Adam Kingsley said: “I think he might have got stood on, I’m not sure exactly what it was. He went downstairs for a little bit and we were trying to find out. Then he was back on the ground. I don’t think it’s anything. He played the whole last quarter and didn’t appear to have an issue.”
GWS: Kieren Briggs (managed) and Stephen Coniglio (shoulder).
Adam Kingsley said: “We’ve still got some players to come back in. I think Briggs and Coniglio will come back in next week hopefully. I would expect they will. I’ve said that about Cogs for a couple of weeks, so I probably shouldn’t.”
North Melbourne: Harry Sheezel who laboured in the second half and spent time on the sidelines favouring one leg.
Alastair Clarkson said: “He got a bit of an ankle, he got stomped on or something. He was a little bit sore in the second half… Hopefully it’s just a knock. We’ll get it assessed during the week and he’s good to go again.”
WCE: Harley Reid who was troubled by a leg problem.
“Not exactly (sure) what it was but it was a lower leg. He just wasn’t 100%. We thought he’s a match-winner too, so we thought we’d try something different… we decided just to put him forward. I’m not 100% sure what it is.”
Sean Darcy was a late withdrawal, pulled out during the warm-up with left knee strapped having had soreness during the week.
“In the short term, I am (worried). He’s going to carry a little bit of soreness in that knee for the rest of the year. We’ll manage him through that. Probably the six-day break this week caught him out.”
“Given what we’re managing there, we accept it is going to be a bit like that for the rest of the season until he can get a rest really. Ideally, he doesn’t roll that ankle and he is OK. He was moving around OK. It is something he is going to have to manage.”
“He was fine to go. He got through parts of training a couple of days ago, got running again yesterday, so unfortunately it is just a niggle players get at this part of the year. It is one of those we are going to manage… we’ll just take 24 hours and make sure we get the right assessment.”
Carlton: Jordan Boyd, Jack Martin, Lachie Fogarty and Adam Saad will all be scanned on Monday.
“Boydy played with an adductor for most of the game, so he was on one leg doing the best he possibly could to try and help us. Martin with the hamstring. Fogarty with the shoulder. ‘Saady’ with a hamstring. Charlie with an ankle.”
Hawthorn: Will Day was subbed out at three-quarter time.
“He was just cramping up. He’s obviously an important player for us. We’ve had a few guys who’ve been sore of late, he’s one of those. We want to make sure he’s cherry ripe for the rest of the season.”
Collingwood: Craig McRae has been issued a warning by the AFL after his criticism of the umpiring in his post-match press conference on Friday night.
AFL executive general manager Laura Kane made contact with McRae on Monday after last year’s premiership coach expressed his frustrations at the SCG.
The League won’t take any further action.
“The AFL has today been in touch with Collingwood and cautioned senior coach Craig McRae in regard to his comments towards umpires in the post match press conference,” AFL spokesman Jay Allen said on Monday afternoon.
Still don’t know how Mac Andrew hasn’t been cited by the MRO for kicking an opponent while the opponent was lying on the ground. Happened with about a minute to go in the game, forward pocket.

I’m tempted to use one of my last two trades on getting rid of him
What is behind Luke Ryan’s scoring over the back end of the year? Back to normal with Pearce returning? Trying to work out what to do with sheezel out. Thankyou in advance.
North Melbourne: Hugh Greenwood was given a guard of honour after today’s VFL loss to Southport. Understand he won’t be offered a new contract , so this was a Kangaroos farewell, but not yet an official retirement.
If this is it, he finishes on 121 games. 51 for Adelaide, 32 for Gold Coast & 38 for North. Not bad at all for someone who didn’t play any footy between the ages of 16 & 24.
