    1. So many factors here, TR.

If going for overall – are you in touch with the top 1000 and reckon you can make up the ground?

If not going for overall – how’s your head to head look? Will 50-60pts get you over the line or are you winning/losing anyway?

And generally – are you expecting to have trades leftover, or are you going to need to maximise your money gain from every single one to get you a full team?

Gotta determine whether that extra 50-60pts this week makes a difference, and if making the trade is going to cost you more than 50-60pts down the line.

  2. Use four trades this weekend, leaving me with 11 trades. Will have 3 upgrades to go for full premo.

    TU – Do it!
    TD – Save some trades

    1. Gotta use them at some point, Adz, if you’ve got rookies who have peaked and targets at a good price, just get them done and start improving your scores.

  3. I’m waiting to see if Brockman’s named.

    It’s the difference between 15-16, after this….

To come out Poulter, Berry and$389K Bank.

    So…while I’m waiting a ” would you rather ? ”

    Hall and Haynes and $80K

He was good last year when Davis played, it does leave Laird @M8
Give’s me the option of going Impey to Langford late, as one will lose >25k and the other will rise >30k

    Or….

    Langford and Greene and $16K

This means I hold Impey ,and still have a chance to get another gun mid.

    T/U Hall and Haynes

    T/D Greene and Langford.

    Thanks 🙂

    1. Hi FT, Tyler Brockman is an emergency.

I just saw online that Brockman had been on leave to WA and returned to Victoria this week. No verification about this report as yet.

All Hawthorn emergencies are named in VFL team, playing Sunday 11.05 AM.
(Tyler Brockman, Josh Morris, Conor Nash, Emerson Jeka)

      Have a great weekend.

      1. Thanks CT.

        There’s a faint chance he’s named emergency.

As much as I’d like to trade him to Bramble and field another player, I’m not sure he’s worth a trade out at his price. Best to just hope he gets some games later in the year.

Thanks for the update, and best of luck on this horror Bye weekend.

  4. Personally I’m cactus this round. Whoever is playing me gets a freebie….. which I hate…. love to receive but am trading to get my team Finals ready. Cough Cough.

  5. Any update on Mumford injury? How long he’ll be out for?

TU: Long enough for Briggs to get a good run
    TD: Back in 1-2 weeks

    1. Nothing official from GWS, but that is nothing new as they tend to keep their cards close to their chest.

All we know is that he trained away from main group on Thursday, and saying that he could be rested. Then he was then dropped this week with “back”. No further details released.

  6. I currently have 8 trades remaining, if I make all 4 trades this week I will field 17 (waterman & Reeves not playing hurt me). That leaves me with only 4 trades remaining and only 1 rookie playing on the field after bye rounds.

TU: Don’t stress, you’ve only got one rookie to upgrade then rocking a full premo team
TD: Save the trades you’ll need them

  7. I have to bring in a 102k rookie this week, aside from this week they’ll be on bench so doesn’t necessarily have to be a playing rookie, however it is a handy bonus. Should i do either:

T/U: Bramble (gives me an extra player on field this week but might mean missing Edwards next week if he’s named)
T/D: non-playing DPP rookie like Saunders (allows for a lot movement between my def/fwd and mid/fwd loopholes)

    1. I also was conflicted about Edwards, who looks really good, but WCE have a large number of players ready to return after their bye. I don’t know if he will play but Hawthorn are playing their rookies. It seems Bramble’s place in the team is up to him to lose. He was mentioned in a presser last week that his debut was imminent after impressing in VFL and scratch matches.
I traded in Bramble as he is playing and is dirt cheap allowing me to upgrade another rookie.
      Best of luck Joe T.

    1. Arn’t you the same person who claims to be in the top 100 & then asks a question like this to bring in one of the most consistent, best scoring, must have players in the comp for a rookie… come on man

  8. I have 8 trades with 2 rookies remaining to upgrade. I’m pondering should I waste 1 trade and bring in Langford for poulter or waste 2 trades and bring in Zerrett for poulter while going down to a Briggs/bramble

    Tu; Langford (1 trade)
    Td; zerrett (2 trades)

  9. Owned Heeney for only 2 weeks and copped a 40 & 50. Will a week off help his soreness and he come back fresh and firing or do I trade? My week 14 is cooked anyway so I don’t mind copping his donut.

TU – gotta trade him . -> green or Langford
TD – hold for F6 he will come good

    1. You would think that the week off would be beneficial.

It worked for CJ from Hawthorn. He bounced back with a ton.

  10. Just wanting to read the room:
Does everyone make all their trades at once or do 1 one are time (after 1st game lockout).
Personally I make all my trades before the 1st lockout as I have the opportunity to reverse trades. Can’t deal with the stress of making trades after it as you have to know what you want to do.
    Enjoy the weekend!!

    1. I’m the same as you. Make it all at once to avoid overthinking the weekend but it backfired last week with Reeves.

  11. Tu – parish + Langford
    TD – jelly + Dale
Will enable 18 on the field

Comment – keep zorko but field two donuts

  12. Tossing up between Rozee and Hall for Rowe, naturally Rozee saves me 200k and allows me to get a Neale/Mcluggage/Lyons in my Mid next week and Danger going forward
    TU Rozee
    TD Hall

  13. Current forward line:
Dusty zorko ziebell Impey Heeney CCJ (weightman Waterman)

    Thoughts on going –
Heeney and Waterman too Greene and Langford.

    Next week Impey too danger…

  14. TU: Ridley
    TD: Whitfield

Whitefield is injury prone, Ridley appears to have had a slight role change.

    1. Not much to go on with Bramble, his main utility is he’s a 102k downgrade and will play this week.

  15. Only 12 warm bodies.. thinking

Zorko, Waterman, Jordon > Parish, AHall, Bramble/Edwards
Leaves 8 trades and 3 premo upgrades

    Or

    Poulter, Jordon > Parish , Bramble /Edwards
Leaves 9 trades and 4 premo upgrades

    1

    2
  16. Poulter/Jordon > Jelly/ Bramble. …120k b

    Or

    Poulter/Jordon > Parish/ Bramble …50k b

    Premo Mids..

    Oliver, Lyons, Zerret, Titch, Steele,Macrae

  17. Silly Newby Question…Does looping still work on the bye round with Best 18 scores?
I presume I can C Reeves (non player) with VC Lyons? Thanks
    TU C Reeves, VC Lyons
    TD C Parish
    Thanks

  18. Newb question too. Can you loop two players in the same position (mids) and get the higher of the two E scores or does the lowest of the two still apply?

    0

    1
    1. No.

If you’ve got 1 player on field not playing and two playing emergencies, you get the lower E score.
