For me no, because I have things to do before I get Gawn in, so not only would I be paying more for Gawn, I’d be paying more for Lloyd. I don’t think the points difference between Gawn and Witts is a enough more than the difference between Lloyd and SPP/Scooter to pay that much more. It makes much more sense to bring in Lloyd now before his price goes up more, which it will, and then bring in Gawn after his price goes down again. Also, Barrett is going to drop in price hard, almost certainly more than Witts will. Very expensive for me to do Gawn early, for not a lot of return.

For someone else, it is worth thinking about. Depends on the exact situation.

        2

        0
      2. Both will fall in value (you may lose $10k to $20k max) but Gawn will be worth the extra points and a great VC option. I’m doing the same trade.

        1

        1
    2. Get rid of Nank, last 4 games under 85. In the back half of the season you want the best players on the field not duds. You shouldn’t need a R3 at this point of the season. If your team is not kicking ass at this point you haven’t been taking enough risks early.

      0

      3
      1. Upgrading Barrett is more important than replacing Nank right now

Why upgrade Nank and use Parsons as backup when I could upgrade Parsons and keep Nank as backup?

        5

        0
  10. Sadly Stewart has to go this week. I already have Doc, Laird, Adams, Rance and Lloyd, I think it will be Hurley, Roberton or Harbrow for the final spot.

I’d also like to go Parsons to Gawn next week, so I might have to go early on Witherden this week just to raise the cash for that upgrade.

  11. Im not 100% regretting bringing in tom lynch over macrae for sandy in rd12 as the extra cash allowed me to bring in doch…..but im getting pretty close.
Ive got 7 trades left and only rookie on field is greenwood, was planning to upgrade tom stewart to gawn next week for complete team and 6 trades but this complete team includes nank and lynch in forward line and no macrae.
Really tempted to go lynch to macrae this week but that means I need two trades for stewart to gawn (or i could just go nank to gawn).

    2

    1
  12. What to do with Tom Lynch? He’ll probably get a few more big scores but consistency and team morale is hurting.

    TU: Keep
    TD: Move on

    19

    14
  13. Trade Beams to? (If out for a long period)

T/U Neale, will require 2 trades.
T/D Rocky just the 1 trade.

    5

    18
  14. Lynch > Yeo
    Barrett > Rookie

    Then
    Marchbank > Adams
    SPP > Rookie

    Then
    Parsons > Gawn

Team done, will have 5/6 trades left.

    11

    0
  15. Might be no trades again this week.

Newman stays at D6 until he gives me reason not to. Just going to have the ride the Lynch/Nank train until I can move greenwood forward and upgrade him to Greene/Heeney then start loopholing the F6 position off.

Gawn still has a big BE after slowing down in the back half of the game so can wait another week on him too. Especially with Parsons putting up an 82 points dropping his BE!

  16. Bought in T.Lynch 2 weeks ago for 2 scores of 30 odd.
Becoming an anchor already. 9 trades left

T/U – Keep him & hope forms lifts
T/D – Toss him & get an actual premo F6

    14

    4
  17. To complete my backline:

    TU Adams
    TD Lloyd

Bank the $84,500 or go with the player with better slightly better average and ceiling?

    Thanks

    20

  18. Didn’t want to make any trades until finals with how little my trade numbers are, but injuries once again, like most of the time, have forced me to make one more.

    Beams -> Bontempelli

    9

  19. 9 trades left and have 282k in bank.
Defence is complete with Hibberd (Nth) – Yet to play a game and L Ryan on bench. A concern over Shaw though.
Mids are almost there with S Selwood and SPP as M8 and M9 with S Bolton, D Lloyd and J Cousins on bench.
Ruck is complete with Ryder on bench.
Fwd almost there however a concern of J Steele and T Lynch (GC) along with H Greenwood as my F6. Bench has Parsons and Hannan on bench.

Do i trade SPP or SSelwood to full Premo this week or do i upgrade Hannan or Parsons? Or do i look to change Shaw, Steele or Lynch or do a double trade of the above?

    0

    1
    1. Who are your primary Rucks if you have Ryder sitting on the bench?

I would suggest opening up a DPP link between your Rucks & Forwards and shifting Ryder into your FWD line. This can be done by offloading Hannan and picking up Strnadica and putting Strnadica at R3 and Ryder at F4. Then if Steele is not named this week I would look to upgrade him to one of Yeo/Macrae/Dahl/Heeney/Greene/Billings depending on your preference. You would then have Ryder at F5 and you can loophole Lynch/Greenwood at F6/7.

Then next week, with the 400k+ remaining in your bank you could upgrade both Scooter & SPP to Neale & Bont for example (if you don’t have them) to complete your team.

Good luck for the rest of the season!

      1

      1. Goldy as R1 and Martin as R2.

I’m not moving Ryder or switching for Strenadica as i dont see it as viable and donuts arent what i want.

I’m wondering if holding Hannan and Parsons is appropriate as they are giving good $ whereas players like Shaw and Lynch and Fyfe and Steele albeit Fyfe and Steele didnt play last 2 rounds are losing $$.

I have Dahl, Macrae, Heeney in Fwd. Bont is in my Mid. My team is actually pretty strong just needs a few additions.

  20. Thank God Thursday night games are over and done with, while I do enjoy watching from a spectator pov they are a nightmare SC wise. Hopefully have GAJ, Fyfe, Kelly and welcome to the team T.Greene . This should bolster the side a little bit. Au revoir Hannen and Stewart , you’ve both been really serviceable.
Still 10 trades left and starting to get a kitty together for the luxury trades later nearing the finals.

    5

    1
  21. 8 trades left and thinking of flicking Shaw for Adams. Waiting for Gawn next week but otherwise my team is done.

    TU: Do it!
    TD: Save the trade

    17

  22. Get Docherty in this week or pray to the SC gods for his price to come down;

    T/U: Get him in
T/D: Pray for price to go down

    17

  23. Not much cash , 6k and 10 trades so thinking

Fyfe and scharenberg to witherden (mid) and t Adams (in the backline I could boot perryman)

I can then field scooter as M8

And am full premo, I have nank/lunch which will.need to be traded

I could also do dpp and swing Perry to mid and trade fyfe/scooter and maybe Myers .

    T/u do it
    T/d no

    5
  24. What chance that Callum Brown holds his spot for this week?

T / up Yes, he did enough
T / down No, Mayne or Cox or Elliot or Varcoe or Wells will take his place

    0

    15
  25. Is anyone considering JJ?

Down $156K from his initial price, averaging 82.3 – but with a couple of shockers (68 + 21 + 58) throughout the season when tagged.

T / up Yes, great value
t / down Don’t do it – go for someone $150k more like Roberton

    0

    20
      1. JJ clearly doesn’t like the rough stuff(same deal unfortunately for Sloane) , both are pivotal to their team’s performance and until they get that sorted not worth considering.

  26. Bringing in my final mid this week, to complete my team.

Current mids are Danger, Sloane, Bont, Pendles, JPK, Jelwood and Treloar.

    TU: Titch
    TD: Zerrett
    Comment: Neale

    7

    16
  27. Stewart -> Rance
    Beams -> Witherden

Build up cash to go next week:

    Berry -> Neale

To complete full premo team & have 5 trades left for injuries & Gawn upgrade…

T/U YES – go ahead sounds good
T/D NO – not enough trades left for injuries

    14

  28. M Gawn:
    2016 MCG Avg: 106.33 from 12 (low of 49 and a high of 168, 5/12 below 100, 2/12 120+)
    2016 MCG Night Avg: 160 from 1
    2016 MCG Wins Avg: 125.83 from 6 (low of 95 and a high of 168, 1/6 below 100, 2/6 120+, 2/6 160+)
    2016 Night Avg: 156.5 from 4 (low of 141 and a high of 174, 4/4 120+, 3/4 150+, 2/4 160+)
    2016 Avg in Wins: 128.4 from 10 (low of 63 and a high of 174, 2/10 below 100, 5/10 120+, 4/10 150+, 3/10 160+)

  29. If you’re bored and looking for something to do, let me know your thoughts on this team.

Defenders: Docherty, Adams, Laird, Z. Williams, Lloyd, JoJo Bench: Scharenberg, Ryan
Midfield: Danger, Sloane, Oliver, JPK, Hannebery, Treloar, Fyfe, Greenwood Bench: SPP, Mountford, Mit. Hibberd
    Rucks: Martin, Grundy Bench: Strnadica
Forwards: Yeo, Macrae, Dahlhaus, Franklin, Nank, Greene Bench: Parsons, Bolton

Have 7 trades left and thinking of moving SPP to Witherden which will give 390K, leaving me enough money to get anyone really. Any thoughts out there?

    4

    0
    1. You’ll definitely need an extra MID premo, which would then make Greenwood your M9/F7 DPP swingman.
So you could go SPP to Witherden, then shift Witherden to DEF and trade Scharenberg to a MID premo under 590K (eg. Neale/Bont/Hanners/Sloane/Rocky). You would then have DPP coverage on all lines and you can loophole JJ & Witherden at D6/D7.

      Hope this helps!

      2

    1. If you’re strapped for cash as I am, Stewart to Birchall should cost you less than 50K next week. I’m strongly considering it.

      2

      0
      1. Yeah, thinking the same thing. Could get from Stewart to Birchall with one trade next week. Would need another downgrade if I want to do it this week though

        1

        0
  30. Not sure how to play my trades this week. My team is full premo and I have 7 trades left. I was hoping to go this week without trading but concerned by 2 players long term, Fyfe and Nank.

I would need cash so am thinking Berry to Witherden. This would allow me enough cash to go Fyfe to Bont this week & Nank to Gawn next week. and leave me 60-90k for future trades.

    T/U: solid plan
T/D: complete waste of trades (only leaves me 4 for the remainder of the season)

    3

    11
  31. Hoping to not do any trades this week, but if I do, as my forward line needs improving, I need to trade out either J Stewart or Parsons, both of which still have money to be made.
Will be trading in either Heeney / Macrae/ Greene.

TU : Trade out J Stewart
    TD: Trade out Parsons

    6

    0
  32. I only have 6 trades left after Trading out Paparone in D6, and I have all 4 high risk Mid players players in Sloane, Fyfe, Abblett and Rocky (I added Sloane as he consistently becomes sub 80 when tagged and it seems like every coach thinks this is the formula to beat the crows)
I thought my team was complete but I am beginning to think they are not Premium anymore. Should I start:

TU bring in Dusty, Z Merrett , D Shield
TD Hold on until the finals their form may turn.

    Comment if you can

    1. Too early to be luxury trading with only 6 trades left. You could come unstuck big time. I reckon you should keep your finger off the button for the next few weeks

      2

      0
  33. Still feel like rage trading Shaw – I have 10 trades remaining and a complete team, other than bringing in Gawn next week. My other Def are DOC, Adams, Laird, Lloyd & Hibberd.

TU – Do it – will bring in either Howe or Harbrow
TD – Do it to feel better then reverse and keep that trade (can always park him on the bench and field Ryan)

    4

    13
  34. TU: Fisher > Witherden and Parsons > Gawn next week
TD: Do both this week and take the 40k price hit from Gawn.

    7

    1
  35. After reading the write-ups on Witherden on here, I am going early on him for Barrett.
Also trading Brown in for Myers to get DPP in mids/Fwds. His JS not a big concern, as he’ll help loopholing if he doesn’t play.
Would want Fyfe back and hoping Jelwood plays.
$578k in the bank for Lynch to Yeo, Priddis to Merrett and Nank to Gawn. We’ll see how things go this week, as I’m down to 7 trades after this week.

    1

  36. Have to trade out T.Stewart this week regrettably for final defensive upgrade.

    TU: Rance

    TD: Hibberd
