  1. Much of of muchness, but Butters for

    TU: Mills.
    TD: Laird.

$ isn’t an issue. Looking for the most points for the run home.

    20

    40
      1. Yeah, Laird a disgustingly easy run:

        North (A), Dees (H), Hawks (A), Pies (H), Swans (A), Blues (H), Eagles (A), North (H), Port (H).

        3

        1
  2. G. Clark > Def/Mid Rook to allow Daicos to cover D7 and M9
    Butters > Bont
    B Crouch > Mills/Laird

Last Boost used – 8 trades left

    Team
DEF: Stewart, Sinclair, Hewett, Dawson, Short, Crisp
MID: Macrae, Miller, Oliver, Neal, Cripps, Green, Brayshaw, Mills/Laird
    RUC: Witts, English
FWD: Parker, Dunkley, Cogs, Brodie, Cameron, Bont

  3. And say hello to the next ‘never again’ member … Zac Butters!

    T/U Libba
    T/D Heeney

Already have English (Ruck), Bont, Brodie, Cogs, Parker and Dunkley. Cheers

  4. Thinking using last trade boost.

Lloyd > Stewart (Both will decrease in cost this week anyway, Lloyd is liability)
    Butters > Oliver
Clark/Rioli > Parnell (Swing Skinner FWD)

Completed team with 6 trades left, will probably try and go for Steele when he bottoms out.

    3

    6
  5. Trade Out; Sam Dekoning, Max Gawn, Zak Butters

Trade In; Sam Docherty; Jarrod Witts, Patrick Parnell (via DPP)

    Last boost used, 8 trades remaining. $177,300 ITB after trades. Team still not finished, but will be as follows;

DEF; Sicily, Stewart, Sinclair, Hewett, Docherty, Short (Parnell, D’Ambrosio).
MID; Oliver, Neale, Laird, Macrae, Miller, Cripps, Coniglio, Daicos (Clark, Stephens, Owens).
    RUC; Witts, English (Preuss)
FWD; Dunkley, Brodie, Parker, Liberatore, Cameron, Clarke, (Rioli, Teakle).

If Preuss somehow gets up for next week, I’ll swing English forward via DPP with Teakle.

    1. Braydon Preuss : “Has been charged with Rough Conduct (Dangerous Tackle) against Tim English… In summary, the player can accept a one-match suspension with an early plea.”

      3

  6. Can’t afford Docherty went to the second option

    J,Llyod,B.Preuss,P.Mccartin > C.dANIEL,DAmbro,Bont

  7. Anyone thinking of trading Short? Or should I calm the farm?
    TU trade the muppet
    TD chill homie

    3

    59
  8. Are you guys/girls trading out Llyod?

TU: Yes not supercoach relevant anymore

    TD: No keeping him

    33

    4
    1. To paraphrase the Lord of the Rings:

The Age of Men [Lloyd] is over, the Time of the Orc [anyone else] has come!

      17

      2
  9. Braydon Preuss one match suspension will that be done if he has an injury and doesn’t play nextweek?

    2

    1
      1. Has copped a suspension and word is the ankle isn’t that bad, so could be back in R16.

Hold if you can cover seems logical.

If there’s a lot of action on him, I’ll get one up.

    1. left of centre here – but toby greene could be a decent pick. Not just bandwagoning after his 7 on the weekend (!!) but his scoring has been on the improve and consistent after the first couple of weeks he got back. Great POD too at 2%

      7

      1. Im actually contemplating this, seems to have got his normal role back too after mcveigh taking over as coach

As alternatives how are Hawkins and Duncan in comparison? Also looking at Goldy or Jackson to give some ruck coverage if needed. Including Greene I think these are the 5 im looking at

        3

        0
  10. TU: Butters and Gawn > Jackson and Goldstein
TD: Lloyd and Gawn > Jackson and Dawson

Goal would be for Jackson to earn enough to get me near enough to Grundy or Witts price in a few weeks.

Comment with any better ideas please haha

    2

    14
  11. My team is basically stuffed, I was going to struggle to get a full premo team and now butters is out too.

Thinking to go for a couple POD’s in the hope they do good and also bank some cash so I can get full premo.

I have 5 trades before this week.

    Butters, Hinge > Tex, Jackson

Walker has a super easy fixture to end the season and Jackson will hopefully do well with Gawn out.

    16

    1
    1. As a proud owner of Bont for the first time this week it was finally a treat to watch him stroll to a score of 120! Missed some gimmies too, so it could have easily been 140+ the way CD score him. Get him in.

      13

      0
  12. Who to get in for Preuss and Butters? (Fwd line is English/Bont/Dunk/Parker/Brodie)

    Tu: Goldstein & Cogs
    Td: Nank & Baker/Rozee

    14

    1
  13. Absolutely no idea! Snookered.

At this stage it will be SDK and Butters to Parnell and English. I hate it but there’s not many options

    4

    2
  14. TU: Docherty/Dawson & L Jackson meaning Jackson is last upgrade
TD: Parnell & Bont & $294k meaning Parnell is last upgrade

    6

    10
  15. McCartin > Whitfield
    Preuss > Heeney

This allows me to get Steele next week.
Yes I have been searching for value and I need to be conservative with trades so figured this is probably my best option. Thoughts appreciated!

    5

    2
  16. $280K ITB, 8 trades left, one FWD spot to get to full premo…. was the plan.
Then Butters’ injury came along so now I’m in a bit of trouble.
TU: Value path to full prem – leaves 6 trades
    Butters/MacDonald -> Heeney/Duncan (or something similar)
    TD: Go big and small
Butters -> Bont (saves a trade but has Macdonald/Clarke at D8 with only $175K ITB and unripe cows)
    Thanks experts!

    5

    3
  17. Butters and Preuss out is a given, with English to move from the forwards to rucks. But with 7 trades remaining after that and with the recent injury carnage, I’m unsure with what to do (especially while I’m trying to carry Gawn on the bench)

TU: Bont and a J.Clarke, leaving 7 trades and around $220k ITB, and having to play Rosas as F6.
TD: Bont, Jackson and a nuff, leaving 6 trades and $39k. Full premo.

    1

    12
    1. Lineup before trades:

DEF: Sicily, Sinclair, Stewart, Dawson, Hewett, Short (Wehr, D’Ambrosio)

MID: Oliver, Neale, Laird, Parish, Miller, Macrae, Cripps,Petracca (Rioli, Owens, Worner)

      RUCK: Darcy, Preuss (Gawn)

FWD: English, Bontempelli, Dunkley, Brodie, Coniglio, Treloar (Rosas, Teakle)

      1

      0
  18. Butters/SDK to Heeney/Duncan to finish team.

Don’t love it but that’s the state of things right now.

TU – yep, decent trades for run home
TD – nut, better options out there

    1

    9
  19. I have Butters but I think I’ll just sit on him for the week and have Clarke on field. There *may* be a chance that I can afford both Butters>English and Daicos>Stewart.

    7

    1
  20. 9 trades left 402k itb
TU: Butters & Preuss > Bont & Mills
TD: Butters > Bont (Hold Preuss use English cover but loop Rosas/Curtis F6)

    14

    2
  21. TU – Trade Lloyd to Darcy via DDP and field Daicos D6
TD – Keep Lloyd at D6 and play Butler/Curtis F6

Next week Daicos would become Stewart (TU option) or Darcy (TD option).

TU is preferred but will cost me 2 extra trades to get Stewart over Lloyd but also approx an extra 50-80 points this week having Darcy instead of rookie F6.

Would have 8 trades left after all this on TU option.
    10 trades on TD.

  22. Is Strnadica cooked for the season? I want to cover Preuss for the week and save my trades. Am one short of full premo and need to cover for more injury carnage

    1

    1. Yeah, Jamieson was decent over the weekend. He’ll stick around as 2nd banana with BJ until Nic Nat is back, I think.

      2

  23. I have 1 trade boost up my sleeve and 30k in the bank

Def-Sicily, Stewart, Short, Ridley, Lloyd and Whitfield (wher and Cleary)
Mid- Oliver, Neale, laird, miller, brayshaw, boak, petracca (Rioli, Hamilton and owens)
    Ruc- English and preuss (strondica)
Fwd- Dunkley, Brodie, butters, heeney, Moore and Clarke (teakle and long)

Butters obviously a must go, preuss maybe as well and will trade Rioli to another rookie

Comment what you think are my best trade options

    Thanks

    1

    2
  24. Thoughts on Zac Bailey as a cheap replacement for Butters? High ceiling and feel like Brissy are just hitting top gear

    7

    5
  25. 9 trades left I forward upgrade left for full premo but have Lloyd in defence so am thinking either..

TU: Lloyd/ Curtis> Bontempelli/ Strnatica Via DDP.. Skinner back D8/ Teakle forward bench

Wehr D6 until final Def upgrade

    TD: Lloyd/CStephens > Hewitt/ JClarke

Curtis F6 until final forward upgrade

    1

    1
  26. Last premium spot:

T/U: Is Himmelberg the real deal? Now with Haynes back, Himmelberg still played that SC friendly half-back role
T/D: Naah, look for other options (Heeney).

    Cheers everyone!

    8

    6
  27. Butters to (via DPP)

    TU: Brayshaw (Freo) this week
    TD: Steele next week

Already have Wines as potential sketchy M8. Steele 200 BE so can cover with P. McCartin this week. Can Steele be a top mid coming back from AC/shoulder injury?

    4

    11
  28. I have the luxury of having a full premo team (including Preuss and Butters), some extra cash laying around and a couple of cash cows ready to go…
TU- Focus on getting Butters out of my team and replace any other underperforming premo
TD- Trade S.Hayes at R3 for another premo ruck (Witts, Blicavs or Nank), leaving Preuss on the bench for when I need him (and actually plays!)

  29. What is you guys opinion on the best forward option below 530k?

    some players include:
    Luke Jackson
    Tex Walker
    Himmelberg
    J Cameron
    Jed Anderon
    Mitch Duncan
    Heeney
    Hawkins
    Baker

  30. can’t go butters to bont with 2 trades as I have to get rid of mad gawn, is it worth waiting a week and getting bont next week?

Have 520k, should I just settle for treloar and get bont later in he year when I can

TU – wait and get bont
    TD – get treloar

    8

    7
  31. To finish my team off I need to trade:
    Daicos > Stewart
Rosas > cheap forward (probably Jai Culley?)
Question is do I do it this week leaving me 5k in the bank, or wait a round and potentially pocket around 80 – 90k extra? I’ll have 5 trades left afterwards

TU > Wait a week and bank cash
TD > Take the points on field!

    11

    0
    1. Wow..
And too think I had English for a few hours before swapping him to libba to bank the cash for the butters dilemma that arose midround. It’s Only a week but still.

      1

      3
    2. Might be 2 weeks?

Concussion occurred on 18/6, the Dogs play on 24/6 and again on 30/6 which is the minimum 12 days for concussion protocols.

      2

      0
  32. I’m 5k short of going Butters > Bont & Hobbs > Jackson
Disaster. I have English Witts Teakle in RUC so need to find a RUC FWD

  33. Is hall to big of a gamble?
    Want to trade out Lloyd.
DEF is-Stewart, sic, doc, hewitt, sinclair.

Yes he is a gamble, but what’s the chances of it paying off?
TU-Hall can match dawson for the run home, possibly out average him.
TD-Even if he dosnt get injured, there’s 0% chance he’s matching Dawson at the leased.

    14

    2
  34. Okie, have to make a couple of trades this round.

First one is pretty easy, Butters to Cameron (gives me that DPP to cover for English this week.

The other one I’m wanting to do is downgrade McCartin (so I can upgrade Hobbs next week to have a full premo side). Only thing is, he’s in my forward line, and I’m not really sure if there’s any forward rookies on the bubble apart from Judson Clarke, whom I already have. I could switch Clarke to my forward bench, but I have the same issue with the mid rookies too.

  35. The plan was Butters to Bont..now Pruess has caused even more carnage putting English out for a week…so…

I need a Ruck this week to swing English forward so I can cover him ..

Must be under $550K ..so I can still get in Bont later.

    T/U Goldie.

    T/D ROB.

    Cheers guys.

    11

    8
    1. And i thought Goldy/cameron was a weak but serviceable ruck line. Holding up really well all things considered.
      Please don’t break Goldy FT!
But as a goldy owner seeing all the carnage i endorse this move. No regrets having him, actually am very relieved with how the rucks are going this season.

      2

      0
      1. Yeah I’m leaning towards Goldie.

ROB has the ceiling but he tends to run hot and cold.

Goldie always been pretty reliable even in a struggling side.

        6

        0
        1. I did start Gawn Grundy though. But cameron and goldy were both fwd selections that have moved into my ruck. Not spending big on fwds this year or rucks next season.
80% of my opening money is going to mids and defence.

          3

          0
          1. Owen

Blicavs has lost his CBA’s the last few weeks with Stanley back. he really loses his ceiling when not getting midfield time.

Ceglar not too far away either so I will pass.

            2

            0
            1. Hi FT,

My reasoning for looking at Blicavs.

He might have lost a few CBA’s but Scott loves to play him around the ground and on the wing.

As a Cat’s fan I can’t see him going back to defence, especially with Henry coming back in and SDK, Stewart, Kolodjashnij, Zac Guthrie and others playing so well.

I also doubt Scott is going to play Ceglar in the same side as Stanley and Blicavs.

Five home games in last 9 games and he doesn’t get injured.

Given the ruck carnage, if he averages 100 for the rest of the season and he saves any more trades, I reckon that’s a win.

              3

              0
              1. Yeah you could be right.

I really like the Cats run home. I actually took a punt on Duncan last week. I may have to have a closer look at Blic.

                3

                0
    2. Have you thought about Oscar McInerney?

Last year he was on fire after the bye and went to about a 110 average. On top of this with Hipwood and Daniher in Fort has been forced out of the team and now McInerney is the solo ruck.

Currently priced at 481k so a slight discount as well.

I’m tossing up whether to taking a huge risk on him or going Goldstein.

      5

      0
      1. yeah Yo Yo

Big O in the mix as well. I put a poll up on Twitter with him , ROB , Goldie and Darcy.

He could be great value, if he can get back to his form at the back of last year.

        3

        0
        1. @ FT – what about Luke Jackson from Melbourne

Much cheaper than these other options being mentioned, and should be about to score well for at least the next month.

And even though Gawn will be back in 3 to 5 weeks, maybe Jackson can then be used for “floating RUCK or FWD coverage” at that time.

Or when English comes back, and if trades still exist at that time 🙂 :), Jackson could also be used as a cheap upgrade to another premium forward?

I am considering bringing in Jackson as not real keen on any of ROB, Big O, Goldie or Cameron.

Would only consider Darcy as he is a gun – but only after he has had a few weeks of solo rucking (no Lloyd Meek) & once his high break even has washed through.

          Ahhh ruck decisions decisions!!

Went set & forget this year with Gawn & Grundy – and the rucks have been a complete disaster.

And the cherry on top was losing my league match up by 19 points on the weekend – with my new RUCK recruit Witts scoring just 68 (after he had scored about 8 tons in a row) 🙂

          6

          0
          1. Hello Brett.

I like the thought of Jackson. If Max was missing for a few months I would look at it. Gawn could be back in a few weeks, and Melb have a pretty hard draw coming up. He plays Big O and ROB next two then Geelong. These guys aren’t push overs and could keep him quiet.
ROB kept Witts to sub 70 last week.

I could go Paddy Mac sideways to Jackson and have him as my F7. I’m just not sure Its worth a trade at this stage.

If you have a full team and 6 plus trades he could be a possible stepping stone as he’s super cheap.

Best of luck whatever you decide.

            4

  36. Def: Sicily, Stewart, Hewett, Docherty, Short, Lloyd (Wehr, Parnell)

Mid: Oliver, Neale, Laird, Parish, Miller, Macrae, Walsh, Cripps (Clark, Owens, Clarke)

    Rucks: Gawn, Preuss (Teakle)

Fwd: Dunkley, Brodie, Coniglio, Butters, Heeney, Jeffrey (Rosas, Long)

    10 trades – $120k in bank

Really struggling on what to do – obviously need to trade butters, preuss and gawn. However, with tim english missing it makes harder on who to trade in

    2

    1
    1. Heater Fleeters,
      how about
      Gawn & Preuss >> Witts & Jackson
Long to MID, Clarke to FWD

      Next week –
      Butters >> Parker
Clark to best cheap playing rookie

      3

      0
  37. English going down has forced my hand. I can’t afford to have Butters on the pine for two weeks.

    Butters > Libba

Leaves me with 114K and freedom to go Daicos/Stewart next week.

    7

    0
  38. What’s the better combo for Preuss/Butters through all this carnage?
    T/U – Luke Jackson + Heeney (90k itb)

    T/D – Blicavs/Big O + Zac Bailey

    13

    3
  39. Hmmmm reckon advanced hair or mosh should sponsor SuperCoach coz I swear I had more hair at the start at this season……..

    10

    0
  40. Is Goldstein worth bringing in for butters?
means I can cover English this week at Ruck aswell

    TU – good idea
    TD – bad idea

    15

    3
  41. Zak Butters on SEN SA: “It’s a grade 2 medial, pretty much the same thing i did last year… I missed 1 week then so hopefully i get a similar result to that.”

    Hold?

    8

    5
    1. Was a fan of Preuss- but really losing all confidence… what’s worse he took out English- my other ruck- and thinking I might need a donut than waste 2 trades!

      3

      0
  42. Butters could be out for only 1 week according to his interview on sa radio tonight..
    I have 12 trades left.

TU: Trade to Bont while I can (2 trades)
TD: Holddddddd and hope it’s just one week, but have to play McCartin and Wehr on field this week.

    22

    4
    1. I wanted to get Bont this week.. English going out means I can’t now. I reckon Bont goes big against the Hawks this week, putting him close to 600k again! Get him in I say.

      3

      0
  43. With both Preuss and Butters news suggesting both might only be out for the week, is it worth holding? I’ve got Cameron to cover the ruck so means I’ll just have a rookie on field forward to cover for Butters

TU: hold and save trades for long term injuries and luxury upgrades.
TD: trade both, nothing guaranteed with either

Comment: one trade so which one needs to go

    11

    4
    1. TU: trade out butters. Could be out much more long term
TD: Preuss. Likely to be suspended or hurt again and need to bring in a Gawn/Grundy or Darcy type in the next few weeks anyway.

      4

      8
    1. Tough one. Whitfield Jackson for me. Whitfield looks to be scoring a bit better without Leon, and Jackson will have majority ruck duties for a month. As good as Doch is, I don’t think Xerri is the one.

      3

      0
  44. Kind of want to hold Preuss but also know I should bring in Witts (ideally would’ve waited for the price drop)

    T/U: Butters, Rosas, G. Clark >> Bont, Witts, J. Clarke ($21,100 ITB)
    T/D: Butters & Preuss >> Bont & Witts ($70,700 ITB)

Got plenty of trades and 1 midfield spot to fill (currently Daicos)

    Cheers!

    8

    1
  45. By my reckoning, English 12 day protocol finishes on July 1….after his r16 game is scheduled.
If I’m right, trading is a no brainer.

    2

    7
    1. Nah, the 12 days ends the day of the next game but I think there’s a good chance he still misses it as the dogs don’t rush anyone but are particularly cautious with him. Definitely a hard decision though cause if he just misses the one and comes out firing next week then it’s a really bad call to trade him

      4

      0
      1. So Johnno, the 12 day period doesn’t count ?? It was just put there to ensure they miss the next game ???

        0

        0
  46. Butters goes to who?
I am one of very few without Dunkley (I have Macrae, Bont, English, Treloar)

    T/U – Dunkley
    T/D – Parker

    18

    5
  47. English also going down mean a 0.

TU – Use another trade and last boost to get butters to Witts/ROB/Premo ruck
TD – Butters to Heeney, have a 0 this week (English in ruck) but save a trade

    12

    3
  48. TU-titch and Hawkins (surely titch comes good at some point, Hawkins reliable)

TD-tom green and rozie. (surely green comes good at some point, more consistent cba’s for rozie)

    8

    6
      1. I have green and titch. Deciding on which one to upgrade.
I’m traveling pretty well and I’m scared to trade out titch since he has so much room for improvement.
Green not so much yet he’s going better.
Titch can possibly gain 20-25 pts per week, green 10.
Also want a cheap whatever fwd.

  49. Going to go full premo (with D.Cameron and Zerrett) with 5 trades left this week. Which option is better?

T/U – Preuss, Butters and McCartin to Darcy, Stewart and J.Clarke

T/D – Preuss, Butters and Rosas to Heeney, Stewart and J.Clarke

    7

  50. OUT Greg Clark IN Karl Worner (DEF/MID DPP)

    OUT Zac Butters IN…

    TU – Luke Jackson
    TD – Darcy Cameron
    Comment – Todd Goldstein

Holding Preuss and need a ruck/fwd DPP to cover Preuss

    12

  51. Butters to…..
TU: Jackson to cover English missing
TD: Duncan surely has to come good and has an easy run home

  52. This was to be my first week at full premium. With English, Preuss, Butters & Teakle all out this week, either Preuss or Butters needs to be traded out to avoid a donut in the rucks. Will hold English.

TU: Trade out PREUSS – 3 suspensions in 7 games plus an injury to himself and the cause of English being out concussed. Definitely out for one game.

TD: Trade out BUTTERS – more likely to be out longer than Preuss. They’re saying 1-2 weeks.

The trade in will be a R/F to work in with English.
Doing either of the above trades leaves me with 7 trades and full premo going forward but with 2 onfield rookies this week, covering English and either Preuss/Butters on the bench. And avoiding a donut.

    7

    6
  53. Should I be trading butters if low on trades ?
anyone heard how long he will be out for

Have 7 trades and 2 rookies left on field

    TU – trade
    TD – hold

Playing for league, will have to go 17 players if I hold

    2

    16
  54. Rucks has been a shitshow this year ….long story ….anyway going MaCartin out for bont leaves me with 5 trades after the daicos for bonts trade … Donut in the rucks this week . FMSCT was ranked 1632 this week .

  55. Current rucks are Witts and Preuss, going Preuss to:

T/U – Goldy to open ruck/fwd link with English

    T/D – ROB

    16

  56. Who’s got better JS? Whoever I bring in will stay as D8/defensive cover for rest of the season.

    TU: D’Ambrosio
    TD: Parnell

    15
  57. This is a tough one. I Have 4 trades left.

Will get a donut if I don’t trade Pruess.

TU trade preuss to goldy and butters to Parker. Leaves 2 trades
TD save a trade and just do preuss to Darcy. Leaves 3 trades but miss out on Parker

    Which is better ?

    2

    17
    1. How can this bloke get 8 thumbs down without any context. For example, if you’re ranked highly and playing for overall, make the double trade. What sort of cover do you have? I ask because if you have no decent cover, it’s obviously a better to get parker than because no one trade is worth a three week donut. People saying butter will be back in one week are delirious. You’ve got barely any trades, may as well use one more at this point

      5

      1
  58. TU:
Trade out Preuss and Butters for Goldy and Bont and 6 trades remaining. Need to trade at least one of them as otherwise have a donut and need to trade both to get Bont.

    TD:
Just trade one of Preuss / Butters, miss out on Bont but 7 trades left & avoid the donut.

I have no rookies left on the field in either scenario (once English is back) so 6 or 7 trades is for future premium disasters (hopefully none) and/or upgrading a poor performing premium. Thoughts?

  59. Been racking my brain over the English problem. Dont want to trade him for one week out, but getting low on trades. Still gotta wait and see on both Zorko and Parish.

    I’m thinking a sad farewell to P McCartin and……

    Out McCartin Curtis
    In Jackson D’Ambrosio

With Dixon fwd via Curtis, I can keep English and have a ruck/fwd loop of English/Jackson/Big O via Dixon.

    TU Genius
TD Back to the drawing board.

  60. Guys please help!
Preuss and Butters – Luke Jackson and Bont/Parker?
    Or
Preuss and Butters – Sean Darcy and Luke Jackson.

    Cheers

  61. Down to 6 trades, almost full premo bar 1 fwd. Do I hang on to English & Butters? Sounds like they may only be out for 1-2 matches

    This is my team:

DEF: Sicily, Sinclair, Dawson, Hewett, Crisp, Short (Wehr, Khamis)

MID: Oliver, Neale, Laird, Parish, Miller, Macrae, Walsh, Cripps (Clark, C.Stephens, Owens)

    RUCK: English, Witts (Teakle)

FWD: Bontempelli, Dunkley, Brodie, Coniglio, Butters, Clarke (MacDonald, Rioli)

    0

    3
    1. That’s a really nice team 🙂

With only 6 trades, think you probably have to hang onto English & Butters.

      Do you have any cash?

If you have say $130k cash, a direct swap of Greg Clark with Luke Jackson (with Macdonald swapping into the MIDS) may help – or a direct swap of MacDonald for Jackson would be even better if you have a bit more cash.

Or with only a small amount of cash, you might be able to do something like:

Greg Clark ($255,200) to Jai Culley ($102,400 WCE MID / FWD that may play some games)

      plus

MacDonald to Luke Jackson – then swap Jackson with Teakle so you have no donuts this week.

Obviously that second option is using 2 x trades though

      2

  62. Going to have to pull some trades I don’t really want to field 18 this week. Who to trade out?

    T/U: Preuss
    T/D: English

    22

    0
  63. Is Darcy Cameron a good option to replace Butters? Only have 519k if using one trade.

    Will he maintain his scoring?

    2

    12
  64. Any love for Nank? 5 round average of 113 with easy run home. Could be a solid R2 with better durability than Darcy.

    16

    0
  65. TU – Libba + Jackson (holding butters so Luke Jackson is eventually f7/r3)
TD – Witts + Bont (trading butters, no cover with just a few trades left)

    0

    11
  66. Have to work out how I’m going to navigate this round with English, Preuss and Butters all injured.

TU: Trade Preuss to Goldstein. Keep Butters in hope that he’ll be back next week. Play Judson Clarke and Rosas on field, but field 22.

TD: Trade Preuss & Butters to Heeney & Bontempelli. No rookies on field, but cop a donut in the rucks.

    4

    6
    1. Can you afford a better ruck than Goldstein with option 1? Cause you could do option 2 but bring in Witts instead of Bont if you don’t have him? Sean Darcy is another solid option and is cheaper than Bontempelli so no donut

      0

      0
  67. Is Reilly O’Brien a viable replacement for Preuss considering Adelaide have a decent run home? Already have Witts and I’m not keen on bringing in Jackson considering he’s got the worst HTA percentage of the top 25 ruckmen in the comp. Sean Darcy is also too injury prone.

    What to do?

    T/up – Trade in ROB

    T/down – Look elsewhere

    5

    14
    1. I wouldn’t do it but he absolutely is a viable option, particularly if you don’t like Sean Darcy who would be my preference. ROB is the 5th highest scoring ruck by average and with English, Gawn and Grundy all out at the moment, that puts him second only to Witts so go for it and back your gut if you don’t like the other options.

  68. Just a general commet.
Reading this thread but find it hard to TU/TD or advice not knowing if they are playing for ranking or HtH. I play HtH and does determine my trades.
As much as I would like to have a high ranking I would rather win my 2 cash leagues
Suggest members state what they are playing for for the correct replys.

    8

    1
    1. I don’t just play for one or the other. I want my overall ranking to improve plus keep an eye on H2H. I just enjoy Supercoach. Not in any cash leagues so trade decisions aren’t influenced by either

      5

      0
  69. How does this plan sound?
    SDK -> Massimo
    Rosas -> Jackson

My plan is to hold Butters and trade him to Stewart next week for less than $100k (via McCartin)

    10

    1
  70. Best option? Playing for league wins only

TU: Goldstein and 525k for my last mid (and ruck coverage in case of injuries)
TD: Greene and 625k for my last mid (but no ruck coverage)

    7

    4
  71. Preuss to Blicavs
Rioli to Clarke (depending on teams)

Going to try and hold Butters given it may be a 1-2 week thing and I don’t have the cash to move on both Preuss and him to somebody decent

    4

    3
  72. My current team:
DEF: Sicily, Sinclair, Hewett, Crisp, Ridley, N.Daicos (Sinn, Wehr)
MID: Oliver, Neale, Laird, Parish, Miller, Macrae, Cripps, G.Clark (C.MacDonald, M.Rioli, Owens)
    RUC: English, Gawn (S.Hayes)
FWD: Dunkley, Brodie, Parker, Cogs, Butters, Jeffery (Durdin, Hollands)
$61,800 in the bank, 17 trades left, three trade boosts left
Have no idea what to do, suggestions are very much appreciated.

    1. You could do something like this:

      1. Pray & hope that S Hayes plays – as he should be a good chance to come back in to the Port side this week.
      2. Then trade Gawn to Witts – personally I don’t like the ankle injury that Gawn has, so he may be out for another 4 weeks?
      3. Trade out G Clark for Parnell (on the bubble/played two weeks) or D’Ambrosio (only played 1 week) by swapping Daicos into the mids (Wehr or Parnell on field – can loop them with Sinn).
      4. Use trade boost & trade Jeffrey up to the best forward you can afford (maybe Libba or Treloar or Heeney). Or you could even bring in Goldstein if you want FWD / RUCK coverage?
      5. Hope that Rioli plays – and swap him to the FWD’s with Hollands.

If Hayes and Rioli play (and Parish plays!!), then you should have 22 playing – plus have improved your side (whilst still holding English & Butters).

But obviously depends on team selections tonight.

      Good luck 🙂

  73. Hey guys would you?
Downgrade Loyd (he’s on my bench anyway) and trade Preuss to the best ruckman available but would mean I have to play Clark in my fwd line with the Butters injury.
    Or
Trade Preuss to Luke Jackson and Butters to Bont, leaving Clark on my bench.
I don’t have anymore boost trades so can only use 2 trades.
    Cheers

    1

    3
  74. Have both english and butter so struggling to field 18 this week
Butters, Dixon, Daicos > Bont, Turnstill, Jackson
This would leave me with only 4 trades left tho so what do u think but I’d be full premo bar jackson who I could maybe luxury trade out later

    2

  75. Is Jake stringer an option?? 368k, got some mid time last week. I need a forward under 450k, its either him or Greene. Feel like they are just as risky, but one is 80k cheaper.

    TU: go for it

    TD: you’ve gone mad

    1

    9
    1. Do you already have heeney, or can you afford him at $453k?

Much better option IMO than the two players you mention.

      1

  76. TU – out Butters, Hobbs and Lloyd
    – in Jackson, Bont and Dawson
TD – out Butters, Hobbs and Thompson
    – in Goldy, Bont and Parnell
Leaves me still holding Preuss in ruck and on bench.

  77. T/U:
    – Butters -> Bont / Hayes -> Visentini / Clark -> Petracca
    – Completed side in R14, 4 trades remaining, 0 boosts.

    T/D:
    – Butters -> Bont / M. Rioli -> J. Clarke this week.
    – Hayes -> Visentini / Clark -> Steele next week.
    – Completed side in R15, 3 trades remaining, 1 boost.

I think saving the money and taking Tracc this week which then saves a trade as well is probably more valuable than the scoring potential of a Steele or similar, Thoughts?

  78. TU Parnell
    or
    TD Massimo

Extra 20k may help down the line..? Job security probably more important, but have Wehr on bench too.

    6

    10
  79. Though I had an easy trade this week with butters to libba. Backfired of course with English getting concussion. Thoughts on me going Owens (need extra cash) and butters to Darcy and culley. Leaves me with 4 trades

  80. Torn between Goldy and D Cameron. On the Goldy hand he’s a timeless premo who could be a ruck I can keep at this point that’s a massive POD, however there is Xerri who was the preferred R1 at the start of the season, so is he working his way back in and then Goldy has a crap run to finish? And then there is Cameron, pretty safe 90-110 till round 18 when Grundy is back, so that’s a trade I don’t want to burn but it’s much safer. (BTW 5 injuries between ruck and forward line with no one to swap into either, so 2 trades are essential to be done and one has to be a ruck, not vibin with Jackson as much as I love him as a player)

    TU: Goldy
    TD: D Cameron

    7

    1
  81. Going Jackson for Butters.

I know it’s near sighted but why not, not like any of the logical trades I made this year worked.

  82. Talk that Parish not on plane to W.A. That is a real pain in the ask your mother for sixpence if so 🙁

    1

    0
  83. Have the English/Butters dilemma. Full premo otherwise. 5 trades left.

Tu: butters Wehr to Bont D’Ambrosio (play Clarke onfield for however long English is out)
TD: butters English to Goldy Tom Lynch (only has to travel twice more and still has games against North, West coast and bombers to come. Much riskier move but could pay off and gain points/rank quickly)

    3

    1
  84. Have 9 trades left one forward upgrade left and Lloyd to upgrade..To avoid a donut in the ruck…is it worth either..

    TU: MRioli/CStephens> Xerri/ JClarke or

TD: Lloyd/Curtis> (Field Wehr D6) Darcy or Goldy/JClarkeF6 English on fwd bench

    0

    5
  85. TU: Daicos, Dixon, Butters > Bont, Jackson, Tunstill (4 trades left 0 boosts) (Field 1 rookie this week)

TD: Daicos, Dixon > Goldy, Tunstill ( 5 trades left 1 boost) (Field 2 rookies this week)

    3

    2
  86. Would really like Hayes to get up so it saves me a trade instead of trading Hayes to Jackson this week.
TU – keep Hayes he should get a gig
TD – trade Hayes for Jackson (Hayes in unlikely)

    5
  87. With all the ruck carnage this year could it be smart to go both Darcy and Jackson, so that I have extra cover?? (playing for leagues if that makes any difference)

    TU: Darcy, Jackson

    TD: Darcy, Heeney

    4

    3
  88. Hey everyone,

Looking to move on either Butters or Preuss to Jackson. Any advice would be helpful.

    TU: Trade Butters
    TD: Trade Preuss

    Thanks!

    4

    1
  89. Currently bringing in Bont, Jackson and a cheap DPP Mid/fwd to facilitate the move (but still retaining Gawn and English on the bench). Who has the better job security going forward?

    TU: J.Clarke
    TD: E.Hollands

    1

    0
  90. Out: B Crouch, Jeffrey, Clark
    In: Bont, Heeney, Parnell

Holding both English and Butters for now.
Will mean fielding Daicos at M8 for this week, but rather that than fielding Curtis at F6. Will go 1 up 1 down next week to get in either Mills/Laird for final mid.
