  1. Would love to know what people’s thoughts are on Naish? I’m very bullish based on such low ownership and fairly good job security

  2. I’ve decided to go with Short McInnerny Hewitt Chapman McCartin Kelly DeKoning and loophole in back line any chance this might score around 450 points and actually work ur thoughts please dane

  3. Now that Milera has been named, is anyone tempted to select him? comes with huge risk no doubt but if he can stay on the park he will make min $100-150k

    T/U Milera
    T/D Chapman

    1. Only news I can find is Maginness testing positive – anyone else have confirmation of other outs? I’ve got a couple other Hawks in my team.

  4. Is Hewett a must have? I can’t justify the price. I’ve decided to ditch him and start with 4 premo defs and 2 def rooks on field (between hinge, SDK, Paddy McCartin).

  5. If you had enough money for one or the other of JHF or Xerri, which one would you take?

    Basically it’s
TU: JHF + Baldwin on field (Nick Martin on the bench
TD: Xerri + Ward on field (Soligo on the bench)

I’m wondering if Xerri is the better play over JHF with more mids rookies available then Fwds + the fact that I think Xerri will also avg more points.

    Love to hear your thoughts.

  6. Hi, long time listener, first time caller.

Should I be despondent that I’ve got every single one of the Herald Sun’s Essential 11 in my team? How am I going to (almost) win Round 1 again if my team looks exactly the same as everyone else’s?

    1. Welcome to the site,Motts.

It is the new supercoach game.

A tech league for everyone playing Supercoach. We all start off with the same team.

Good luck for 2022 and don’t be a stranger.

      Cheers
      CT.

    2. Treat it like a Tech league.

It’s all about how we trade. Sorry, been so busy checking for my final team .

Some good rookie info coming up.

      1. Thanks guys, good advice! I’ve been so spooked by the Hawks COVID rumours that I’ve traded Sicily down to Chapman and freed up over $150k. Boom Shaka Laka!

        4

        1
        1. I have been sitting on that rumour for ages but unless it is confirmed I won’t post it,could be more than Sicily. Time will tell.
I have planned an alternate teams as well.

          1. SCT doesn’t publish on rumours, CT. Glad to see you’re upholding our principles of journalistic integrity.

            I’m still spooked though!

      1. I’m thinking Witts or even Pruess if Hays can pull out a solid score. The aim would be to upgrade to a top ruck at a later date.

        2

        3
  7. If you’re running a donut off the drop, would you put them in the backline or mids? I’m leaning backline as there seems to be so much money to make in the guts.

    7

    1
    1. English would eventually provide fwd/ruck cover but not sure how much Hayes will play. And just feel Witts/Preuss will bank cash, with Preuss providing adequate ruck cover (post rd1 anyhow)

      3

  8. TU: Rayner
    TD: Xerri

Guys who else you think to replace Xerri, don’t really feel confident with him…

    5

    9
    1. Addition to this:
      TU: Taranto, Witts, Xerri
TD: Butters, Marshall (Or other ruck under 600k), McCartin

Love this input for last minute!

  9. I’ve been digging for some high grade opinions on this year rookies, likely to start round one. Please join the conversation . I’m sure I missed some..
    * Locks
    # Highly consider .
    ! avoid

In Defence .. McCartin*, and Hinge* are locks for me. On Hinge..If Milera and Dawson are named, dodgy shoulder or not, he’s in. SDK #is a cheap DPP warm body . in. Gibcus is also named, but comes with the higher price and maybe less scoring opp. so maybe gets a bench spot, Sinn# could bob up but I wouldn’t plan for it. He is a solid option if named.

    So that’s.
    Hinge*
    Mc Martin*.
    SDK*/ #
    Gibcus#
    Sinn.#
    Boyd !

    Mids:

    Daicos*
    Ward*
    JHF*
    Stephens#

Scoring wise. There’s probably not much between JHF and Stephens* , Stephens may be more consistent , but Horne Francis may get Forward status so I like him more.

Other Rookies Mids I like, in order..

    Owens.#
    MacDonald#.
    McEntee. M/F.#
    Hough.#

Mids I’m going to Fade ! due to poor JS Eg; other player likely to come back in.

    C Stephens.!
    Soligo !

    Rucks..

I’m going Dixon #, J Hayes# is another option. Both could be in and out of their respective sides. Guys like Kennedy and Ryder are just hanging on, so I expect both to play some games.

Forward. Rachelle* He’s the only one I feel comfortable fielding .

    These guys are bench options.
    Durdin #
    McEntee#
    Baldwin#
    Nic Martin#
    Dixon#
    Hayes #

    Who did I miss 😉

    1. Thank you Motts and all the SCT team.

It’s been a huge build up to this weekend. So much to analyse and go through , I’m so happy to be a part of such a giving and “generally” wise community . Theres too many people to thank.. actually , you know who you are , we are probably in a league together 😉

I want to wish of you, the best of luck in 2022.

To Gov.. or not to Gov ?

    2. Father bless you FT, that is some cracking info!

Perhaps the perfect person to ask, O’Driscoll down back, still 35% owned…are these ghost ship teams from earlier in the year or the kid is a chance?

      4

      1. Knock Knock.

I can’t see O Drizzle getting up for Round one. There maybe a slight chance with Fyfe looking doubtful. I wouldn’t bet on it though.

  12. If rumours are true about Sicily being out with covid who is everyone thinking of replacing him with as I am in some Barney rubble. Not keen on hewett or Chapman and don’t have any extra cash to go to a 500k premo

TU downgrade elsewhere to get him up to a premo like Ryan Whitfield etc
TD downgrade to a rookie and go light on defenders and upgrade mid or fwds

Comment: don’t panic and keep him

    6

    1
  13. TU: Ridley, Gibcus with n.Martin and Uwland on bench

TD: Hewett, Chapman with o’driscoll and Baldwin on bench

    4

    1
  14. TU: Neale and Hewett
    TD: Cripps and Whitfield

Real headscratcher. Potential uber-premo and a solid defensive mid-pricer playing as a mid vs. Two likely keepers.

    11

    3
  15. Hi all, would love some feedback on this team! $57k ITB

DEF: Crisp, Short, Whitfield, McInerney, Hewett, Hinge (PMcartin, SDK)

MID: Macare, Miller, Neale, Rowell, Berry, JHF, Daicos, JWards (Stephens, SOligo, MacDonald)

    RUCKS: Gawn, Grundy

FORWARD: Dunkley, Butters, Coniglio, McGovern, Xerri, Durdin (Rachele, Martin)

    1

    0
    1. Don’t love having both Hewett and Mcinnerny in the same team. Both are highly risky breakout premiums.

You’d be better off turning one into a real premo and having a mid pricer at D5.

      5

      0
  16. Why is everyone so keen on Hewett? More productive role with the Blues compared to the Swans?

I’m trying to strategize about what to do if Sicily is confirmed out for my D4. I could go up to Whitfield or down to Hewett. If I do the latter, I could bring in Mcgovern at F4, but I’m not as sure as others seem to be that McGovern will increase his average by enough to be cow-like or a keeper.

TU: Whitfield D4, Brodie F4 (Xerri and Rachele F5-6).
    TD: Hewett D4 , McGovern F4 (Brodie F5, Xerri / Rachele F6, Maginness out).

    1. He was played all around the park at the Swans, but showed when used on-ball he could find plenty of the pill.

He’s taken Ed Curnow’s role at Carlton as the defensive mid. He’ll probably do some tagging work, but on pre-season form he’s also doing plenty of gruntwork at the contest as well as being used in handball chains to effect the clearance.

Every chance he ends up a bit of a Diet Jack Steele – good for plenty of tackles, a fair bit of contested ball, some clearances, all of which rate well with CD. Won’t get the sheer weight of footy that Steele accumulates, and doubt he’ll hit the scoreboard either, but I think he’ll be good for an 85 average with potential to push that into the low 90s at best.

      4

      1
  17. Thoughts on running Preuss R3?

I’ve got English R2 and think Preuss might score better than Xerri

    TU – Preuss R3
    TD – Xerri F5

    1

    9
  18. Best points and cash generation (overall) m6 and d6.
    TU Rowell and Hinge
    TD Berry and Chapman

Can’t fit Rowell and Chapman (as much as I’d like to)

    12

    5
  19. Since ralphsmith isn’t name have to find funds to go up to McGovern.

    Which combo is better?

    Tu; Berry & Soligo
    Td; Ward & Stephens

    13
  20. What’s the better option if odriscoll and n.martin doesn’t play

    Tu: baldwin odriscoll d/m
    Td: mcguinness m/f n.martin

Currently going with Baldwin odriscoll to potentially bolster defence as well or maybe I should be going Baldwin and whoever else is named at m11 as not sure if soligo or mcentee will be hanging in there very long.

    1

    1. Elijah Hollands, talented and skilful player, who has appears to have lost favour after a pre-season injury.

Very unlikely he will play Rd 1 but should play at some time during the season if the opportunity arises.

      6

      0
    1. Durdin Forward only 🙁

I’m still starting him at F7

Hough may play, but he’s not really AFL ready, and may be first out when others available. @$117K prefer Owens or McDonald.

      2

      0
      1. Cheers FT. I think Durdin stretches my $$ a bit but Owens definitely tempting now. Good luck with your side mate

  21. Hmmm, nobody talking about Dusty. Not in any team reveals that I’ve seen but somehow in 38% of teams, and the third most selected Premo fwd behind Dunks and Butters. 9th most popular fwd overall.

Why arent we talking about Dusty?

    1

    1
      1. Everyone picks the name.

Dusty is pretty safe, you traditionally get a great scored tonight , then he cruises to the byes. Richmond need to secure a few wins early, so he could have a great first month. If you like Dusty pick him. I just see other spots I’d rather spend that cash. The rookies are pricey this year. Find the money to turn him into Short. We all need to strengthen our backlines. There’s more value in the forward line.

I’m happy to pass on Dusty.

        1. Freo tragic great start to our teams did u stick with Hewitt and gov tnx u talked me into gov when Ralphsmith was the sub What’s your thoughts on Cunningham without lyodd can he go 80+ or stick with McInnerny or sicdog

          1

          0
          1. Morning Mick.

Don’t go Cunningham. He is a lock down player. Lloyd only out for one week so I don’t expect much difference from the Swans boys. Rampe is not really SC relevant, ( unless you have him in Draft ) but I feel he’s the one to most likely to spike with McCartin x2 and Lloyd out. He will take most of the kick ins and play loose.

McInerney is a Breakout contender, he’s been on the wing but may be used at HB this week with Lloyd out. He’s a high talent but still quite a gamble to be consistent week in week out. There probably a 50/50 chance he goes over 90. Pass from me.

Sicily is a no as well. ( sorry ) He’s highly owned, so is probably safer than McInerney. I just feel his role is not secure enough with the rebuilding Hawks likely to throw players around to find their best mix . He will have some good games but those hoping for a return to ~100 average are very optimistic. I see a 90-95 as being more realistic.

Best of luck whoever you choose.

            0

            0
    1. Taranto will play Forward until Greene returns R5 .

He’s more a promising upgrade than a starting selection.

      Pay up for Steele.

  22. Sorry, posted this in the wrong thread.

    G’day everyone!!

Now that McDonald is confirmed as playing, he is in my side – so my MID bench is:

    D Stephens
    McDonald
    Soligo or Hough

Reckon that Soligo will win more contested possessions & tackle more than Hough – but not sure about their respective job security?

Lots of WCE players to return at some point in the near future you would think – unless COVID plays havoc with the teams in the West.

Am leaning towards Soligo for these reasons, but would appreciate your thoughts:

    T/U Soligo (Adelaide) $117,300 MID

    T/D Hough (WCE) $117,300 MID

    2

    2
    1. Hough looked pretty good in the last pre season game. I think the stats I jotted down were:
      Hough 11k 3hb 8m 1t
      Soligo 5k 4bh 2m 3t

Not sure what the on ground times were though but on those numbers Hough for me.

  23. What are Ward and Stephens job security like?
Currently thinking of chopping berry to accomodate both WARD & STEPHENS into my side. (Will be starting one of them on field)
    Thoughts on this please!

    Tu; Berry & Soligo
    Td; Ward & Stephens

  24. In the backline I can have 2 of 3 below. Which 2 should I go with?

    Hinge
    Sinn
    McCartin

    Thanks

  25. Thoughts on going without JHF. He’s going to be special but looks set for a fwd role at the moment, at least at the start of the year. Would allow me to swing Rachele and have him on field as the replacement in the midfield and upgrade Hinge to Chapman as my D5. Risky move but may be able to be corrected with Xerri/Brodie/Mcgovern in the fwd line anyway?

    TU – Chapman D5, Rachele M8, Martin F8
    TD – Hinge D5, JHF M8, Rachele F7

    0

    3
  26. Should we put Gibcus in despite price considering team selections doesn’t seem many better options?

    1

    0
  27. TU – Berry (80ave ) + Brodie (70ave) =150
    TD – Ward (70ave) + Gresham (80ave) =150

    Speculative I know.
I like greshams role with lack of mids and previous good scoring power.

I’m worried about Berry’s game time and role and what happens to Brodie when Fyfe is back.

Xerri is off my list and Gov is made of butter.

    3

    1
  28. Should I trade Darcy?
    Tu: Yes
    TD: No
leaning towards keeping him as I already have Grundy and feel like Darcy’s in for a big year.

    9

    5
    1. Only asking because I need a downgrade option from Sinn who’s not playing, so I can loophole Macrae’s score

    TU: Ridley, Hinge (Interchange)
    TD: Stewart, O’Driscoll (Interchange)

  30. Who to trade Josh Sinn to?
Already have De Koning, after trading out sinn I have 165K?
    cheers guys

    tu) Ridley + D.Stephens (Bench)

td) Crisp + one of ( Hough Siligo or owens)

    1. Lions backline is competitive for a spot. You got Answerth coming back into form, speed demons of sharp and madden also vying for a go. Wilmot will hopefully get a run this year but I don’t see it happening early.

  33. Curious what everyone thinks for my last mid bench spot.

    TU – D.Stephens $167.8k
    Or
TD – Hough or another $117.3k rookie

I guess what im asking is, is Stephens worth the 167k or is there better value elsewhere for the bench?

    Cheers

    11

    2
  34. Owens a must?
Have no room for him unless I trade Brayshaw all the way down and grab a premium instead on another line…

TU: Ridley/heeney & ward M8 (Owens will become bench)
TD: Andy Brayshaw and chapman D5… (Pass on Owens)

    4

    6
  35. TU – D Stephens and Nic Martin

TD – Baldwin and 148k mid bench (looking at sheldrick but don’t no much on him, Hough, Mead, Owens)

    7

  36. Okay. Does anyone know any rookie forwards not playing this week, that are a chance to play next week?

Wanting someone to loophole so I can get Macrae’s VC score, and Durdin is my emergency and is looking like he’s gonna score well at this point.

    0

  37. Whats everyone doing?

TU – making sure they have a solid loophole option

TD – getting as many playing rookies as possible for maximum cash generation.

    6

    16
    1. I still rate Chapman. I had him a long long time until today but for me it was a case of changing Berry into Rowell by downgrading to Hinge which appealed to me. I think a lot are raiding Def and fwds to bolster mids.

      4

      1. Hey Mav

I was on Chapman until the very last minute. The rookies that showed allowed a last minute upgrade to Hewett at D4. I still Chapman can work. I just felt more comfortable with Hewett.

Best of luck if you go Chappy . I love the kid !

        1

        1. Thanks for the reply FT.
I had hewett D4 and Chapman D5 hinge D6 and McCartin and de koning on bench. I think I’ll roll the dice on chappy I missed gibcus but am tempted too go Wilmott for a loophole and back him in to break back into the lions best 22 next week or round 3.

What’s ya opinion on Andy Brayshaw FT? Would like your insight with you being a passion Freo supporter. Cheers

          1

          0
          1. Afternoon Mav ..

Andy B has all the attributes to breakout, to uber premo. It may still be one year too early. His low TOG is the biggest issue. It’s usually in the mid 7o’s . His PPM are great, he is just not getting enough game time. With Cerra out this may increase slightly, I see him possibly adding 3-5 points to 110-112. I can’t really see too much more, unless Freo win 12 or more games and his TOG increases. He’s still one to consider as an upgrade, if he gets sub $550K . He also can miss the odd game,( played 20 last year ) so not a starting pick for me.

            1

            0
            1. Cheers FT,
Yeah his TOG has always been an issue I hoped he’d get a bit more this year but even his AAMI game was around that low 70s. Might have to consider the move below.

              Parish
Or I go chapman -> Wilmot & andyB -> Steele.

              Hmmmmmmm

  38. Last couple of spots in my Team.

    TU : Maginness m/f and N.Martin
    Or
    TD: Mead and Baldwin

M/F would come in really handy for my team to change Rachele and/or correct trade Xerri to JHF. But I rate Baldwin having the best job security. Thoughts welcome

    1

    1
  39. I have Ward and Stephens as M7/8 and Daicos (E) and JHF both on the bench.
Good move or crazy ass dumb move?

    0

    21
  40. For M11, already have Macdonald and Owens. Both the same price.

    T/U Hough (WC)
    T/D Soligo (Ade)

    10

    2
  41. Who to replace Darcy with:
    T/U: NicNat
    T/D: Witts

Already have got Grundy, and obviously missed the Gawn boat!!

    Thoughts appreciated.

    8

    7
    1. Witts. I love Nic Nat, but you’re basically committing to him for the rest of the season, Witts can be a cow like object and earn more cash. Then you can upgrade elsewhere

      2

      0
  42. Could we perhaps have a poll for Darcy & Lloyd ? Who to replace them with, or if they are to be replaced at all?

I’m sure many of us are in the same boat with either Darcy and Lloyd or both!!

    Cheers.

    4

    1
  43. T/U – Ward (M9) & Xerri
    T/D – Stephens (M9) & Brodie

Have to run O’Driscoll D8 to squeeze in Macrae, Miller & Oliver so I’m hoping he gets a game soon

    3

    1
  44. Need help deciding this last minute 50/50

    TU crisp and jack hayes
    TD ridley and baldwin

I know hayes js is poor and don’t know if it is worth downgrading crisp to get baldwin to have better cash gen

    6

    0
    1. Baldwin JS isn’t much better. Crisp will average 5 more than Ridley IMO. Who knows with Ridley’s kick outs, where Crisp will always be in that midfield

      1

      0
    2. Definitely Crisp + Hayes

The saints coach loves Hayes and could remain in the side as an extra utility forward. Baldwin is a 19 yr old Key position player with an injury history who has a spot for a month until Jones gets back. Thats 1 price rise.

Plus if Hayes gets dropped he becomes a great R/F swing Captain loop

      2

      0
  45. TU Rachele and Uwland
    TD Hinge and Martin

Obviously Rachele the best of the lot, but is it better having two playing rookies? I feel Rachele could end up making more money than the two below as he’ll play every game

  46. Last one. Is Martin, Dixon & Hayes too much $102k rookies to carry

    T/U – Fade Martin
T/D – Rachelle to mid bench. Mitch Owens to N. Martin

Comment – Get Martin instead of Xerri or Brodie

    1. As many 102K rookies that are viable and have job security is how many you should have.

I’d fade one of Martin/Dixon and use them as a correction option later.

Martin has a better role on a better team and a decent chance of staying in the side. Essendon’s forward line is weak and needs someone who can get goals.

  47. Went Darcy down to Witts so now have a whole bunch of cash to upgrade Chapman to:

    TU: Ridley
    TD: Dawson

    9

    2
    1. Alternatively, have enough cash to upgrade Xerri to Taranto so second question:

      TU: Upgrade Chapman
      TD: Upgrade Xerri

  48. Morning all…the carnage has started has it not?…last decision below and would appreciate sage advice…

Best option as I need to remove LLoyd…

Current Defence is: Lloyd, Crisp, Short, Whitfield, McInerney, McCartin

TU: Stewart, Xerri (F5) $700 ITB or
    TD: Heeney (F2), Chapman (D5) $69,400 ITB

    Or any other suggestions?….TIA

  49. Need to ditch Lloyd. Already have Crisp and Short in DEF.

    TU – Whitfield/Xerri

TU Owens 117k (Saints) + Cash difference for later correction

  51. With Darcy and his calf issues, do I go:

    T/U: NicNat & Hinge
    T/d: Witts & Sicily

    Already have Grundy as R1.

    Cheers Coaches!

    1. Would need a crystal ball… play a similar role, similar price, I’d field both if you can and try not to have 180k+ rookies on the bench.
Low risk either way as majority of teams are fielding them both.

  53. rookie question here

ive currently got all players selected Field/bench so do i need to swap someone out for my captain swap?

    1

    2
    1. Hi Dan,
I am assuming you want to take your vice captain score, if so you will need to field a non-playing player and make them your captain, then make sure you have that non-player covered by a playing emergency. If all your bench players are playing you will not be able to do it.

  54. Does anyone think Max Lynch at 200k as starting ruck for Hawks can be an option? Big boy is no longer their first choice ruck and Lynch seems to have won the role. Could he be Matt Flynn of last year?

    1. None in the immediate future.

Charlie dean was the only possible but is out injured and will not be available until Rd 9 -10.

TD: Baldwin + Brodie in the mids (enables M/F dpp swing)

  56. Originally running Darcy/Grundy line up. Do I
TU: Ride Darcy for a week, use as captains loophole for Macrae and play Hayes tonight
TD: Turn Darcy into Witts, Berry into Rowell and Martin into Brodie(pushes Baldwin to F7)

    1

    9
    1. You can wait until after tonight’s game and evaluate after Hayes plays.

If you think that he scored sufficient points ( plus Macrae captaincy score) then you can keep Darcy if not, go with your alternative plan.

I was under the impression that the trades will be locked (as in no unlimited trades) once the ball was bounced tonight?

  57. F5 quizz.

I was all in on Xerri, but him being named in the forward pocket, made me start to doubt him. While Brodie plays he scores,I have’t been sold yet , but a third of you have faith, so maybe I should trust the pack ? I also missed Durdin ,so I have a get out either way. Who would you start ?

    T/U Brodie. ( 37% ownership )

    T/D Xerri ( 17% ownership )

    18

    8
    1. Ok I can’t believe it . I’m picking Brodie. His ownership is so high if he pops off, and I miss out I will die. I also want to be cheering him on his first AFL game.

Brodie and the GOV. I would of laughed at you a month ago.

      Go Freo !

      1. FT, sure he runs like a hunched-over goat man, but he’s effective and he’s footy smart. Somehow he even reminds me of Michael Barlow….plus, the coach is his biggest fan at the moment. Get on board and cheer on the goat man!

    2. Can’t see Xerri sitting in the forward 50 for much of the game. They have been talking him up as the #1 ruck all off-season. Would not be surprised to see him at the first centre bounce.

  58. Mal here. Worth cashing in on the rookies over a Brodie type?

    T/U Stephens (Mid Bench) & Martin – $60k bank
    T/D Owens (Mid Bench) & Brodie – $1k bank

Other FWD rooks are Dixon, Durdin & Rachele

  59. Have a bit of money to play with.

I’m slightly worried Horny boy Francis won’t get as much time in the guts as we hope. Should I swap him out for J Berry??

    T/D J Berry

    1. TU: Whitfield (D3), Touk (M3), Owens (M11) and Brodie (F4)

TD: Ridley (D3), Parish (M3), Stephens (M9) and Xerri (F4)

      Many thanks.

  60. TU – Get rid of Hough/H.Dixon, take Durdins E of 71 & loop Macraes VC of 133
TD – Keep Hough/H.Dixon but no loops or NPRs in side

    1

    4
  61. TU: Bring in Hollands for Martin and use him as a loophole for Macrae’s VC (with Durdin as my emergency). Had Parker as my loophole player, but unfortunately the Dogs played the first game.
TD: Keep Martin and chance it with Miller as captain

    2

    1. McCartin ahead of both of them, Tom.

Hinge reliant on outside ball and De Koning still a kid.

McCartin experienced, no Lloyd may also help.

  62. Hey everyone Can anyone give me a update on N O’Driscoll. Ie when would he be expected to play?
    Thanks

    1

    0
    1. He seems down the pecking order at this stage.
There’s a first round draft pick and some pretty established players on our Emergencys ahead of him.
If Freo ( touch wood ) stay heathy , he probably remains in the WAFL. Theres a chance he bobs up later in the season as a downgrade option.

I wouldn’t be using him as a loop , thinking he may play early if that’s what your thinking.

      4

      0
      1. Sorry , I don’t like either chances Emma.

The Pies have a key players missing and Kelly doesn’t even make the emergency list. He doesn’t seem in the new coaches plans.

Skinner is named emergency, but Port have a pretty settled back 6 with L Jones as the 7th defender from bench. You would need an injury to a key back before he gets a crack.

Sinn will get games at some stage but his price makes it difficult to justify.

Best of luck in SC 2022.

  63. I don’t mind the idea of Odriscoll at D8.

Is a decent captain option and allows you to swing a DPP mid/def back into your defence (like say Daicos if he gets the DPP in week 6)

He provides a good price for a rookie correction trade and has a small possibility of playing if Freo have injuries ie Trent Bianco last season

Sinn/wanganeen are too expensive and there’s 0 hope with the 102k options

  64. Anyone have any ideas of Wilmot potential job security pls? Can’t quite afford Hinge and my last defender. Current Def…

    Have 144 k in. bank

Crisp, Ridley, Short, Whitfield, Hewett, McCartin, De Koning, ?

    cheers guys

    1. Suspended for Round 1, definitely gets a game at some stage and Coleman injured LT helps.

Don’t think Ah Chee holds in that half back spot but there’s also Answerth and Madden to compete with. Hard to be sure on Wilmot.

I’m not a fan of his role or injury history, but Hinge at 180k definitely has the JS.

I’d have advised dropping Crisp to Dale and grabbing Hinge but they’re both locked out.

Any other way you can rustle up the extra 40k for Hinge?

      2

      0
  65. Ok, so this is my current backline and forwards

DEF: Crisp, Ridley, Short (played), Chapman, Hinge, McCartin (Gibcus (played), De Koning)
FWD: Dunkley (played), Butters, Coniglio, Brodie, Xerri, Rachele (Durdin (played), Martin)

    With $29.5k remaining

    Should I…..

TU: Keep Chapman and Xerri at D4 and F5
TD: Downgrade Ridley to Whitfield, then downgrade Xerri to a cheaper playing forward and upgrade Chapman to Sicily (or McInerney if I can’t get Sicily).

  66. not sure if I have seen this as option to vote on

    T/ U – K Baldwin (bombers)
    T/D – W Brodie (Dockers)

cash saved on Baldwin … seems to be conflicting views on Brodie on the forum threads … thoughts??

    8
    1. All the votes are for McDonald but I feel Breust might take his spot next week plus he will spend all his time in the forward line. At least Port have said Mead will get some midfield minutes. And Mead is cheaper.

      1

      0
      1. McDonald $117K
        Mead $124K

Its really hard to get a read on JS.

For me Mead has to perform better to keep his job as Port a pushing top 4. There’s some serious completion for spots with Sinn almost guaranteed game time early.

McDonald probably has a bit more leeway in a rebuilding side. Also McDonald is more a wing / outside player . I doubt Breust affects him too much. Maybe you are confusing McDonald and Mcguiness. ?

  67. Pod rookie selection

I think Naish out scores Rachele

Nasish (WCE) should get games his 23 yr old, plays wing/HBF bit of a pod fwd/mid. only 4k more than Rachele.

    Naish T/U
    Rachele T/D

  68. With Hayes putting up a big score last night, is it worth the punt bringing in Pruess for Darcy as R2, taking Hayes’ score of 127 and using the 400k to strengthen the rest of the side?

TU: Try and gain an edge and take the punt
TD: Play it safe and stick to Darcy

  71. Who do I trade Dixon to so I can loop Martin’s score onto the field and also being to a player that will likey play in the near future?

  72. Is it worth bringing in a non playing rookie to use Martin’s 114 or just back W brodie and x Teri to score decent today.

The emergency I was gonna get rid of is Dixon buy he provides dpp for Hayes. So dunno if it’s worth it.

    T/U for E Holland’s (so I can take the 114)
T/D keep W brodie and X Teri on field with

Dixon as my loop for Hayes in future rounds.
