Game Chat – Fremantle vs Sydney

Written by Thommo on May 22 2021

Where and when: Optus Stadium, Saturday 22 May at 7:40pm (AEST)

Last time they met: Round 13, 2020: Fremantle 7.8 (50) def Sydney 2.7 (19) at Optus Stadium.

Last five: Sydney 3 – Fremantle 2

Match Preview: Look, I know most eyes will be on the other Saturday night clash, but this is an interesting match with plenty of young talent on display. Obviously we are all aware that Sydney has improved massively in 2021 but Fremantle is not getting enough credit for their gains this season. Last week, poor goal-kicking cost the Dockers both a win and a position in the top 8, however they can remedy that immediately if they knock off the Swans at home.

With top 4 and top 8 spots up for grabs here, don’t be surprised if this proves to be the match of the night!

Thommo Watch:

Fremantle
This is more about who is absent than present with Andrew Brayshaw out injured for a few Supercoach midfields! Thats gotta hurt!
Sydney
With most of the Sydney kids culled, the Swans are far less relevant than they were a few weeks ago. Surely only Lloyd and Mills feature in many teams unless you are a thrill-seeker running with Heeney.
Thommo’s Tip: Fremantle by 6 points (tipping record 14/27).

  1. Absolutely spewing.

Had the vc on Oliver but then realised on Friday night that I couldn’t loophole him so ended up putting it on Martin and didnt that work out well.

    So typical.of my season.

    Nothing quite going my way.

    1. That sucks for sure!
I’ve got the VC on Satan, but my only option to loophole is benching Poulter, taking Berry’s 51 and putting the C on W.Phillips hoping he’s not a late in.

      TU: Do it!!
      TD: Risky business..
