Game Chat – Geelong v Melbourne

Written by Thommo on June 21 2015

Congratulations to Corey Enright for 300 quality games. It’s amazing that he’s still relevant to Supercoaches!

With Geelong celebrating Boris’s milestone and playing great football (3 wins in the last 4 games), this is not the week that Melbourne would have chosen to play the Cats. Add the loss of their best two tall forwards in Hogan and Pedersen and the Demons are set for a long day at Skilled Stadium, especially harsh after the terrible loss to the Saints last week.

Thommo’s tip: Geelong by 60 points.

  1. I’m 90 points ahead of my opponent with only Lumumba
While he has Selwood and Taylor…….
    Please Lumumba, you owe me!

    EDIT: WE DID IT BOYS!

  3. Have a big match up in LOEC 4 with 4th vs 5th. Need Selwood to outscore by 16 for a draw and 17 for a win.
Can’t say I am confident with Vince likely to tag Selwood. Should make the game a bit more interesting and also need the cats to win by more than 34.5pts to get a 4 leg multi.

  6. The problem teams like Geelong and GWS have at the moment IMO, is that they haven’t got enough experienced players playing around the stoppages to help out players like Selwood and Shiel when they cop the hard tag.

  7. At least with a close game if Selwood pulls out a big last quarter he could still sneak up to something reasonable.

  9. Amazing how Blicavs is already on 114 despite 5 free-kicks against. Looks like he’s a must have in the team at some stage.

  11. Selwood getting 74 is almost a pass considering how bad it was looking when he was on 13 at half time.
