      1. Held. Will probably upgrade to NicNat during the byes I think.
Fancy him to be second to Gawn from here to season’s end (total pts).
Have the feeling Nank might be given an extra week around his bye. We’ll see how things play out.
        You?

        1. Went to Grundy. Feeling optimistic about it but watching Nic Nat today… makes me feel a little nervous about it.

  1. miserable week, basically taking Oliver as my C will cost me most match up, points and no doubt the first leg badly behind in the SC Cup!

Pretty poor that we find out after the game he broke his finger last week and had surgery on Monday … someone pass me the scotch!!

  2. 2185 / Mitchell

11 tons. Seven scores below 70, including a handful of so-called “premiums”. Big love to Elliot Yeo today though, one of the best second half performances ever. I think I’m going to rage trade Hibberd this week….again

7 out of 9 league wins
Overall reasonably satisfied considering what it might have been.

Congratulations Father Dougal on inflicting my two league losses. Basically it gone down to Macrae vs Mitchell as captain and me having Holman as emerg. but not being able to get him on the field.

Memo to Leon Cameron. You play your number one ruckman in the ruck. No matter how bad Goldstein is going he will still destroy Keefe.

    1. Thanks mate,

Pretty close matches! Anytime your captain goes large it makes up for a lot of other issues.

Feels like a subpar score for this round but I’ll take it given a lot of my premos under-performed. Holman on field somehow saved my blushes!

Just checked my computer and amazed I cracked 2.2k
Playing Sauce, Kelly, Coffield, Murray, Guelfi was only saved by Titch and Cripps as Holman was my 3rd highest scorer

Better this week after dropping 4k spots last week looking for the double upgrades this week or might wait and get Gray next week

  7. 2225/Gawn/3850approx

    8/10 league wins

Outstanding….Lloyd, Titch, Cripps, Gawn & Holman ( only on the ground as M Crouch on the pine )

Underperforming….Jacobs, Simpson, Smith, T Kelly, Oliver & Sicily all having off weeks!

Still plenty of upside for Catta’s Clan

Great week with most of my premos firing. Going for a cash league win so not really concerned about overall, interested to see where this week stacks up though.

  9. 2348, Macrae, 2190
Some average scores. Robo.70 odd, Simpson 70 odd, Sicily 70 odd, Kelly 48, not bad for 21 players. English didnt play

  10. 2315/Titch

Should’ve put the VC on Macrae, as it eventually cost me, losing by 13 points in my cash league.

What also ended up being insult to injury was Petracca scoring 89 (with Charlie Curnow being a late out, I ended up taking Spargo’s score of 60 in Petracca’s place instead)

Apart from that, generally happy, especially that Yeo came back on the field.

  11. 2329 – Macrae – was 792 pre round.

Traded Nank to Grundy on Friday night given Nanks injury cloud. Hoping it works out for the best!

After free falling for the last 2 weeks I think that score should arrest the slide.
Won’t be rage trading Billings, but if playing the Pies isn’t enough for him finding form then nothing will.It will be one of the most calmest trades I’ve ever made!

  13. 2231/Gawn

Painful Sunday. Was looking at a good score and then had sub 90 scores from Robinson, S Martin, Oliver (on debut) and Sicily. Treloar and Finlayson also disappointing.

  14. 2217/Grundy

Fail on captain, took Danger in and put the VC, then went C on Grundy not Gawn or Titch.

Holman, Fritsch and Mirra wasting points on the bench too.

But not a total failure of a round by any means.

  15. 2263/Macrae/Was ranked 3385

Macrae, Yeo (brave effort), Titch, Mclean, Gawn, Heeney and Cripps, Fritsch, Ronke and Doedee were very good.

Sicily, Cogs, Stef Martin, Fyfe, Dev Smith, Laird, Walters and Dusty were okay/average.

Murphy as cover for Hurley, Phillips in his one game as M8 before I get danger, Kelly and Murray were all pretty poor.

Hopefully Hurley comes back early, which was said to be possible by Woosha, Yeo doesn’t have a week off and Danger can come in and make a difference next week.

I am quite happy with that score when i look at some of the duds in my team this week. I won 8/10 matches but i lost the one that counts and i am now no longer undefeated in that league.
SPUDS: Billings and Hibberd were the 2 that killed my chances of a clean sweep this week. I keep questioning why i have them but i keep feeling i will trade them at the end of the season as that is when the games really matter. Form now isnt the same as at the end of the year. Other duds were Kelly, Devon, Stef and most the rookies on the bench.

STARS: I had a fair few stars this week, Titch, Cripps, Gawn, Zerrett, Yeo, Fritsch, Doedee, Christensen and Holman. I will also add Jack Higgins as his late withdrawal gave me Holman’s emergency score. The rookies that scored 80+ are just continuing to make money and my faith in Holman has payed off and it gives me more reason to use him as a warm body during byes.

  17. Embarrassed to put this here…

    2,146 | Gawn | Was 4,875

    Heros:
Laird, McLean, Doedee, Gawn, Cripps, Titch, Mirra, Fritsch, Yeo, Martin, Heeney, Fyfe, Holman (BENCHED)

    Losers:
Oliver, Kelly, Smith, Sicily, Martin, Spargo, Simpson, Brayshaw, Gray, Cogs

Very average week despite 10 hundreds.

Screwed up any chances of 2,300+ benching Holman and only getting 120 out of Gawn as captain.

  18. 2087/ C Oliver/Pre Rd9 Rank:4257

Poor round with only 4 players scoring 110+ (D Zorko, M Gawn, T Mitchell and new recruit E Yeo), Spargo fielded instead of Holman due to being unable to loop them using J Kelly, selecting Cumming and Yeo instead of Z Tuohy and E Phillips and Oliver as captain. Hopefully J Kelly will make his return and Hurley won’t be too far away. Looking forward to brining in Ryder for Lycett and 1 of Gray/Walters for Guelfi in Rd11.

  19. 2299 / Macrae (via loophole) / 89th overall

Oliver and Kelly were my only midfielders that didn’t ton up, and I had Holman as the E.
Champs: Macrae, Titch, Cripps and Yeo (what a 2nd half!), Holman
Chumps: R.Gray (have a week off son), Kelly (due for a bad week)

Very happy. Only disappointment was not being able to loophole Holman’s score. A few under-performers but I’m not complaining.

  21. 2176 / Gawn / 7,249

Magnificent debuts in Salamander colours for new recruits Zach Tuohy and Jack Crisp, but it wasn’t enough to stop me from slipping down the rankings slightly.

  22. 2327 cripps
How many votes for Cripps for the Mvp player of the year atm, just shows a player with that much brilliance in a struggling side compared to dangerfield, ablett, selwood etc who think they r above & beyond, enough said

Was going to upgrade Naughton to Lloyd before the deadline but ended up downgrading him to keefe for the Sicily swing. Anyway, 350k in the kitty time to upgrade some cows and try get into the top 20!

  24. 2139/Gawn

Funny how that, no matter the upgrades to the team, it just seems to find a way to remain stagnant or get worse.
Highest score for the season remains round 2, and even that one was nothing to brag about.

  25. 2304 / Macrae / Down 2. Now 152 from the leader.

    10/10 league wins

Macrae as captain saved me from falling too much from all the other dodgy scores.

Not so good this week: Simpson, Sicily, Murray, T Kelly, Phillips, R Gray. Hmm, Dusty did ton up, so that’s good at least.

    Happy with new recruit Webster.

Going to have to make a lot of tentative plans this week, with the byes coming up.

Macrae, Cripps, TMitch big contributors. Danger ok on debut – couldn’t resist at that price, though not ideal for bye strategy.
Pretty happy with where I’m at, best rank I’ve had.

  27. 2401/Macrea/31

Very solid round with everyone gunning it. i did trade Doedee & Homan which hurt a bit. Yeo scared the shit out of me once he went down injured but i prayed to the SC gods and they returned the favor with Yeo returning and tonning up.

Hoping to stay this high up i’m sure it’s going to be very hard. i will be looking into my players over the byes and work out who i need to bring in in the following weeks.

    Studs:
    Yeo (Super Jesus)
    LLOYYYYYDDDDDD
    Macrea
    Cripps
    Titch
    Gawn
    Fritsch

    Duds:
    Sic Dawg
    Simmo
    T.Kelly (Stiff for a rookie)
Stef (Robbed? 19 dispsoals, 28 hitouts?)
    Gray
Devon (Robed? 18 touches 10 tackles?)

Not sure of trades just yet, Kelly, Naughton, Henry may go at this stage.

  28. 2501 missed and extra 30 points trading Doedee instead of Finlayson like had planned all week. Jumped 5000 spots but needed it 1948th
