DEFENDERS
Rory Laird (MID) (ADE, $603,300, 112, 119, 119)
Six hundred-plus scores in a row for the always-popular defender, with four of those being in the captaincy-worthy 120+ range.
Dan Houston (PTA, $398,800, 86, 56, 75)
Was averaging 92 for the season until a few weeks ago, but has since posted three very blah scores in a row: 67, 48, and 52.
MIDFIELDERS
Sam Walsh (CAR, $654,800, 122, 163, 138)
In near unstoppable form at the moment, with scores of 131, 138, 158, and 193 in the last four weeks. Plays North Melbourne this week, so there’s no reason that streak shouldn’t continue.
Marcus Bontempelli (WBD, $619,600, 124, 97, 118)
A couple of sub-tons in the last three weeks (83 and 93) might have taken the lustre off an otherwise superb season ever so slightly, but expect the Bronwlow favourite to bounce back soon enough.
RUCKS
Todd Goldstein (NTH, $573,000, 102, 120, 115)
In good recent form, and has a good run home in terms of direct opponents. You’d be brave to pick him ahead of Gawn at around the same price, but it might not be such a bad idea.
Max Gawn (MEL, $558,900, 120, 99, 105)
More and more ruck minutes for young Luke Jackson have meant fewer and fewer SuperCoach points for big Max, with his last 120+ score coming back in Round 13.
FORWARDS
Patrick Dangerfield (MID) (GEE, $594,900, 105, 138, 121)
Two big scores in the last three weeks, including a monster 184-point effort against the Bombers in Round 16, have seen Paddy’s price skyrocket, after a slow-ish start to the season. Hard to afford now, but well done to all those who jumped on when he was under $500K a few weeks ago.
Taylor Walker (ADE, $391,900, 90, 73, 74)
A 107 against the Blues in Round 15 would have pleased his coaches, but the other three of his last four games have been 34, 57, and 56 – yuck. If nothing else, he serves as a good reminder of just how up-and-down key forwards can be.

I’ve got 3 Trades left, think I have about 3 out of 4 finals sewn up, strategy is to cash Dusty in for Ruscoe, hope Ruscoe continues his form in his new role and hope to use the cash and final trades in couple of weeks time to beef up the forward line for the finals.
Does anyone have any thoughts on why Houstons scoring has dropped off?
