Where and when: Adelaide Oval, Saturday June 29, 7.10pm ACST
What it means for Port Adelaide: Fresh off a brilliant upset of ladder leader Geelong, the Power have the opportunity to consolidate their spot in the top eight in a game they are expected to win.
What it means for Western Bulldogs: Finals are all but out of reach for the 15th-placed Bulldogs, but they showed enough in their plucky nine-point loss to Collingwood last Sunday to suggest they can trouble the best sides on their day.
The stat: Adelaide Oval has been an unhappy hunting ground for the Bulldogs, with just one win from their six visits to the ground. The Bulldogs’ only victory was against the Power in round 12, 2016.
The match-up: Robbie Gray v Marcus Bontempelli
Two absolute stars of the competition face off in the midfield. Gray is the best midfielder/forward at the Power and 29th overall in the Official AFL Player Ratings, while Bontempelli is the No.1-ranked player at the Bulldogs and 10th overall.
It’s a big week for: Tim English
After having his hands full with All Australian ruckman Brodie Grundy last week, 21-year-old English faces another huge challenge against Port’s Scott Lycett. Lycett was best on ground in the Power’s win against Geelong and will be looking to dominate around the ground again.
Big call: Power spearhead Charlie Dixon boots five goals in his second game back from missing 10 months with a broken leg.
Thommo’s Tip: Port by 6 points.

Was all set to trade Duursma to Garner but after Rocky, Hoff, Ryder and SPP all smashing it in the twos I’m not so keen.
I’m happy to cop a small cash loss and hold Duursma but is there anyone apart from Cameron who looks like a downgrade option next week?
NO LATE CHANGES
FINAL INTERCHANGES

Western Bulldogs: Taylor Duryea, Patrick Lipinski, Tory Dickson, Bailey Williams

Macrae in the wet.
Lycett!!
You end up getting him, AS?
Surely Macrae can beat 120 from my vc, just scared of Houston
Fark Macrae is copping Houston, tried to changed the C 30 seconds before the bounce and it said it’s locked…. brilliant
New recruit R gray forgot to turn up
It was gray or bont…went for gray dpp
Leave Caleb Daniels alone i need a big score
rocky , 57 possessions & 220 fantasy pts 😉
how well people play when they’re jobs are on the line
or their contracts are being renewed
No, he’s just teasing us to suck some of us in again in 2020.
will never go there again.
The Hoff had 32 touches and kicked a couple too for the maggies in the SANFL. Diff’rent level!
HOLYSHIT BONT IS ON 63!
His scores are ticking over at a rapid rate!
78 now! On fire!
86 at quarter time.
Is Bont going to reach triple figures in the first quarter
He’s having the game I’d hoped VC Macrae would have. Surely Houston goes to him after the break.
C.Daniel come on man!
He’s cracked the ton. Is Jonathan Brown’s 262 SuperCoach record under threat?!?!?
has to be close the way he’s going. needs to stay wet though and i think it’s clearing up 🙁

Reminds me of the Saints vs Bears up at Waverley back in the day.

Lycett you lil ripper. Keep going my beautiful F6, R2 swing man recruit!!!!!!!
I’m with you RB. Am playing Sal and he has the C on him!! Could go 150+ easy from here. English is sapped from that rain-effected first half 🙂
😀
I put it on, then panicked and went back to Fyfe, then just before the bounce thought sod it and went back to Lycett and got the
“UH-OH
PTAvWBD has already started”
Fair play and great call Sal. Just glad I bought him in this week!
It’s gonna be real tight now. Need a big one from Fyfe!
Should i take Grundy score or take Gawn when he plays
TU: YES TAKE IT
TD: NO DON’T TAKE IT GAWN CAN SCORE BIG
Lysett going big again
Shout out to Sal for the ballsy yet informed C on Lycett. Nicely done.
Thanks, GD.
Come to think of it, “ballsy yet informed” probably sums up my approach to the game in general…
Lycett you star!!!!!!!!!!!!
Port did a perfect trade for Lycett
Don’t put the C on Lycett they said. He can’t go big again they said.
Who said that!!???!
whats this
roaming soderstrom
Am I the only person who hears “Soda Stream” every time they say his name?
Caleb DANIEL has a bit of hamstring tightness
