Game Chat – Hawthorn v North Melbourne

Written by Father Dougal on June 28 2020

Where and when: Sunday 28th June at 6:05pm (AEST) at Foxtel Stadium10 (64)

What it means for the Hawks: It means a solid 3-1 start vs an average 2-2 start.  It also means a win vs a team that they may well be competing with for a finals spot.  This is a big game and the outcome could matter in September. Or October…. December anyone?

What it means for the Roos: Exactly same as it does  for the Hawks.  (See above)

Supercoach Watch:

Hawthorn: Ceglar, looking real, can he keep it up? Wingard, looking real, can he keep it up. O’Meara is starting to look real, can he keep it up? Can Sicily get it up? Can I fit in a viagra joke here? Better not….

Norf: The whole darn team is looking real, can they keep it up?  The Striped Smurfs are playing 4 apples high so far this season! Goldstein is having a monster season, like, well, a Gargamel among Smurfs. Jy Simpkin looks like he is breaking out and Cunnington has had two great games.

Father Dougal’s Watch: Tom Michell.  He’s had some issues getting it up this season, presumably because of an injured shoulder.

Father Dougal’s Tip: Looks close to me. When in doubt, go with the team coached by Alastair Clarkson. Hawthorn by 2.

  2. My heart and head hurt so much in those last 10 minutes, going to need a couple of schooies to cool it down now, on a positive as a whole we dominated but god did we almost throw it away late. Footy is a funny game folks
