North Melbourne: Colby McKercher (ribs) “He wasn’t able to continue in the game. We just didn’t really want to take a risk. He’s taken a heavy knock. Hopefully he’ll be right for next week, but we’re not too sure yet. .”
my apologies….please ignore the above post..woke up, checked feeds and had this X notification from a Tom Browne AFL…no idea how or why…. obviously fake…

The mid-season draft will take place on Wednesday, May 29 between rounds 11 and 12.
Free agency opens on October 4 to Friday, October 11.
The trade period will be Monday, October 7 until Wednesday, October 16
The draft will again be split over two nights in November, with the first round to be conducted on Wednesday, November 20 and the rest of the national draft to follow on Thursday, November 21.
The rookie and pre-season drafts will be staged on Friday, November 22.
Charlie Cameron is free to play in Brisbane’s round six clash with Geelong after his one-match ban for rough conduct was downgraded to a fine at the AFL Tribunal.
Western Bulldogs:
Tom Liberatore has been medically cleared to return once he exits concussion protocols. Passed a series of cardiovascular and respiratory assessments today. Still no concussion symptoms
Luke Beveridge: “You’re seeing some change, within that inside mid area and even the ruck area, with Sam Darcy playing a bit more ruck and Tim English playing a bit more forward.”
Despite pushing to return from a back niggle, Travis Boak failed to complete all of today’s main session at Alberton and is highly unlikely to tackle Collingwood on Saturday.
While Charlie Dixon missed a second straight session due to illness.
Luke Jackson will play significant stints in attack but Jackson will still be needed for regular stints in the ruck as well, given that Darcy is still underdone.
“We will probably try to mix it up a little bit more than maybe we have in the past while Sean finds his form and fitness,” Dockers coach Justin Longmuir said on Thursday.
“It will evolve. At this stage they’ll mix it up in the ruck. Sean will spend a bit of time forward, but not a heap of time.
“He’s coming off a pretty limited prep if you look at his summer, so it will take a little bit of time for him to get back to the amount of ruck work that he did last year.”
“He got rattled in a collision & it affected his breathing, which was why he needed to get checked. We were delighted there was nothing structural wrong with him, & he was right to go by Tuesday.”
Fremantle: Hayden Young had a ‘tight hammy’, Justin Longmuir says, with the midfielder sitting out the final 19 minutes of the match. The coach is hoping it’s just precautionary
Isn’t Haley read the leading goal kicker in the Grong Grong women’s League.
I guess a slab would be good enough to get her.
Seriously Harley Reid ( WCE variety) is a gun but after starting as highest priced rookie this year ($207k)he has risen to $318k and a BE of -18. He could add another $70k in the next 2 weeks.
You would have missed his biggest price rises.
A well chosen cheap rookie could generate same amount but the prospect of points need to be considered.
Can Reid continue his upward points spiral for a first year player?
Hey CT, maybe something to consider with Reid is that he does do a Daicos/Sheezel and becomes a rookie keeper, best of both worlds, weekly scoring and cash gen all the way to over 500k. Not a lot of rookies left to make 200k this year and certainly none that might go at 110+ all year!
There’s not doubt that simmo is going to give him the keys, and with Yeo riding shotgun he won’t cop all the flak!
West Coast: Tom Barrass has been suspended for one match for rough conduct on Michael Walters (graded as Careless Conduct, Medium Impact, High Contact).
GWS: Toby Greene and Jesse Hogan have both been banned for one match.
Match Review Officer has graded the Toby Greene incident careless conduct, medium impact and high contact, which means Greene has copped a one-game ban.
Hogan has been cited for a strike on Blues defender Lewis Young late in the game, with the incident graded intentional, low impact and high contact, which has also triggered a one-game ban.
Adelaide has accepted Matt Crouch’s one-game suspension. Will miss Friday night vs Essendon
Do we know if Yeo’s tackle will be looked ar ?
We’ll find out later this afternoon whether he was cited
As soon as match review is released I will post the news.
Yeo, given all clear.
Richmond: Judson Clarke did his ACL playing VFL on Saturday.
WCE: Harley Reid has been named the Rising Star nominee for round five
Don’t tell any North supporters.
Rumours from this area has Walsh’s back is not right and is week to week. Family lives in this area. Buyer beware.
Christian Salem (hamstring) Scans have confirmed injury.
“At this stage, we expect him to miss approximately four to six weeks, given the nature of the injury.”
Alan Richardson
Richmond : Jayden Short (calf) in doubt for round 7.
WCE: Elliot Yeo with no case to answer from MRO for tackle on Nick Vlastuin.
North Melbourne: Colby McKercher (ribs) “He wasn’t able to continue in the game. We just didn’t really want to take a risk. He’s taken a heavy knock. Hopefully he’ll be right for next week, but we’re not too sure yet. .”

…would appreciate someone removing the post…
That fake post absolutely teased me on Twitter. It’s cruel to see that as a fantasy team coach, when you desperately want it

will Cadman get Ruck?
Saw on X from Jaiden Popowski that he is at roughly 20% ruck time so is unlikely
Hopefully Darcy gets ruck DPPP…..
Adelaide: Jordon Butts is battling a hamstring complaint and missed Tuesday training. Doubtful for round 6.
St Kilda: Max King After being cleared of major knee damage still remains doubtful for round 6.
“It’s probably slim – more unlikely than likely. No structural damage – he’s going to move today,” Lyon said.
Collingwood: Nathan Murphy has retired after advice from the AFL’s medical concussion panel.
Murphy has not played since being subbed out of last year’s Grand Final win at quarter-time due to concussion. It was his 10th concussion.
Murphy ends his AFL career with 57 games and a premiership medallion.

Pendlebury trained fully on Tuesday and Thursday and appears set to benefit from the Magpies having the bye last weekend.

Luke Jackson will play significant stints in attack but Jackson will still be needed for regular stints in the ruck as well, given that Darcy is still underdone.
