  1. 2240/Gawn

Honestly pretty happy with the round. Main issue was trading Massimo to Williams 20 minutes before the bounce on Thursday and ending up with Fisher who I’d been avoiding all week. Early thoughts will be Gibcus and Fisher to Massimo and Billings but gosh it’s good to have SuperCoach back

  2. Ahhh, we’re back!

    2127 / Thomas Green

Reasonably happy given I’ve got nearly three quarters of a mill in the bank. Realised halfway through the weekend that my team was garbage and decided to punt on some value – Steele and (to a lesser extent) Wines were both wins, and Ollie Dempsey was terrific.
Got some rookies to fix up but who doesn’t?

532 from an ugly forward line that I couldn’t really bear to look at ….and 465 from a multi-“premo” backline. Bring on round 2.

T Green as C after Grundy fail.
    Fisher and Williams disappointing.
Puzzled by Sanders getting subbed out.
Avoided Gibcus and J Clarke getting injured and non performing.
Don’t have enough $’s to go a straight trade between Gibcus to D’Ambrosio so may e have to sacrifice someone.
    Overall very happy.

  5. 1980 /Livingstone. Swapped English to Gawn to free up cash for some changes and didn’t re- apply the e to ruck bench… killed the round. Reid on field, Z Williams H young and M owens on field stopped it from being a good start otherwise…

  6. 2286 – Green VC

Overall very happy with the score. Gibcus on field & injured hurts along with Ried means 2 forced trades after week 1. D’Ambrosio seems a obvious replacement for one.

Watch’s on Williams & Martin to see if they can bounce back or if pre-season was a trap.

    1. Will say that Martin had the role just used it very poorly & went missing last qrt

Williams just stayed in rooms post 1/2 time.

Gibcus hurt and have a few high scoring rookies on the bench left a few points off the board.
At least 1 forced trade this week!

both Gibcus and Reid on field and few spuds
No cash for Massimo, so may wait one more week to trade…

  8. 2143/Daicos

Studs: Daicos, Gawn, Serong, Bont, Sheezel and Flanders

Spuds: Fisher, Newcombe, Martin, Young, Grundy and Williams

Managed to avoid a lot of the rookie carnage on the field, picking all the highest scoring ones except Sanders. Unsure on how I go about this week and whether I hold for a 2nd game to see if Martin and Fisher can hit targets

Green,Heeney,Maxy,Sheezel and Di Massive Brosio all super!
Don’t think I’ve ever had such a high % of cheapies/rookies go high 60’s to high 70’s at the start.Amazing how it helps you along

Bit of a disaster on my end with late structural changes, with the deepest wound being chopping Ryan.

  11. 2,330 Daicos

Daicos, Gawn, Serong!!! T.Green, Sheezel, Flanders, Anderson, Butters, Heeney, Billings- outstanding

only let down was Grundy, Williams could have done more & Gibcus on field – terrible news for the young lad once again, this game is brutal!

Very happy with the rookies in Reid, McKercher, S.Berry, Roberts, Sharp, Hore & Windsor

only downhill from here ( I hope not)

  12. 1986 Daicos Ranked 98k

Missed all the big scorers except for Daicos and Green.

Spuds…….too may to list but I am still asking myself why did I pick No 1 spud Fizzer (Fisher)????

Copped both Gibcus and Reid onfield and had McKercher on the bench.

Started last year at 72k after R1, so the fight back starts next week!

  13. 1992/LDU into Bont/96k

Wow, officially my worst rank in history. Thought my team would look better balanced if I had a few of the popular players (anti POD theory) everyone had so did a major restructure – tossed out Ryan, Serong, Mass, Flanders, Green and Bonner and ended up with the likes of Sheez and Jackson and Fyfe (OK), but Fizzer, ZWill and young not so good. Need to get to work !!

  14. 2240/Green.
Gawn, Bont, Naicos, Flanders, Green & Sheezel did the heavy lifting. Butters and Rozee came good late. Special mention to Fyfe who justified the faith R1.

Libba, Grundy, Young and Bevo’s general Bevness re Sanders the disappointments.

Gibcus (onfield) and Reid (sub)have caused headaches. Gibcus to D’Ambrosio looks a no-brainer but I’ll hold off until after round 2 to see who comes in for Reid.

  15. 2235 / VC Green / 7’493

Positives: Serong, Gawn, Daicos, Sheezel, Flanders, Bont, Fyfe, Mckercher

Negatives: Dawson had a bad game and gave away 4 frees. Young also gave away four frees and shifted to backline when Omac and Worner went down.

    Overall, decent score

  16. 2282 having taken the VC points with Daicos

Could have broken 2300 if I stuck with Tom Green.

    100s by 5 mids, 3 backs, 1 ruck and 2 forwards

    It’s all downhill now

  18. 2118/Green/47k

Think i nailed most of my starting squad however i did miss Heeney which does hurt but Flanders is going great. Had Gibcus fielded ouch. Dawson and Libba i expect both to lift massively next week.

    Studs:
    Daicos
    Houston
    Sheezel
    Bont
    Green
    Flanders
    Mckercher (Benched)
    Gawn
    Fyfe

    Duds:
    Nateo (Fielded Gibcus)
    Young
    Williams
    Bevo (Sanders)
    Grundy
    Fisher

Originally was going to go Gibcus to Ambrossio but realised Tom Berry has popped his hands up and is on the bubble.

  19. 2037 / Green / 82k

Not good. Some corrective trades coming.

Had Clark and Reid on field, McKercher on the bench. Fisher and Grundy uninspiring.

Supposed I nailed my captain if nothing else.
