SUNDAY

Jack Steele has been charged with rough conduct against Lachie Ash in the third quarter. Assessed as careless conduct, low impact and high contact. He was fined $3000 with an early plea reduced to $2000

Nick Daicos was charged for a strike on Carlton’s Blake Acres in the third quarter. Assessed as intentional conduct, low impact and body contact. He was fined $3000 with an early plea reduced to $2000

Sam Frost, who was reported on the spot for his strike on West Coast’s Connor West, was also issued a $3000 fine with the Match Review Officer grading his hit as careless conduct, low-impact and high-contact. An early plea reduces fine to $2000

 

SATURDAY

Izak Rankine and Sydney’s Will Hayward have both been cleared by the Match Review Officer for making high contact with an opponent on Saturday.

Rankine was reported for his hit on the Western Bulldogs’ Taylor Duryea in Ballarat, while Hayward made heavy contact with North Melbourne’s George Wardlaw at Marvel Stadium.

MRO Michael Christian deeming their actions to be reasonable in the circumstances.

“It was the view of the MRO that Rankine was contesting the ball and it was reasonable for Rankine to contest the ball in that way. No further action was taken,”

On Hayward: “As the ball is in the air, Hayward and Wardlaw both jump from opposite directions to contest and high contact is made by Hayward on Wardlaw. It was the view of the MRO that Hayward’s actions were not unreasonable in the circumstances. No further action was taken.”

Will Ashcroft and Brandon Starcevich as well as Gold Coast’s Nick Holman were all fined for a melee in the second quarter of the Q-Clash at the Gabba.

Will Ashcroft – $1500 – early plea $1000

Nick Holman – $1500 – early plea $1000

Brandon Starcevich – $2500 – early plea $1500 (second offence)

 

FRIDAY

Lachie Hunter  was charged with forceful front on contact on Connor Rozee in the third quarter. The Match Review Officer deemed Hunter’s action as careless conduct, medium impact and high contact. Resulting in a one game suspension.

# Melbourne will challenge the suspension

Tom Jonas was also handed a one match ban, cited for rough conduct on Demons forward Tom McDonald.  The last-quarter incident was graded careless conduct, medium impact and high contact.

Jack Viney charged with rough conduct over his unusual soccer-style slide tackle on Dan Houston in the last quarter. careless conduct, medium impact and body contact.

Christian Salem was charged with tripping Jason Horne-Francis in the fourth quarter and fined $3000 but can accept a $2000 sanction for an early plea

Ollie Lord charged with rough conduct on Jake Lever.Assessed as careless conduct, low impact and body contact. Fined $3000 but can accept a $2000 sanction for an early plea
